The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of towels, cleaning supplies and even bug spray (which we needed when the sun went down). The best part of the property was the dock and access to the water. I am an avid paddle board fisherwoman and I was able to launch my board right from the dock. As you drive up to this hacienda-style estate and park your car on the sandy drive under the ancient live oaks dripping with Spanish moss, you'll know that you have arrived at a genuinely special place. The mission-style bell tower atop this 'cabana' guest house and the Spanish-style courtyard tucked away behind wrought-iron gates offer the first clues that this was formerly the site of an early 20th-century railroad and streetcar tycoon's Florida get-away. Originally the carriage house for the estate, the guest house just underwent a top-to-bottom renovation making it a luxurious place to stay during the 21st century. Tucked between the Indian River Lagoon and the Sebastian River in the quaint and historic Roseland community, this is a magical spot.

Perched close to the edge of the original art deco swimming pool, from certain angles the cabana appears to be floating on water. At 26 feet by 52 feet, the pool is much larger than typical private pools, and great for serious lap swimming as well as casual wading or floating. Lion fountains at each corner of the pool serve as a reminder of the unique history of this estate. Keep refreshments handy at the attached poolside cabana bar, and you’ll never want to leave the pool!

Inside, the large, open living/dining area features glass doors and windows on all four sides, lending the interior a bright and open feeling even when Florida's famous sunshine is temporarily hidden behind the clouds. Bamboo floors, colorful and casual furnishings, arched windows, and muted pastel-colored walls create a relaxing resort-style space. Two steps down from the living area, a separate, fully-equipped kitchen features ultramodern and vintage appliances, including a dishwasher, microwave hood, and water filtration system. Freshly refurbished with classic Florida materials such as turquoise glass tile, pink enamel appliances, terrazzo floor tiles, and casual white cabinetry, the kitchen boasts large windows overlooking the swimming pool, with a door for easy access to the poolside cabana bar.

A small passageway connects the living area with the bedroom, bathroom, and laundry area with washer and dryer. Built largely of glass block, turquoise tile, terrazzo, and sea glass tile accents, the bathroom glows like a jewel, shimmering and subtly changing color as the sun moves through the sky. The oversized shower is lined with turquoise glass tiles, with a frosted glass door leading to an outdoor shower under the trees.

The separate bedroom with queen-sized bed comfortably sleeps two. A pull-out sleeper sofa in the living room can accommodate an extra guest. A unique arrangement of doors allows occupants of both the living and sleeping areas to retain their privacy while preserving access to the bathroom from either location.

This estate boasts a uniquely beautiful, natural old-Florida setting directly on the pristine and wildlife-friendly Sebastian River, just a mile upstream from the Indian River Lagoon. While lounging at the pool deck, enjoy a sweeping view of the expansive lawn, native and tropical landscaping, small private lagoon, and the river. In addition to the majestic live oaks, the mature landscaping features numerous palm trees and a wide variety of tropical plants.

The nature preserve on the opposite bank of the river ensures that you'll watch the sun set over the palms and flatlands of Florida herself, rather than over someone's condominium complex or a chain hotel. The bathroom has been fully renovated. The home has been refurbished but maintains its old Florida charm including Dade County pine flooring. There are large oak trees and a mango tree that likely predate the 1925 home. Parking is plentiful with two driveways and additional on street parking. Sidewalks and crosswalks extend from the home to just about anywhere you'd like to travel in downtown Stuart.

Located @ Port Salerno area of Manatee Pocket (Rocky Point). Salerno Pines Boat Basin (SPBB) N2 dock and also slip next to lil house, your choice. SPBB feeds to Manatee pocket to crossroads of St. Lucie and Indian Rivers at Sandsprit Park. East of crossroads leads to St. Lucie Inlet.
North leads to Stuart, Jensen Beach area.
Indian River going south is west of Atlantic Ocean and Jupiter Island.

This is a studio style cottage guest house on a large, quiet property in close proximity to Vero Beach and the downtown area. You'll have plenty of space to relax, roam with your pets, and even fish onsite. They're many attractions around including the Vero Beach Outlets, 4 miles west, and the beach, 7 miles east. A shopping mall and movie theater are just down the road along with groceries and all major restaurants. Come enjoy Vero Beach!

