Do not recommending walking around after dark. Take Uber to downtown Delray. And be careful with pulling in and out of driveway. The bushes around the property are great for privacy but make it very hard to see cars or people when leaving the driveway. "

I want to mention also this place was VERY clean & well kept. Beautiful landscaping and plants to enjoy in either courtyard. Daniel communicated clearly and promptly and even stayed up late to greet me upon my arrival. Everything you need for laundry is included in this home including a high-quality LG washing machine and dryer to get your clothes properly clean, an iron and ironing board, detergent, fabric softener, bleach, Bounce dryer sheets and more.

We allow up to 2 (well-behaved) dogs. Sorry, no cats. The whole property is fully-fenced to allow them to safely roam, front or back. There is a doggie water fountain in yard and a poop bag cleanup station so please pick up after your pet. And of course, please be careful in house and clean up and accidents. In chest, there are doggie covers for couch.

OUTDOOR SHOWER with hot & cold water to rinse off after a day at the beach. You may use our beach towels, 4 beach chairs, 3 boogie boards, 5 sets of snorkeling equipment, children's sand shovels and beach toys.

Walking to distance to an excellent French bakery and the oldest bar in Delray. Very tidy and well kept. All the latest gadgets in this vintage home including; Nest thermostat, smart TVs, strong wifi, and a Ring security system.
The space
Grab the beach chairs and talk a short walk over George Bush historic bridge for a day on the beach. Enjoy coffee and pastries from the French bakery or have a night cap at the Sail Inn. You can also walk to a 7-Eleven, a Publix, and many boutique shops.

- "Very well maintained house. There was a leak in the hot water tank that was immediately taken care of. It was just the home we needed!" - "It smelled of mold. Bulb burnt out in bedroom. Pealing paint in bathroom walls and tub. Not mat for tub/shower. Paint stains on floor. Steep stairs at both entries with no rails. Dead plants, no dining table. Poor TV Reception. Insufficient seating in living room " - "We enjoyed our week in this cute house. The two bedrooms plus large living room space were perfect for us. Kitchen is nice — new appliances. Bathroom is a bit small and dated, but no other issues with the property. Used the beach chairs that were provided. There is some noise from businesses in the vicinity, but that didn’t bother us. Would stay here again!"

- "⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️" - "Really friendly , clean. Had 90% of everything listed. Property needs some minor work, with staying at. Owners are understanding and easy to work with." - "If you like hot water in your VRBO, this is not the place for you. I contacted the host (Dee) the evening of check in to let her know that there was not hot water. She told me she would handle it in the morning. In a nutshell, we still did not have hot water the next night and were told it would be the next day. The host said not having hot water was an “inconvenience”. Details are below. In the morning (after check in) she told me that someone would come out to fix it and that they needed to check for a gas leak. This is documented in a text. She mentioned several times that this cost her $200. I was told that it would be “perfect” by 4:30 pm. There was no hot water at 4:30 or 5:30 or later. My elderly mother and I went to a family dinner without showering. Dee and I agreed (and this is documented) that she would let me know by 7 pm if someone had fixed the issue and that we would have hot water by 8 pm or we would receive a refund. The host stopped returning my texts and did not answer my call. Through VRBO she told me it would be fixed the next day (so another day of no hot water). She also told me that not having hot water was merely an “inconvenience” and did not seem to understand why I would be uncomfortable in this situation. All of this is documented but the host has accused me of lying, implying that my concern about them checking for a gas leak was unnecessary. Otherwise, the house is very clean, the photos are accurate and it is on a nice street."

11.) Management & Maintenance: This property is privately owned but managed by AirLuxe Management. We will address any major equipment or appliance issues during normal business hours. Refunds or price adjustments cannot be issued for maintenance issues; however, we will work diligently to resolve problems as quickly as possible.

11.) Management & Maintenance: This property is privately owned but managed by AirLuxe Management. We will address any major equipment or appliance issues during normal business hours. Refunds or price adjustments cannot be issued for maintenance issues; however, we will work diligently to resolve problems as quickly as possible.
12.) No Refunds for Service Interruptions: Refunds will not be issued for issues outside our control, such as weather, early check-out, or maintenance interruptions. In cases of severe property damage or property sale, AirLuxe Management reserves the right to substitute this accommodation with similar or superior lodging nearby, if available.
13.) Customer Support: Any issues should be reported to us within 24 hours. During business hours, our team is available to address guest requests and will prioritize emergencies such as AC issues, water leaks, infestations, emergencies, power outages, and access problems. Only emergencies will be responded to between 5 PM and 9 AM. Non-emergency after-hours service calls may incur fees if a staff member attends the property.
14.) Lost and Found: Any lost and found items left at the home (if found) will be kept for 30 days. After 30 days, items are donated.
15.) Lawn Service: The lawn is serviced and there will be someone coming in the backyard to do this. They must be allowed to enter.
16.) Pest Service: Pest Control is serviced and there will be someone coming in the backyard to do this. They must be allowed to enter.

