**ABOUT PLACENCIA**
Placencia is the second most popular tourist destination located in Southern Belize. It is located on a 16 mile long peninsula that is surrounded by the Placencia Lagoon on one side and the Caribbean Sea on the other. It is much smaller, less congested and more laid back than Ambergris Caye / San Pedro. Being on a peninsula and not an island, Placencia provides easy access to the Belize Rainforest and many activities on the mainland like Mayan Ruins, waterfalls, zip lining and cave tubbing to name a few. **GETTING FROM THE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO THE PROPERTY**
All international flights into and out of Belize are serviced through the Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport (BZE), located northwest of Belize City. Your concierge will assist with the first options to arrange domestic transportation from BZE to Placencia:
- Travel by plane on a local commuter flight from the airport (BZE) to the Placencia Airstrip (PLJ). Flight time is approximately 30 minutes. Once in Placencia, our staff will pick you up and take you to the villa. Our concierge will work with you to book the local flights as soon as you have your international flights ready.
- Travel by private shuttle van from BZE, where the driver will meet you outside of baggage claim. The drive time is approximately 2 hours. You’ll be taken directly to the villa. Our concierge will work with you to book the shuttle van as soon as you have your international flights ready.
- Option 3 is to rent a vehicle at BZE and make the drive down to the condo yourself. There are numerous rental car agencies right across the parking lot from baggage claim including Hertz Avis and Crystal Car Rental a larger local car rental company. You would just need to go online to book and secure a vehicle prior to arrival.

**BOOKING FEES & CANCELLATION POLICY**
A full refund minus a non-refundable booking fee of $450, will be issued when Guest elects to cancel the booking at least 120 days prior to check-in date. If the booking is canceled at any point after the 120 days, all payments made will be retained.

This GOLD STANDARD elegant, private, serene, and truly beautiful villa is set in a gorgeous tropical garden complete with a large waterfall pool, palapa dock, rooftop deck, outdoor entertainment area all right on the Caribbean Sea. This private, walled estate offers complete security, luxury, and privacy. Yet it is but a short walk (5-8 minutes only) to the centre of Placencia Village with its many artisan shops, fantastic local and international restaurants and fun beach bars. As we offer courtesy pick up service to and from the airport, all day excursion guides offer free pick up for guests staying at the villa, the majority of our guests chose not to rent a vehicle during their stay. The interior space is the lower level of the Villa and is approximately 2,000 square feet offering beautiful decor and every comfort of home. There are two bedrooms each with a queen sized bed and two large bathrooms. One has a beautiful outdoor shower complete with its own small private garden as well as large walk-in indoor shower. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a gas range, a large refrigerator with an ice maker and water dispenser, blender, microwave oven, dishwasher and all other equipment necessary to produce a gourmet meal which can be enjoyed in the dining area which seats six. The lounge area is complete with all you need to enjoy a relaxing evening watching television (flat screen) or listening to music. The entire area is tastefully decorated with local art and crafts and is very well maintained. Of course it has central air conditioning, free wi-fi (Skype quality) and cable television for your comfort and enjoyment.

The garden and pool area is truly beautiful! There are many paths to explore to discover its lush foliage, bountiful flowers, including many orchids, numerous types of palms and flowering shrubs, climbing vines and even fruit trees. When swimming in the large salt water pool, gazing at the sea, the large palms or the hundreds of flowers which surround it, one feels as though they are truly in the Garden of Eden! There are several cushioned lounges, chairs, even a hammock in the pool area where you can choose to rest in either the sun or the shade.

Near the pool area is also a new entertainment area complete with an outdoor kitchen. Beautiful custom made picnic table and wet bar complete with refrigerator and Caribbean style gas/wood/briquet BBQ with a smoker to prepare and enjoy those more casual meals and drinks.

Swimming in the waterfall is fun and only 30 minutes away then have lunch on the top of the mountain with a 360 degree view of beautiful Belize! We did go to the Mayan ruins a 3 hour drive it was pretty cool and interesting then went to Guatemala !! A must do is to contact Corine at The Yacht Club which is down in the village she will send a boat in the bay of the village to get you, best bruschetta & jalapeño poppers ever! This truly was our favorite vaca from cold Michigan! Loved being on the beach & having the pier!"

