Delightful renovated cottage 3 bedroom /2 bath + large cozy open loft
The Waterfront Charmer, a waterfront cottage, overlooking Boca Ciega Bay is decorated in a Key West style and perfectly located in the heart of of Pass-a-grille's historic district.

We are right next to 8th Ave which is the 'hub' of this quiet spot, across from the Merry Pier and next to the Seahorse Restaurant (open for breakfast and lunch only and with a new menu!)

The comfortable cottage and cozy loft has everything you could possibly need for your vacation. Just bring a toothbrush!

Pass-a-grille is located on the southernmost tip of St Pete Beach. Near Tampa, St Petersburg, Anna Maria Island, Egmont Key and Bradenton/Sarasota.

We take great care to make sure you have all the comforts needed to make a vacation a memorable experience. We're fortunate enough to have acquired many repeat guests, we book up early for the spring season so don't delay.

A red aluminum roof makes the cottage quickly identifiable! The cabana striped awnings, bright tropical artwork and furnishings complete the charm of old Florida living with contemporary amenities. Cottage has 2 decks - one that looks at Boca Ciega Bay and a second intimate, secluded, covered porch between home and the garage (loft). A privacy fence on both sides of the home. Old oak wood floors, a totally remodeled and updated kitchen, romantic fireplace, ceiling fans, central air, This is our personal guest house for our friends and family when they come visit, so we make sure it never starts looking 'tired'.

We completed a large remodel of both bathrooms a couple years ago, they still have the old cottage look but are totally new! A large laundry area is located in the bottom floor of loft with full sized stacked front load washer and dryer. New loft AC and new AC in the cottage.

Since we are one of the original Pass-a-grille Cottages, we have a bit of a rambling, add-on, footprint. The cottage sleeps 6, 1 queen, 1 full, 2 twins. It is 2 bedroom/2 bath and a small Florida room, with 1 twin bed & 1 twin trundle, which can be closed off from the rest of the cottage. Additionally, the loft sleeps 4. The loft is a upstairs/downstairs with a laundry center and 1 full bed on bottom floor, 2 twins on top level, along with a smart TV. It's a perfect place to house the teenage or almost teenage children.

There is a communal pool available in St Pete Beach, it's about 3 miles away but it is not bicycle friendly for the average bicycler.

- "I booked this trip as a gift to myself for my 50th birthday. I had previously had an awful experience with a VRBO reservation. HOWEVER, this experience was the opposite. Most importantly the homeowner was amazing to work with. Amy made this the BEST vacation experience. This home is AMAZING!!!!! It has the original charm of the small beach homes of the 50's and 60's but with the updated conveniences. The water pressure was great in the showers. The home was very clean and supplied an abundance of items you may need during your stay. There is actually more than one roll of toilet tissue and paper towel. The towels and linens are amazing. The bed linens are from Pottery Barn and so cool and soft!!! The beds were super comfortable. There is a "sunroom" that has high day bed. At first I was skeptical about the comfort - then I put a cool sheet on it and napped there every day!! There are fans throughout the house that feel wonderful. But - that AC is COLD!!!! We slept so good every night. In the morning you can step off the front porch and watch the sunrise and in the evening walk one block to watch the sunset. The garage is filled with everything you can imagine to enjoy your time at the beach. There were 2 bikes (I used them daily), beach chairs, umbrella, wagon and many floats and toys. The laundry was located in the "apartment style" garage area. It was very cold in there too. Excellent space for extra guests and for folding all those beach towels! OVERALL A++"

The Gulfside Bungalow has French doors that open off the bedroom onto your own private deck surrounded by palm trees and flowers. Breakfast outside, grill dinner on our BBQ, or just read in the lazy afternoon on our spacious new deck.

The bedroom is bright and airy with a new queen-sized bed and French doors that allow in evening air. An overhead fan reduces the need for the new AC unit. If the mood strikes, bedside are the switches for the garden accent lights around the deck. The pretty bedroom has light wicker furniture, a closet, flat screen TV and Blu-Ray DVD player. Of course, fine linens and plush towels are provided.

The living room, decorated in Floridian style, has a sleeper sofa and armchair along with a large flat screen TV and wicker desk with a high-speed internet connection. A closet provides additional storage for clothes. Central AC provides cooling and heating.

The eat-in kitchen has a new electric range with a ceramic stove top. The beautifully restored cabinets, large refrigerator, microwave, blender, toaster, coffee maker, and the usual assortment of pots, pans, utensils, dishes, and flatware make meal preparation a pleasure. A small glass-top table in the kitchen is fine for eating.

You may also choose to eat out on the deck where a table and chairs provide a private eating and relaxing area. Next to the deck, there is a gas grill for BBQs. Nearby, Shaner's is a great place to get some fantastic meat or fish for grilling or a hot sandwich. Our guidebook containing personal restaurant reviews and menus may tempt you to visit some of the local eateries.

