This beautifully designed one bedroom top (3rd) floor unit is the ideal getaway for couples or singles. The complex is stairs only with no lifts. Located across the road from the stunning Home beach, walking distance to the bowls club, Fever Coffee, Oasis restaurant and the iconic Straddie Pub.
From the deck you can look out over the manicured grounds, pool and tennis court. This unit is ideally located and creates a wonderful space for relaxation. However, you won't need to go without your modern luxuries as this unit has high speed internet, dishwasher, washing machine, a well designed kitchen with coffee pod machine (Nespresso).
The couch is a pullout, so although it is a one bedroom it can sleep a maximum of 3 people.

I was there when the whales were swimming south, close inshore, with their calves - so whale watching was also on my agenda from the perfect vantage point, the grassed seating area above Deadmans Beach.Unit 3 was as described and as expected - appropriate for its price range, clean and tidy, supplied as described plus quality, well laundered sheets. My only comment would be that I missed having a dishwasher but that is really a minor inconvenience.I suppose you could be disappointed with Los Nidos Unit 3 if you expected expansive ocean views from the Unit but the consolation was that a hop, step and jump down the hill was the full outdoor experience - wonderful views and expansive walking tracks. I would recommend Los Nidos 3 to friends."

This large, beautifuly furnished and finished penthouse apartment is a true escape for two. It is perched high above the trees and enjoys limited water views but at night you cannot see another property and yet you are only mintues walk to all beaches including Cylinder, Deadmans and Frenchmans. It is also a short walk to shops, restaurants, the Straddie Hotel and pubic transport.

One bedroom (King Bed), Ensuite bathroom with full size bath, separate shower and dressing room. Second bathroom and toilet for visitors, including laundry with front load washing machine and dryer. Welcome to Snappers on Straddie, a boutique 5 unit complex in the heart of Point Lookout. Newly renovated, each unit feels private and has a queen bedroom, bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, and an open plan living/dining with a futon couch and air conditioning. The television is a smart TV and is connected to NBN, so just log into your favourite apps and enjoy. There is either a private deck or courtyard with your own outdoor seating and a BBQ with a lovely leafy outlook. At the front of the property there is a communal laundry with washing machine and dryer, a storage area for the surf boards and beach toys as well as an outdoor hot/cold shower for guests to rinse off after a day at the beach. Keep an eye out for the resident koala's in the tree in the front yard.
Positioned opposite a bus stop and an easy walk to all beaches and local shops, you won’t need to bring the car. Koalas in the back yard, Kangaroo's in the front. This stylish little self contained studio apartment is super comfy. Enjoy ocean breezes and the sound of waves before retiring to your fully air conditioned, one bedroom apartment, which has an ensuite bathroom and toilet. Located 350 metres from the Adder Rock bus stop, you don't even need to bring your car. But if you do, on site parking is available. Fully self contained with a brand new, super comfy Queen size bed, the studio is perfect for singles or a couple. This cute little one bedroom studio has a kitchenette, bathroom (oversized shower recess) and toilet. It has an attached undercover outdoor area with a gas BBQ.
If you don't have a car, we offer use of our 4WD Toyota Land Cruiser as part of your accommodation package. It's usually $350 per day (with the beach permit), however we can offer it to our guests "as a run around" for $100 per day, plus the fuel you use. That way you don't even need to bring a car over. You can use ours and live the life of a local. Please note, that this rate does not include the beach permit for driving on the beach. If you want to do that we have to run through the safe operation of the 4WD, the tide times and the weather forecast, just so you are safe comfortable and ready to have a good time. Driving on the beach with the beach permit included, costs our guests $200 per day, plus the fuel you use.
"Oasis" is a great restaurant, located just down the road. It's Mexican fusion, with a great range of wood fired pizza. They also do the best King Fish Ceviche I've ever tasted. Best of all they offer a courtesy bus for pick up and drop off. Their number is 0499 409 198. Send them a text to book in.
We can also let you know where to shop, which beaches are the best given the prevailing weather conditions, even where to catch a fish if that's what you feel up to doing.

Welcome to Snappers on Straddie, a boutique 5 unit complex in the heart of Point Lookout. Positioned at the front of the complex on the ground level this unit boasts 100sqm of internal space with polished concrete floors. The unit has a large open plan living/dining area with air-conditioning and there is a chef's kitchen with Island timber bench tops. The bedroom has a queen size bed and there are also two single beds in the living area. The unit opens out onto a relaxing garden area with a BBQ and outdoor seating for your use. Please note that the garden area is used by other guests for access to the other apartments.
At the front of the property there is a communal laundry with washing machine and dryer, a storage area for the surf boards and beach toys as well as an outdoor hot/cold shower for guests to rinse off after a day at the beach. Positioned close to a bus stop and an easy walk to all beaches and local shops, you won’t need to bring the car. Halfway between Cylinder Beach and the headland. Everything was within an easy walk. Agreat stay."