I try to make this as easy as possible for you and provide many amenities and even more upon request. I have no cleaning or pet fees included in the booking price. I try to communicate the best I can to resolve any issues or concerns that you may have.

Please keep in mind that I do have a moderate cancelation policy. That is because I have had many guests book ahead of time and cancel days before. I would prefer to keep it relaxed, but it has not worked. I understand things happen that are out of our control so please communicate with me and we can work to solve any issue that arises.

You should definitely take advantage of our Private Community Dock as our Guests, it is a wonderful amenity and many residents regularly enjoy the fantastic Sunsets or enjoy fishing off our Dock where a great many catches have been made by our Residents and Guests. We currently require a minimum 14 night Guest stay April thru December and 4 weeks in high season.

We live in a great location and love it here! The main house, which we live in, overlooks the St Lucie River, The cottage sits in front of the main house which gives you complete privacy and lets you come and go as you please. We have lived here since 1984 and done extensive renovation to a 1930's home and cottage. The property has been like an art piece for us. When we bought the property, the yard was minimally landscaped and the house needed major work. Over the years, we have converted our property into a wonderful, nature lover's haven. Our yard looks like something you'd find in Key West. We are organic gardeners and grow pineapples, papaya, key times, veggies and lettuces in our garden boxes along with many herbs. We share whatever is in season. If you are looking for a great experience, you'll find it here! We live on the St Lucie River and allow our guests to enjoy our dock for sunsets or a morning coffee. A beach in our yard provides a quiet get away for reading.

The Cottage details:
Shared washer and dryer with owners. The cottage is equipped with a separate kitchenette to include a frig/freezer, induction hot plate, large toaster oven, juicer, blender, pans, dishes, glassware, and utensils. OOMPLETELY EQUIPPED! The cottage has a dining table w/4 chairs, a very comfy queen bed, a leather sofa, coffee table and end table, wall unit with cable flat screen tv, wireless internet, chest of drawers, closet, vac, linens, beach towels, beach chairs and umbrella, 2 bikes, and a separate bathroom with a shower. In the front of the cottage is a small garden with a gas weber BBQ grill. Enjoy mornings in the garden drinking a cup of Joe or for an evening dinner. We try to give you complete privacy, but are always available for any questions that you may have. The cottage AC is a split unit which is very quiet as the compressor sits outside on the ground like central AC. The floors are all tile for easy maintenance. We have included games and books. Additionally, we have a book on the dining table with all of our favorite things to do and places to go. We include an Enjoyment Book for all of our visitors', use that discounts (2 for 1) local restaurants and activities. We hope you'll try us for a exceptional vacation experience.
Additionally, two bikes are available for use should you like to cruise the area in slow motion :-)
We will collect a 5% county bed tax upon arrival. VRBO collects the FL sales tax, but the county tax is our responsibility. The total of the tax is calculated on the weekly rate + the cleaning fee.

This beautiful, clean studio is located in Stuart, Florida. It is on a quiet, large private property located next to the main house. The cottage sets back on the property and is surrounded by a fenced yard and has its own private courtyard. Parking is at the front door of the cottage and there are no stairs to climb. Downtown Stuart is a 5 minute ride, the beaches are 10 minutes, and shopping and restaurants are close by and plentiful. The cottage is newly renovated and features a queen size bed, new air conditioning/ heat and rustic black walnut counters. The kitchen has a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster oven. There is an airport in Stuart and occasional plane sounds can be heard. The train tracks are about a mile away and some occasional train sounds can also be heard.

Our Teal Tomorrow Cottage offers a kitchenette with fridge/oven/microwave, and table for two. It also features a studio style family room with TV, and queen size bed and bathroom. The cottage has an attached covered carport. A set of beach chairs and towels are also included. Each cottage has comfortable bedding and linens along with the essentials you will need for your stay. The Beach House is a Key West style concrete block home in a mixed-use
waterfront community consisting of one- and two-story block houses, mobile
homes, and luxury RVs. The location on the island can’t be beat – walking

There are 1-1/2 parking spaces in the front of the house, and there are guest
spots conveniently located around the corner, only about 20 yards away.
If you like to fish, there is great fishing in the river just a short walk away.
We are also conveniently located near the Hutchinson Shores new resort and
