Oak trees surround the property and are covered with Spanish moss. There is also a private boat landing near the property and a private dock is included! The home has a full kitchen for easy meal preparation, as well as a gas grill outside. There is plenty of seating is available for dining both inside and out.

Located in a very secluded area, this home is just under 10 miles away from the town of Ridgeland. Within the city center, there are tons of activities such as shopping, museums, and plenty of restaurants for dining. If you are looking for some unique tours, River Dog Brewing is 15 miles away and the September Oaks Winery is 11 miles from your door.

Dock details: Yes, the creek is tidal.
At low tide, there is approximately 3-5 feet of water at the end of the dock. That said, the creek has several oyster beds that are only visible at low tide, so if the person is putting the boat in at Salzburg Landing - the public ramp that is about 1.2 miles from the house - they should consider putting in at low tide the first time so that they can see the beds.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

- "This rental is remote, but that is what we loved about it. The views were spectacular and we saw an abundance of wildlife every day. It was so tranquil there, we were truly able to fully relax and unwind. The cabin is a bit rustic, and could use some TLC, but we found everything to be clean, well stocked and very comfortable. The only negatives were that the internet was not adequate for my husband to work remotely and the yard was in desperate need of mowing."

Step back in time, this adorable cabin property located on 7.7 acres right outside of Historic Beaufort, South Carolina. Beaufort is an adorable little town with Southern Hospitality. It has great restaurants, bike riding, site seeing, swings along the river, horse and buggy rides, thrift stores galore, Sat. Market at Port Royal with fresh foods and vegetables, very close to the State Park and Beach with Lighthouse. It's only a one min. drive to the river to sit and watch the sun set and one mile the other way down the road is the community boat dock where you can have a tour boat or fishing charter boat pick you up for a day of adventure on the open waters.

This little cottage home has an outdoor swing by a small pond where you can watch the migrant birds. It has a screened in porch with 2 hammocks. Inside is a rustic living room with an authentic "local" boat on the wall that the locals use to use. The kitchen is equipped with toaster, stove and oven, fridge, dishwasher, and dishes, glasses, pots and pans. The living room has high ceilings, an old sail mask, a TV, and a comfortable sofa and chair. The guest room is downstairs and has stacked twins. The full bathroom is downstairs with a claw foot tub and a shower. The main bedroom has a king size bed and is in the loft overlooking the living room area, it has a small closet and a half bath. This is a great place to get away from it all and enjoy Gods creation.

The migrate birds are so beautiful, the property has deer, fruit, flowers, herbs and other natural habitat.

The boat ramp at Sam's Point Boat Landing on Lucy Creek is only a mile down the road, you can pre arrange a charter boat to take you out on the open rivers fishing or enjoy a day on the ocean.
A short walk from the cabin/cottage is South Bluff Heritage Preserve, well known for the Indian Shell Rings, it has a little bench at the end of the hike where you can sit along the river and watch the sunset.

Also 30 min. away is Family Bible Fellowship, It's a wonderful little church to go on Sun.
The beautiful people who attend the church are very caring the Pastor is preaching the Word of God....

- "The Cove exceeded our expectations! It had such a peaceful and relaxing ambiance...so much so that it was hard to drag the family out of the house! We enjoyed sitting on the front screened in porch rocking on the swing and listening to the rain on the tin roof. The childrens beds were extremely comfortable and the bed upstairs was even better. The couch was also very comfy. They had all the little extra touches i.e. laundry detergent, dish soap, and all the dishes and cookware needed. I loved the antique vibe and all the decor was so quaint and pretty...We were an hours drive from Savannah and Charleston...and just ten minutes from the adorable town of beaufort. I would highly recommend the cove and look forward to visiting again."

796 Marlin Drive is a second row house with ocean views and lots of fun features! Starting with a large front porch, this open floor plan has everything you could want. It's designed so that people can be together in the same area doing different activities. The kitchen is to the right upon entering, has all new appliances, custom cabinets, and granite countertops. An extra ice maker has it's own space, which includes a frozen margarita maker for those after the beach cocktails! The view of the ocean from the kitchen is mesmerizing! Sliding glass doors from the kitchen/living area bring you to a screened in porch that overlooks the built in salt water pool and Ocean Point Golf Course. Just imagine lounging by the pool or eating any meal on the pool deck table provided. There is seating for 14 in the dining area, 10 at the large table and 4 at the kitchen counter. The first bedroom on the right has a queen and full bed, a Jack and Jill shower connects to 1 of 2 master bedrooms, with a king bed and a private balcony. Across from this master is the 2nd master with a king bed, with a private balcony. The bathroom is accessible from this bedroom and the hallway. The next bedroom has a queen bed, an en suite bathroom, and a door that goes to the front porch. There are 3 bedrooms on the 1st floor, a bunk room with full beds top and bottom and lots of games to play with, and 2 queen bedrooms. Hargray cable and internet (500bps) have been installed.

A 4 seat golf cart is included with your rental (excluding monthly rentals). Many guests park their cars upon arrival and use the golf cart as their primary form of transportation. It is a great way to leisurely take in the natural scenic beauty of the island and an excellent way to visit to our unique amenities.

It’s an ideal stay for the Gullah Festival, Water Festival, or a sightseeing getaway.

The space
This charming, tiny home is tucked away on our family property on St. Helena Island, SC.

You'll be less than a five-minute walk from the historic Penn Center, where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. worked on parts of his "I Have a Dream" speech. A 15-minute drive brings you to the sandy shores of Hunting Island and Fort Fremont beaches. Some of the island's best restaurants and bars are just minutes away, and downtown Beaufort, with its picturesque waterfront, is also close by.

The efficiency-style cottage features a cozy porch — perfect for sipping your morning coffee as birds sing or unwinding in the afternoon while watching squirrels dart through the yard.

The 325-square-foot space is ideal for two guests but can accommodate up to four. It features a queen-sized bed, a queen-sized pull-out sofa, and a kitchenette equipped with a two-burner glass hotplate, microwave, refrigerator with a freezer, coffee maker, and air fryer.

The large yard is perfect for kids to run and play or for anyone looking to relax and unplug. Our cabin is a great home base for the Gullah Festival, Water Festival, Heritage Festival, or a weekend of sightseeing.

There are no checkout chores — just enjoy your stay, and our housekeeper will take care of everything after you leave!

Please note: Although the cabin is completely private and not shared with others, it is situated on our family's property. Guests will share the driveway and may occasionally see us coming and going, but we respect your privacy and are always happy to help if needed.

As this is our family property, you may also see our two friendly dogs during your stay. One is elderly and, despite arthritis, still has bursts of playful energy with visiting pups. The other is younger but also starting to slow down with age.

Other things to note
To help protect the environment — especially in coastal communities like ours — we provide only hand soap and dish detergent. Most guests prefer to bring their own toiletries, and this small step helps reduce waste and keep our island beautiful.