* A storm in the Fall of 2023 wiped out the dunes and beach on the lower 1/3 of Pass-a-grille. Although the City trucked in sand from a quarry in the middle of Florida and planted sea oats and sea grapes, it will look pretty ugly for years. We are in the middle of the section that was not affected. Our dunes and beach are still natural.
* The beach access on the end of our street is wide and easy to traverse. Turn left (south) and you are on the public beach. Turn right (north) and you are on the wider, beautiful private beach you are free to use with less crowds and miles of walking.
* We are one of only 14 properties permitted by the City to do short term rentals in the residential zones of Pass-a-grille.
* We take loving care of our property. It is up-to-date and nicely decorated.
* We have been renting for 20+ years and many guests return year after year.

Communications & Entertainment:
We use wired and wireless high speed cable internet. There are jacks in the living room with a wicker desk for your laptop, and in the bedroom. There are cable flat screen TVs and Blu-Ray Players in the living room and bedroom. For foreign visitors, there is a phone line available that is shared between the 3 units - local calls only. If you need the phone, please make arrangements when making the reservation.

Washer/Dryer:
There is a modern high efficiency front-loading clothes washer in the kitchen. The dryer is in a shed on the deck. There is also a clothesline that can be strung across the deck for air drying clothes.

Beach Equipment:
There are beach towels available. In the front alcove and along the side walkway are beach chairs, an umbrella, and beach toys for your use. On the right of the front entrance arch is a freshwater hose for washing off sand.

Parking:
We will provide you with a single parking pass for residential parking on the street right in front of the Triplex. Additional cars may be parked on the east end of the street, which is not posted. The parking pass must be returned when leaving.

We have made up a guidebook to help you enjoy the area. Included are extensive restaurant reviews and menus, suggested activities and special places to visit. There are aerial maps to help you get a lay of the land (and sea), as well as a map of the Pinellas Rail trail. We've also included some special places to shop. We are also on Pass a Grille's Historic Home registry! We are honored to have this designation. The original part of the home was built in 1925 but is updated with all new stainless appliances, new hurricane windows and front door, 2 air conditioning systems (central air plus mini split), washer and dryer in unit, and flat screen tvs in each bedroom and living room. We were able to keep some of the historic features of the home like Mexican saltillo tile floors, Dutch door in the kitchen so you can open the top half to allow fresh air, ironing boards in the wall, and historic molding in the bedrooms.

Walk to Restaurants just 2 blocks away. Enjoy breakfast at the historic Seahorse Restaurant, open since 1938. Visit the rooftop at the Hurricane Bar and Grill or enjoy crab cakes at the Brass Monkey Restaurant or a gourmet meal at Grace or the Dewey.
This unit is on first floor, rear unit and there is one other rental unit (one bedroom/one bath) located up front. You share the porch area with that unit but have separate entrances. Owners live upstairs and have a separate entrance at rear of house. Legal licensed for daily rentals.

The refrigerator leaked several times a week to make a pool of water on the kitchen floor. One burner on the stove was defective. The hot water heater leaks in the garage. Features a Queen Bedroom with adjoining bathroom downstairs. Upstairs there is a loft bedroom with twin beds and a half bath. TV's in all rooms, wifi and cable. We call it the Loft Cottage for it's quaint and inviting charm. The fenced backyard has a dining table and grill. During season grab a few fresh oranges from the orange tree.

There are beach chairs, beach towels and extra linens for each bed. Plenty of extra towels and on premises washer and dryer.

PET POLICY:You must send a copy of proof of liability insurance (cover sheet for your home owners liability policy) Must be approved in advance of booking- picture of pet must be sent to owner. Pets must be non-aggressive toward other animals, adults or children. You must have a health note from your vet dated within 30 days of travel- you must either take a picture and email that to me or send it to me in the mail-I need a direct note from your Vet that they are on Prescribed flea treatment & heart worm program. (not purchased at petco or non-vet stores- its just not strong enough for the FL bugs)You are responsible for picking up after your animal and keeping them leashed while outside at all times. There is a cleaning fee of $55 required - my cleaners spend an extra hour at each house after a pet stay making sure to remove any pet dander and washing all comforters and even rolling couches.Pets should not sit on any furniture at the houses

The neighborhood has colorful cottages most built in the 1920's on an island only 5 house wide. There are 10 restaurants in walking distance and the house comes with two beach cruiser bikes so cars are not needed. The gradual drop-off of the firm sand into the low waves makes for nice swimming for kids and miles of excellent walking or jogging at sunrise or sunset. Sunset sails, horseback riding on the beach, boat & wave runner rentals or fishing and golf are all close by- just ask me if you are interested in something locally! No Parties only for individuals looking for a relaxing quiet get a way with or without just one car.

- "The bedroom was filthy, I should have taken a photo of the filth under the bed. If you walked barefoot your feet turn black. If you have clean floors that doesn’t happen. The furniture in the living room was very old and needed cleaning. The bath mat was dirty. The people next door had loud parties, we could hear the music and loud voices through the wall. The location was ideal but everything else made it less attractive."

