The Studio is a self-contained space at the front of our house. It is separated from the main house by a double garage and has its own entrance, which is secure and fenced. Parking is on the street directly in front of the property.
Guest access
The Studio is accessed via the left of the two pedestrian gates at the front/centre of the property. The key will be placed in the mailbox prior to your arrival.
Other things to note
We welcome pets to the Studio. However, please be aware the space is not particularly well suited for outside pets as the enclosed outdoor space is about the size of a small apartment balcony. There is an off-leash dog park at the end of the street, approximately three minutes walk away.

*Byron/20 min, Airport/15 min, Lake/7 min, Town/6 min, Surf Beach/3 min* (*DRIVETIME*)
The property has a rustic-rural vibe and is located on the southern edge of Lennox Head. It’s a pleasant alternative to central suburbia with ample bird life and a flurry of much-loved pets. It has an elevated, leafy outlook and you’ll love the sense of external space surrounding you. There are beautiful beaches and headland walks to explore nearby.
It is not a farm and there can some road noise in the day.
The space
You’ll be staying in a groovy self-contained cabin with views into the tree tops and across shady patches of grass. The space feels cosy, unique and private and captures the gentle sea-breezes.
There's one ample-sized bedroom with a super comfortable pillow-topped queen-sized bed. Adjacent to this is a simple and modern bathroom. For one additional guest comfort has not been overlooked - there is a fold-out sofa bed in the lounge room with a delicious memory-foam topper.
The functional kitchenette has essential appliances provided and there are two outdoor nooks to leisurely take in your surroundings.
Free undercover parking is available and your entrance is completely separate and private.
Guest access
You will have exclusive access to one cabin and the yard immediately surrounding it, but not the whole 1.5 acres. You can also use the communal fire pit (in season) and BBQ area.
You will have your own private entry to your cabin with the key being accessed from a lockbox. The code for the lockbox will be sent to you prior to your arrival.
Other things to note
Please note:
1. The base price is for two people using the queen bed in the bedroom. If the sofa bed is required when booking for two people then an additional $15 laundry fee will be charged.
2. Firewood (in season) - enough wood for your first fire in the brazier is provided at check-in. If you would like more, it can be purchased from us for $10/boxful. Larger amounts of wood can also be purchased for the big fire pit located across from your cabin.
3. If you would like to bring a pet please discuss this with us first. We will consider them on a case by case basis. Small, well behaved and house-trained pets are welcome, but they must be kept under control at all times when on the property. The key factors for us are the safety and well-being of our own pets and maintaining the condition of the property and it’s contents. An additional $15 cleaning fee will apply.
4. There are three Border Collies, three cats and four chickens on the property that you may see at some stage. The dogs are very friendly but excitable and sometimes push the boundaries of social etiquette when they occasionally come to the cabin to say "hello". We are very mindful that not everyone likes animals, so please consider this before booking the cabin or speak to us about any concerns that you may have.
5. The cabin is on Starlink satellite WiFi shared with the other buildings on the property. It is fast and efficient and would suit a work-from-home scenario.
6. The cabin is separate from, but adjacent to, a second cabin and a house - both of which are permanently occupied by friendly, quiet locals and ourselves. Although your space, yard and outlook is private, there are shared zones such as the BBQ and fire pit area. To ensure harmony between guests and locals this is definitely not a suitable property for loud parties. Consideration for others must be given.
7. Please be aware that the property is not toddler-proof. Vigilance is required.
8. The cabin would not be comfortable for more than three adults.

