Accommodations

Enjoy a comfortable stay in this stunning cabana where you can sleep on a king size or a full-size bed with gel memory foam mattress. You will have your own private bathroom with hot and cold water, a sink, a toilet, and a shower. There is also a clock, a safe, a coffee maker, cream, sugar, tea, and a flat screen TV in your cabana. While we don’t offer air conditioning in our accommodations, rest assured, the fans and the cool tropical breeze will keep you comfortable during your entire stay.
Rates include continental breakfast along with a welcome drink upon arrival. Round-trip boat transfers from Placencia to the island is included for stays of two or more nights. Complimentary Check-In & Check-out transfers are included for stays for more than two nights Off schedule boat transfers and one-night-stay boat transfers are US$250.00 + 12.5% tax for 1 – 6 persons.

All-Inclusive Meal Package

Our all-inclusive meal package includes:
1.All meals starting from dinner on arrival to breakfast on departure.
2. All local drinks (beers, rum, vodka, gin), juices, sodas, water, coffee, and tea. (Exclusive of blended and frozen drinks. Top shelf spirits also not included but guests are free to bring their own if on an all-inclusive plan. Otherwise, outside food and beverages are not allowed.)

Rates are US$130.00/person/day and subject to 12.5% General Sales Tax. All-inclusive meal plan without any beverages and children under 10 are both US$90 + 12.5% per person, per night. We are always happy to accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences provided we are given advanced notice.

Travel to Island

Departure from Placencia to the Island: The transportation from Placencia to the island is scheduled to depart at 2:00 PM. Please make sure to arrive at the designated meeting point, MnM dock in Placencia, with ample time to spare.

Departure from the Island to Placencia: The return transportation from the island to Placencia is scheduled to depart at 11:00 AM. We recommend planning your departure accordingly to ensure you have enough time to catch your onward transportation.

For those who require transportation outside of these specified times, private transfer options can be organized through our reliable third-party provider. Additionally, local ground or air transfers to Placencia can be arranged. This ensures that you can tailor your travel arrangements to suit your preferences and needs.

If you are driving, safe public parking can be found directly in front of the local police station located less than 5 minutes from the MnM dock.

When traveling to Belize City International Airport from Placencia, we can provide two transportation options:

1. Scenic Ground Transfer (2-3 hours)
Up to 4 Persons: US $350
Each additional person: US $20
Children under 12 ride free

2. Domestic Commuter Flight and Airport Transfer (30 minutes)
Cost: US $160 per person (one-way)

For those who require boat transportation outside of the specified times, private transfer options can be organized through our reliable third-party provider.
Travel Recommendations:

Considering the remote location of the island, we recommend booking flights that depart from the Philip Goldson International Airport later in the evening or spending an additional night on the mainland before your departure. This will help ensure that you have sufficient time to travel from the island to the airport and begin the check-in process at least 2 hours before scheduled departure.

Weather Conditions and Travel Delays:

Please be aware that weather conditions can sometimes lead to choppy seas, which may potentially impact the timing of travel to or from the island. While we always strive to provide a smooth travel experience, safety is our utmost priority. We appreciate your understanding in case of any travel delays caused by adverse weather conditions.

Things to Note

1.We are a family friendly island and can accommodate children of all ages. Children ≥3yrs old pay extra person rate of US$60.00 per night plus 9% hotel tax and 10% service charge and Extra adults at a nightly rate of US$80 + 19%

2.We accept cash and credit card (Visa & Master Card) on the island.

3.Overnight stays allows unguided access to paddle boards, kayaks, snorkel equipment and all other games.

4.Room comes equipped with Coffee Maker and cream and sugar. Tissue, bath towels, shampoo, Conditioner and Body wash provided in bathrooms.

5.Tipping is at your discretion and always appreciated but never expected. All tips are entirely distributed among the employees with no portion retained by the resort. If they desire, guests can leave tips for staff at the end of their stay when paying their bill by cash or credit card.

