A quiet comfortable self-contained cottage. It has a reverse cycle air-conditioner, super comfortable king size hardwood bed and a good size timber verandah nestled under a big mango tree looking north to the Dorrigo range across the Bellingen Valley & mountain views.

I am an artist, a painter/potter I have a studio next to our home. I have a delightful 9 year old daughter called Minh-Chau.

LOCATION
Potters Cottage is located at 8 Short Street Lane, Bellingen. It is a quiet, comfortable and fully equipped space with a good size verandah under a large old mango tree looking north past the studio to the Dorrigo ranges and Bellingen Valley. The cottage is just a minute's walk to town centre where you will find cafes, restaurants and boutique shopping. There is also a great Alternative Book shop. The property fronts the river park which is just a five minute walk to the Bellinger River. The park has picnic areas, swimming spots and more gorgeous views.

The cottage is a 20 minute drive to the Dorrigo World Heritage National Park Rainforest and only a 15 minute drive to the spectacular Never Never River in the Promised Land and is also close to Darkwood where the Bellinger flows. Urunga is a 15 minute drive where you will find beautiful quiet beaches and a boardwalk at the mouth of the Kalang and Bellinger rivers.

Bellingen is about 30 minutes drive south of Coffs Harbour airport, and about a 10 minute drive off the Pacific Highway along Waterfall Way.

ABOUT BELLINGEN
Bellingen is an interesting town, famous for its many musical festivals and cultural-arts events.

The monthly community market is also a highlight and is held on the third Saturday of each month The growers market is held every Saturday at the showground whilst the farmers market takes place each Wednesday on the south side of town.

PLEASE NOTE: we are not in control of the facilities at the resort - your booking is for the apartment and the resort facilities are an added bonus. At times maintenance can be done on items that may see some facilities closed during your stay - this is part of the regular upkeep of the resort and is standard practice. If there is an issue with resort facilities we welcome you to direct your questions / concerns direct to the resort reception.

- "Extra touches provided by the host. Welcome snack package, bath salts and toiletries were lovely." - "A nice enough unit. I didn't expect that it would be attached to other units but it was not a bother. Was nice to get a basket of snacks on arrival. The resort and beach is lovely and is what would bring me back to Aanuka Resort. There is a but though.... The cleaning in this unit was not a good standard. More attention to detail would be all it takes. For example, there is a sign requesting you don't use the white towels to remove your makeup. Fair enough! They provide a pack of towelette wipes for makeup removal which is a nice touch. However the underneath of the opening tab for the wipes was filthy with mould and the top wipe had mould growing on it. Yuk! There was beard trimmings on the basin tapware that hadn't been wiped off. The wall tiles near the ceiling in the bathroom have mould in the grout from the condensation. There were lipstick marks on one of the coffee mugs. There was dust on the bedside table lamps. I could go on but all easy things to fix! Don't imagine yourself being able to see that stars while you chill in the spa - the glass ceiling was not clean enough and if the neighbouring units have lights on in their bathroom they are too bright to see anything other the overhanging palm trees. It is nice though, if you can overlook these things. I did let the property manager know about the cleanliness (with photos) before posting this review as they requested, but no response. "

The space
Shaded by stately paper barks, 7th Heaven, is aptly named. It sleeps four with one queen, a single and a trundle. It has a fully equipped kitchen, TV and complimentary WIFI. French doors open to a large covered deck, the reserve and the sound of the ocean. This cabin has a unique indoor/outdoor combined bathroom area. You can choose to shower or bath outside in total privacy with a view to the sky, the stars and the trees OR you can shower inside. The toilet and sink are indoors. A great BBQ, outdoor seating and a wood fireplace make for relaxing, outdoor gatherings. Only a few meters along the adjoining boardwalk is your private bathhouse with it’s steaming hot showers, especially wonderful under the stars at night. Finish your day with a glass of wine or a hot chocolate by the fire then be lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves. This cabin is truly Heavenly.

Plantation offers a more luxurious and spacious holiday experience. This cabin sleeps up to 6 comfortably with one queen bed, two single bunks and a double sofa bed. Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen with 4 burner gas stove, an indoor 3 piece bathroom, an outdoor hot shower, large flat screen TV, DVD player, WIFI, washer and dryer, reverse cycle air conditioning, fans and your choice of 2 private decks with lush garden surrounds. Enjoy a BBQ in the outdoor “dining” room with its rustic table setting, wood fireplace and access to an organic herb and veggie garden. Check the surf in the mornings and go to sleep with the sound of it at night. Paradise!

