- "From the moment we arrived, everything was great! We were greeted at the docks with a golf cart that came with the house and golf cart and trailer to take all of our things to the house. We thought we brought way to much stuff and we were worried about how to get it to the house, but the trailer could have taken sooo much more if we needed it to. Once we got to the house, our driver helped us inside with our things and offered to give us a tour of the island (we declined because my husband and I like to explore anyway). The house was clean and smelled of all the wood inside which was nice. Everything that was offered in the listing was available to us to use and we utilized everything…kayaks, bikes and especially the golf cart! My only complaints were that the bed was a little too firm for my liking and when we went to take the bikes out all the tires were flat. There was a pump there but it was broken. We contacted the property manager and they actually let us go to another house and borrow a different pump. Overall, we would definitely stay here again! We had an amazing time!"

Remote and undiscovered, North Captiva Island, also known as Upper Captiva Island, is only accessible by ferry, private boat or small plane. This private island community is reminiscent of old Florida as it once was during a simpler time. Just 3 miles offshore, this tropical paradise is part of the Lee Island Coast barrier island chain in South West Florida
Go hiking in the 350 acre state wildlife preserve.
Shop at the island gift shops and island hopping to nearby Captiva, Cabbage Key, Sanibel, Cayo Costa, or Boca Grande.
Or JUST RELAX. You're on Island Time.


Travel to North Captiva should begin with checking on great flights to one of the major international airports nearby. SW Florida International (RSW) is a quiet and convenient airport to traverse. Mostly on One Level and very easy to access the parking areas, navigating it is truly a pleasure. Punta Gorda Airport (PGD) is not serviced by Allegiant and Frontier airlines, between these two providers, there is now a gateway for direct flights from many more cities and at value costs to boot.



By Car

From the South or North of I-75
From I-75 (exit 143) or US 41, head west on Pine Island Rd. (State Road 78), then take a right on Stringfellow Rd. (State Road 767) in Pine Island Center. Three miles down, take a left on Pineland Road. This will turn into Waterfront Drive and you'll see the Marina on the left, nestled on the shores of Pine Island Sound.

*Important Information: When driving or taking the airport shuttle from Ft Myers International (RSW), allow approximately 1 hour drive time to The North Captiva Welcome/Embarkation Center at Betsy Parkway, to Pineland Marina, or to Four Winds Marina. If you are Grocery Shopping, please account for an additional 45 minutes and make sure you arrive at the Welcome Centers or Marinas at least 15 minutes before your scheduled water taxi departure.

Any local pharmacy will need the doctor to call in the prescription or you must deliver a written one personally (not a fax) to be filled. Plan ahead and take a full prescription with you before you depart for convenience.

FlipFlopper Beach House - well appointed family focused beach home only a 3 minutes walk from the White Sand Beaches on the Gulf of Mexico and 3 min walk to Island Club Amenities on North Captiva Island.

Rate includes Luggage Deliver, use of Golf Cart and Members Access to The Island Club. Hard limit on 6 guests - rare exceptions but please ask - infants are not counted in the above 6 person limit!

The space
Open Concept, Clean and Updated, tons of natural sunlight and a beautiful breeze with the windows and doors left open. This is our Families Beach Home and not a full time AirBNB Rental - we've set it up for ourselves to enjoy and hope you will as well.

Beach access on North Captiva is limited to only two public points on the South Side - our home is one of the only homes an easy walk to beach access without the price premium of being Ocean Front.

Conveniently centered between the Beach Access and the Island Club Pools so it’s a few minutes either direction. Access to the Members Side of the Island Club Pool and Members Bar is included with your Rental.

Genuinely close enough to walk to the beach so no need to pack up the cart to drive to the beach which is a common necessity with most of the homes and close enough to run back for a bathroom break, quick meal, snack or even a nap!

Recently replaced flooring and updated downstairs bath, all new impact windows and new air conditioning units within this year. Private Hot Tub on the rear - side facing side deck. Weber grill on the front deck to handle all your grilling desires!

