KLK is located one mile south of JOHN PENEKAMP STATE PARK.
INSIDE: #66 is one of the largest cottages in the near vicinity.

Guest Registration and Check-In Process:

Rental and Guest Registration Form: Guests are required to submit the Rental and Guest Registration Form at least 24 hours prior to their arrival. Failure to do so may result in denied access to the Kampground.

Office Registration: All renters and guests must personally register with a Reservation Specialist upon arrival.

Photo ID Requirement: Renters and guests must provide a valid photo ID at the time of registration, and the name on the ID must match the name on the registration form.

Late Submission Fee: If a guest arrives without submitting the necessary paperwork at least 24 hours in advance, the owner will incur a service fee of $25.00, which will then be charged to the guest.

Check-In Information:Welcome Package: Upon registration, guests will receive a welcome package containing a gate card (requiring a reimbursable deposit), a parking pass, a map of the Kampground with directions to their designated lot, and a copy of the Kampground rules and regulations.

Rules and Regulations: Guests are required to adhere to all rules listed in the provided campground Rules and Regulations document, with particular attention to the Quiet Hour rule, which prohibits loud music or noise after 10:00 PM.

Check-In Times: Check-in time is between 4:00 PM and 10:00 PM. Please coordinate with us in advance if you require an earlier check-in. No check-in will be available after 10:00 PM.

Occupancy Limit: Each unit has a maximum occupancy limit of 6 people, including the owner and other occupants already on the property.

Pet Policy: Pets are permitted with a maximum weight limit of 100 pounds and a maximum of two pets per unit. Aggressive breeds are not allowed; please refer to the list on our website for details.

Marina and Boat Slips: The maximum boat size allowed is 25’ x 8.5’ x 2.5’. After check-in, renters must contact the office directly to reserve a boat slip and trailer parking. Insurance and registration for both the boat and trailer must be provided prior to arrival.

Additional Information:

Jet Ski Policy: Jet skis or wave runners are not permitted within the campground.

Guests will not be allowed in the Park without proper paperwork. If the parked trailer an/or car extend onto the road, they must be parked in the campground lot, where parking is available at an additional charge ( Boat Slip Rentals: Public boat slips can be rented for $40-$47 per day, plus taxes, Please contact the office for seasonal rates and availability.)

Important Notes:

Nature Surroundings: Our property is surrounded by stunning natural beauty. While we maintain a monthly pest control service, guests may still encounter bugs, especially after prolonged periods of rain. Please keep windows and doors closed, and outdoor lights off when not in use, as they tend to attract bugs.

Gate Card Deposit: Upon check-in, a gate card will be provided by the front desk, requiring a $50 deposit. Please return the gate card to the front desk on the day of your check-out. Failure to do so may result in a $50 fee deducted from your deposit for card replacement.

Restaurants are within 5-10 min to Gilbert’s and Buzzards Roost. Gilbert's has a beach, live music, dockage for boats, fuel dock and a great tiki bar on the water.

Sundowners is about 12 min away with excellent views of the sunset, dockage for boats and live entertainment,. Also visit Senor Frijoles next door, with outdoor dining, Tex-Mex food and excellent Margaritas. Alabama Jacks is located across Card Sound, easy access by boat, live music and voted the best Conch Fritters in the Keys.

There are several boat & fishing charters as well as paddleboard, jet ski & boat rentals around Key Largo. Many will deliver watercraft directly to the property. The neighborhood is also centrally located with access to Everglades National Park to the west and Miami to the North as well as some of the worlds best fishing and dive spots through out the upper and middle Keys. Easy day trips to Key West and the lower Keys as well.

John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park is approximately 10 mins away at mile marker 102 offering beach/swimming areas, kayaking and canoeing as well as fishing & snorkeling trips to the reefs.

- "This home is right off the main highway, but back where you don’t see the traffic. It’s a semi-secluded retreat with waterfront access. There is a resort right next door that hosts weddings, although the activity there didn’t bother us at all, and actually was entertaining from the dock. Plenty of room inside the house, we could have brought our kiddos to stay. The bay is busy, but it’s a very relaxing area for as centrally located as the home is. The dock is a lovely place to spend mornings or evenings. It’s large enough with enough seating and tables to accommodate several couples and includes a fish cleaning station in case you catch anything big enough to keep. Fishing poles, kayaks, paddle boards, some floating chairs, and life vests are included for the 3 houses on the property at no extra cost, as well as some yard games, a hammock, grills, patio furniture etc. so if you’re looking at saving some money on activities or just spending more of your time at the property, there are plenty of things to keep you entertained. The mattress could use a topper, but aside from that everything was fantastic! If we come back to the area, I would absolutely consider this property again before any other!"