6.Electricity and water on the island is off-grid. Electricity is standard U.S. 110 volt, 60 cycle AC from our inverters charged by our solar array and backup generators. Our water is excellent; produced by our reverse osmosis desalinization plant. Rain water is harvested and hot water in each cabana is provided by on demand gas heaters. We want you to be comfortable, but encourage energy and water conservation as well. We strive, as best as possible, to reduce our carbon footprint, providing guests with sustainable and eco-friendly amenities, services, and experiences that not only enhance their stay but also contribute positively to the environment.

As well as little things like soap and cooking oil.The Wi-Fi worked well the bed was comfortable and the place was overall clean and cozy. There were some items not in repair like the fan (super important here!) also some items weren't well stocked. Only one bath towel and one roll of toilet paper for 10 day stay. The owners were very nice and accommodating. Even helped babysit for me so I could have a few minutes to myself! Over all I was happy with my stay and would recommend it to anyone that likes to do there own cooking while traveling. "

These cabanas are nestled into a property right alongside local homes helping you feel like a local. -Cook stoves all worked nicely for preparing daily meals. -Management arranged taxi rides to and from the airport for us (about a 10 minute drive, $15USD) which made getting here convenient. -Our local management contact was always available via WhatsApp and that was helpful for arranging taxis and for when our codes didn't open the key lockboxes. Cons -No hot water. We contacted management about this a few times but it never got resolved. So cold showers for our week in Belize. The weather there makes cold showers somewhat bearable but it's not ideal after a cold day of scuba diving. -Beds are not super comfortable (very old mattresses) and only come with a top sheet (no blankets) so we had to throw in an extra layer in the evenings to sleep comfortably. -Noisy. You stay right on the main street so we'd get woken up multiple times each night (and I'm a heavy sleeper). We had a late arrival to our group bring down earplugs and everyone slept much better. -A few bugs. Not a huge problem but the cabanas aren't well sealed. We did have a lot of ants and cockroach in one cabana. Maybe just par for the course in Belize. Summary We were happy with our stay in Carol's Cabanas. I'd expect at least hot water and a blanket or two for a better rating. If you're up for a little bit rougher living and want to be in the heart of Placencia, Carol's Cabanas would be a good fit. If you're looking for something a little more refined, this might not be your jam. We're an outdoorsy family so this felt like glamorous camping and we had a good time, though we would have enjoyed hot showers for sure. A decent stay!"

What's nearby:
The Driftwood Cafe is right on the property and opens for lunch. The town pier and the beach are only 200 yards away. Placencia Village isn't too big, so you can really reach all that it has to offer within walking distance. There are gift shops, restaurants, bars, and the well-known gelato shop of Placencia right nearby. There are also several tour places within a five-minute walk where you can arrange all kind of tours - scuba diving, snorkeling, fishing, bird watching, waterfall hiking, and more.

- "With the price you can assume that it’s not gonna be super luxury, but it’s pretty good for the price. The place was clean ish and the customer service wasn’t the best but it has nice anematies. Kind of just the basics but it’s nice ! I do suggest as long as you’re not super sensitive because there is no AC and the occasional cockaroach. But I think the showers, location close to the center/point and hammock make up for it 😆" - "First, we were told we wouldn't need to meet anyone there, that there would be a lock-box and we could just get in. The cabana was hard to find and not marked (to know which one was ours), and the combination we were given was wrong. The wifi information we were given was also wrong, and the wifi network we were given access to barely worked. It looks like there is a dedicated router at the location, but it was disconnected. Amenities listed that were not in fact included: -Washer and Dryer (they told us these were not available, but we could borrow theirs for $10 BZ) -Garage (there was room for us to park our car, but it wasn't in a designated location) -Microwave -Books and Games Also, another family lives right below here and they were blasting music for hours."

You don't need a lot of luggage to enjoy Placencia.
Simple beachwear with coverup and casual clothing is acceptable everywhere.
Most foodstuffs and other things that might weigh you down at the airport are available in Placencia these days. i.e. Special snacks, treats, sunscreen, aloe, shampoo etc. They may be a little more expensive here but if you want to travel light it is possible to purchase most everything here nowadays.
There is a complete pharmacy for OTC and prescription meds etc.

