A beautiful cottage is awaiting you on Grassy Key. Built in the original Keys architecture, the cottage is free standing with windows on all sides. The efficiency holds true to its name as it is small, but very functional. Being a stone's throw away from the ocean you can enjoy partial ocean views from your bed on the west and from your dining table on the east. It offers everything you need for a good night's sleep, a refreshing shower and a good breakfast before you start your day in tropical paradise.

After a day full of adventures don't forget to relax at our oceanfront tiki and hammock. From here there is no telling what wildlife might amaze you. If marveling at the beauty of the ocean from the shore doesn't satisfy your fascination for the ocean, then treat yourself to an outing on one of our kayaks. Head for the nearby rock ruins and be prepared to see many dazzling fish.

In our neighborhood, Tursi, Gambit and friends are waiting to put on a show for you at the Dolphin Research Center. Home to Flipper in the 60's, DRC is located 1/4 of a mile from the property.

One mile south of us is Curry Hammock State Park. Ten miles north is Long Key State Park. Both have wonderful ocean access and trails.

Three miles out to sea is marker 45, a nice place to fish mangrove and yellowtail snappers, and a few more miles South is Coffin's Patch Reef, a delightful protected area to dive or snorkel. Both locations are a few minutes away by boat from the property.

These are merely suggestions in addition to all the wonderful things that are yours to discover throughout the Florida Keys.

We snorkeled and waded right in front of the property and saw dolphins cruising by each morning at sunrise. The AC worked great and we had ample comfort to relax watching TV on the rainy days. The location was perfect as it was close to everything, we never had to drive far to go shopping, boating, snorkeling, beach, etc. The owners were very nice and accommodating, keeping contact with us throughout. Mile Marker 50.3 on the island of Marathon. The style of our home is a ground level classic Conch home featuring just a couple steps both in the front entrance and out to the deck/dock area. This is a feature that has all but disappeared on our islands due to building codes therefore it is one of the few making it great for both children and seniors not to mention not having to carry everything up and down a flight of stairs. That was one of our primary reasons for opening our vacation rental at this location and speaking of locations we are located in in the middle of everything. A direct access canal to the Great Atlantic and minutes to the beach, transit service, shopping and fine dining. Being in the middle of our island chain makes easy to take advantage of exploring all our beautiful islands from a central location. Our home has been extensively updated and is absolutely beautiful and we look forward to welcoming back both old and new friends that suffer from the need to enjoy all the many beauties, relaxations, and warmth the Fl. Keys has to offer for all ages. As you can see we are already booking for the winter seasons and we have some wonderful weeks open plus once again they are calling for a early long cold winter so we hope to hear from you all soon if you are thinking of coming down to play by the sea in the sun. We love to welcome our guests with our lovely island decore!
Our island hide away is a 3 bedroom, 2 full bath, ground level duplex home that features 50 foot of furnished dock which includes a six person spa tub and gas grill. Our dock also has the convienance of a step down feature for easy loading and unloading of your boat and is on a direct access canal to the Great Atlantic. We invite one and all to enjoy the beautiful water of the Keys when coming to boat fish and dive however please keep in mind that neither the Atlantic or Gulf waters are like any lakes you may be an accomplished sportsman on. They both require an experienced and safety minded boater to navigate it’s many obstacles, sand bars and remember a free online open water ocean safe boater courses are available and recommended for both old and new boaters before venturing out on what we call “The Big Water”

Our home features tile floors throughout the living room,lanai and kitchen areas with carpeted bedrooms. Our bedrooms have a king bed in the master, queen bed in one guest room and full bed in the other.
Our master bedroom has a beautiful screened in furnished lanai to relax on over looking the canal and it's bath features a seated shower encloser. The guest bath has both shower and tub which is located off main living room area.
You will love our kitchen which features a extra large refrigerator freezer,dishwasher,micro wave, electric stove with oven, coffee pot, 4 slice toaster, air fryer and instapot/slow cooker along with Rachel Ray cookware, fully stocked spice rake and round dining table with rectangular dining out on the deck. Enjoy setting the table either in the house or on the dock with our beautiful island tableware even if you did just call one of our many fine dining establishments for carry out. However, if you do choose to cook it's all there for you to use.

