Being able to walk to all the restaurants and shops and being right on the beach was an excellent advantage. You can park the car and never take it out until you leave. You do have to walk through the bedroom to get to the only bathroom so I wouldn’t stay here unless there are only two people or a family with young children. The unit is bigger and brighter than the pics. It has everything you need. Beach chairs and an umbrella and plenty of towels. The only drawback to staying on the boardwalk is delivery and garbage trucks making noise early in the mornings. If you’d like to sleep in bring earplugs. Other than that we had a great stay and would definitely return."

Bills place was perfect for our sized group, was impeccably clean and well thought out. It is a 1 br apartment which is part of a 3 unit property, also a 2 br apartment and a 4 br house. The sense of community with the other guests was really nice but if you want privacy u can have it. The location is a 10/10 and you will most likely pay the same or more to stay in a hotel that is nothing close to what you get here! Bill is the consummate owner. Kind and responsive from day 1. Our place on Bay Road is nestled between the ocean and the bay. It is a unique retro beach home. There are three apartments with three separate entrances. You can rent one side or all three if you are vacationing with friends or extended family. We are a half block to a private Beach. There are refreshing outside showers to use after a fun filled day at the beach. The backyard has a gas grill that goes perfectly with the outside kitchen. This is our family beach home and our children grew up spending their summers on Bay Road. It is a very special place to us and I'm sure you will love it too.

- "We had an amazing stay. The kids really enjoyed the pool and the condo." - "This was the perfect property for our weekend getaway to celebrate a birthday. The property has everything you need and gives you access to trails, pools and great access to the beach" - "The condo was great - very well equipped but a few small cleanliness items that should have not been overlooked from previous guests. End of first week in June and there seemed to be low occupancy in the units around us but it was very very quiet which was very nice!!! I like that this condo is among trees - very pleasant to sit on porch - in shade -and listen to birds. The condo is in the Sea Colony complex - of which we used none of the amenities as we were interested in Delaware State Park beaches. Sea Colony is a world in itself. Very nicely landscaped. My "complaint" is about Vacasa - the management company - and their communication before arrival and check-in. Before arrival, they send a bunch of emails, often with contradictory instructions about check-in. I called their customer service before arriving for clarification and they were less than helpful - as in not helpful at all. We had a late check-in on a Sunday evening - and customer service continued to give contradictory and false information. The email tells you to go their office, call and get an access code to a mail box (outside the office) - in the mail box is an arrival packet that includes parking permit. We called for the access code and were told no, proceed to the condo and packet would be there. We did as instructed but there was no packet there and no parking permit. So off to a security office (mile plus away) to get a temporary parking permit as there is plenty notice about towing if no permit. Bunch of wasted time. Monday morning at the Vacasa office, our packet awaited. There are other contradictory and less than straight forward things in the Vacasa emails and in Vacasa instructions in the condo. One in particular is about trash and check-out. In a few different ways, the instructions tell you that you have to remove the trash - but they never tell you where any dumpsters are. Frankly, renting a condo, I don't expect to have to drive my trash to a dumpster but that is what we did. That was kind of like camping. Now that I know how Vacasa does and doesn't work and I have a better idea of the Sea Colony complex, I would rent this condo again - very convenient for exploring Delaware beaches - but if I could give Vacasa a 0 instead of a 1, I would."