NOTE! No towels or utensils to leave the property. If you are taking excursions(snorkeling, Monkey River etc.) be sure to bring your own towel.

- "My wife and I stayed in one of the cottages while viewing potential real estate deals. All communications were excellent leading up to and during the visit. Because we were visiting as Hurricane Beryl was forming the staff gave us there local view on what was coming so we could make decisions as we were moving on next to Ambergris Caye. A lot of restaurants and locals sales booths within walking distance. A lot of opportunity to interact with the locals which is what we wanted. Would definitely stay there again."

Accommodations

Enjoy a comfortable stay in this stunning cabana where you can sleep on a king size or a full-size bed with gel memory foam mattress. You will have your own private bathroom with hot and cold water, a sink, a toilet, and a shower. There is also a clock, a safe, a coffee maker, cream, sugar, tea, and a flat screen TV in your cabana. While we don’t offer air conditioning in our accommodations, rest assured, the fans and the cool tropical breeze will keep you comfortable during your entire stay.
Rates include continental breakfast along with a welcome drink upon arrival. Round-trip boat transfers from Placencia to the island is included for stays of two or more nights. Complimentary Check-In & Check-out transfers are included for stays for more than two nights Off schedule boat transfers and one-night-stay boat transfers are US$250.00 + 12.5% tax for 1 – 6 persons.

All-Inclusive Meal Package

Our all-inclusive meal package includes:
1.All meals starting from dinner on arrival to breakfast on departure.
2. All local drinks (beers, rum, vodka, gin), juices, sodas, water, coffee, and tea. (Exclusive of blended and frozen drinks. Top shelf spirits also not included but guests are free to bring their own if on an all-inclusive plan. Otherwise, outside food and beverages are not allowed.)

Rates are US$130.00/person/day and subject to 12.5% General Sales Tax. All-inclusive meal plan without any beverages and children under 10 are both US$90 + 12.5% per person, per night. We are always happy to accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences provided we are given advanced notice.

Travel to Island

Departure from Placencia to the Island: The transportation from Placencia to the island is scheduled to depart at 2:00 PM. Please make sure to arrive at the designated meeting point, MnM dock in Placencia, with ample time to spare.

Departure from the Island to Placencia: The return transportation from the island to Placencia is scheduled to depart at 11:00 AM. We recommend planning your departure accordingly to ensure you have enough time to catch your onward transportation.

For those who require transportation outside of these specified times, private transfer options can be organized through our reliable third-party provider. Additionally, local ground or air transfers to Placencia can be arranged. This ensures that you can tailor your travel arrangements to suit your preferences and needs.

If you are driving, safe public parking can be found directly in front of the local police station located less than 5 minutes from the MnM dock.

When traveling to Belize City International Airport from Placencia, we can provide two transportation options:

1. Scenic Ground Transfer (2-3 hours)
Up to 4 Persons: US $350
Each additional person: US $20
Children under 12 ride free

2. Domestic Commuter Flight and Airport Transfer (30 minutes)
Cost: US $160 per person (one-way)

For those who require boat transportation outside of the specified times, private transfer options can be organized through our reliable third-party provider.
Travel Recommendations:

Considering the remote location of the island, we recommend booking flights that depart from the Philip Goldson International Airport later in the evening or spending an additional night on the mainland before your departure. This will help ensure that you have sufficient time to travel from the island to the airport and begin the check-in process at least 2 hours before scheduled departure.

Weather Conditions and Travel Delays:

Please be aware that weather conditions can sometimes lead to choppy seas, which may potentially impact the timing of travel to or from the island. While we always strive to provide a smooth travel experience, safety is our utmost priority. We appreciate your understanding in case of any travel delays caused by adverse weather conditions.

1.We are a family friendly island and can accommodate children of all ages. Children ≥3yrs old pay extra person rate of US$60.00 per night plus 9% hotel tax and 10% service charge and Extra adults at a nightly rate of US$80 + 19%

2.We accept cash and credit card (Visa & Master Card) on the island.

3.Overnight stays allows unguided access to paddle boards, kayaks, snorkel equipment and all other games.