100m to patrolled Main Beach, wander down to the headland for an afternoon wine or beer at the surf club. The famous “Gorge Walk” is located only 100m away, so in whale season it is the perfect spot. A few minutes away you have an array of cafes and restaurants. If you can’t bring a car the nearest bus stop is less than a minute away.

The hill was tiresome and very steep to walk up to get to the bakery and lookout, but the view was worth it. Bbq just outside door of unit to cook on. Walking distance to bus stop to get to pub for dinner with courtesy bus on weekend. Walk to bakery, lookout to watch whales, turtles, dolphin and sting rays. Walk to delicious fish and chips and gelato. The prawns at the prawn shack were delicious and we had them twice for lunch. The blue room also had nice coffee."

Every year, more than 10,000 humpbacks migrate past Point Lookout. You can track them as they head both north and south from the comfort of the lounge room through floor to ceiling windows or several covered deck areas from each room. With beautiful views of the ocean, the unit is ideally located on Home Beach, with direct access through the Anchorage resort boardwalk. An easy stroll access to incredible beaches - such as Cylinder Beach (to the South), Adder Rock and Flinder's Beach (to the North) - all you'll need is sunscreen and swimmers.
Our unit features a fully functional kitchen, self-contained main (queen bed) room and a great lounge space with unhindered ocean views, opening to a wide terrace to enjoy the salty breeze. The lounge includes a sofa bed trundle (two separate single beds) that can be tucked away during the day.

Property could do with a good clean, the kind of clean that regular cleaners don’t do...edges and corners...detracts from a quality property in a great location. I did a little and left some cleaning spray for the next guests. Bedrooms are downstairs and this is good if you are seeking quiet as some of the apartments close by are rented to groups. But lack of screens on a number of south facing windows and doors made us into a mozzie feast. Take mozzie repellant. Unfortunately the provided linen is poly-cotton. I’ll be taking my own cotton sheets next time. Too hot in this weather. Kitchen and laundry are really well equipped. Lounge suite we found really uncomfortable - a nice flat seated lounge you can lie on and this place would be perfect. But the upside was we had plenty of space for yoga with a view. "

Kitchen equipment was a little sparse- it was a bit hard to cook all that we might have wanted to given modest range of cooking gear. We enjoyed using BBQ on deck. Cute and cosy one bedroom apartment in superb east side location. Only two apartments in the complex with great separation. You have your own exclusive all weather outdoor area and separate entry. There is a full kitchen, with fridge, full oven and stove, TV with streaming app loaded with acces to it via chromecast, the NBN WiFi modem is located in the dining/sitting area. The space
We have owned and manage ECLECTIC PARADISE (Down) ourselves for over 20 years. We do not use real estate agencies or other third parties to look after our property. In addition we do many of the cleans and regular spring cleans on the property to keep it in good order. We sometimes will even get to meet you if we do the clean before you arrive.
The one bedroom unit comprises an 3200mm by 5000mm open plan full kitchen dining / tv lounge area with a separate 3200mm by 3000mm bedroom with one queen bed and an open wardrobe giving you a total of 28m2 of inside living. There is modem that provides internet for the entire building located in the far bedside table. There are ceiling fans in both rooms and all windows are fully screened. There is a large 3600mmm by 6000mm outdoor private covered dining and living area in front of the unit for you to enjoy exclusively giving you an additional 21m2 of outdoor living. The unit has Nbn access and a smart tv with google chromecast for ease of use.
The bathroom is small, but functional. The shower has a rain shower head and glass screen with a pivot glass entry door and the internal shower dimensions are approximately 870mm wide by 900mm deep. The whole bathroom is approximately 2900mm long by 870mm wide with the shower at one end and the toilet at the other end. The vanity unit is in the middle of the bathroom opposite the entry door. Due to accessibility constraints the property is not really suited to hosting guests with mobility issues. Note that there is no dishwasher, washing machine or clothes dryer available for guest use at this property. The property is not air conditioned and we have priced it accordingly.