This is a 2 bedroom 1 bath camper (regular household plumbing in the bathroom- not an RV toilet)
Bedroom 1 (primary)- king size bed, smart TV and storage for your clothing in a closet and drawers.
Bedroom 2- twin bunk beds with smart TV and storage.
Living Room- two couches and pull out full size bed, TV with cable.
Kitchen- full size refrigerator and freezer, table with seating for 4. Camper has a propane stove and cooktop. Also provide an electric skillet for east cooking along with a microwave.
Outside enjoy relaxing under the tiki with the new high powered fan, use umbrella at the picnic table for outside dining and search the deck box for yard games, life jackets and kayak paddles.
We provide a 2 person kayak. These are use at your own risk. There is a kayak launch beach just down the street. This provides water access to mangrove tunnels.

The campground has a large heated pool and kiddie pool. There is a playground, volleyball net, basketball court, corn hole, and other games. The front office has equipment available to use. There are 2 charcoal grills by the playground that can be used for grilling.

There are two extra bath houses with showers- perfect for large groups.

The campground limits 1 vehicle on the lot and charges for extra vehicles and boat/trailer storage. The office charges a resort fee per person- We cover this cost as part of your stay with us.

You will need to arrive prior to 10 pm on your check in day. The security gate closes at 10 pm and you will need a gate key to get in.

Only registered guest will be allowed in the resort. Once you book, we will send you a message through Airbnb for registration
details that MUST be completed. This is needed to provide a smooth check-in.

At check in the front desk or security will provide you with a Gate Card. Please Return the Gate Card back to the front desk the day of your check out. This is to ensure you are not charged for the gate card.

Maximum boat size is 25' x 8.5'. There is a one time ramp fee and a dock can be reserved prior to your arrival. On site boat and trailer storage available through the campground. Please call Key Largo Kampground to arrange dockage or storage. All boats require insurance to use the campground marina. There is limited parking at our site. We can accommodate a small trailer.

No jet ski/wave runners are allowed on the property. We are located in a no jet ski zone. Jet skis can be left outside the campground gate and launched at the public ramp next to the. Caribbean Club.

We are a smoke free/pet free home.

We have a 2 person ocean kayak and bikes for your enjoyment. Use at your own risk. Please return life jackets to the dock box. There is air for the bike tires by the marina.

The campground limits guest to 1 car per site and charges a resort fee- first two guest are free. One guest in the group must be 25 years old or older.

We recommend trip insurance to protect your vacation. Life can be unpredictable.

During weather events and high tides there may be coastal flooding in the Florida Key. There could be standing water on Overseas Hwy, in the camping resort and on our property.

Security cameras located at front door pointing to drive way, one that watches the front of the camper/road and on shed pointing out towards driveway. Recordings are video only- motion activated and only used during check in and check out and to make sure the cleaner/maintenance has come.o

The Captain's is a cottage at Key Largo Cottages. We are located on the bay side of Key Largo near some of the best dive/snorkel sites, island excursions, bars, restaurants, & the Everglades. Experience water fun! A stay in one of our cottages comes with unlimited use of our kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, snorkel gear, fishing gear, &, of course, the use of one of our 22' sailboats, if you have recent sailing experience on keel boats! You won't find a better deal in the Keys!

The Captain’s is perfect for watching the sunset and, when you wake up in the morning from a restful sleep, to see the bay in all its glory!

The Captain's has a king size bed, which faces the water, a futon bed that sleeps two, and a second bedroom with bunk beds, for which we charge an extra $15 a night. There is a compact refrigerator, 2-burner stove, cooking and dining utensils, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker with filters. Please note: We don’t provide toiletries; however, we do provide beach towels, bath towels, and linens for all of the beds in the cottage. The Captain's has a separate 1/2 bath with two showers, one shower and tub by the kitchen and outdoor shower.

The Captain's accommodates 2 adults and 2-4 children. It is NOT a dog-friendly cottage.

The Florida Keys is teeming with wildlife, like manatees, dolphins, birds, large/small lizards, and insects as would be expected from a tropical setting. That being said, Key Lime Sailing Club and Cottages is not a brand new 5-star resort. Guests can expect a friendly host, a clean air-conditioned cottage in an original Florida Keys resort. We are a great place to relax and we are in a excellent location to enjoy a warm tropical vacation.

The Owner’s, offered with a smile, history, warmth, and charm, is right in front of the bay. It has 2 bedrooms; one is the main bedroom with a queen size bed, the second bedroom has a queen size loft bed and a twin bed on the ground floor. (The loft only opens to the second bedroom and not to the living room or kitchen.) There’s also a full size sofa bed in the living room which sleeps two people. The Owner’s has a full bath with a tub with shower. Please note: We don’t provide toiletries; however, we do provide beach towels, bath towels, and linens for all the beds in the cottage. The Owner's has central air conditioning.

The large kitchen is well equipped with cooking and dining utensils, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker with filters, and has a dining table for 5. The fireplace was built in the 1950s with bricks that were handmade on site and used for cooking and smoking fish when this cottage was a fishing camp headquarters.

You can enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or dinner in the evening at the patio table on the deck while enjoying the view and grilling dinner on the gas grill provided.