Placencia is the second most popular tourist destination located in Southern Belize. It is located on a 16 mile long peninsula that is surrounded by the Placencia Lagoon on one side and the Caribbean Sea on the other. It is much smaller, less congested and more laid back than Ambergris Caye / San Pedro. Being on a peninsula and not an island, Placencia provides easy access to the Belize Rainforest and many activities on the mainland like Mayan Ruins, waterfalls, zip lining and cave tubbing to name a few. Placencia offers numerous restaurants, small shops and bars and is home to famous Placencia Sidewalk and is the perfect place for an amazing Caribbean vacation.

All international flights coming into Belize land at the Belize City Airport (BZE). Our full time concierge will work with you to arrange transportation from BZE to the property.

Getting from BZE to The Enclave is easy with 2 options available.

Option 1 is to take a short (approximately 30 minute) local commuter flight from BZE to the Placencia Airstrip where you will be met by the island's staff that will pick you in our custom limo golf cart to take the short 1 minute ride to our marina where the boat will be waiting to take you on the short ride out to the island. Our concierge will work with you to book these flights once you have your international flights booked and locked in.

Option 2 is to take a van shuttle from BZE to the Gecko Marina where the island's staff will be waiting on you to take you in the boat to take you to the island. The driver will meet you outside of baggage claim. The drive from BZE to our marina is around 2.5 hours. Our concierge will work with you to get this booked again once you have your international flights booked.

A full refund minus a non-refundable booking fee of $450, will be issued when Guest elects to cancel the booking at least 120 days prior to check-in date. If the booking is canceled at any point after the 120 days, all payments made will be retained.

The home is composed of three suites.
The upper level living area has a suite. It is composed of a master bedroom, full gourmet kitchen, living room, private bath with an open shower and two sinks. Vaulted mahogany ceilings and hardwood floors provide beauty and comfort. A covered 400 sq. ft. veranda runs the length of the home and provides views of the ocean from the deck and inside of the home. The living room has a comfortable convertible double sleeper couch. Enjoy your breakfast on the porch watching the sunrise as the sea breeze gently cools you. The house is designed to allow the ocean breeze access to the entire house as the outside living space blends with interior living area. There are individual AC units in the bedroom and living area to cool the unit for your comfort. Ceiling fans throughout the home keep the air fresh.

The ground floor offers two suites.
One has two queen beds and the other one has one queen bed. Both offer a ensuite bathroom. Double doors lead directly onto the deck, pool and beach. The spaces share a smaller kitchen between the two bedrooms, a convenient way to store the poolside drinks without having to venture upstairs. Each unit is individually air conditioned. The ground floor units open onto a 800 sq. ft. covered veranda with pool.

The swimming pool is perfect size to keep you cool while you enjoy the view of the ocean. Enjoy the decks and pool veranda to swim or sunbathe. There is a variety of patio furniture, a hammock, and a gas barbecue here. You only have to venture a few steps in the white sand to your own private beach complete with chairs, hammock and covered palapa.

Finally there is a third floor - an observation deck which allows views of the ocean, the lagoon, and the Mayan mountains. This spot is perfect for breakfast coffee and an evening 'sundowner'. The observation deck provides truly breathtaking views.

The home is unique in that it has Caribbean beachfront as well as shorefront on the scenic Placencia lagoon. This offers diverse recreational options including kayaking and fishing. Two double kayaks are provided with the house, together with lifejackets.
The villa is 10 minutes to the village of Maya Beach, where there is a good selection of bars and restaurants and the nearest grocery store. It is a further 15 minutes to the village of Placencia.

There are many tour opportunities in the Placencia area; SCUBA, snorkeling, jungle river trips and fly fishing just to name a few. The fishing is world class and makes Placencia home to many well known international fishing outfitters. The diving make this a favorite destination for SCUBA enthusiasts. The offshore reef is the second largest in the world and is a thrill to both novice and seasoned divers. There is easy access to the Hummingbird highway leading north to the mountains and many famous rain forest lodges. There are also a number of day spas on the peninsula. You may just elect to stay home, walk the beach, swing in a hammock, read and enjoy being in beautiful Belize.

**GETTING FROM THE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO THE PROPERTY**
All international flights into and out of Belize are serviced through the Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport (BZE), located northwest of Belize City. Your concierge will assist with the first options to arrange domestic transportation from BZE to Placencia:
- Travel by plane on a local commuter flight from the airport (BZE) to the Placencia Airstrip (PLJ). Flight time is approximately 30 minutes. Once in Placencia, our staff will pick you up and take you to the villa. Our concierge will work with you to book the local flights as soon as you have your international flights ready.
- Travel by private shuttle van from BZE, where the driver will meet you outside of baggage claim. The drive time is approximately 2 hours. You’ll be taken directly to the villa. Our concierge will work with you to book the shuttle van as soon as you have your international flights ready.
- Option 3 is to rent a vehicle at BZE and make the drive down to the condo yourself. There are numerous rental car agencies right across the parking lot from baggage claim including Hertz Avis and Crystal Car Rental a larger local car rental company. You would just need to go online to book and secure a vehicle prior to arrival.