Lovely, light and quiet self-contained garden studio with private bathroom and kitchenette. The kitchenette has a fridge, kettle, toaster and hotplate and essential cooking implements. The set up will allow preparation of simple meals; for more gourmet experiences we recommend the many cafés and restaurants in Bellingen! Wooden floors, comfortable queen size bed, small verandah. Situated on a leafy hilltop in North Bellingen, 10 minutes walk from the river and 15 from the centre of town.

Other things to note
This is a recent building project, so while the space is very comfortable and welcoming, we are still working on a few finishing touches.
Access to the studio is a little rustic.. Some parts of the garden still have a bit of a building-site feel to them, so we have priced the accommodation accordingly.
The studio is situated within the garden of the property. We live in the main house and a tenant lives in a garden flat under our house. The way things are set up ensures each accommodation enjoys privacy.
There is a short walk and steps between where you’ll park your car and your accommodation (about 30 metres).

We are on a 5 acre hobby farm, feel free to wander the grounds (our farm is on the same side of the road as the bunkhouse cabin, the other side of the road is a neighbouring farm and shouldn't be accessed) and meet all our furry animals including cows, Australian miniature goats, pygmy goats and chickens.
You’re welcome to greet the goats & cows, all our animals are friendly (sometimes TOO friendly!) but please always let us know before you let yourself into a paddock. You’re welcome to feed the animals, we’ll supply the food. Farm rules apply – if you open a gate, you need to close it behind you. Please don't enter our paddocks without us accompanying you.

🐐 We have dogs and cats in the main house that have access to the outdoor BBQ area adjacent to pool so furry encounters are to be expected.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Beautiful, secluded wooden cabin with leafy outlook. The cabin is a roomy 4 x 5 meter, with a large 5 x 3 verandah looking due West. Completely private outlook, plenty of bird and wildlife to observe. With its own driveway and cleverly positioned, the cabin feels like a million miles away, while being conveniently located only 4 minute drive from town, and close to the main residence in case of any needs or emergencies.

The space
On a 52 acre property, and with an 800 meter driveway, you are right in the middle of the bush; you are so far away from the road you will feel completely relaxed. The bathroom is located off the verandah, and has a composting toilet, shower and basin. The verandah also has an outdoor bath.
The windows, French doors and verandah face the bush and the whole area is completely private and for your exclusive use.

The space
Bellingen Mountain View Studio is a superior newly- built and furnished (September 2023) open-planned, completely private detached dwelling.

It is located on the boundary to Bellingen township, so is conveniently close (walk/drive) to all our vibrant town has to offer, but, because it sits on a 2 acre private bush rural property, it luxuriates in the feel of " a thousand miles away".

With an extra-long hotel-quality comfortable king-sized bed and pillows, and with large picture frame opening windows, the studio is filled with natural light, and captures the native garden, mountain and bush views from multiple angles.
Please note, for 2 guests convenience, if preferred , the king-sized bed can be separated into 2 extra long super king single beds ( please allow notice when booking to arrange )

The open lounge area looks through glass doors for an uninterrupted mountain view and features a slow combustion fire for cozy cooler nights.

The spacious covered deck looks over the beautiful view of the Promised Land mountain range, ever changing with colours and light.

It has a fully-equipped kitchen with European appliances, full sized refrigerator/freezer and microwave.

A modern laundry with combined washing machine/tumble dryer and a bathroom with ' a shower with a mountain view ' completes this delightful studio.

A beautiful native garden also surrounds the studio with a fire pit to enjoy a starry nights and fireflies.

A new outdoor cast iron bath is set for you really to enjoy the mountain views, sunsets and night sky while you luxuriate in warm water - feel free to add champagne and bath bubbles!

Covered parking is also very close to the studio.

Please note that over summer holidays, from 15/12/23 - 28/1/202024, we request minimum of 3 night stays be requested.

Tiny Nancy sleeps up to four with a queen bed in the window and a double bed in the loft. There is also a reverse-cycle air-conditioner and heating unit.