4.Room comes equipped with Coffee Maker and cream and sugar. Tissue, bath towels, shampoo, Conditioner and Body wash provided in bathrooms.

5.Tipping is at your discretion and always appreciated but never expected. All tips are entirely distributed among the employees with no portion retained by the resort. If they desire, guests can leave tips for staff at the end of their stay when paying their bill by cash or credit card.

6.Electricity and water on the island is off-grid. Electricity is standard U.S. 110 volt, 60 cycle AC from our inverters charged by our solar array and backup generators. Our water is excellent; produced by our reverse osmosis desalinization plant. Rain water is harvested and hot water in each cabana is provided by on demand gas heaters. We want you to be comfortable, but encourage energy and water conservation as well. We strive, as best as possible, to reduce our carbon footprint, providing guests with sustainable and eco-friendly amenities, services, and experiences that not only enhance their stay but also contribute positively to the environment.

- "Truly a slice of paradise. The staff are incredible, the food is amazing, the amenities are plentiful. We had the most amazing stay with our 5 and 7 year olds. Never a dull moment. And, even in the rain, we made fantastic memories. king Leary’s does not disappoint. Located 5 minutes walk from Placencia village with the largest and most beautiful beach in Belize! The house is in a nice residential neighborhood across the canal, on an island. Theres a small boat for use, to get back and forth across the canal, which takes just a few paddle strokes. The living area is upstairs and fully furnished. Theres a futon in the living room, the bedroom has a wood framed queen sized bed, dresser and air conditioning. The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, fridge, all utensils and appliances. The bathroom has a nice tile shower and theres a view out every window! Feel the sea breeze from the front deck!

- "While a few repairs were necessary after the pandemic closure, these were fewer than expected and promptly dealt with. The cabana is just the right size for one (or two) and has all the amenities that make it easy to stay there. The rowboat, once mastered, makes it simple to get across the canal and into town. The covered porch is in shade for most of the day and there is often a light breeze that makes it pleasant. There are excellent screens on the windows and lots of cross-ventilation in the bedroom which keeps it cool at night and comfortable. The internet is speedy and reliable and allowed me to attend a number of meetings. Altogether, a great place to stay."

Escape into nature at this stunning property on the Placencia Peninsula, where you'll have three treehouse-style cabanas that are perfectly in tune with their surroundings. Each cabana features its own kitchenette for chefs which include a refrigerator, freezer, blender, juicer, microwave, electric stove, toaster oven, and coffee maker. These three cabanas are located in Surfside, a quiet area of the peninsula just five minutes' walk from the beach and the Caribbean Sea. In Surfside, you'll find a variety of great restaurants, bars, and a supermarket to cover all of your needs. You can easily charter a boat, go out fishing, snorkel or scuba dive around the coral reef, or walk to the local miniature golf course for a fun day out with your loved ones.

Accommodations

Enjoy a comfortable stay in this stunning cabana where you can sleep on a king size or a full-size bed with gel memory foam mattress. You will have your own private bathroom with hot and cold water, a sink, a toilet, and a shower. There is also a clock, a safe, a coffee maker, cream, sugar, tea, and a flat screen TV in your cabana. While we don’t offer air conditioning in our accommodations, rest assured, the fans and the cool tropical breeze will keep you comfortable during your entire stay.
Rates include continental breakfast along with a welcome drink upon arrival. Round-trip boat transfers from Placencia to the island is included for stays of two or more nights. Complimentary Check-In & Check-out transfers are included for stays for more than two nights Off schedule boat transfers and one-night-stay boat transfers are US$250.00 + 12.5% tax for 1 – 6 persons.

All-Inclusive Meal Package

Our all-inclusive meal package includes:
1.All meals starting from dinner on arrival to breakfast on departure.
2. All local drinks (beers, rum, vodka, gin), juices, sodas, water, coffee, and tea. (Exclusive of blended and frozen drinks. Top shelf spirits also not included but guests are free to bring their own if on an all-inclusive plan. Otherwise, outside food and beverages are not allowed.)

