The outside is just amazing. We lived outside by the pool. I was up early most mornings with the baby and got to see some amazing sunrises from the porch! In Marathon, we ate at Island Fish Company, Burdines, Sunset Grille, and Sparky’s Landing. All were great! The coffee at Curly’s is really good (and they have a drive thru). Kids had a blast at the Turtle Hospital. We got up early one morning and spent the day in Key West, which I highly recommend! So much fun and not a bad drive at all! Our favorites in KW were the Hemingway House and Butterfly Conservatory. We also did a snorkeling excursion in Islamadora that was amazing. Saw more fish than we did when snorkeling in Jamaica. Even got to swim with nurse sharks! So many memories made. We can’t wait to come back. Coco Plum Paradise is perfection, and Lori and Greg are wonderful to work with!"

The home is open, bright, and warm. New leather sectional sofa with 3 recliner (2018). Better then my own home! You can watch all the movies on a high definition 65 inch flat screen T.V. with surround sound. Kitchen area has a desk area where you can connect your computer to High Speed wireless internet (Fee Wifi) for those days where you just got to get some work done. The master bedroom has a king size bed (firm memory foam mattress), flat screen TV, and small private bathroom. The second bedroom sleeps 4 with one queen, top twin XL bunk on top, and twin XL trundle at bottom. Master has streaming T.V. . The home is on a deep canal ocean side (no issue for large boats), 75 foot private concrete dock with electricity and water. Rental includes dockage for ONE large boat. Boat lift on property is not available for renters. The home also has a chain link fence giving you peace of mind that outdoor toys are secure as well as security camera on boat slip area and front parking/entrance (although not needed, its very safe here). Note, no other security cameras as your privacy is respected. You can relax on the hammock under the coconut palms trees while the others in your party clean the catch of the day on our large fish cleaning table with it's own knife sharpener. Home is walking distance to everything you can need (deli, liquor store, movie theater, Kmart, Winn Dixie, Publix, Walgreens, Home Depot, and Park! Although Marathon is located about midway on the keys chain, it has just about anything you would need during your stay, including marathon airport (charter flights from Miami) and hospital in case you need medical attention during your stay. Key west is just a 45 minutes away. One of the best surprises when i bought this home was Sombrero Beach. This beach is only 5 minutes away by car and maybe 15 minute bike ride. Sombrero beach has white sand, coconut palms, private clean bathrooms, two volleyball courts, children play area with grass, barbecue grills and picnic tables, and the beautiful view of the ocean. A must visit. My teen (adult now) use to love marathon community park, which has its own X-tream skateboard park . This park has four tennis courts, a tennis wall, a combination hockey/basketball court (3 courts), two little league fields, and two soccer fields. There is also, two shuffleboard courts, two bocce ball courts, a batting cage, concession stand, amphitheater, picnic areas, and restrooms. Also, your teen will love to try out the cable wake boarding park! If you want to take a dip in a pool just go to sunset grill and raw bar where they have one of the largest pool in the keys overlooking the ocean at the seven mile bridge (free). Watch the sunset from here while at the bar listening to margaritaville. Enjoy some of the best fishing and diving available in the world. Sombrero reef is 4.5 miles away from our dock. It offers a spectacular reef and is just minutes away by boat ride. The seven mile bridge is probably the premiere location for the greatest game fish in Florida waters, the tarpon. The best part is that you will get top quality at a rate that can’t be beaten.

Lemon Key Cottage is located on a deep water (12’) canal only 5 homes from the ocean. So, bring your own boat and tie up to our 60’ lighted dock with electrical outlets. (We can dock non-rental boats up to 27' LOA with 'prior to booking' permission.) Our canal contains a variety of fish species especially Mangrove Snapper and bait fish like mullet and pilchards. Feel free to use the provided fishing poles to catch dinner off the dock. Use small hooks baited with shrimp or squid and fish under the dock or boats for some decent snappers. Throw a cast net and see what you catch. A lighted fish cleaning station is provided with a wash down hose. You can see the occasional predator fish at night around the dock. There’s a bait fish cage available. Snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding or flats fishing is accessible right at the end of the canal. If diving is your thing you'll find some of the best dive spots minutes from our dock. Occasionally, our canal is visited by Manatees, so be careful when operating watercraft.

