We are across from city hall, 1/2 a block from the shops, eateries, downtown, and the the bike path, and beautiful Stocks Park, and only 5 blocks from the College.

The most outstanding feature of the apartment is the tall ceilings and 7 foot windows. From this second floor apartment, you get a great birds-eye view of the scene on the street.

It is a self check in, keyless entry (room code is sent the night before check in). Check in is typically anytime after 4pm, and check out is by 11am. Formerly the home of Merton Fitzpatrick, one of the founders of the original Republican Party, the house has seen many generations of occupants and is being restored while still operating today. What once was a mansion, is now comprised of 8 full apartments, 6 of the 8 apartment units are reserved for guests. The other two house long time tenants who love and understand Old Houses.
We enjoy the eclectic decor (Which Nancy has collected when she goes antiquing) , and cozy "home away from home" feel this old house has. We hope that you will too!

You'll also enjoy high-speed Wifi Internet.

Enjoy the beautiful bay windows at The Hutch. Inside the apartment, two big bay windows give lovely views overlooking the woods and gardens. Outside, there's a large lawn with a fire ring and firewood in the woods. We happily prepare campfires or the sauna for all guests.

Smoking is not permitted inside; you may smoke on the deck or grounds. Pets are not allowed.

Apartment 3 is located on the right side of house , which faces a fitness center/ gym and a dollar store. It has its own little porch and is our largest apartment. It has a nice sized kitchen with dining table and 4 chairs, a living room with a full sized futon bed, a separate bedroom with a full sized bed, a full bath with shower, and nice sized office with pub table and chairs (perfect for playing games, eating, etc). There is also a full desk with drawers and chair for a workspace in the office.

This is a beautiful downstairs apartment, with all of the amenities of home. The apartment is accessed either by the front door on the porch, or by the back door which is open to a large, grassy lot.

Inside, we have a very functional kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, crock pot, blender, and Keurig coffee maker. Basic kitchen tools are provided.

The apartment sleeps 6 adults, though we'd be happy to host more if at least two are children. Each bedroom has a comfortable 12" queen sized memory foam mattress, and there is an additional folding floor mattress. There is also a sound/white noise machine for anyone who needs it :)

The living room is comfortable, with a smart TV and wifi available. Window air conditioning units are provided.

The space
Welcome to our downtown apartment! We're excited to host our recently renovated place with you for your time in Jackson. This comfortable 1 bed/ 1 bath apartment is located on the main level of a small apartment building that is ideally located near pretty much everything.

The kitchen is well stocked with a stainless steel refrigerator, microwave, and gas oven/range. Other essentials like a blender, kettle, coffee maker, etc are also provided.

The living room has a large, comfortable couch with chaise lounge, along with a 55" Roku tv. Wifi is fast and reliable.

The bedroom is well equipped with two large closets, a dresser, and a comfortable memory foam mattress (we have the same one in our other units and get tons of compliments!).

Towels and linens are provided, along with basic cleaning supplies and a cordless vacuum.

Guest access
This is a full, private apartment with kitchen, bathroom, living room, and bedroom. It is accessed off of a common hallway that leads from the parking area.

While the building is located in the very Heart of Hillsdale, for the most part the building and surroundings are quiet, except occasionally during early morning hours when the post office trucks are being loaded . Only a block away is beautiful Stocks Park. Half a block away are most of Hillsdale's Shops and Restaurants. Five blocks in the other direction, is the Hillsdale College Campus.

Circa 1850, 76 North was built as the home and office of a prominent Hillsdale lawyer and judge. The Great Depression found 76 North in a state of disrepair. Bought by a developer in the late 30's, it was made into apartments and sold a few times afterwards, but never
recovered its original glory.
The new owners have been at work since 2006 to restore and preserve this Historic American Relic. Comfortable apartments now, most rental income goes toward
repairs, preservation and improvement

The space
Apartment 1 consists of 2 larger rooms, 1) a dining and kitchen area of 13x11 (approx) and 2) a Bedroom with Queen Bed, a sleeping alcove approx 5x8 with a twin bed and a seating area and a desk/ work area of 11x11, in addition, The bathroom with shower is off of the Dining-Kitchen area. Floors are antique hardwood and furnishings are generally vintage or antique. There is a 32" smart tv which can be used with your laptop for movies, etc. Wifi always.The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances and cookware, as well as dishes and silverware. Keurig coffee as well as tea and snacks are complementary.
Sleeps 3, 2 in Queen Bed and 1 in twin bed. The twin bed is in a small sleeping alcove attached to bedroom. Thanks

Other things to note
A beautiful park at the corner of Ferris and Bacon, Stocks Park, is nearby. We are in the Heart of Hillsdale,only half a block from the main street and stores, across the street from the post office, police and fire, city hall, a great location for walking around town. We are 4 blocks from the Hillsdale College campus. There are a number of restaurants within 2 blocks, but you if wish, you can cook for yourself in your fully equipped kitchen.
The apartment has continuous Wifi, internet, and a flat screen tv which can be used for movies (your subscriptions) news weather as well as some free features and as a computer monitor.
Occasionally during heavy rainfall, sand and water can be tracked in on your shoes from the parking lot. We always clean and mop floors before a new guest checks in, and try to stay out of the way after checkin, but if you are staying a few days or a week or more and wish additional cleaning, it can be arranged. There are also cleaning supplies in the apartment.

