This 2-bedroom, 2-bath Vacation home is fully furnished: complete kitchen and dining room; a queen size master bed; a queen bed and a twin size bed in the guestroom; a family room with queen-size sofa-bed; (sleeps a maximum of 6 people), 3 flat screen cable TV’s; a wrap-around screened balcony; and your own washer and dryer in the laundry room.

The ground floor is the utility room with a washer and dryer and storage area. A set of exterior stairs brings you up to enter the main entrance door to the villa on the first floor (dining room, kitchen and screened in balcony), there is an interior spiral staircase the brings you to the second floor (living room, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and wet bar). We do not have any elevators on the property.

Marathon is the Heart of the Florida Keys! Go deep-sea or back country fishing, sailing, diving and snorkeling, and then finish your day at one of the many restaurants nearby. Key West, with its colorful history, shopping galore, is 54 miles south.

At least one person in the group must be 25 years old or older. Maximum occupancy is 6 people per villa including all children. No day visitors are allowed. We are a small property and only registered guest may enjoy the amenities.

The resort property is located directly on the beach on the Atlantic Ocean. The front 4 units are considered “Beach Front” units (most expensive). The next 6 units are “Palm Court” villas (a little less expensive). The next 8 units are “Key Lime Grove” villas (best value) and the last 2 units “Tropical Island" villas (least expensive) are overlooking the tennis court and are a short walk to the beach and pool area.

My wife was impressed by the towel quality, I liked the dock layout as we brought a boat, and the kids liked the aquarium like wildlife that constantly swam around in the very clear water of the canal. The kitchen was stocked with just enough for meal preparation. The beds and linens were all comfortable and of reasonable quality. A/c blows cold but as others commented is kind of noisy in the back bedroom near its closet. I recommend a sound machine or a fan. Great spot! Thanks!"

- "We had a great time during our stay. Staff was friendly and super accommodating. Place was clean. They also cleaned and raked the beach multiple times during the week to remove seaweed. A couple of areas i would recommend improving. We did get splinters from the deck and would like to see them sanded. Also, be careful near the stairs. I did cut my head when I was reaching for a suitcase under the stairs. Most corners had padding but unfortunatly the higher one was not. I would also recommend covering the glass table corners as they are sharp, especially if you have small children. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend staying here. My children esspecially loved the pool and hot tub. Also, plenty of activities to do in Marathon."

This listing is for a KEY LIME GROVE villa (Units #11 or #12 or #13 or #14 or #15 or #17 or #19 or #20), at Coco Plum Beach & Tennis Club & Marina. Not a view of the ocean, but only a 3-4-minute walk to the beach, pool & Atlantic Ocean and jacuzzi. We do not specify exact villa number until day of arrival.

We do not allow and motorized water toys on our beach, this includes all Boats and jet skis and anything with a motor.

On the first floor, we have a sofa that turns into a queen sized bed so that guests can have that additional comfort.

The Space

Walk through the front door and your eye is immediately pulled outside into the amazing tropical environment. Our villa features a large, lovely and private coral-stone patio and deep plunge pool overlooking a stunning aquamarine canal.

Downstairs is the fully-equipped open-plan kitchen with stainless steel appliances (including a dishwasher), a Keurig / drip coffeemaker and everything else you’ll need to prepare a great meal. The kitchen leads to a handy powder room, a formal dining table and living space with a 55-inch Smart TV and big three-seater sofa that folds out into a queen bed.

A carpeted stairway leads upstairs to both bedrooms. One overlooks the canal and features a queen sized bed, flat-screen Smart TV, an ample closet and a full en-suite bathroom. The other bedroom has a queen bed, flat-screen Smart TV and walk-in closet and French doors opening onto a cute covered porch. An additional full bath is off the hallway.

Guest Access

The entire house, private outdoor patio and side yard are yours to enjoy, and there’s plenty of free unassigned parking just outside the villa. Hawks Cay rules limit two vehicles per villa and do not permit trailers in any of the public parking areas. Slips and trailer space can be rented at the Duck Key Marina. Main entry will be via the front door and you will receive a code for the keypad just before you’re due to check in. (You must not, under any circumstances, share this code with anyone.)

Please note that our villa is privately owned, so you won’t have access to any of Hawks Cay’s pools or the Coral Cay kid’s club. But you can still partake in amazing public amenities such as Dolphin Connection, a full-service marina, the resort’s several waterfront restaurants and bars, the Calm Waters Spa and even visit the resort’s fitness center (access available to spa patrons). Water sports enthusiasts can also enjoy parasailing trips and fishing charters and easily rent boats, kayaks and paddle boards. Please note that there is no dockage at the house itself. Please contact either the Hawks Cay Marina or the Duck Key Marina for availability. They're both minutes from the cottage.

Other Things
We will offer a full refund to our guests if a hurricane evacuation is required and/or suggested for our area. However, we will not provide a refund for inclement weather, nor for bad weather associated with hurricanes. If you are concerned about hurricanes ruining your stay, we recommend purchasing additional travel insurance and/or booking during non-hurricane season.

We are year-round residents of the Keys and are always a text or phone call away. Right before your stay, we will send along the Conch Cottage Manual, which will contain Allegra and Michael’s telephone numbers, as well as additional emergency numbers, lists of things to do and other helpful information.

While we stock our villa with some very handy starter-essentials (extra towels, a couple of coffee, laundry and dishwasher pods and one roll of paper towels, for example), please understand that our home is not a hotel and our guests will be responsible for making any replenishments beyond what we've provided.

This property does not have access to Hawks Cay Resort amenities and the Resort does not provide day passes to access Resort grounds. Please note the Villa is located in front of a resort pool, which is not available for our guests. However, the Marina with fishing charters and watersports, Salt + Ash, and Angler & Ale Restaurants, the Cafe, Dolphin Connection and Calm Waters Spa are open to public at additional costs purchased through Hawks Cay. The Spa also sells daily passes for gym usage. Reservations are required for the Salt + Ash restaurant.

There are no groceries stores in Duck Key. The closest market is a small market at Grassy Key Marina (2.5 miles south) and Publix in Marathon (11 miles south). Instacart is available for groceries to be delivered directly to the villa. Recommendation is to shop at Publix Supermarket in Islamorada or Marathon on your way to Duck key. Also, the Trading Post in Islamorada is a full-service deli and grocery store and it is opened 24 hours a day.

To prepare for your Keys pursuits, a local land line phone and welcome brochure are at your fingertips. The phone may be used to make calls to anywhere in the US at no charge.