The canal empties into the ocean through a flats area. Our flats are an amazing aquarium of ocean life. Do yourself a favor and take the two provided tandem kayaks through these waters to see a plethora of sea life. From our canal, you can reach the Gulf by taking Vaca Cut, which is less than a 5 minute boat ride.

We purchased Lemon Key Cottage in July of 2012. We made additions and renovations including; the heated pool with fiber optic night lights, landscaping and outdoor lighting, hurricane shutters, utility improvements, kitchen appliances, davit and dock improvements, 4 - Flat panel TVs, wireless high speed internet, and various cosmetic enhancements.

Unlike some other vacation rental homes, we decided to stock all the general necessities of home so that others can immediately start enjoying their vacation without running to the grocery store to buy paper products, trash bags, and hand soap.

The home is ~ 1400sq ft of central air conditioned living space with 2 bedrooms , 3 full baths, kitchen, living room, dining room, family room, laundry room, and a screen enclosed lanai. The kitchen is fully equipped including pots, pans, toaster, coffee maker, plates, silverware, the very important blender, and much more. Linen closet includes all bedding sheets/blankets, bath & pool towels. Many renters comment how much they enjoy our plush wall-to-wall carpeting in the bedrooms as it's much more cozy and 'knee' friendly compared to cold, hard tile/marble floors. Should you wish to grill your catch of the day outdoors, there is a Weber Grill waiting for you master chefs.

Our neighbors are full time residents that you’ll enjoy meeting. Neighbor Paul is a commercial fisherman of lobsters and stone crab. Usually, you can watch him clean his catch each night at the dock. Paul's wife, Danielle, owns the floral store in town and caters weddings. Neighbor Freida owns a local hotel and dives frequently for lobsters on her free time. You can imagine the seafood recipes that these guys have! Neighbor Cori is a marine biologist, and she is working hard to preserve and build our coral reefs in the Keys.

Lovey 1/1 waterfront home up on concrete stilts with parking for 2 vehicles. My favorite is our 32ft patio with amazing breath taking views of the ocean, very cozy inviting floor plan with a huge kitchen and washer/dryer. Wake up to beautiful sunrise every morning. Our place has a 30ft dock with boat ramp right within the community grounds. Minutes away from beaches and walking distance from shopping centers. The community has Clubhouse and Picnic area with views of the ocean.

Very friendly neighborhood. This is a Fishermen paradise. We are located less than an hour to the historic Key West. Historic sites close by and state parks within minutes. Museums less then 2 miles, Great restaurants in the area and much more.

This studio is a ground-level with a 16 ft wall of windows opening to the harbor. It has granite counters, contemporary cabinets and a beautiful California King size bed with 100% cotton bedding. The kitchen is well equipped. There is a dining table with seating for 3. A large leather loveseat invites you to retire to after dinner and enjoy the flatscreen TV and Bamboo shades on the sliding glass doors tuck you in for the night. The bathroom has a full size tiled tub/shower, granite top vanity.

There are numerous spots on the property to sit and relax, read a book, or have a glass of wine and a chat. Quiet and peaceful. There are beautiful surroundings almost everywhere you look. You can watch the sunrise and sunset views. There is deep water dockage for multiple boats and water toys out your back door. Golf out your front door. Dining, shopping, and entertainment are just minutes away. Sombrero Beach a short drive away and Bahia Honda a short 15-minute drive across the beautiful 7-mile bridge. This property is located close to everything or “a world away”, as you choose. An ideal vacation gathering place!

The property has ample private parking in front of the house. Across the street, there is a gravel parking area that is on a 1st come basis. The backyard has a table for 6 for alfresco dining and a large grill to prepare the catch of the day. The property boasts 100 ft of sea wall with four boat slips. Each slip having shore power and water. Two boat slips will accommodate up to 50 ft boats. The two other slips will accommodate up to 36 ft boats. There is a fish cleaning table and water at the docks as well as an outdoor shower and outdoor bait freezer. Bring your own boats and enjoy the great location. The breezeway offers a table and two comfy chairs to enjoy a cool shady spot. You will also find a full bath with shower for convenience when spending time outdoors and the laundry facilities are right next to it.