A fully renovated historic beach cottage located in beautiful Pass a Grille, Florida. Steps from the Gulf of Mexico and Boca Ciega Bay. This is a duplex; Unit 1 - 1 bedroom/1 bath. Household linens, towels, cookware & dishes provided. Appliances include; dishwasher, washer/dryer, flat screen TVs and wi-fi. Vintage-style tiled bathroom and shower. High end window shades on all windows. Front patio area w/ BBQ grill. Private parking for 1vehicle on premises.

The space
This cottage is a duplex. Unit 1 is 1 bedroom/1 bathroom and sleeps 2 people.(Queen bed). It is fully furnished with every conceivable comfort provided including, wifi, Roku tv for you to login with your own over-the-top TV subscriptions (be that Netflix or Hulu amongst others). Opens up into the living space with a fully equipped kitchen, all dishes, cutlery and cookware provided. There is additional pull out storage space and a neat under the counter fridge freezer. The drop leaf dining table opens up to seat four. Comfy couch, 2 armchairs and an extra one nestled on the corner, perfect for curling up with a good book. Desk space, lots of windows to let the sun shine in.
The bedroom has plenty of storage including a chest of drawers and hanging closet and a full length mirror. Face, hand and bath towels provided. You can find extra linens in the antique bedroom trunk. We have also provided 2 big beach towels - just in case you need an extra one. The bright clean outdoor patio brings with it plenty of shade provided by the stunning palm trees that line its borders, as well as shaded seating perfect for outdoor dining complete with BBQ grill. (PLEASE DO NOT LOAD THE WASHER WITH DIRTY LAUNDRY -All end of stay laundry is washed off the premises by the cleaning company). Do not leave any dirty dishes lying around the cottage. Take all of your remaining foods with you. Please return BOTH sets of keys to the lockbox. PASS-A-GRILLE HISTORIC COTTAGE UNIT 1 &2 A fully renovated historic beach cottage located in beautiful Pass a Grille, Florida. Steps from the Gulf of Mexico & Boca Ciega Bay. This is a duplex; 3 bedroom/2 bath. Household linens, towels, cookware & dishes provided. Appliances include; dishwasher, washer/dryer, flat screen TVs and wi-fi. Vintage-style tiled bathroom and shower. High end window shades on all windows. Front+back patio areas w/ BBQ grills. Private parking for 3 vehicles on premises.

The space
This cottage is a duplex. 3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms and sleeps 6 people.(3 Queen beds). It is fully furnished with every conceivable comfort provided including, wifi, Roku tv for you to login with your own over-the-top TV subscriptions (be that Netflix or Hulu amongst others). Both units open up into their own living spaces with a fully equipped kitchens , all dishes, cutlery and cookware provided. There is additional pull out storage space and a neat under the counter fridge freezer in Unit 1. Desk space in Unit 1 with a sweet reading corner. Unit 2 has a larger kitchen with full size refrigerator and freezer. The drop leaf dining table in Unit 1 opens up to seat four, there is more substantial space in Unit 2 which has an adorable booth dining set-up with a custom made dining table. Unit 2 also has a kitchen island with breakfast seating. Lots of windows to let the sun shine in in both units!
The bedrooms have plenty of storage including a chests of drawers and hanging closets and a full length mirrors. Face, hand and bath towels provided. You can find extra linens and towels. We have also provided 6 big beach towels - just in case you need an extras. The bright clean outdoor patios bring with them plenty of shade provided by the stunning palm trees that line the borders, as well as lots of shaded seating perfect for outdoor dining complete with BBQ grill both front and back. -You understand that swimming, outdoor activities, on the property, or while exploring Pass-A-Grille, and/or the use of our fire pit/fire place are at your own risk, that special risks may be involved with such activities.
-You understand there are potential dangers for children who are not carefully supervised, as well as potential personal dangers to any person with health risks, intoxication with alcohol, drugs or medications or while pregnant.
-You understand the risks discussed above and agree that you, as booking guest, will assume all responsibility for yourself, any bodily injury that arises and for the consequences of actions of those in your party.
-You agree to waive any claim whatsoever against owner for accidents and/or claims arising from swimming, outdoor activities and/or using the fire pit/fire place.

The space
You will enjoy the highlight of our beach cottage: the back yard and patio! Fishing poles are provided to catch fish off the dock. Dolphins and Manatees like to stop by the dock to say hi. You can relax in our lagoon heated pool and spa while surrounded by lush, tropical trees watching Florida's best sunsets. Enjoy your morning coffee while bird watching, you will see everything from Ospreys to Parakeets. Enjoy grilling and having dinner on the back patio or dining room....the dining room offers beautiful views of the water as well.

Living room sofa has a new pull out bed, new mattress in Queen and King room. Down the street our park offers tennis courts, basketball courts and a playground.

Enjoy nearby restaurants, bars, entertainment and nightlife, shopping and museums. St. Pete Beach offers the most beautiful beach on the west coast of Florida.
