Just prior to lockdown due to Covid, we had an unexpected visit from cousins across the ditch - NZ, we also had our elderly parents in need of a sea change and some time out . So we looked for a quality place to stay, three bedrooms, space to move , central location - not too much walking etc . Not only was this first Avenue property perfect but it was also sheer luxury . It is so well looked after and so well set up ,the bedrooms spacious and deluxe, the kitchen has everything you require , even though there are restaurants and cafés right at your doorstep. Sawtell is a picture perfect little town - amazing for walks and the beach. Our host ,generously left delicious nibbles and milk etc for our arrival , So lovely, and then also rang and checked if we were comfortable and everything met our needs , a very kind gesture. The lift in the building , for our elderly parents was modern , smooth and a blessing . To this day , they still talk of the wonderful time they had. Little did we know how blessed we were to stay in a top little town , in beautiful accommodation and that the memories of our great little trip with our extended family would assist us throughout the Pandemic lock down period . We cannot recommend , this accommodation enough its the best and John is a delightful caring host . We will definitely be back !! "

Just a few minutes walk is Moonee Beach reserve and estuary with endless water activities to be enjoyed. On high tide you can kayak/canoe or paddle board up the estuary to either fish or explore the wonders of the waterway. Swimming against the tide in the estuary is also a popular form of exercise for many locals. As is an early morning surf at the beach. Alternatively you could go for a walk to the headland in search of whales and dolphins or further beyond along the beautiful beaches to the north and south. This is part of the great Solitary Island Coastal Walk from Sawtell to Arrawarra (60km).There are BBQ’s and a picnic area right on the estuary for you to take full advantage of.
Moonee Beach shopping centre is just 5 minute walk with all the amenities you would need, including 3 dining options. In the same complex is a 24/7 gym and indoor swimming pool. Across the car park is the Moonee tavern and bottle shop.

Moonee Habitat BnB is located just off the A1 highway 7 minutes north of Coffs Harbour. Buses run daily to Coffs Harbour and Woolgoolga, there is also a local taxi service. Pick up from the airport can be arranged.
If you're a cyclist there are cycle lanes both on the highway and local roads to the north and south of Moonee Beach. As well as many great rides into the hinterland on the western side of the highway.

It consists of a large bedroom with a very comfortable king size bed (1000 count cotton sheets) a combined kitchen/ living room, with a double size sofa bed and a fresh and bright bathroom. During the months of May thru to November you will see whales swimming past especially if you walk up to Woolgoolga Headland. Our apartment is located and easy 20 minute highway drive south to Coffs Harbour and 30 minutes drive north to Grafton. There are some beautiful drives surrounding our area, it's a lovely drive up to Dorrigo or out to Nana Glenn (where you might spot Russell Crowe who has a house there). I live downstairs on the same level as the guests. We share bathroom, and kitchenette. When you visit I tend to stay in my own bedroom. However I do interact with my guests if they want to chat and have a cup of tea.

The space
Simple, safe & clean.
Budget-friendly accommodation for the solo traveller. King single bed, smart TV/Netflix, kitchenette and wardrobe are all in the same space with the share guest bathroom a short walk to the backyard. The outdoor undercover lounge area is a lovely spot for a morning coffee.
Bello Retro is situated alongside the main home, under a double carport. There are two other small airbnbs in close proximity to Bello Retro on the property.
PLEASE NOTE: Our home is situated on a busy town T-intersection. Expect passing cars, trucks and motorbikes 24/7!
No! It's not really 24/7! 😁
It can also be really quiet too. Just making sure you're aware there is a lot of passing traffic (cars, farm trucks etc). You'll hear the neighbourhood dogs barking in the distance. There's also the new neighbours (2 adults/5 kids) that play close to our back fence. 😥
The local council garbage truck will arrive (early!) every thursday morning 😒. BUT! You will also hear the kookaburras laughing at dawn.. and cows moo-ing in the distance. All the sounds you hear in a small country town.
Fresh drinking water supplied. The kitchen tap has cold water only with refillable container under the sink. Use the kettle to boil water for tea/coffee/washing up.
The king single bed has fresh sheets & doona. There's also a smart TV/Netflix, small fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle & toaster. No oven/stove. Wardrobe for clothes and simple cutlery and crockery for one. Small washing machine included. No air con.
Bello Retro boasts a fresh fluffy bathrobe for the short walk to the backyard share guest bathroom.

If you're planning a trip to Bello to attend a wedding or festival, visit relo's or just passing through, Bello Retro is perfect for you! Close to town.. only a 2-3min drive or an easy 12-15min walk (over the river bridge) to the main street which has many coffee shops, boutiques & fabulous restaurants.
Please note: You'll need to pass through a garden gate to access the share guest bathroom. PLEASE SHUT THIS GATE AT ALL TIMES. We have a 6yo male rescue staffy and 4yo Frenchie in our fenced yard. They're friendly, and will probably come say hello to you. Thank you 🙂

The studio is modern (2023) and open plan . It is located under our 2 story home. It's bright and cozy and has everything you need for a short stay in Coffs Harbour. We are a family of 5 with our minature dashund, Luna.

The space
The studio is open plan with a small kitchenette equipped with microwave, expresso machine, kettle and toaster. The ensuite bathroom is modern and spacious.

Guest access
Access is by a path down the western side of our house. The studio is screened off and the small area is completely for guests. However, it is not totally private due the proximity to our upper deck and living area (see pictures).

