You can walk out the front door of the apartment to all our restaurants, shopping, fishing and everything Lewes has to offer.. Shuttles are at the corner to take you to neighboring beach towns, outlet shopping, the Cape May Lewes ferry and Cape Henlopen State Park. We have designed this apartment for a romantic couple getaway, or peaceful retreat.

Our spacious, clean, and light-filled second floor apartment overlooks the scenic Canalfront Park Marina. It is in the heart of the downtown historic Lewes, filled with Old World charm. Facing the beautiful 18th-century St. Peter's Church and with the Canalfront Park and Marina to the back, our place is just steps to all of Lewes' wonderful restaurants and shops. It sleeps 4, having two bedrooms with a queen and two single beds, and one large full bath. Beds are made for your arrival. Bath and beach towels are included too. We have a lovely indoor dining area, but really enjoy the outdoor dining spaces on the screened porch and back deck, which are nestled in the trees. The kitchen is set up for cooking meals at home if you choose to dine in. The washer and dryer are conveniently located off the kitchen. There is one dedicated parking spot. Hop on your bike or get in your car and you are a mile down the road from the beach, Lewes-Cape May Ferry, and Cape Henlopen State Park with miles of bike and hiking trails, sea kayaking, paddle boards, and other outdoor activities. Beach chairs and an umbrella are provided. Fun on rainy days, outlet shopping is close by.

NOISE - PLEASE WALK SOFTLY on stairs landings and across interior floors. Do not run, jump or stomp. Electronic devices such as televisions and radios must not be heard outside of your Unit.
Noise travels to Units beside, above and below you.
QUIET HOURS 10:00 PM TO 8:00 AM - Be respectful of your neighbors at all times.
OCCUPANCY LIMITS - Per county regulations regarding sleeping space requirements, the maximum sleeping occupancy for all Units in Town Center East is 4 persons (2 per bedroom). Public spaces such as a dining room and living room may not be used for sleeping purposes.
TRASH -Trash must be in bags and placed inside the dumpsters. No large items permitted. Please place recyclable items in recycling dumpsters. When carrying trash bags, be aware of any leakages and clean them up.
Do not sit trash bags in exterior hallways or porches, even for short periods.
SMOKING - Smoking is not permitted in the exterior hallways. You must be 15' away from the building if you are smoking outside your Unit. Discard butts in the butt cans provided near entrances.
PARKING - Parking is not assigned. Trailers, pull behinds and commercial vehicles may not park in the community parking spaces. Untagged or derelict vehicles will be towed at owners' expense.
GRILLS - Grilling is NOT permitted anywhere in Town Center East, including common areas or porches.
PORCHES - Porches may not be used for storage. Please do not hang or drape anything on porches such as towels or laundry. While all are encouraged to use porches, be aware that noise does travel to other Units.
BIKES - Place bikes in racks under the stairs or racks in the parking lot. Do not attach bikes to anything except racks. Please do not leave bikes in hallways, on sidewalks, or in walkways. All bikes must be labeled with a Town Center East Bicycle Permit.
DRIVE CAREFULLY - Be considerate of children, walkers, cyclists and pets. The speed limit is 15

Bubba & Banjo’s was built as a home for me and my husband before we bought our first house. And now we get to share it with others!

Luxury garage apartment, barndominium, pole barn are a few words people have used when describing the spot. The garden view might be one of my favorite things but the spacious tile shower is a close runner up!

It’s simple but checks all the boxes for what a great rental spot should be in our opinion.

Relax and enjoy the view! While staying here you will get to experience a QUIETER side of Lewes. We are the perfect distance away from the hustle and bustle of Lewes and Route 1 but very CENTRALLY LOCATED as well. It is easy to travel south to Rehoboth and beyond, north to DogFish Head or Broadkill Beach, or west.

My favorite feature is the covered patio to enjoy coffee, a beverage, and the colorful garden views.

This 6 year old garage apartment is well taken care of. It looks and feels BRAND NEW! There are 9 foot ceilings throughout which makes it feel SPACIOUS and ROOMY.

In the kitchen you will find matching stainless steel appliances, drip coffee maker, keruig, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and everything you could possibly need during your stay. There is a pantry, full sized refrigerator and freezer with ice maker. An island in the center makes the perfect breakfast bar!

The living room includes a large sectional couch with multiple recliners, an oversized coffee table, and a smart tv with streaming capabilities (Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Youtube, etc).

Down the short hallway you will find a laundry room with your own washer and dryer. Once you enter the bedroom, there is an en suite bathroom with a beautiful tile shower and a walk-in closet the size of another small room.

Stainless steel exhaust fan with lights over the stove. Cook a meal in the fully equipped and well-appointed kitchen or cookout on the grill. Guest access
Guests will have access to an outdoor shower as well as the full indoor bathroom. It is wonderful to feel the sun beating down on you as you let the water wash away any sand taking up residence in your suit after a lovely stay on the beach. We do ask guests to wash away sandy residue here before heading up to the apt after a day at the ocean :)

This studio apartment is located in Lewes' quiet historic district. Attached to the rear second and third levels of a Victorian home, the apartment has it's own outside private entrance with tree & rooftop views.

We are located one block from our local grocery store, pharmacy, hospital and park (where summer concerts are held weekly). We are two blocks away from the library, scenic walking/biking trails, 1.02 miles from beach and within walking distance of many restaurants.

