Our two-bedroom apartment in the sixteenth century Palazzo Spada is situated in the very heart of the historical centre of Lecce, renowned as ‘The Florence of the South’ for its beautiful Baroque architecture. It overlooks Piazza Duomo and other key sights such as Basilica Santa Croce, Piazza Sant’Oronzo and the Amphitheatre are just a few minutes’ walk away, while the railway station is 10 minutes on foot. The apartment is situated on the second floor which affords it wonderful views of the Duomo and the old town at large. However, as there is no lift, please note it is not appropriate for guests with mobility issues (there are 62 steps).
The apartment, which has been in our family for generations, is very light, airy and peaceful and tastefully furnished with both antique pieces and custom-built items. There is a stunning view of the Piazza Duomo from the large living room, which in addition to its comfortable lounge furniture, also contains a characteristic ‘Pietra Leccese’ fireplace.

The apartment can comfortably sleep up to 5 guests. There is a king-size double-bed in the main bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a large fitted wardrobe. In the other bedroom, there is a bed (which can be easily converted into a double) and a large chest of drawers. Guests staying in this room may use the second bathroom (on the raised level next to the fitted and fully furnished kitchen) and the large, fitted wardrobe/ cupboard in the hall. The day-bed in the living room can also be used as a fifth (single) bed for guests who are not too tall (bed-length 1’80 x 90cms width). IMPORTANT FOR WINTER MONTHS:

Fortunately, it's not too cold and there are enough blankets. However, for those who wish, there is the possibility of using a portable electric heater.

It is connected to a device to count the actual kW and euros consumed, in real-time. The cost is that of the electric company, not a euro more. So, more or less, an hour of use costs 0.30-0.55 euros depending on the chosen heat level.

This way, everyone has the opportunity to be independent even regarding the temperature. :)

This is a tourist rental for short or medium stays. No services are provided (except from the heart) apart from sheets and towels. Beyond 30 days, it is necessary to register the contract. I am almost always in the apartment, but I usually sleep in the house where I reside.

From the veranda you reach the bright living room, a room with a fully equipped kitchen, table, chairs, single bed with a second pull-out bed. Next to the living room there is a nice double room with a double bed and a single bed. Then we have the bathroom with shower and toilet. The presence of useful accessories (air conditioning, Wifi internet) and the immediate proximity to the sea, make it an excellent choice for your holidays.

- After reservation, you can fix check-in (from 4pm to 8pm) and check-out (from 8.30 am to 10am). An extra payment of euro 50 is required for late check-in upon request (from 8pm to 12am).

The loft is located on the ground floor of a quiet courtyard a few steps from Piazza Duomo and is ideal for those who want to stay in the heart of the historic center but at the same time in a quiet and secluded corner of the Baroque Lecce. Piazza Sant'Oronzo, the Roman Amphitheater and the Charles V Castle of Lecce are just 5 minutes walk from the apartment.
The loft has an independent access and is accessible even to disabled people.

Corte dei Romiti is in Limited Traffic Zone and it's possible to transit only from 4pm to 7pm (excluding holidays).

The accommodation is located a few kilometers from the sea towards Otranto, in a well-served and well-connected area. You can walk to the city center in a few minutes. It is well furnished and equipped with every comfort, with a separate entrance.