A fair bit of kids and adult books are left behind as well as some toys our own children have accumulated over time. Good collection of board games and puzzles as well. Feel free to bring more and you’re always welcome to leave stuff behind.

Pack and Play Crib is in a bedroom cloth set with linens. A small high chair is also left with the property.

Please note - there are two separate 3/2 units associated with this property (we own both). The units are listed and rented separately but feel free to inquire if you need a 6 bedroom /4 bath for a larger group.

Other things to note
Be sure you read and understand the Terms & Conditions associated with use of our Golf Carts - use constitutes understanding and acceptance of terms. An additional Indemnification Agreement will be sent ahead of your rental - this is specifically for use of the Golf Carts Associated with your rental of the property. Doc's must be returned before your arrival.

Luggage Assistance is provided by Island Club @ North Captiva so Ferry Services must be booked via the Island Club - please reference Member ID - 164 / basic supplies are included in the Cleaning Fee - luggage services are for one arriving / departing group, split groups will have to inquire about additional assistance and fees direct with the Island Club.

When booking your ferry please be sure to check Luggage Assistance is requested with your ferry reservation.

Grocery Services are available to our guests for additional fees direct with our Property Managers ONLY. Any 3rd party grocery service will not be given access to the home to stage your groceries. Please inquire once booked and we can put you in touch with our team that truly can make your time on the island effortless!

Housekeeping charges include the above mentioned services and an “essentials supply package” to include bath, kitchen & laundry essentials for a few days.

Six beach chairs, two umbrellas and a host of beach toys are made available to use as well as a small cooler for the day. Feel free to bring more Beach Toys and always leave some behind for another family to enjoy. If you find anything missing or damaged send us a note and we can get you replacements as we keep extras in the garage.

It is absolutely imperative that’s guests charge golf carts each and every night - around a 10 hour charge to ensure you have good usage the following day. Failure to charge carts nightly may result in an inability to use the cart the next day. Please help us to keep the carts good and reliable throughout your stay.

Additional Notes - Golf Carts are not allowed on the Beach. This is a Lee County / State of Florida Mandate as the risk to injuring nesting Sea Turtles is significant. Be safe, be respectful and have fun!

Welcome to paradise! Your stay includes The Island Club access to clubhouse pools, pool bar, hot tub, as well as bikes, kayaks, and tennis and basketball fun. There is a 4-seater golf cart included for everything you need to make your vacation a memorable one. All your linens, fully equipped kitchen, private pool with screened in pool deck, propane grill, central a/c, and streaming TVs are all provided. Games and books for all ages. Hammocks & comfortable beds await your island getaway.

The space
This home has a private screened pool and is situated on an oversized lot to ensure privacy. Swing in the hammock nestled under the trees or lounge by the pool and enjoy the sounds of nature.

Brand new eco-friendly Appalachian pine wood floors throughout and long billowing curtains really make this feel like a beach cottage you will never want to leave! Open floor plan on the main level with kitchen, living room, and dining room. Also on the main level are 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. One has a queen bed and the other room has a bunk bed with bottom and top single beds. Upstairs you will find the master with queen bed and balcony with the amazing views of the sea. Great home for a couple and small family.

Guest access
Guests will have full access to the North Captiva Island Club, which includes pools, pool bar, hot tub, tennis courts, bicycles, and kayaks.

Other things to note
There is no grocery store on the island so guests can pre-order their groceries with options to pick them up before boarding the ferry or have them delivered to your house. There is a lunch place on the island called Barnacle Phil's as well as the pool bar at the North Captiva Island Club, and another restaurant that serves dinner. There is also a small market that sells the essentials in case you forget something or want to order pizza or fresh fish.

The enchanting bungalow was once a major hub of Captiva Island as the local Post Office, and now it is yours to lodge in for your next vacation. Fully renovated yet still retaining the classic charm of Captiva’s heyday,