Other things to note
We named the studio Kahon in jest. We have done our best to insulate the floor above the studio. However, with timber floors there is still some noise that travels. Occasionally our kids stomp around the house and the noise can carry. We do our best to be mindful of guests. However, if you are sensitive to noise, Kahon Studio may not be for you.

Tucked away below a charming country cottage, you will be a 20 minute (quite hilly) walk into town across the majestic Bellinger River. For those wishing to venture further afield, the ancient rainforests of the Dorrigo plateau, or endless sweeping beaches of the Mid-North coast, are only an hour away.

The space
Wake up to the songs of laughing kookaburras and catch a glimpse of the delicate wrens that frequently flit around my garden. Meander into town across Lavender's Bridge for coffee and a delicious breakfast at one of the many vibrant cafes along the main street. The Hideaway is in beautiful Bellingen, a unique and eclectic town known for its art scene, eateries, festivals and markets. The accomodation consists of one large comfortable bedroom, with an adjoining kitchenette with basic cooking facilities and a small ensuite bathroom. The Hideaway is located below the cottage and has its own separate entry and parking at the door. When you arrive home from a busy day exploring the region, relax on the comfortable queen bed and watch some television. We respect your privacy but will be available if you have any concerns.
For those who enjoy the outdoors, Bellingen is the ideal home base from which to plan your adventures. From fishing and kayaking in the river, or a round of golf at the local club, you don't have to go far to find things to do. A short drive south brings you to the local swimming spots of Sawtell and Urunga. Head north to the popular tourist town of Coffs Harbour to enjoy fish and chips at the jetty, a swim or perhaps a visit to the 'Big Banana.' Bushwalkers can follow the scenic Waterfall Way up to the Dorrigo Plateau. Here you will find ancient, old growth, World Heritage listed rainforests. Clearly marked tracks will lead you past the 'Skywalk' and onto cascading waterfalls and potential sightings of local wildlife. For those doing the long journey from Sydney to Brisbane, the Hideaway is the ideal stopover to rest and recharge. We love all that this beautiful region has to offer and hope that you will too.

Guests can access the flat and parking area. Pet owners may like to take their pup into the garden opposite, for a sniff and explore before settling into the room.

One small house-trained dog is welcome and may be kept inside the flat with you. However, please take your dog with you when going out. Dogs are not to be left inside alone. Ensure that you pick up after your dog and let me know of any 'accidents.' Please note that you if you are bringing your dog, this information must be added in the section about guests. This will incur an additional cleaning fee to ensure that future guests with allergies to pet fur/dander are comfortable.

There are many spot that you can visit while you stay. National parks and bush walks, beaches, he big banana, treetop adventure, forest sky pier, marina and jetty, mutton bird island, wine tasting, breweries, local markets etc.

The space
You can relax your body and mind in the yoga/meditation room, a glass of wine on the deck with natural birds sing and immerse yourself in the hot bath with garden view. Hope you will enjoy this calm space to heal, nourish and rebalance yourself.

Northside Studio Apartment is a private, clean and comfortable space, a short 10 minute walk from Bellingen. The fully self contained apartment has fast reliable NBN Wifi: it is spacious, climate controlled with AC, light filled, cool, and quiet, with a garden courtyard area. It has a queen sized bed and a fully equipped kitchenette and ensuite. It suits couples, singles, business people and travellers. I also have a small trundle bed which can be used for a young child accompanying you.

The space
The Studio Apartment is located under the main house and has its own private entry through French doors off the driveway. There is an undercover leafy outdoor courtyard area for your private use right outside with tables and chairs for alfresco dining.

There is a comfortable queen sized bed with a number of pillow options, a relaxing lounge area with TV/DVD, comfy chairs and a dining setting for two, a separate bathroom with shower and toilet, and a well equipped kitchenette with an induction cooker, microwave oven, electric frypan, bar fridge, electric kettle and toaster, sink, crockery, cutlery and all necessary cookware. There is also a trundle bed suitable for a young child. Tea and coffee and milk is provided but breakfast is generally not provided.

High speed WiFi is available. There is reverse cycle air conditioning for heating in the cooler months and cooling in summer as well as a ceiling fan. The Apartment is always cool in summer and is fully carpeted or tiled and the two French doors are curtained.

Guest access
The Studio Apartment and outside courtyard are for your private use. There is a laundry with washing machine and ironing board which is shared with the main house.

Driveway access is right outside for offloading, but your vehicle should be parked at the bottom of the drive in the level parking area or in the street where parking is unrestricted.

It is a 5 minute drive or 10-15 minute walk to Bellingen with its vibrant café and music culture. The Bellinger River is quite close and offers swimming or kayaking opportunities. Further from the village there are beautiful National Parks at Dorrigo, swimming holes at the Promised Land and beaches at Urunga and Coffs Harbour.

There are good transport links by train at Urunga and Coffs Harbour, and by air at Coffs Harbour.

Other things to note
The property is on a hillside which gives it good views and access to summer breezes. The driveway is sloping up to the house and is single lane so you will need to reverse down if you drive right to the Apartment doors to offload your bags. Parking on the driveway is not generally suitable as it will prevent access for other vehicles, so you are asked to park on the street or in the level parking area to the side of the driveway down near the front fence. It is best to reverse into that parking area.
We endeavour to ensure your privacy during your stay, but there's always the opportunity to ask us about local attractions or to seek assistance if needed.
We also practice social distancing and you will find the Apartment offers safe clean accommodation - a thorough clean with sanitary procedures is undertaken between each booking.