Eclectic Paradise (Down) is our preferred holiday destination, and are continually adding to and improving the facilities on offer.
We have native Australian wildlife visiting our property on a regular basis including a large variety of birds, goannas, kangaroos and wallabies, koalas, possums, bandicoots, echidnas, lizards, butterflies and more. The golden wallaby, endemic to straddie occasionally visits, look out for them.
Straddie is a pristine wilderness and there is plenty of wildlife you will have a good chance of seeing in or near our house such a kangaroos, koalas, plovers, curlews, kookaburas and many different types of honeyeaters. In the ocean, whales, dolphins, turtles, stingrays, sharks, manta rays and many different types of fish and coral. The snorkelling is good as the water is so clear. Being one of Queensland's premier holiday locations, Straddie can become busy with holiday makers during school holiday periods. There are other holiday homes located in Bambara street. However Bambara street is a small street, it has little road traffic even during busy holiday periods.
There are only two units in the complex with the other unit occupying the top level. The property is situated in a perfect central location on the ocean side of the main road in quiet leafy Bambara street. The property is within comfortable walking distance to all major beaches, headland walks, whale watching platforms, shops and eateries without having to cross any busy main roads. The coastal walking track runs within 30 metres of the property.
We supply linen and towels, they will be placed on the bed, It is up to the guest to make their own beds. We provide bath towels and bath mats but not beach towels, please bring your own beach towels.
Straddie being an island is surrounded by warm ocean waters rarely gets very cold, Winter temperatures here tend to average 21 degrees during the day and 11 degrees at night. Also summers tend to be mild with maximums rarely going above 30 degrees.
Outside:
The property is surrounded by a large garden with extensive grassy areas and flowerbeds full of local native species selected to attract bird life and butterflies.
a) There is an outdoor shower out the front of the house with a copper rainshower head.
b) There is space streetside for parking vehicles. The carport is for owner parking only.
c) There is a large garden behind the complex for you to enjoy.
d) You have a large outdoor living area, 6 seater table and lounge for you to enjoy.
e) There is a outdoor garden seating area in the back garden.
f) There is no BBQ, however there are free excellent electric BBQ facilities located in the parks at the point.
TV
Please note that due to there being no tv signal reception on the island your tv streams its signal through the nbn and you use the white chromecast remote to access it via streaming. It is intuitive and easy to use.

To access you need to do the following.
1. Open the plastic cover to reveal keypad. It pivots from a hinge at the bottom so gently hold plastic cover and pull towards you. You will now be able to access the keypad.
2. You will see a button at the bottom of the key pad with a "c" on it. Push down this button and then release it.
3. Enter the 4 digit code
4. Now push down the large button up top of keypad with an arrow on it. The lock will open.

Central Point Lookout Beach Unit
The space
Welcome to Snappers on Straddie, a boutique 5 unit complex in the heart of Point Lookout. Newly renovated, each unit feels private and has a queen bedroom, bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, and an open plan living/dining with a futon couch and air conditioning. The television is a smart TV and is connected to NBN, so just log into your favourite apps and enjoy. There is either a private deck or courtyard with your own outdoor seating and a BBQ with a lovely leafy outlook. At the front of the property there is a communal laundry with washing machine and dryer, a storage area for the surf boards and beach toys as well as an outdoor hot/cold shower for guests to rinse off after a day at the beach.
Positioned opposite a bus stop and an easy walk to all beaches and local shops, you won’t need to bring the car. There is a pedestrian gate to the right of the property that provides access to an easement which leads to Frenchman’s and Deadman’s Beach via the Whale Track. If you are wishing to park a vehicle, street parking is available. Please keep the driveway clear at all times to ensure safe and easy passage for guests in and out of the property gates.

Our spacious one Queen Bedrooms, 1.5 bathroom property has full kitchen/ laundry and streaming. The beds are comfy and the rooms well proportioned. The lounge/dining is spacious with 48” smartTV. A separate kitchen is well equipped and leads through the stacker doors to a large all weather deck with a double daybed and outdoor setting with Webber BabyQ.
A 2nd unit downstairs with separate entrance is sometimes occupied concurrently.However they are well positioned for individual privacy.
The space
We have owned and manage ECLECTIC PARADISE (Upstairs) ourselves for over 20 years. We do not use real estate agencies or other third parties to look after our property. In addition we do many of the cleans and regular spring cleans on the property to keep it in good order. We sometimes will even get to meet you if we do the clean before you arrive. This property is a very large two bedroom unit with plenty of space inside and out to enjoy. Please note that the second bedroom is locked for owner use.
There is a one bedroom unit downstairs that may be occupied during your stay.
We have been busy improving our offering during the Covid19 shutdown period including.
1. new colourbond roof extra thick insulation to help deal with the summer heat.
2. on-street parking infront of the property is available.
3. full repaint inside.
4. expanding the second upstairs bedroom, removing the two single beds and replacing them with a queen bed and installing a ceiling fan.
5. new outdoor shower and extensive landscaping of the front of the house.
6. sanding back and re oiling the upstairs outdoor dining table.