18.) Wildlife: Due to Florida`s subtropical climate, critters like palmetto bugs and small lizards are common and do not indicate a cleanliness or infestation issue. We take proactive measures, including monthly pest control treatments, to keep these out of your space, but occasional sightings may still happen, especially in warm or rainy weather. By booking, guests agree that the appearance of native wildlife does not impact the cleanliness, safety, or enjoyment of their stay and cannot affect the property rating. Our team is always available to address any concerns as quickly as possible. Thank you for your understanding!
19.) This property is located near active train tracks, and passing trains may occasionally be heard during your stay. This is a normal part of the area and is fully disclosed prior to booking. The bed is a very comfortable murphy bed with a dream sleep queen size mattress where you can rest your eyes and sleep well for tomorrow's adventure. Cabana Beach Service: We want your journey to the beach to be as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. Therefore included with your stay is access to cabana service through membership to Oceanside Beach Service. Just show up, show your pass, and you will be lounging in no time.

Getting to the Beach: We are just 1.23 miles to the beach with many options besides a car to get you there within minutes! Door-to-door shuttle service via the FREEBEE App will pick you up and drop you off when you make a request through an Uber-like app. We also love riding bikes to the beach. You will find plenty of bike parking all around downtown and the beach to safely lock up your bike. Walking is another excellent option for those looking for a little exercise. On foot, the walk takes you through our lovely historical neighborhood, followed by our fun downtown filled with shops and restaurants. Approximately 25 minutes later, you will arrive at the beach to flop into the water and feel pleasantly refreshed. Of course, you can also drive, which takes less than 5 minutes.

The space
The Happy Mango Hideaway is a separate cottage set in a Key West style property in the sought after Historic Arts District of Old School Square. The new heated salt water pool is the perfect place to cool off in this tropical setting. The fence-in yard provides a safe and secure space for pets and children to play. The patio is furnished with comfortable seating and a new Weber grill, so you can enjoy outdoor meals and gatherings with friends and family.

The interior of the Hideaway is bright and spacious with plenty of natural light and stylish decor. The living room features comfortable seating and a flat-screen smart TV, perfect for movie nights or catching up on your favorite shows.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare meals, including a stove, oven, microwave, and refrigerator. The Happy Mango Hideaway has two bedrooms. The Main BR has a king sized bed, and the second is a sleeping alcove with 2 XL twin beds. The bathroom is entered via the Main BR. Outside, there is another enclosed shower with hot water and a rain shower head for guests' use.

We already did extensive deep cleaning and sanitization for every guest. We follow all Airbnb, and Centers for Disease Control Guidelines (CDC), relative to best practice for short and intermediate stay lodgings. We offer sanitizer, and soaps for your use during your stay.

BEDROOMS

The Happy Mango Hideaway offers two sleeping quarters, with premium mattresses, and a pull-out couch. Ideally suited for 1-4 adults in the two bedrooms, we can accommodate up to six (5) people with a child on the pull-out couch.

The Main bedroom is equipped with a full closet, night stands, large dresser and a desk/workspace and a Flat Screen Smart TV. Entrance to bathroom is through the Main Bedroom.

The Sleeping Alcove is a nook off of the dining area that has a curtain that can be drawn for privacy, nightstand with multi-port AC/USB boxes to hook up your small portable electronic devices, and full dresser.

BATHROOM

The Hideaway has one bathroom with a shower. We provide Molton Brown shampoo, bath gel, and conditioner. You’ll find suntan lotion, body lotion, and a few other essentials, in case you didn’t bring your own. Entrance to the bathroom is through the main bedroom

TV, WIFI, & TECHNOLOGY

Both TVs are 43” flat screen Roku Smart TVs connected to Xfinity (Cable TV). With Roku, guests have access to HBO® Max, Netflix®, Disney+®, Hulu®, AppleTV+®, Peacock®, Paramount+® and apps like YouTube® and Zillow®.

The Hideaway has it's own private ultra-high speed WIFI service for your phones, tablets and computers.

PARKING

Parking is off the alley behind the cottage- there is one spot available. At the end of the alley, is a parking lot within a park that can also be used if needed.
It is a nice, quiet neighborhood, with other options for street parking, and no restrictions, or resident permits. The main house driveway is not to be used without permission from the owner.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Pool:
Hours 7am-9pm
Guests are invited to enjoy the pool and the lounge chair areas. The pool is private for guests of the cottage. It sits between the cottage and the owners home. Owners do not use pool while guests are in cottage. Swimming is at your own risk. Children under 10 are expected to be accompanied by an adult. The pool is heated year-round. A signed waiver is required for use of pool.

