Nicely decorated room with great tea and coffee and snack facilities. Large TV. Really friendly and helpful staff and locals. I was asked what time I would like breakfast and I said not to worry as I needed to be away early. The owner asked me if I would like an evening meal off the menu in lieu of breakfast. I have never known this in all my years of staying in hotels. I have had continentals left out for me or packed lunches made up but never this. I was gobsmacked and more than happy to take him up on this offer. Great stuff."

Air BnB Covid 19 Requirements

During the Pandemic we are engaging in extra cleaning and disinfection to keep our guests and ourselves as safe as we can. We are doing extra cleans and disinfects on all commonly touched surfaces including door handles, light switches, railings etc. and have instigated some extra safeguards as advised by AirBnB including – all keys are cleaned with bleach and rinsed with water prior to arrival of new guests, and all rooms are left vacant for 24 hours after they were last occupied before they are cleaned and then are left for another 24 hours after cleaning before new guests arrive. This is to minimise the risk of onward transmission. However, this does mean that we are not able to routinely clean your room during your stay.

In addition, we have to insist that guests do their bit to help us including the following rules must be followed:
• all shared areas are closed and must not be used (other than corridors and stairs between the front door and your room for the purpose of entry or exit). As a consequence, we now serve Breakfast in guests rooms
• social distancing rules should be followed at all times in corridors and on the stairs, including going straight to your room on arrival and remaining there until going out.
• you must not enter each other’s rooms under any circumstances.
• On arrival thoroughly sanitise your hands before entering the house and likewise before leaving your room.
• Please wear a face mask when entering or leaving between the front door and your room.

We realise that this is substantially different to what is normally asked of you, but in these exceptional circumstances we request your full co-operation as while Shirley and I are not in the most at risk category, we are both in our mid-sixties and still looking forward to a long and rewarding life including seeing our baby grand-daughter grow up a lot more.
