You'll find everything you need in this newly remodeled and delightfully decorated villa. There is a small kitchen with a 2-burner stove; microwave, coffeepot, a king-size bed, gas BBQ grill, smart TV, heated salt-water pool, WiFi Internet - Your home away from home!

The main house of Quinta Ixchel is located on the same property next to the Villa. When on the island, my father stays at the main house and you will find him to be helpful for advice about the island. At the back of the property is one other very small house where the caretaker, Poli and his wife, Gladys, live. They are wonderful people who you would only see when they are cleaning the pool, raking the beach or watering the plants. Gladys is also an incredible cook. If you would like to have her cook food for you, she would love to do so for an extra fee. They take great pride and are very protective of our property - we are very lucky to have them. Thanks to them and the privacy of the house, the property is very secure. There are also surveillance cameras on the property for the safety of everyone.

We also have a new dock in the lagoon with a beautiful palapa to enjoy morning coffee or afternoon cocktails!

It is located in the Sac Bajo neighborhood of the island, close to Villa Rolandis and Dolphin Discovery. It is very easy to catch a taxi in front of the house for a short ride to town.

The Villa is equipped with two sets of sliding glass doors that open completely to the outside on both sides to expand your living experience. Under the private palapa, you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the pool and turquoise ocean, private beach, kayaks, and Cancun skyline. The villa is the perfect place for morning walks on the beach and faces west for beautiful sunsets.

The one that made the biggest impact in our vacation was Chef Octavio Reyes who came into the condo and cooked meals for us daily. This brought such a large amount of relaxation to us as for two meals a day we were not trying to gather up 8 people and find a place to eat or cook. His meals were top shelf from the home made sauces to the entrées to the fresh drinks he made for each meal. The mid week deep clean of the condo was perfect as well. Three ladies came in and performed the work with a quickness and perfection. The views from the condo and location to the beach could not of been any better along with separate AC's in each of the rooms to make all of us happy with our own desired sleeping temps. I had not been to Cancun in over 20 year. They have made a lot of great changes to the hotel zone and the city, we are looking forward to going back soon."

This is #2 of 6 villas at Isla Retreats that was completed in May of 2017. It is upscale, tastefully decorated, and fully furnished with everything you will need for your stay. We pride ourselves on truly being a "retreat" - a place to unwind, relax and enjoy.

Villa #2 is a one bedroom unit with a king size bed and a bathroom. There is a mini-refrigerator, microwave and coffeepot. This unit is similar to a hotel room.

Luxury furnishings include a Smart TV, marble counter tops and marble floors, and remote control air conditioning in each room. High speed WiFi Internet is included. All of our Villas have king size beds. We provide beach towels, bath towels, high quality linens, hair dryer, and iron/ironing board for your use. There is an in-room programmable safe to store your valuables and passports.

Villa #1 can be rented along with Villa #2 as a two bedroom unit or individually. Villa #1 is a one bedroom unit with a king size bed, a full bathroom, living room, dining room and full kitchen. Isla Retreats is located five minutes from El Centro and Playa Norte, past the airport and just past the college, Bachilleros. It is within easy biking distance to the main beach, Playa Norte, as well as to all the attractions in town. You can take a low cost cab ride, or you can rent a golf cart or a scooter to explore the town, where the banks, ATM’s, shopping, bars, restaurants and live music are located. Transportation is not needed here, but is recommended if you wish to explore the extended area on your own. If you want to stay in the neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle of town, Isla Retreats is located within walking distance to many great restaurants: Rosa Sirena's, Aurora, Mango Cafe, Caribbean Brisas, Kash Keken Chuc, just to name a few. It is also located three blocks from the main grocery store on the island, Chedraui.

Villa Coralina, a spacious three-bedroom villa, offers magnificent views of the Caribbean Sea and the world’s second longest barrier reef. It is one of the few beachfront homes in this area. Newly renovated, it sits in a small, gated complex with just 6 other homes, an infinity pool, and a secure off-street parking lot. Being nestled between 2 deluxe resorts also enhances the feeling of being in a safe, luxury area. A knowledgeable bi-lingual property manager will assist you as necessary with information about local activities and culture or with any need that may arise during your stay .

