The apartment is completely private. The only thing that's shared is the foyer/corridor with two entrance doors into apartments: mine (I live upstairs) and yours (first floor). The bedroom has two windows, it is on the street level. The dining area, kitchen and bathroom are 7 steps down. We don't have a railing! There is a walk-in closet in the bedroom with it's separate lighting, another is in the dining/kitchen area) The furniture is from IKEA.

The space is close to the ferry (7 minute walk to a 15 or so minute bus ride - 30 minutes if you walk) and Verrazano bridge, which take you to manhattan and brooklyn respectively! The yard has a nice tall Ginko tree whose leaves turn a beautiful golden yellow in Autumn. The space is decorated with toys and Knick knacks from my childhood, creating a sense of 90s nostalgia. This is one of two Airbnb spaces in the building. Enjoy!

Staten Island does not have the myriads of shops and walkable destinations that Manhattan has - please keep that in your expectations and you may be pleasantly surprised!

Our place is around the corner from Richmond University Hospital (RUMC) and is a great location for medical students and residents. The Forest Avenue strip includes restaurants, bakeries, Starbucks, CVS, Keyfood and several banks all just a quick 10 min walk away. Our place is private, quiet and clean, with a luxury full size bed, full bath, Verizon Fios TV and wifi, and work station. We welcome single male guests.

If you travel to visit a family or to see our awesome city, to study here or on business - our apartment would be an oasis of peace and quiet, of comfort and rest. Newly renovated, totally private multi-leveled apartment amidst 4 parks, close to the beach, with fully equipped kitchen is in the safe residential neighborhood with small diners, bagel shops, new-American cuisine restaurants and many types of public transportation: regular and express buses and a ferry (which is free!!!).

The space
We just finished a complete renovation of the apartment: we installed a new kitchen, ceiling lights, floors, we've got a beautiful wall paper and changed the whole color scheme - we are artists after all. I love how it turned out.
It's 7 min. by car to Brooklyn and 40 min. to Manhattan; the public transportation is within walking distance : 20min. to Brooklyn and 50 min. to Manhattan by bus. The Ferry is FREE and very romantic, all of the movies about NYC where filmed from the Staten Island Ferry! And the Green Lady (Statue of Liberty) is passed by every time you go to and back from Manhattan.
The apartment is on a quiet street and it's 10 min. walking distance to the ocean. It's in the safe residential neighborhood.
The apartment is completely private. The only thing that's shared is the foyer/corridor with two entrance doors into apartments: mine (I live upstairs) and yours (first floor). The bedroom has two windows, it is on the street level. The dining area, kitchen and bathroom are 7 steps down. We don't have a railing! There is a walk-in closet in the bedroom with it's separate lighting, another is in the dining/kitchen area) The furniture is from IKEA.
There are two museums (Garribaldi-Meucci museum and Alice Austen house - very picturesque and on the ocean shore), Fort Wadsworth - an old fort right at the foot of Verrazano bridge turned into a park with the BEST view of Brooklyn, Manhattan and New Jersey and South Beach with boardwalk, beach area and restaurants.