The space
Apartment 21 is at the top of the stairs of a Historic Victorian Building Built Circa 1854. Bought in 2006 by new owners, the building is constantly being repaired but with the goal of preserving its Historic character. Every effort is being made to save, and in some cases recreate or restore, its unique features such as antique hardwood floors, original woodwork and moldings.
Apartment 21 has a kitchen which includes range, refrigerator, microwave and Keurig coffee maker, pots and pans, dishes, silverware, just like home! If you don't feel like going out to eat, you don't have to!
The bedroom is cozy, perfect for two, with a 1920's metal bed.
The bathroom is finished and complete with shower, sink, toilet and tile floor.
The living room of the apartmentis a great place to relax. It boasts an oversized daybed, loaded with pillows, very comfortable and a 43" TV with Roku. In one corner a desk and comfortable chair are perfect for catching up on office tasks or homework. Across the room, sits an old gliding rocker, also very comfortable. A bay window looks down on the street and nearby buildings and lets in the sunlight during the day. At bedtime, pillows are removed from the daybed and it becomes an extra bed for a third person, adult or child.

The community laundry room is on the second floor. Laundry hours are 7:30am to 10 pm.

A 4 yard trash receptacle is provided in parking lot for your convenience.
The 16 step stairway in the center of the building may be an issue for some adults and young children who should always be supervised on the stairs.

The Willow Leaf is a pleasant upstairs apartment, with all of the amenities of home. The apartment is accessed by exterior stairs on the back of the home, which opens up into a spacious, grassy lot. A small deck/patio is at the top of the stairs, adjacent to the mudroom for the apartment.

Inside, we have a very functional kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, crock pot, and Keurig coffee maker. Basic kitchen tools are provided (let us know if you are needing something specific! We love to cook :) )

The Willow Leaf sleeps 4 adults, though we'd be happy to host more if at least two are children. There is a comfortable 12" memory foam mattress in the bedroom, as well as a spacious pull out couch with a memory foam topper. There is also sound/white noise machine for anyone who needs it!

The living room is spacious and comfortable, with a smart TV and wifi available. And feel free to use the bluetooth speaker :) Window air conditioning units are provided.

The house is almost 200 years old. It was last purchased by the current owners in 2006, who have been repairing and restoring and upgrading and preserving the building since it was purchased. There is always a project in the works. Actually, the whole building is a work in progress. Since there was so much work needed, the apartments were rehabilitated one at a time, then rented to generate more income to rehab or repair the next item on the list. Most of the tenants and guests love old buildings and history.
What started out as a business investment has now become a labor of love with most rental income being used to repair and preserve the building.
Locationwise, the building is centrally located 1/2 a block from Hillsdale shops and eateries, 1/2 a block from Stocks Park and the bike path(free bike rental for each apartment if requested) about 4 blocks from the fair grounds, and across the street from police and fire depts, post office and city hall.

Please note: This house was built in 1860! The stairs to the upstair bedroom are steep - that's how they did things back then! Guests who could not easily or safely traverse a spiral staircase could have trouble accessing the bedroom in our apartment.

In a pinch, an air mattress could be set up in the living room, but this would not be ideal for anyone.

We would love to have you stay with us, but please be aware that you will need to walk up and down a steep set of stairs that have a sharp turn at the bottom.

The space is in historic downtown Marshall. The large, comfortable bedroom is on the 2nd floor of a two-story building. Continental breakfast is included with the many amenities. Walk to attractions, shops, restaurants, bars, and breweries. There is parking/charging for electric cars.

All travelers are welcome. I just ask that you be kind and respectful of the space.

The space
The upstairs, downtown space is in the heart of Marshall! A short walk to restaurants, shopping, local theaters, and museums. A perfect location for participating in our many local events including; The Marshall Historic Home Tour, Candlelight Walking Tour, Blues Festival, and the 4th of July Cruise to the Fountain.

If you need a long-term stay, I may be able to accommodate you. Let me know the dates you need in your message and I can let you know availability.

Your accommodations are one large bedroom with a Queen-size bed and an attached full bath. The huge bathroom has a roomy, stand-up shower (no bathtub). We have a roll-away bed and a Pack-N-Play for use by a child or infant (an extra $20 per stay for each). The bedroom and bath are located within the second-floor office space. The bathroom is attached to your bedroom with locking doors. The bathroom is occasionally used by me (during working hours only Mon-Fri 10 to 5) so I ask you to keep the door unlocked when not in use. The bathroom is for your exclusive use on nights and weekends. Most guests tell us it's like having a huge apartment and not just a bedroom, as they feel quite comfortable using the shared space even when we happen to be working.