Rates are US$130.00/person/day and subject to 12.5% General Sales Tax. All-inclusive meal plan without any beverages and children under 10 are both US$90 + 12.5% per person, per night. We are always happy to accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences provided we are given advanced notice.

Travel to Island

Departure from Placencia to the Island: The transportation from Placencia to the island is scheduled to depart at 2:00 PM. Please make sure to arrive at the designated meeting point, MnM dock in Placencia, with ample time to spare.

Departure from the Island to Placencia: The return transportation from the island to Placencia is scheduled to depart at 11:00 AM. We recommend planning your departure accordingly to ensure you have enough time to catch your onward transportation.

For those who require transportation outside of these specified times, private transfer options can be organized through our reliable third-party provider. Additionally, local ground or air transfers to Placencia can be arranged. This ensures that you can tailor your travel arrangements to suit your preferences and needs.

If you are driving, safe public parking can be found directly in front of the local police station located less than 5 minutes from the MnM dock.

When traveling to Belize City International Airport from Placencia, we can provide two transportation options:

1. Scenic Ground Transfer (2-3 hours)
Up to 4 Persons: US $350
Each additional person: US $20
Children under 12 ride free

2. Domestic Commuter Flight and Airport Transfer (30 minutes)
Cost: US $160 per person (one-way)

For those who require boat transportation outside of the specified times, private transfer options can be organized through our reliable third-party provider.
Travel Recommendations:

Considering the remote location of the island, we recommend booking flights that depart from the Philip Goldson International Airport later in the evening or spending an additional night on the mainland before your departure. This will help ensure that you have sufficient time to travel from the island to the airport and begin the check-in process at least 2 hours before scheduled departure.

Weather Conditions and Travel Delays:

Please be aware that weather conditions can sometimes lead to choppy seas, which may potentially impact the timing of travel to or from the island. While we always strive to provide a smooth travel experience, safety is our utmost priority. We appreciate your understanding in case of any travel delays caused by adverse weather conditions.

Things to Note

1.We are a family friendly island and can accommodate children of all ages. Children ≥3yrs old pay extra person rate of US$60.00 per night plus 9% hotel tax and 10% service charge and Extra adults at a nightly rate of US$80 + 19%

2.We accept cash and credit card (Visa & Master Card) on the island.

3.Overnight stays allows unguided access to paddle boards, kayaks, snorkel equipment and all other games.

4.Room comes equipped with Coffee Maker and cream and sugar. Tissue, bath towels, shampoo, Conditioner and Body wash provided in bathrooms.

5.Tipping is at your discretion and always appreciated but never expected. All tips are entirely distributed among the employees with no portion retained by the resort. If they desire, guests can leave tips for staff at the end of their stay when paying their bill by cash or credit card.

6.Electricity and water on the island is off-grid. Electricity is standard U.S. 110 volt, 60 cycle AC from our inverters charged by our solar array and backup generators. Our water is excellent; produced by our reverse osmosis desalinization plant. Rain water is harvested and hot water in each cabana is provided by on demand gas heaters. We want you to be comfortable, but encourage energy and water conservation as well. We strive, as best as possible, to reduce our carbon footprint, providing guests with sustainable and eco-friendly amenities, services, and experiences that not only enhance their stay but also contribute positively to the environment.

Escape into nature at this stunning property on the Placencia Peninsula, where you'll have three treehouse-style cabanas that are perfectly in tune with their surroundings. Each cabana features its own kitchenette for chefs which include a refrigerator, freezer, blender, juicer, microwave, electric stove, toaster oven, and coffee maker. For a change of pace, try the common BBQ area with picnic seating and sear something on the grill.The cabanas are also equipped with free WiFi, a Netflix-equipped smart TV, and a veranda where you can dine alfresco, take afternoon naps in the hammock, and listen to the sounds of the tropical birds singing.

These three cabanas are located in Surfside, a quiet area of the peninsula just five minutes' walk from the beach and the Caribbean Sea. In Surfside, you'll find a variety of great restaurants, bars, and a supermarket to cover all of your needs. You can easily charter a boat, go out fishing, snorkel or scuba dive around the coral reef, or walk to the local miniature golf course for a fun day out with your loved ones.