The space
MAIN LEVEL ACCESS is via an EXTERIOR STAIRCASE OF 17 STEPS that includes a landing halfway up. A NARROW SPIRAL STAIRCASE leads to the BEDROOM LOFT and is NOT RECOMMENDED FOR TALL OR LARGE PERSONS.

Guest access
Again, access to the bedroom level is up a NARROW SPIRAL STAIRCASE. We have two rescue dogs who have never been and will never be allowed in the loft. These siblings have been known to bark on occasion. However, that does not happen often nor for very long.

Other things to note
The thermostat for The Loft is located is not accessible to guests. However, do not hesitate to let me know what setting is comfortable for you.

The space
The Loft is a private apartment over our barn. It's very quiet and comfy. The barn was just built in the spring of 2020, so don't think this is an old musty horse barn. You have your own private entrance, so you can come & go as you please.

Guest access
Access to the Loft is simple. I program the key-less entry with the last 4 digits of your phone number. With concerns of Covid-19 there is no need for any contact with us. However my wife Judi & I live on the property so we're always available if you need something.

You have complete access to our rear yard and lawn furniture. We also have a gas grill for you to use during your stay.

Within the entry of the unit, there is a storage area for you to keep your bikes, coolers & beach chairs. You are the only one who will have access to this area.

Other things to note
Depending on your choice of walking, running or bicycling, you can use of the many trails around our area. The Georgetown-Lewes Trail is just about a mile from the Loft. Their are 2 bakeries on that trail that have "decadent" desserts and breakfast sandwiches.

That trail connects either to the Junction-Breakwater trail in Lewes or the Henlopen State Park & the Gordon Pond trail. Both of these trails are VERY SCENIC and will lead you into downtown Rehobeth.

Although it is a 16 mile loop, it is the most relaxing bicycle ride you may ever take. Couple in the scenic views of the Lewes Canal, "The Great Marsh", the Rehobeth Beach Boardwalk, and the many shops and eateries. You can make the better part of the entire day doing it.

Our condo is right next door to the paved Lewes-Georgetown Trail where you can bike or walk to downtown Lewes, Lewes Beach, Cape Henlopen State Park, and Gordons Pond State Park. The trail also connects to the Junction & Breakwater Trail which can be taken into Rehoboth.

If you are in town for a wedding, Covered Bridge is 4.3 miles away, Irish Eyes 2.9 miles and Nassau Valley Vineyards 1.6 miles.

Bubba & Banjo’s was built as a home for me and my husband before we bought our first house. And now we get to share it with others!

Luxury garage apartment, barndominium, pole barn are a few words people have used when describing the spot. The garden view might be one of my favorite things but the spacious tile shower is a close runner up!

It’s simple but checks all the boxes for what a great rental spot should be in our opinion.

The space
Relax and enjoy the view! While staying here you will get to experience a QUIETER side of Lewes. We are the perfect distance away from the hustle and bustle of Lewes and Route 1 but very CENTRALLY LOCATED as well. It is easy to travel south to Rehoboth and beyond, north to DogFish Head or Broadkill Beach, or west.

My favorite feature is the covered patio to enjoy coffee, a beverage, and the colorful garden views.

This 6 year old garage apartment is well taken care of. It looks and feels BRAND NEW! There are 9 foot ceilings throughout which makes it feel SPACIOUS and ROOMY.

In the kitchen you will find matching stainless steel appliances, drip coffee maker, keruig, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and everything you could possibly need during your stay. There is a pantry, full sized refrigerator and freezer with ice maker. An island in the center makes the perfect breakfast bar!

The living room includes a large sectional couch with multiple recliners, an oversized coffee table, and a smart tv with streaming capabilities (Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Youtube, etc).

Down the short hallway you will find a laundry room with your own washer and dryer. Once you enter the bedroom, there is an en suite bathroom with a beautiful tile shower and a walk-in closet the size of another small room.

Bright and open loft above our home with private entrance. The studio style space includes a queen bed and queen pullout sofa. Less than four miles to downtown Lewes, Cape Henlopen State Park, and Lewes Beaches. Eight miles to the Rehoboth Boardwalk with so many restaurants and shopping options in between! Eight miles to Dogfish Head Brewery and historic Milton. Bus station is half a mile away and makes a trip to the beach a breeze! So close to many charms of Sussex County.

The space
Summer time around here is very pretty. Lots of birds and bees buzzing around. The loft feels like another world. The deck is amazing. The café table calls your name for breakfast outdoors. Later on, catch some rays on very confortable lounge chairs. At night, star gazing is amazing! Did I say that already? Inside, you’ll find open space, a brand new kitchen and bathroom.

We have added stairs to the deck so you can let your pooch out to a fenced back yard where you’ll find a charcoal grill at your disposition.

The apartment was totally renovated in May 2016, with great attention to detail The master bedroom shares the whole third floor with the master bathroom. It has the original high lofty beamed ceilings from the 1700's. The living spaces are stylish with a lot of separate spaces if privacy is needed.
You can walk down the steps and out the front door to Main Street and all the restaurants and shops that Lewes offers.

Other things to note
The steps are steep but worth the exercise to stay at the Rodney House!
Since it is an old building, it is cooled with window units.

The Rodney House does not have a designated parking space. The spots in front are metered from May through October. There is free parking a block away.