Villa Coralina features travertine floors, stairs and bathrooms as well as furniture custom-made by local craftsmen. Beautiful curved stairs lead you to the three spacious upstairs bedrooms, each with en suite bathrooms. The master bedroom includes a queen-sized bed, and wall-mounted wide-screen tv. Off this bedroom is a spacious walk-in closet with a double shower and double sinks in its adjoining bathroom. A second bedroom offers a king sized bed. French doors in both of these bedrooms open to private balconies with expansive views of the ocean, perfect for watching the sun rise with morning coffee. The third bedroom has two sets of bunk beds and looks over the luscious gardens of the complex.

Downstairs offers a fully-equipped gourmet kitchen and spacious living area. The kitchen, with granite counters and a breakfast bar, includes stainless appliances, filtered water and ice dispenser in the refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, garbage disposal, oven, and stove top. A family room has a built-in office area as well as a mounted 65-inch television. The living and family rooms open to private patios and the sound of the ocean.

The entire villa is decorated throughout with quality Mexican handicrafts including a large tree-of-life sculpture, fanciful alebrije wooden animals, Mexican tin work, and custom hand-wrought iron, many commissioned for the space.

Walking just twenty minutes along the beach leads to the charming and picturesque village of Puerto Morelos. Thanks to the progressive zoning and careful development, it remains as one of the last true Mexican fishing villages on the Mayan Riviera. From its tilted lighthouse, town square, and quaint Catholic church, it is a one-of-a-kind place. Local residents will welcome you to the town square for frequent festivals and music events. Stroll the narrow streets of the village to find restaurants and outdoor bars serving local and international cuisine or tiny shops and markets offering locally made crafts and gifts.

The location of the villa is ideal. It is an easy 20-minute drive from the Cancun airport. Just off the beach is the second longest reef in the world and snorkeling trips can easily be arranged from the beach. Playa del Carmen and its lively 5th Avenue is a 30-minute drive away. You can learn about the ancient Mayan civilization at the ruins of Tulum, Coba, and Chichen Itza, each an easy day-trip away. You may also explore the area’s many cenotes or head south to Akumal where you can enjoy snorkeling amongst tropical fish, sea turtles or dolphins. Golfers will find easy access to several nearby courses.

- "Great place to stay. Wonderful house, views and pool. Pilar was extremely helpful in arranging all our transportation and any issues we had. She was also there to greet us and to say good bye. Ward the property manager was also extremely helpful answering any questions we had. All and all we had 1 issue but both were very helpful in trying to take care of it. We will definitely stay again." - "We spent a week here with our 4 children ages 18 - 24 and had an absolutely wonderful time. The inside of this unit is even bigger than it looks in the pictures, we were amazed when we walked in. The rooms were really clean and despite seeing a review about bugs, we honestly never saw a single one. The property has a private parking lot with an automatic gate and the grounds are very well maintained. Pilar (the property manager) is an absolute delight. I was in touch with her a few weeks in advance of our trip (via WhatsApp) and was able to pre-arrange some details of our stay. Our flight arrived on the late side and by the time we had the rental car and made the 35 min trip to the property, it was well after dark. Pilar was there waiting for us, showed us around the property and the unit and then suggested some local places to go eat. We didn't need to ask her much throughout our trip, but for the few questions we had, she was always very prompt to answer them. It was very nice to have a local to run things by - she knows the area very well and has connections for any activity/chef/etc you could need. The unit is fantastic, beautiful art and plenty of amenities - even a refrigerator that gets it's water from 5 gallon bottles (of which they were well-stocked). The pool is so great to have and we spent a lot of time there, only footsteps from the unit and the beach (where you can take great walks in either direction. The little town of Puerto Morelos is a quick 10 min drive and has many great places to eat and drink. There is a great grocery store a block off the square and a farmer’s market on Wednesdays---you won't need for much more. We will definitely return!"

