The property for is set in our 2,000 m2 olive grove located in the lush and peaceful residential suburb of “Iraklis” (Hercules) 1.5 km off the town centre and 800 m from the sea. The cottage has its own private entrance, kitchen and WC and is 20 meters away from "Atelie in the Olive Grove",
The space
The cottage is a studio (bedroom, kitchenette, WC) located on a small hill overlooking the grove and the gardens, perfect for a couple or aspiring artists (an easel and painting/drawing equipment can be provided upon request). Spotting the sunrise over the sea from the balcony is simply magic.
The grove belonged to my mother’s family for centuries and we still collect olives every November to produce olive oil for our own consumption. Our guests are welcome to savour fruit (figs, pomegranates, almonds), vegetables (cabbage, olives) and pick flowers from our garden.

The property is easily accessible by car or a bus that stops across the street from the olive grove’s main entrance, however, the area is great for walking and cycling to and from the town centre (15 min) and the beach (8 min).

Maria was born and raised on the island and leaves in Kos town. Her main occupation, in addition to looking after her lovely family, is to manage their apartment complexes and hotel for many years. In her free time, Maria enjoys swimming, hiking, cooking for family and friends and her big passion is painting portraits and landscapes of our beautiful countryside. Maria is always happy to provide advice on how to discover the hidden gems of Kos. Our rooms are located in the seaside village of Marmari. The location is easily accessible from both the airport and the port, just a 15-minute drive from each. The area offers something for every taste. Directly across from the property you'll find a market, and within walking distance there are several taverns, cafés, and nightlife spots.
The beach is about one kilometer away. There, you can choose between the organized part with sunbeds and beach bars or explore its quieter, untouched side. Marmari Beach is also ideal for kitesurfing, windsurfing, and other water sports, as part of the shoreline is safely designated for these activities. You can even enjoy a sunset ride on trained horses along the sand.
The area is perfect for cycling, thanks to a dedicated bike path. Not far from Marmari, on the road toward Tigaki, you'll find the salt flats, a protected Natura 2000 zone known for its beautiful landscape and rich biodiversity, including flocks of pink flamingos.
From the nearby port of Mastichari, you can take day trips to nearby islands such as Kalymnos, Pserimos, Leros, and Patmos.
Just 3.5 km away lies the charming village of Pyli, known for its archaeological interest, traditional stone houses, and quaint cafés clustered around the Roman Spring, which still provides cool, drinkable water.
Our rooms are located in the seaside Marmari. The access from the airport and from the port is easy, as the location is a quarter drive from both. The settlement covers even the most demanding tastes. Opposite the rooms there is a market and nearby several taverns, cafes and nightclubs.
The distance to the sea is about a kilometer. There you can choose either the organized part of the beach or explore its quiet side. The beach of Marmari gives you the opportunity to do kitesurfing, windsurfing and other water sports, as a part of it is safely booked for this purpose. You can also take a ride with trained horses at the wonderful sunset.
The place is ideal for bike rides, as there is a bike path. A little further, towards the road to Tigaki, are the salt flats, which, beyond the beauty that the landscape offers, is a protected Natura area, which is home to an abundance of flora and fauna, such as the pink flamingo.
There is the possibility to organize day trips to the nearby islands (Kalymnos, Pserimos, Leros, Patmos, etc.) from the port of Mastichari, also located near Marmari.