A large winding hardwood staircase takes you to the master bedroom suite which takes up the entire 3rd floor. This 3rd floor private suite contains a King bed, a living private living area and large private bathroom complete with a huge shower looking over the Mayan Mountains.
The second floor living area extends to two beautifully finished outdoor living spaces. On the west side you'll enjoy a fire table with plush and comfy oversized seating which is the perfect spot for a pre-dinner drink as you watch the sunset over the Mayan Mountains. To the east you'll watch the sunrise over the ocean on your huge covered patio. Other features of the outdoor living area include a heated infinity pool, large dining table for the family, a Traeger smoker, and additional gas grill.
Walk down the steps to the ground-floor entertainment space with a large party pool, covered dining area with thatch beach palapa, large sundeck, and outdoor kitchen with a gas rotisserie grill and flat top Plancha grill. **GETTING FROM THE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO THE PROPERTY**
All international flights into and out of Belize are serviced through the Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport (BZE), located northwest of Belize City. Your concierge will assist with the first options to arrange domestic transportation from BZE to Placencia:
- Travel by plane on a local commuter flight from the airport (BZE) to the Placencia Airstrip (PLJ). Flight time is approximately 30 minutes. Once in Placencia, our staff will pick you up and take you to the villa. Our concierge will work with you to book the local flights as soon as you have your international flights ready.
- Travel by private shuttle van from BZE, where the driver will meet you outside of baggage claim. The drive time is approximately 2 hours. You’ll be taken directly to the villa. Our concierge will work with you to book the shuttle van as soon as you have your international flights ready.
- Option 3 is to rent a vehicle at BZE and make the drive down to the condo yourself. There are numerous rental car agencies right across the parking lot from baggage claim including Hertz Avis and Crystal Car Rental a larger local car rental company. - "My wife and I stayed at Gladden Island 7/12/19 – 7/19/19. From the moment we arrived, we knew that we were in for a very special trip. The staff were absolutely amazing and tended to every need we could imagine. The food was fabulous! On Tuesday, I asked the chef if she had ever heard of a Pecan Pie (my favorite). She said she had not, but she would research it. That night, she had a full size Pecan Pie waiting for us for our dessert. The daily massages for fantastic. We snorkeled and spent lots of time in the pool and reading books. The island has Apple TV along with a surround sound system so that you can play music throughout the island and the inside and outside. I would highly suggest this for couples who lead an incredibly busy life and need to get way to unplug and rest and unwind!"

The upper level of the villa has 2 bedrooms with 1 king bed and 2 single beds. Both bedrooms have airco and a ceiling fan. The ensuite bathroom has all the aminities you need. The full equiped kitchen and living room give out on a large porch with a sitting area where you can enjoy the most spectacular view while sipping on your coctail.
You have access to your private, no sharing pool, a whirlpool and a pool house with outdoor shower, sitting area and a bar.

- "Nice" - "Great location - super clean and comfortable - great swimming pool." - "The accomodation was even better than we Imagined from the description and photos. The accomodation is on the 1st floor. The ground floor is occupied by the housemanager and his family. You will not notice them during your stay unless you need something or advice from Reuben. We had seen on the photos that there is a pool but to our pleasant surprise it is much bigger than we thought. The pool and the whole deck surrounding it (including a comfortable loungeset., an outdoor walk-in shower, a bathroom, and a gas bbq) is solely yours to use during your stay despite it being on the ground floor. It gives.a sublime view of the lagoon and harbour and beautiful sunsets. The first floor itself has it's own huge balcony with a dining set and another loungeset. From here you maybe have an even better view than from the pooldeck. There's also a covered roofterrace with a bench from which I imagine you might even have a better view but we never used it. The 'house' itself is very well kept, modernly equipped with everything you need, including aircos throughout the house, dishwasher and for those who can't be bothered with beautiful weather, views, pool etc. there's even a flatscreen tv. The beds were very comfortable. The grounds are fenced so.safe for uou and your car. Not that I.otherwise would feel unsafe. It's an easy.5-10 minute stroll to a supermarket, atm, Buba Wubas bar and grill or the boardwalk including the most popular beachbars Tipsy Tuna and Barefoots."
