Two exterior doors face Lake Huron with a wrap-around cedar deck to relax & watch the sunrise or use the seawall stairs (4) to walk down into the water!
*Note: Water levels reached record high (2020) but are quickly decreasing. Our beach is returning @rapid rate as of April 2025!

Use our beautiful Bay City State Park to launch/anchor/moor YOUR boat right in front of the suite (our home). Or use snowmobile to glide onto the ICE to fish! Larger equipment has nearby entry access plus beautiful Bay City State Park at @beginning of our road (beach)

We have a brand new large H-Shape [half circle] drive! You have entire access of the right side of the H drive that seamlessly connects to your floating wrap around deck, which directly connected to private entrance of your suite! 3 cars/trucks can comfortably fit on your drive. Or 2 trucks w/boats on trailers. Or if you’d like to free up your trailers from the drive- you are more than welcome to park across the street (marsh side) and/or park your trailers there when not in use. No worries though on parking, space, or safety!

DO NOT forgot your BIKES!! The #1 FAVORITE ACTIVITY our guests enjoy are the bike trails along the Marsh & State Park that begin @ our driveway!
IF you FORGET your bike, or space does not allow-you may rent our bikes! See rates. Bring your camera, binoculars, & water bottle for daily excursions! Most of our guests use our bikes 2-3x a day and venture a new trail each time! You may see deer, squirrels, beavers, egrets, large turtles, lily pads w/frogs birds & ducks nearby, fish and an endless amount of critters small & big-who are comfortable w/guests. Yes, even the deer hang out in our front yard- early morning & at dusk too! And yes bikes are used year round in between snows ;) Or cross country ski or snowmobile down to the Marsh and enjoy the wildlife this way!

- "From the moment we pulled in the drive, Dave & Stacey were SO hospitable! They were so kind. They took our daughters out tubing for their first time EVER and they had a blast! The weather was perfect, we loved the friendly neighborhood, biking and walking the beautiful trails, and evening bonfires. If we needed anything, Dave & Stacey were quick to provide. The suite was nice and quaint and offered all that we needed. The triple bunk bed was a nice feature for our 3 girls. Jamasceo House offers accommodations in Midland, 3.5 miles from Alden B. Dow Home & Studio and 30 miles from Dow Event Center. The accommodation is non-smoking. MBS International Airport is 15 miles away.

Security/Safety

Summary:
Built in 1867, the Averill Block is consider the oldest continuous use commercial building in the State of Michigan as well as the oldest building in downtown Bay City. The 12 ft ceilings and 8 foot tall windows allow for a light and airy feel. Located steps away from everything in downtown Bay City, you can simply park your car for the weekend and walk to everything.

All communication will be through the booking channel (Airbnb, VRBO, Booking, MisterBandB). Access to apps or email is needed for all notifications and communication.

The Space:
Two bedroom walk up apartment with a full kitchen. The apartment is located on the second floor.

Guest Access:
You will have access to your own two bedroom apartment.

The Neighborhood:
Located in the heart of downtown, you are steps away from shops, eateries, and a conference center. The area is known for being safe and easily walkable. Wenonah Park and Bay City's river walk is less than a block away where many Downtown events take place, including seasonal and major concerts, Riverside Art Festival, Great Lakes Bay Pride Festival, Bay City Fireworks Festival and so much more. We're also near the Bay City Downtown "Feet On The Street" block closures in the summertime, where there is extra seating, free wellness classes, shopping, music and more.

Getting Around:
Park your car and enjoy your river walk from Downtown to Uptown. Many historic neighborhoods East of Downtown provide walking tour.

Other Things to Note:
We provide passes for on-street parking or in city lots nearby.

We do not allow dogs, and Michigan law prohibits the smoking of any substance (cigarettes, cigars, marijuana, and e-cigarettes/vaping) in short term rentals used by the public. A $200 additional cleaning fee will be added to your stay.

There are security cameras located at the front door and in the hallway of the building.

- "The host was great with communication. The apartment was clean, a good size space, well equipped, convenient to downtown Bay City. We appreciated the extras that the host left such as bottled water, coffee, creamer, and some soft drinks. The towels were huge, fluffy, soft and absorbent! The beds were comfortable. I looked for a wine opener and didn’t see one, so you might stick one in your bag if staying in this unit. We normally stay at a hotel downtown but will be staying here from now on! It was so convenient and nice! We enjoyed our stay!!!"