There are so many ways to arrive on our islands so may we just suggest a few:
You may want to fly into Ft. Myers and consider taking the four hour cruise across the beautiful Gulf of Mexico on the Fast Cat which runs out of Ft. Myers Beach to Key West. Everyone agrees this is a wonderful way to arrive and the view is breath taking as you zip along with the dolphins where the water meets the sky.
However you may also choose to fly into either Miami or Key West where rental cars are available or if you choose not to do the driving you may catch the Keys shuttle or coach service to our lovely island hide away.
Once you are on our island chain, we now have our new public shuttle service which allows you to island hop in both direction for as little as $3.00 round trip. This allows you to relax and enjoy all the islands of the fabulous Flordia Keys and Yes, we do still have our local cab service that will take you and your guest anywhere on our island of Marathon for the small fee of $10.00 a trip per car load.

Our Bayfront hideaway cottage is located in the middle Keys on a small island called 'Conch Key', and offers some of the best sailing in the Gulf anywhere in the Keys. Great location as it was only about a 5 minute drive into Marathon, 20 minute drive to Islamorada, and a little under an hour to Key West. Nice pool, nice little private beach area, and boat ramp/dock. The house was older and needs a little tlc but all in all it was clean and everything worked as it should and had everything we needed except toilet paper. We had a great time staying there and would definately stay there again."

We have a lovely oceanside cottage in Marathon Key, Florida, close to everything with hidden amenities. The cottage has a large yard and plenty of room to park boats, RVs, and wave runners. This modernized cottage is for you if you all need a great place to stay. This quaint and cozy home offers good value and features new furniture and brand-new state-of-the-art stainless steel appliances. There is one bedroom and a pull-out queen-size sofa bed. This is a very nice couples retreat or command center for serious fishing and diving activities. There are two large OLED Samsung flat screen TV's and plenty of streaming services. We even have a washer and dryer in the home.

The home is minutes from all the major attractions in Marathon, like Sombrero Beach (2.2 miles), Marathon Dog Park, boat ramps (2.7 miles), Bahia Honda State Park, the Seven Mile Bridge, Pigeon Key, Crane Point Hammock, Nature Center, The Turtle Hospital, Dolphin Research Center, and The Aquarium. Marathon is in the middle Keys, and it is very common for people to stay and make day and dinner trips to Key West.

The home comes with kayaks that you can launch at many nearby destinations. We even have an optional 40-foot boat dock at The Boat House Marina that you can use - based on availability. Because the dock rents independently, you must confirm the spot in advance. So, that means you can trailer down, launch your boat and hook up to shore power at the marina, which is only 2.4 miles away.

Custom concrete pool with sun ledge, and patio area leads out to the approximately 76 foot TREX Deck dock. The home is located less than 1000 ft from the public boat launch, so this is the most convenient vacation rental for boaters in all of Marathon.I personally love key west when i was in my 20s... Marathon is where i like to be. I have owned vacation rentals in Marathon since 2005. I rented vacation homes from others here before 2005... and was always disappointed in the condition of the homes. I thought... "I can do better"

Located at Mile Marker 63, on Conch Key, the location is convenient to all Keys attractions: Key West, MM zero, State Parks, Museums, shopping, snorkeling and diving, and some of the best fishing in the world.

The space
The 2 bedroom Conched Out, and the Treetop addition are rented as a unit. The property has 1 King size bed, 2 queen size beds and a futon couch with a full kitchen. There are two bathrooms. The property is on the Bay, right on the water, with docks for kayak use and fishing. The best sunsets in the Keys!
