The Omni Hotel in Puerto Aventuras was bought out by another hotel a few years ago and the new owners ceased their membership program.

Is cleaning included in the fee?

Our maid service comes prior to your visit to ensure the home is cleaned from top to bottom! Then she will clean after your departure.

How do I get around Puerto Aventuras?

The marina where all the shops and restaurants are is only a 10-15 minute walk from the house! We also have 5 bikes for exploring as well as many options for golf cart rentals in the PA marina area.

Do you have a hot tub?

Technically yes we do but unfortunately it is often in and out of maintenance issues. If it's working during your stay, wonderful, but we are not listing it as an amenity at this time.

Casa Sarita, a modern, spacious villa, nestled in a lush tropical garden is built and finished to the highest standards, and equipped with everything you need for a superb tropical vacation. The villa is about a 8 minute walk to the beach.
Sarita offers all the comforts of a luxury home in the 3 bedrooms on the second floor, and 1 bedroom on the first floor in the main house. If relaxation is what you crave there are several spaces where you can do just that. You can relax and enjoy the views of the gardens and private pool from the covered terraces on the 2nd floor and from the patio on the 1st floor. The 4th bedroom has a terrace overlooking the front court yard. This lovely spacious Mexican Colonial-style Villa has a wonderful atmosphere of both old and new. You are welcomed with a lovely and elegant rod iron gated entrance and a front courtyard with a romantic and soothing water fountain. In the courtyard there is a separate building that houses two large, private bedroom suites with ensuite bathrooms. As you walk into this lovely Villa you have a lovely view of the private back yard pool, deck area and tropical garden heading out to the golf course. It was hot in the main areas without air conditioning but our group managed it fine. The bedrooms are very well air conditioned. The location was perfect. ***Warning Catering with Valerie*** She cancelled our catering 3 days prior to arrival because I was upset that she wanted me to pay for catering for 3,4,5 year old children who I knew were not going to eat what we ordered. She said "I was lucky she was only going to charge me half price. Usually she charges full price." I said if I am paying for them I want the food that is left over because I know they are not going to eat it. Apparently this didn't sit well with her and she cancelled 3 days before we arrived, even though I had paid in full. It was so disappointing and so poorly handled! Don't trust her!!! Fortunately, PA Catering was able to step in and supply us with great food. We loved the quesadillas and the Mayan Luau. Other than Valerie, our stay was amazing!"

The 5th bedroom has its own entrance way separate from the main Villa. It is located in the courtyard. This bedroom studio has its own kitchenette and marble ensuite bathroom. There are two single beds that are put together to make a king bed and a single bed. It is the perfect bedroom if you wish to have your own space.

The view is absolutely stunning! Unfortunately the beach is quite rocky and we did not even attempt to go in the water in front of the villa. However, there is a beautiful beach about 5 minute walk in the sand from the Villa. Once we discovered this, the kids always wanted to go play in that area. We found the satellite TV was quite unreliable. Although we were not there to watch tv, we were happy that we had brought our own Apple TV as an alternative. Thanks to the staff at Hacienda del Mar, our family vacation will never be forgotten! "

- "We wanted to plan a vacation with 3 generations of extended family for spring break, so we were looking for something spacious and comfortable. We didnt want to stay on a crowded mega-resort, but wanted the convenience of amenities nearby. This house was perfect! It is a good size and easily accommodated our group of 9. It has a large kitchen and living area, perfect for family gathering. The back has a large sliding glass wall that opens out onto the patio and yard. The pool was a perfect size for the kids and there were pool toys to keep them busy. My daughter was so excited to go swimming that she ran face first into the glass wall, so we put some painters tape on them to prevent more accidents. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the kids loved the bunk room. The kitchen is very well stocked with cookware and dishware. In fact, our concierge was able to help us arrange a private chef to cook us an amazing 4-course meal our first night there so we didn’t have to worry about going to the store when we arrived. If you aren’t familiar with Puerto Aventuras, it is a large gated residential community which has everything from condos and single-family homes to estate mansions and smaller resorts. It seems many of the residents are year round. But what’s amazing is it has its own small town centered around a marina as well as its own beaches. There are restaurants and stores everywhere, a farmers market on Wed and Sat, and a local artisan fair on Sun. There are plenty of activities from snorkeling to boat cruises. And there are dolphins and sea lions in the marina which you can just watch for free or pay to swim with. The town is easily walkable and less than a five minute walk from the house. Our concierge also helped arrange a golf cart rental, which came in handy getting the kids and the grandparents around. It’s also good to get to some of the other restaurants a little further from the marina like Chez Waffle and the juice bar. Speaking of restaurants - too many to name them all, but O Sole Mio, Don Cafeta, Nauti Burritos, and Pineapple were our favorites. And finally, the concierge was extremely responsive, helping to arrange transfers and amenities which made our trip very enjoyable! If we come back to Mexico, we will definitely be staying here again!"