Eclectic Paradise is our preferred holiday destination, and are continually adding to and improving the facilities on offer. Guests have full use of the entire property including outdoor areas and gardens.
We have owned this property, one of the first properties to be built in Bambara street since June 1999. It has been updated sympathetically ,maintaining many of its original 1960's decore and features, with a contemporary twist. Ceiling and wall fans have been installed throughout the house for cool comfort. If you want to stay in a clean and well presented roomy authentic rustic older style 1960's beach house with many of the original features of that era in a fantastic eastern beachside location, then our property will fit the bill.
We have native Australian wildlife visiting our property on a regular basis including a large variety of birds, goannas, kangaroos and wallabies, koalas, possums, bandicoots,goannas, echidnas, lizards, butterflies and more. The golden wallaby, endemic to straddie occasionally visits, look out for them
Straddie is a pristine wilderness and there is plenty of wildlife you will have a good chance of seeing in or near our house such a kangaroos, koalas, plovers, curlews, kookaburas and many different types of honeyeaters. In the ocean, whales, dolphins, turtles, stingrays, sharks, manta rays and many different types of fish and coral. The snorkelling is good as the water is so clear. Being one of Queensland's premier holiday locations, Straddie can become busy with holiday makers during school holiday periods. There are other holiday homes located in Bambara street. However Bambara street is a small street, it has little road traffic even during busy holiday periods.
The property is a large two bedroom two level renovated original Straddie apartment situated in a perfect central location on the ocean side of the main road in quiet leafy Bambara street. The property is within comfortable walking distance to all major beaches, headland walks, whale watching platforms, shops and eateries without having to cross any busy main roads.
The property is fully screened and has one bedroom, One bathroom downstairs and a powder room upstairs, a fully stocked kitchen and a separate large all weather outdoor living area upstairs, sleeps up to two people. The property can accommodate two people in comfort with space for all without having to trip over each other. We supply linen and bath towels, they will be placed on the beds. We prove bath towels and bath mats but not beach towels, please bring your own beach towels.
Straddie being an island is surrounded by warm ocean waters rarely gets very cold, Winter temperatures here tend to average 21 degrees during the day and 11 degrees at night. Also summers tend to be mild with maximums rarely going above 30 degrees.
Upstairs - Sleeps 2
a) Large south west facing covered deck with an outside setting and a Weber q bbq.
b) Lounge room has an comfy roomy lounge, 49 inch Smart TV, samsung soundbar and nbn and ceiling fan. The inside dining table seats up to 8.
c) Kitchen has a stove/oven, microwave, and 350litre fridge/freezer. Note that there is no dishwasher in either kitchen.
d) Master bedroom with a Queen bed. Both rooms and a ceiling fan for cool comfort.
e) There is also a Powder Room with toilet behind the lounge area upstairs.
f) Please note that there is no central heating or cooling for the property, but there are ceiling fans in the lounge and master bedroom, and lots of windows for ventilation. there is an oil heater in the bedroom.

Outside:
The property is surrounded by a large garden with extensive grassy areas and flowerbeds full of local native species selected to attract bird life and butterflies.
a) There is an outdoor shower out the front of the house.
b) There is covered carparking for one vehicle, there is plenty of on street parking in front of the property. Please do not park on the garden or any grassesd areas.
e) There is an outdoor setting in the back garden.

Guest access
All parts of the house are accessible to guests, we do not live in the apartment, follow the signs to your entry, it is on the southern side of the property. There is a combination Key Lockbox located next to the front door. I will send you the combination code to this lockbox after your booking is completed.
To access you need to do the following.
1. Open the plastic cover to reveal keypad. It pivots from a hinge at the bottom so gently hold plastic cover and pull towards you. You will now be able to access the keypad.
2. You will see a button at the bottom of the key pad with a "c" on it. Push down this button and then release it.
3. Enter the 4 digit code
4. Now push down the large button up top of keypad with an arrow on it. The lock will open.
To lock it follow steps 1 to 4 again
Other things to note
The rubbish is collected first thing Monday morning, so please make sure the bins are put out kerbside on Sunday night for emptying.

FOXTEL
If the FOXTEL system is not working, try the following.
1. Turn off the power (at the wall) to both the TV and the FOXTEL unit and leave them off for at least 60 seconds.
2. Turn on the power (at the wall) to both the TV and the FOXTEL unit.
3. Turn on the TV with the TV remote first.
4. Turn on the FOXTEL remote. The FOXTEL should automatically connect through the TV. Use the controls of the FOXTEL remote to change channels and volume control.
5. If you cannot get it to work, ring FOXTEL help support on 131999 and they will reinitialise the set top box from the foxtel server (This needs to happen from time to time), you will have authority to request technical help on this service.
FOXTEL technical Support will ask you for the following questions:-
a. Site Address which is 21 Bambara Street Point Lookout.
b. Account Holder which is Stuart Albrecht
c. Account Number which is (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN).
BBQ Gas
If the gas cylinder is empty, take the empty gas cylinder to Bob Foodland for a replacement full cylinder. Keep the receipt and email a copy of it to me and I will reimburse you. We try to ensure the bottles won't be empty.