We are located at the residential area of the island so you can be sure you will be able to relax... No tourist noise and bars around but close enough for you to drive in a golf car to a nice restaurant or fun bar... We see Dolphins and turtles swim by often.

The home is located in the gated community of Los Naranjos, with 24 hour security, in the town of Alfredo V. Bonfil. Our Property Manager can met you on the way home to guide you to our home! We recommended to rent a car or hire private transportation, uber is not legal in Cancun and there is not walking distance public transportation/stores.
It´s only 8 min by car from the airport, 10 min Cumbres Shopping center (Supermarket, cinemas, pharmacy, etc),15-20 min beaches and hotel zone, 50 min Playa del Carmen and Xcaret.

- "Unit as pictured. We did not cook in kitchen, but there appeared to be sufficient pans etc. for cooking. It was nice that the rental had a sufficient supply of potable water. We did not use the pool as it was a bit chilly for our personal taste, but it appeared clean. View from penthouse balcony is beautiful as pictured. This unit is a 30-minute walk down the beach to some of our favorite restaurants. At night we would taxi, they charged us anywhere from 140 to 180 pesos each way. I appreciated the owners help with providing taxi service numbers and was able to pre book trips to the airport, Playa Del Carmen and Cenotes. TV, internet and AC worked well. We really enjoyed the AC off and opening the sliding door to listen to the ocean and the ocean breeze."

We are very excited about our project, Isla Retreats, that we completed in May 2017. Our main goal for Isla Retreats is to provide an adults only, tranquil and unique Caribbean-Mexican experience. Guests can get away from the hustle-bustle of downtown and everyday life to relax and savor the lovely island. We designed the common area to create a peaceful ambience featuring a salt-water pool with waterfalls, beach chairs and umbrellas, tropical gardens and an exquisite palapa. We wanted to keep as much green-space as possible, so we designed the property with many tropical plants and coconut trees. There are many extraordinary hand-carved marble and onyx sculptures throughout the property as well.

Isla Retreats is located five minutes from downtown and Playa Norte, at the beginning of the safe and charming neighborhood, Salina Chica, just past the airport and the college, Bachilleres. Within walking distance, you will find a tennis and basketball court, many local stores, grocery stores and places to buy fresh juice, fruits and vegetables. It is easy to catch a taxi in front of the property to go downtown or to the beach. Parking is available for golf carts as well. Isla Retreats is private, yet close to downtown where you will find many shops, restaurants, bars and live music. If you want to stay in the neighborhood and not go to town, Isla Retreats is located within walking distance to many popular restaurants: Rosa Sirena's, Aurora, Mango Cafe, Caribbean Brisas, Kash Keken Chuc and Green Verde, to name a few. We are located three blocks from the main grocery store on the island, Chedruai, which includes a number of important food items, a bakery, a nice selection of wines and liquors.

Our saltwater pool is only for guests staying at Isla Retreats and Casa de Katy. To keep the grounds quiet, safe and private, we do not allow use of the pool by people who are not staying at Isla Retreats or Casa de Katy. You can enjoy the sounds of the waterfall while sitting by the pool or under the palapa. The palapa and pool area are perfect for coffee and fresh orange juice in the morning, and cocktails in the evenings - or anytime!

There are 6 villas at Isla Retreats. All are upscale, tastefully decorated, and fully furnished with everything you will need for your stay. All villas have smart TVs and high speed WiFi Internet. We provide beach towels and bath towels, high quality linens, a hair dryer, and iron/ironing board for your use. There is an in-room safe to store your valuables and passports. Housekeeping (daily or as requested) is available at no extra charge (tips are appreciated!). There is on-site staff available to accommodate our guests in setting up golf cart rentals and other activities.

Villa #4 is a one bedroom unit with a king size bed and a bathroom. There is a mini-refrigerator, microwave and coffeepot - similar to a hotel room. Villa #4 can be rented with Villa #3 as a two bedroom Villa or as an individual unit.