Patio/BBQ:

There is a small Weber gas grill just for guests. There are 2 patios that are part of the guest quarters- one under the shade of a mango tree, one under the shade of Traveller Palms.


POLICIES/RULES

Our goal is to let you enjoy the space, with as much privacy, or interaction, as you prefer. These are our rules. Please be advised there are NO REFUNDS for a booking that management cancels, during your stay, for their violation. By booking, you agree that you have read, and fully understood, these policies.

COMMUNICATION

AirBnb requires all communications between hosts and guests to be via their direct messaging system. We cannot text you. Please feel free to ask us for anything, but we will ask you to also put all requests into Airbnb’s system as well. It’s part of Airbnb’s enhanced safety protocols, to protect all members of their platform.


NOISE

We are located in a quiet residential neighborhood of historic homes. On one side of the property is our neighbor- Pause Kava bar. It's open until 2AM and has an outdoor patio, so at times, you can hear voices. It's generally not enough to disturb you as there are Impact Windows and Mini Split systems in the cottage that drown out the noise, but you may hear from the patio. For the other neighbors in the area, we ask, kindly, that you do not talk loudly, or play music, or other noise, after 10:00p. OUTDOORS.

Indoors, we ask that you be respectful of other guests, and our neighbors, and refrain from use of loud devices.

If we have to remind you repeatedly, our managers may cancel, at their discretion, the remainder of your stay, and ask you to find other, more lifestyle-suitable accommodations, elsewhere. There will be NO REFUNDS, in part, or in whole, for any eviction due to a violation of our noise rules.

SMOKING/VAPING POLICY

You may smoke outdoors, on the patios. Ashtray can be provided on request.

There is absolutely NO SMOKING OR VAPING of any substances allowed in The Happy Mango Hideaway indoor spaces at any time.

If the rooms smell of smoke, you may be charged a $250.00 cleaning fee, within 48 hours of your departure, if we determine, to our own satisfaction, that the unit rented has smoke damage, and notify you of same.

Cigarette butts, or other smoking paraphernalia, left anywhere in our outdoor spaces will be assessed an $85.00 cleaning fee.

You agree, by booking, to be bound to these terms & conditions.

PET POLICY

We accept up to 2 WELL BEHAVED dogs under 40 lbs. Apologies, but no cats, reptiles, or exotics, please, due to allergies of the owners, and staff.

Please be sure to notify host before arrival if you plan to bring your dog.

PESTS POLICY

We are located in a tropical location. Bugs, rodents, iguanas, and other pests are part of the environment. We hire services to provide pest, and animal control. Contact us via Airbnb Messaging to report the issue. We will address any issue promptly. Contacting any of our owners, managers, or cast members, by other means IS NOT notification. You agree to allow us sufficient time to remediate the problem. Whether management, or you, decide that you must vacate the property, we will contact Airbnb customer service to find you alternative lodging. You agree, by booking, to a pro-rata refund for the unused days only.

FIREARMS POLICY

Firearms are NOT permitted on the property.


NUMBER IN PARTY NOTIFICATION/FOURTH PERSON POLICY

Maximum number of adult guests is FOUR (4) people. We can also accommodate two adults and three children (5 total) with our pull-out couch for one child. You are required, at booking, to notify Airbnb of the correct count.

The rate remains the same for parties up to four (4) people.

If your party changes in size beyond our four-person base-rate, even temporarily, overnight, you are required to notify us PRIOR to the first night’s stay where this will occur.

Failure to notify may forfeit the remainder of your booking, without refund, at the discretion of the management.

HURRICANE/SEVERE WEATHER POLICY

Florida is subject to hurricanes, tornadoes, tropical storms, water spouts, and other high-wind events. Hurricane season in Florida runs from June to November, with the peak months being August/September.

BOOKINGS IN HURRICANE SEASON (June-November):

They are RARE, but, if, at any time, The Happy Mango Hideaway is under a tropical storm/hurricane watch where the “incidence cone” is expected to remain focused on our geographic region, with projections of a category strength of one (1), or more:

• You have the option of cancelling the remainder of your stay, at no penalty to you, if we are within the published incidence cone, at seventy-two (72) hours prior to landfall;

• At forty-eight (48) hours prior to your arrival, if we remain in the incidence cone, we will, regretfully, have to cancel your booking. Our buildings are wood-frame/stucco, and not secure enough to be safe in a high-wind event.

Weather-related communications outages may impact our ability to contact you, but we will make every effort.

Your charges for your stay will be refunded, if already collected, by Airbnb.

We will provide you with a voucher to book the same amount of time, at a future date, at that booking rate, that is valid if The Happy Mango Hideaway is operational.