BROKEN HEAD NATURE CABINS - BYRON’S BEST KEPT SECRET! 🌿✨
Park yourself on 15 acres of Aussie paradise, think nature-meets luxury escape! Nestled between Byron Bay & Lennox Head, our park-like grounds are home to 5 stunning, open-plan cabins. Fancy enough for Insta, yet chill enough for your flip-flops.
We're 9 mins to Byron’s hustle, 2 mins to Lennox’s waves & 19 to Ballina airport. Close enough to everything so you don't miss your morning coffee run! Come see why our guests keep coming back.
The space
WELCOME TO YOUR BROKEN HEAD NATURE CABIN! 🌿🏡
Looking for a slice of peace, privacy & a touch of nature-inspired luxury? You’ve found the right place! Your 49m² open-plan studio cabin is designed with earthy tones, that’ll make you feel like you’ve hugged a tree without getting sap on your shirt. 4 cabins are connected to the main house via timber walkways, yet remain totally private.
WHAT’S IN YOUR CABIN?
Let’s get down to the nitty-gritty:
• Beds that scream luxury - A king-size bed & a single bed with mattresses so comfy, you’ll wake up thinking you’re in a 5-star hotel (without the room service prices).
• A nature-inspired colour palette. Because who wouldn’t want their cabin to match the great outdoors?
• Recently renovated everything. Yep, we’ve spared no expense to make sure your stay is as schmick as possible.
COOKING UP A STORM? TOO EASY.
Your self-contained cabin has:
• A fully stocked kitchenette – with a fridge, microwave & a portable cooking grill so you can prepare meals in the cabins without flatlining your wallet at the local restaurants.
• A full-sized outdoor BBQ - for your snags & prawns (or veggie patties if that’s your jam).
• Fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster & enough utensils to whip up anything from toasties to a basic family meal.
• Morning essentials: We haven't forgotten a coffee machine to kickstart your day (because no one can be zen without caffeine) with fresh milk, cereals, biscuits, jams & teas in your room. If that’s not enough to make mornings tolerable, we don’t know what is.
Oh, and did we mention the air-con, heating & ceiling fans? Whether it’s scorching or chilly, you’ll be as comfy as a kangaroo in the shade.
RELAX IN STYLE:
You’ve got:
• A lounge room with a smart TV (yes, Netflix is ready for your binge sessions).
• A dining table, because eating on the floor is so last century.
• A modern bathroom with hotel-quality towels so soft you’ll want to take them home. (But please don’t. We’ll notice.)
• Swimming pool towels - we've just freed up half of the room in your luggage case, no need to bring those.
• Your own private deck – because who doesn’t love to soak up the sun.
COMMUNAL FACILITIES FOR EXTRA FUN:
Feeling social? Head over to our communal area where you can:
• Watch your favorite movies under the stars in our outdoor TV area (because who doesn’t love a bit of Netflix al fresco?).
• Challenge your mates to ping pong or table tennis (loser does the dishes!).
• Take a dip in our resort-style pool, complete with shade umbrellas and designer sun lounges for maximum relaxation.
• Raid the board games stash for some friendly competition.
• Fire up the massive BBQ in our outdoor kitchen and show everyone your sausage-sizzling skills in the entertaining area.
PRIVACY? WE’VE GOT YOU COVERED.
Each cabin has its own separate entrance and will be open for your arrival. No awkward small talk with strangers here, although we reckon we have the friendliest hosts in the whole of Byron! Strategic planting ensures you can enjoy your morning coffee without making eye contact with anyone, if that’s your vibe.
HOUSE RULES 🌿🏡
We’re stoked to have you consider us, and to make sure everyone has a ripper time, we’ve put together some friendly house rules which we think are important to communicate to you, right up front, before you book:
PARENTS, KEEP AN EYE ON THE RUGRATS 👶👀
Our property is as Aussie as it gets, complete with natural creeks, dams & waterways for that picture-perfect rainforest sort of vibe. While thousands of families have stayed here without a hitch, these water features aren’t fenced - so keep an eye on your little adventurers.
Think of it this way: You’re their lifeguard, safety patrol & wildlife spotter all rolled into one! If you’re not up for the challenge, we totally get it & reckon another property might suit you better. By booking here, you’re agreeing to this responsibility—and hey, think of it as a great way to stay fit, running after the kiddos!
PARTY ANIMALS, LEAVE THE RAVE FOR ANOTHER CAVE 🐨🎉
This is a chill zone, not a rave cave. If you’re here for peace, quiet & the sounds of nature (or Netflix with wine), you’re in the right place. Excessive noise or wild parties will put a damper on everyone’s holiday vibe, so let’s keep it mellow.
And sorry, only registered guests are allowed on the property - no surprise extras or gate-crashers, please.
FOR THE PET-LOVING CREW 🐾
We love your fur babies as much as you do, but let’s keep things above board:
Cabins 1, 4 & 5 are the only pet-friendly ones—no sneaky smuggling Fido into the others, alright?
In the cabins, our lounges & beds are off-limits for your four-legged mates (we’ve got luxury linens that don’t mix well with paw prints). If the fur flies, there’s a $75 cleaning fee.
Pets in our resort pool? Nope. Our designer sun loungers are for human bums only & our pool is strictly for non-furry swimmers. Break this rule, and you may not love the $150 pool cleaning fee.
Also, no pets are to be left alone in the cabin—ever. It’s just not on, for them or for us. And sadly, we’ve got to say no to cats altogether. They’re top-notch escape artists, and this property just isn’t suited to their mysterious ways.
NATURE LOVERS, MEET THE LOCALS 🐨🐍
You’ll be on 15 glorious acres of Aussie rainforest, so don’t be surprised if you bump into some of the locals: koalas, birds, snakes, and the odd cane toad might pop by to say g’day. They’re mostly chill, but as with all wildlife, it’s best to admire them from afar and let them do their thing, especially if you’re pets are nearby.
BYRON’S BEST KEPT SECRET
Thanks for playing by these rules - it keeps the vibes happy for everyone! Thousands of guests have rated us a full five stars, and many reckon we’re Byron’s best-kept secret. In fact, most of our guests fall in love and come back time and time again. But, we'll let you decide that for yourself.
Now, go on, make that booking, soak up the serenity, and enjoy this little slice of Aussie paradise! 🍻✨

YOUR DOMAIN (EXCEPT THE LAUNDRY):
You’re welcome to roam, relax & enjoy every inch of the property—well, almost every inch. Your cabin is your private oasis, but you’ve also got full run of the communal areas. Stroll the beautiful grounds, whip up a feast in the outdoor kitchen, challenge someone to a fierce game of ping pong or table tennis, and settle in for movie night under the stars at the outdoor TV area.
Need to cool off? The resort pool is calling, complete with shade umbrellas and designer sun lounges that might just make you feel like a VIP.
But sorry, not sorry, the laundry is off-limits. It’s where our hardworking washers and dryers are flat out keeping the linens and towels fresh for you and all our guests. Trust us, there’s nothing glamorous about hanging out with a pile of sheets. Stick to the fun stuff!
Other things to note
TECH LOVERS, A LITTLE HEADS-UP 📡📴
Our mobile & internet coverage can be a bit like spotting a koala—mostly reliable, but occasionally elusive. We’ve done our best with a telco tower upgrade in Ballina and maxed out our internet plans to give you the best shot at streaming cat videos.
That said, if you’re a full-on Wi-Fi warrior who needs warp-speed uploads and downloads 24/7, this might not be your digital paradise. Most guests find it totally fine, but every now and then, the signal might take a little nap, especially if the local towers are feeling a bit overloaded. Log off & log on to life, eh?
