The Blue Bird Tree House is a cozy, renovated, older 1 Bedroom cottage in an older neighborhood, 2 full Baths, with Den and is 900 sq ft, on the 2nd floor, (1st floor garage and Laundry) with a wrap around deck, on 3 acres down a tiny gravel lane, nestled around a beautiful forest of mature growth trees, yet only 15 minutes to Rehoboth and Lewes, 15 Minutes to Beebe Hospital and 20 Mins to Bayhealth Hospital, the outlets, Dog Fish Head Brewery as well as Cape Henlopen State Park, bike trails, and hiking! Large outside deck and patio for sunning, tanning, or morning coffee. There are birds, squirrels, deer and other wildlife in and around the woods (also spiders, foxes, frogs). Bring your bikes as it is close by to all the bike trails. This is a tranquil getaway, not a concrete condo off the highway! The Blue Bird is in a one of a kind, old stye, Country Sussex County neighborhood with many of the residents having 5 acres with horses, chickens, roosters (yes you will here them from afar, cock-a-doodle-do-ing), and selling their garden produce and fresh eggs right on the side of the road. You'll pass cookie cutter neighborhoods to get to the Blue Bird, so slow down and enjoy what is left of an old style, country neighborhood from the 1970's where everyone knows everyone. If tranquility at the beach is what you are looking for, you found it! if you love Nature, this is your spot! Bring your boat, fishing gear, crab traps for fishing, there is plenty of parking in the driveway for your boat, plenty of free boat ramps in the area! Note: because of the steps, not suitable for infants and toddlers. This is a very private getaway yet still close to everything. The Den has a Futon, The Master Bedroom a Queen bed. 2 persons maximum. It is 8 miles to downtown Rehoboth, with summer traffic it could take 20 minutes. The best time to travel is morning 8 am to 11 am or after 6pm. Only 7 Miles to downtown Lewes, about a 20 minute drive in the summer season. Truly one of a kind not your concrete condo or cookie cutter house in a development! Smart TV with several free channel options. The home as a brand new HVAC unit, however due to the home being on the 2nd floor, the house runs warm. We ask that you do not put the A/C below 71.

Entire 2nd floor Cabin, driveway, 1st floor patio and 2nd floor deck. 1st floor is garage and storage and will be locked. I live just a 15 mins away if you need anything during your stay.
Other things to note
I have lived in the area for 30 years and can give plenty of recommendations for activities, dining, and nightlife. Our driveway has plenty of parking for your RV, Boat, travel trailer. An outside security camera on the entry door. There are no laundry facilities at the Blue Bird Tree House.