ACTIVE STAYS WHEN A HURRICANE IS APPROACHING:

If you are staying at The Happy Mango Hideaway when it falls under Tropical Storm/Hurricane Watch, with our property within the published “incidence cone” within forty-eight (48) hours, while you are staying with us, if the storm has the potential to reach a Category 1 level or greater, we will advise you to curtail your stay, and make arrangements to leave the area.

While we have hurricane windows and doors, our proximity to the intracoastal waterway puts us in an evacuation zone. You agree to depart the premises when requested to do so by The Happy Mango Hideaway staff, or the local authorities.

You will be advised of any changes in your entrance, or exit, for either of our buildings, if management deems that your safety is at-risk.

If we are forced to close, the remaining balance of your stay will be credited to you. If you booked through a service, see their policies for such a credit, if any. If you booked directly with us, you will receive a voucher for a future stay, at the rate that you booked, for the same, or shorter, duration, that is valid if we are operational.

If we are notified by the news and/or National Weather Service that there will be a window where a hurricane, of any category strength, will pass through our area, we will close the house(s) down 48 hours prior, or as soon as is possible, and ask all guests to vacate.

We will provide you notice, in writing, by email, or on paper, or both. Your reservation in progress will be cancelled. You will be credited with your remaining stay. You are responsible for your own safety, and evacuation plans, in such a circumstance. Be aware of news on the hurricane’s path. Check on, and book the necessary flights, rail, or auto transportation to leave the hurricane’s projected pathway.

I have them, so I’m really sensitive to places that honor them. We work hard to keep dust to a minimum, and our service changes air filters regularly. We are here to insure a great stay! For additional fees, we can do special things for an anniversary, stocking those special things, from beverages to snacks, that you might like by advance request. Contact us with your requests, and we’ll get back to you with details.

HOUSEKEEPING

Regular housekeeping is NOT included with your stay. You can, for additional fees, have periodic, or daily housekeeping added to your stay.


SPORTS & BEACH

We have beach gear for your use. Beach chairs, towels, umbrella, and beach cart are included with your stay.

Three bicycles are available with helmets and a lock. A waiver will be required to use bikes or beach gear.


LAUNDRY

The Laundry Shed is available for guest use. It is shared with the owner. Laundry detergent, softener and dryer sheets are provided as well.

CHECK-OUT:

Check out is 10:00a. Late check-out, up to 3pm., is subject to availability, with pre-approval. Late check out without approval will result in an additional day’s charge, at the prevailing rate, and comment on Airbnb for future stays.

When you leave, please return the key to the hook by the main bedroom door to the patio. Failure to return the key will result in a $75.00 rekeying fee. Full instructions will be provided to you on the morning of your check-out.

Guests are welcome to use the pool area, outdoor shower and washer and dryer in the laundry shed on the property. We ask that you refrain from allowing any pets access to the shared areas.

Please note by reserving this vacation rental Guest acknowledges and agrees to the following:

~All confirmed reservations, require an e-signed short term agreement, credit card authorization with credit card for security deposit hold ($500) on our site, and ID verification for all Guests over 18 years of age, for access to the property. Id and credit card (photo) must match. A link is sent via Airbnb to our site once your Aibnb booking is confimed

~No modifications will be made to Airbnb fee, taxes or cleaning fee.

~Bookings within 24 hours of arrival require prep time; this means check in time may be after our standard 4pm check in time. **no credits or refunds will be given**

~4 adults max ~ NO pets

~ All reservations greater than 10 nights require a mid-stay cleaning. If not charged at the time of booking the mid stay cleaning ($150) will be invoiced separately.

~Violations of the Short Term Agreement will result in forfeiture of deposit, immediate termination of stay with no refunds for unused time and may be subject to additional fees related to the violation.

~Guest is responsible for payment of damaged or missing items. The property is videotaped and photographed prior to each guest's stay. Upon arrival, if anything is not as expected, it must be reported within 12 hours. -Arrival day/Checkout Day information will be included in the short term agreement, welcome email and the Guest Digital Welcome Guide.
-Keypad access to Coastal Cottage and keypad code will be provided ON check in day via text message about 30 minutes prior to check-in time.
-Beach card will be in home upon arrival and must be returned at check-out. Guest will be charged $200 for missing beach card.

~The property behind Coastal Cottage was sold and leveled [summer 2023]. Current May 20, 2025...nothing is happening-there is an empty grass lot. We don't have additional information regarding the start of their construction, however it is important to to note that there may be construction on this neighboring property, during your stay. The backyard may not be useable during the day if workers are on their property. No refunds or credits will be provided for neighborhood construction. We will update as soon as any new info is obtained.

-Key pad access is ONLY for Guests registered on the Short Term Vacation Rental Agreement.
-No unregistered Guests are permitted on property.