Large interior and exterior dining tables for entertaining. Each of the 4 bedrooms has its own bathroom with shower as well as its own balcony. Each bedroom has air conditioning for your comfort.

All rooms had AC, fans and screened doors, so you can choose the best cooling option. Minutes away from Chedraui (grocery store) and the downtown/city center of the gated community." - "We just spent an awesome week at this property. Everything is as the photos show.Pool: Warm enough for kids and adults to enjoy. There is always a part of the pool in the shade and sun which was nice because you could stay in the pool and avoid direct sun. There is a yard maitenence worker who comes daily and his duties include cleaning the pool and adding water/testing the water. The pool has a large shallow shelf which was perfect for the youngest in our group, as well as for us adults to relax!Beach: Beach was a quick golf cart ride away. If walking it maybe took 8min total. The entrance was along the side of the beach club. Interior: The inside of the house is exactly as the photos show. Each bedroom was large. We did not use the showers in two of the bedrooms upstairs so cant comment on that. The house itself has a fantastic layout. It's open, bright, and has lots of room, certainly enough that it would easily accommodate two families who wanted to vacation together. We went with our three boys (ages 8, 7, 5) so each child had their own bedroom (TONS of space in the big upstairs bedrooms) and my husband and I had the master bedroom. Big closets with lots of shelving, in addition to the large bathrooms upstairs meant there was never any crowding like you would feel in a smaller house or condo. The kitchen was large and open, as was the living room. There was a direct line of sight to the backyard private pool from both the kitchen and living room, which was fantastic as our boys spent time in the pool every day. The backyard patio table area was covered by shade most of the time so that allowed some relief from the sun, but with lots of space on the deck to sit in the sun by the pool as well. The backyard felt quite private as it backed onto a large bush area that separates the property from the golf course. The neighbors on either side are close, but shrubs, trees, and a dividing wall provides privacy. The location is great. It's a five minute walk to a nearby beach that isn't too busy, even though it's shared by many properties. It offered excellent views of the sunrise and calm, shallow water for snorkelling for the kids to see a few fish. The community itself with the marina, shops, bars, and stores was great to grab some essentials, go out for a drink, go running, etc. It's also in a great spot along the coast, as it's south of Playa Del Carmen (we found the region between Cancun and Playa to be quite a bit busier). So we were easily able to access lots of things we wanted to do: ferry to Cozumel, ruins and beaches of Tulum (fantastic), Chichen Itza (amazing!), snorkelling to see turtles at Akumal (boys loved this), etc. Having a rental car meant we didn't have to book ourselves onto tour buses or hire taxis. So this was great. We were also very happy with the service provided by Gina (owner), Mario (I believe he's the property manager who attended to check in/check out), Ayda (house cleaner) and pool cleaner. If we were missing any items or had requests, the response was within a couple hours. The property was in great condition and very clean. Definitely recommend it!"

- "We wanted to plan a vacation with 3 generations of extended family for spring break, so we were looking for something spacious and comfortable. We didnt want to stay on a crowded mega-resort, but wanted the convenience of amenities nearby. This house was perfect! It is a good size and easily accommodated our group of 9. It has a large kitchen and living area, perfect for family gathering. The back has a large sliding glass wall that opens out onto the patio and yard. The pool was a perfect size for the kids and there were pool toys to keep them busy. My daughter was so excited to go swimming that she ran face first into the glass wall, so we put some painters tape on them to prevent more accidents. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the kids loved the bunk room. The kitchen is very well stocked with cookware and dishware. In fact, our concierge was able to help us arrange a private chef to cook us an amazing 4-course meal our first night there so we didn’t have to worry about going to the store when we arrived. If you aren’t familiar with Puerto Aventuras, it is a large gated residential community which has everything from condos and single-family homes to estate mansions and smaller resorts. It seems many of the residents are year round. But what’s amazing is it has its own small town centered around a marina as well as its own beaches. There are restaurants and stores everywhere, a farmers market on Wed and Sat, and a local artisan fair on Sun. There are plenty of activities from snorkeling to boat cruises. And there are dolphins and sea lions in the marina which you can just watch for free or pay to swim with. The town is easily walkable and less than a five minute walk from the house. Our concierge also helped arrange a golf cart rental, which came in handy getting the kids and the grandparents around. It’s also good to get to some of the other restaurants a little further from the marina like Chez Waffle and the juice bar. Speaking of restaurants - too many to name them all, but O Sole Mio, Don Cafeta, Nauti Burritos, and Pineapple were our favorites. And finally, the concierge was extremely responsive, helping to arrange transfers and amenities which made our trip very enjoyable! If we come back to Mexico, we will definitely be staying here again!"
