Nestled in the heart of Punta Gorda's Historic District is this remodeled, charming 2 bedroom, 1 1/2 bathroom cottage. Walk everywhere! It is 2-4 short blocks from fantastic restaurants and bars and 4 short blocks to the Harbor River Walk. This little gem is very spacious and will accommodate 4 nicely. The master bedroom has a king size bed while the second bedroom has 2 twin XL beds. These can easily push together to make a king size bed. The cottage is fully contained with all the small appliances you have at home including microwave, toaster, coffee maker, electric kettle, blender, crock pot and air fryer. It has all the dishes and cookware to enjoy cooking and eating indoors or outdoors, including a dishwasher. The screened in lanai is perfect for relaxing outside and the nice ceiling fan will keep you cool while playing your favorite game at the table. This cottage is perfect for a short visit or a long stay.

NOTE: In 2021 this property was listed as a short term rental on Airbnb. The host left her position as my property host to pursue another career. I am the owner, and am now the host. Under Airbnb, I had a 4.8 star rating with 11 reviews over a 4 month period. Since becoming the host I decided to go with VRBO since this site leans towards an older crowd and Punta Gorda is considered a "paradise" for vacationers over the age of 50.

- "The house is small and cozy, as pictured. Very clean. It suited us perfectly for our needs." - "The place is nice and cozy we loved it" - "Nice place" - "This small house was a good choice for two and the price was great compared to other options in the Punta Gorda area. The location, however, is a bit questionable. The neighborhood appears to be a fairly low income section of Port Charlotte with some nearby properties in very poor condition. It felt a bit unsafe at first glance but we did not experience any issues during our stay. The interior of the house was reasonably clean except for a moldy shower curtain, dirty kitchen dishes/utensils and some moldy-smelling bathroom towels. Although there is an ironing board, there is no iron and the bathroom sink was partially clogged. The ceiling fan in the dining area was broken - it was running at full speed when we arrived and there was no way to turn it off. No WiFi information is provided in the house but the owner responded quickly to my request for login credentials. The owner left a list of things to do at check-out which includes taking out the garbage. Unfortunately, the trash cans in the backyard were overflowing; the smell made it clear the trash hadn't been discarded in quite some time. I would not return here, but can recommend this for someone looking for inexpensive lodging. Just keep in mind that you get what you pay for."

This new construction property was completed in November 2023 and features a large living room, kitchen, and dining space as well as two spacious bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The location was purposefully selected to showcase the best that Punta Gorda has to offer. Only being two blocks from downtown allows guests to enjoy the many bars and restaurants that are offered. Guests can take short walk to enjoy a waterfront meal or stroll through the shops at Fisherman's Village. The newly finished Sunseeker Resort is just across the bridge where guests can access the many bars, restaurants, and pools within. With the modern finishes and coastal aspects of the property, guests are destined to love their new home away from home in Punta Gorda, Florida.

The location of the property is great. It's an easy aalk to shops and restaurants or down to the beach.