This space was designed to be an apartment, so it has everything you need. The area outside the bedroom and bathroom is shared by me and occasionally by my staff, but only during working hours. The area includes the kitchen, dining area, and sitting area, all available for your use. The office has very little traffic, and our main business is downstairs. The downstairs business is open Mon-Fri. It can be a little noisy during operating hours Mon-Fri from 7 am until 6 pm, but it quiets down later in the day. I am rarely around on the weekends or holidays, but if I will be, I let you know in advance. Weekday rentals are most suited to early risers or business travelers, and weekends and holidays should suit anyone.

Continental breakfast items and beverages will be available for guests in our kitchen area. If you have specific dietary needs, I'm happy to accommodate them with enough notice. There is a full-size refrigerator, a microwave, a stovetop (please don't bake or fry anything that is greasy or smells strongly, there isn't a stove hood to ventilate), and a dishwasher for your use. The kitchen has basic dishes, a few pots & pans, an electric teapot, Kuerig, utensils, a can-opener, corkscrew, salt & pepper, paper towels, dish soap, and dish towels. Please clean up after yourself in the kitchen and dining area.

There is a private entrance and plenty of free parking. On occasion, the free parking fills up because of special events, but we have the use of our own private parking spaces nearby. If you have an electric vehicle, there are charging stations in a lot next to our building and can be used for both day and night charging.

Guest access
The large bedroom is private and has inside door locks. The bathroom is attached. The rest of the space is shared, by me or occasionally by a staff member. Our workspaces are separate from the bedroom and we don't utilize the shared space much when we have guests. I use the kitchen area for lunch preparation. All common spaces are regularly cleaned and sanitized.
The bedroom is large enough to add our roll-away bed or our pack-n-play.
Unfortunately, our location is not handicap accessible.

During your stay
I prefer to meet first-time guests upon arrival to explain the Airbnb layout and other things it's important for guests to know. I also just enjoy meeting guests! When I'm not available, my co-host/sister will check you in. On weekdays, one of us may be in or around the office up until 6 pm or so. We can answer questions about the area, give suggestions or chat. If privacy is what you're looking for, we don't bother you after check-in unless you need us!

Other things to note
Your accommodations are above a business establishment. We operate Monday-Friday from 6:30 am and close our doors at 6 pm. We are open from 9 to 1 on Saturdays. The bedroom is fairly quiet though you may hear some noise from our business operating during open hours. I've not had any guests complain about it. There is also some traffic noise, because we are on the main thoroughfare through town. Though it hasn't been an issue with the vast majority of previous guests, it has bothered a few of those who tell me they are light sleepers. I have both a ceiling fan and an oscillating fan that can help with masking noise if needed.

The space
There is a comfy queen sized bed, one person futon, queen blow up mattress, and an extra-wide cot for up to 6 guests. 6 overnight guests is the maximum allowed.

There is also a maximum of two off street parking spaces available in the attached parking lot. Additional parking is available in the city lot at the back of the building and on the street. There are security cameras on the outside of the building, and the parking lot is lit at night.

The Space - Entering your apartment you'll first enter the living room then a fully functional kitchen with basic cooking utensils, plates, pans etc. Down the hall is the main bath and 2 bedrooms with a new queen memory foam mattresses


The apartment is one of 3 in the home and each unit is COMPLETELY PRIVATE AND SEPARATE. You have your own entrance, living room, kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms.

ABSOLUTELY NO PARTIES!!! If you show up with intent to throw a party do not be surprised when the police show up to escort you out with no refund!!! This is 100% against mine and Airbnb’s rules and you will be in jeopardy of being kicked off the platform and not allowed to use Airbnb again. Please do not test this as there is no exceptions!! No you cannot book for 4 and then have people “visit” the pool and property, again this is against Airbnb’s policy and not how the platform works. You will be asked to leave with no refund! If this is your intention please look elsewhere.


Guest Access - In addition to the home, please feel free to enjoy the pool which depending on spring and fall temps is typically heated from mid May into mid June, then again from mid September through October. Please shower before use of the pool or hot tub. There is a hibachi flattop grill and charcoal grill for your convenience along with some lounge chairs and small tables and chairs for comfort. THE POOL IS A SHARED SPACE ALONG WITH THE OTHER 2 AIRBNBS ON THE PROPERTY. Most times it is not used by both parties but occasionally you may see other guests at the pool.

This is a multi unit Airbnb meaning there are 3 apartments on site. You have your own private apartment, access and parking. The pool, hot tub and grill area are common spaces to be shared by guests. It is unlikely but possible that another guest could be at the pool. We keep the maximum number of guests to a minimum.

Other things to note
If you show up with more people than you booked for you will be asked to leave without refund. This is against Airbnb’s rules as well as my own. The maximum allowed is 4 people this is not negotiable. Kids count as people. You may not book for 4 and have more people show up to use the pool. There is absolutely no marijuana allowed in the house at all no exceptions, not rolled, stored or especially smoked. It is not fair to other guests staying especially ones with children should not be having to deal with this. If you do you will be asked to leave without refund and reported to Airbnb.
