There was a wasp nest on the deck so the children could not play out there and there is absolutely NOTHING for the children to do on the property .The “private” beach’s access was all the way down the road . Halfway through the vacation the air conditioner quit working and it took all day for them repair man to get there in 90 degree plus temperatures . Welcome to Florida! !Everyone who has stayed at my cottage have told me “It is So close to everything!' The beach, the Halifax River, restaurants, shopping, movie theater, etc. The next thing people have said is how private, peaceful and cute. My offering has a covered front porch with two rockers and a little table for your morning coffee or tea. As you enter the front door, you will see the living room and then a small step down leads to both the kitchen and bedroom. and bathroom. Please note: It is a divided home (separate private entrance for owner and guest)
@Owner is readily available for any questions or needs you may have. The pool area has a covered patio for outside meals, and an in ground pool (with a love seat built into the deeper end). Access to private, screened pool. The bedroom has a queen bed. Bathroom with tub/shower combo.

Although we did not watch much TV, there is a nice Visio 50" (?) that I was able to cast my Fire Tablet to, so there was no need to login in to all my apps just to watch anything. Located just a couple blocks off A1A in the Hammock, the Seagrass Cottage in the Hammock has been completely redone and is bright and cheery, full of natural sun! The perfect choice for your visit to the Palm Coast area.

Kitchenette - Seagrass Cottage I has a microwave, full fridge, countertop air fryer, Keurig coffee maker, dishes, glasses and utensils.

Living area - When you first enter the unit, you are greeted with a couch on the right along with books, games and a 42” tv.

Bathroom - a full bathroom with tub/shower combination is located off the kitchen/living area.

Bedroom - To the rear of the unit is a cozy, but nicely sized bedroom with a queen bed and 32” television. There is also a closet for stashing your luggage out of the way.

Front Deck - Two chairs and a small table along with an umbrella make this spot perfect for morning coffee. You will love the full sun exposure!

You will have access to the shared yard and hammock during your stay.

Just about 25 minutes to the north is where you will find St. Augustine and St. Augustine Beach. Drive up A1A catching those long-awaited glimpses of the Atlantic Ocean.

Or you can easily hop on I-95 for a short drive to Daytona for races, shopping and dining!

AC unit in bedroom kept the whole place nice and cool. Pleasant front porch and a hammock in the yard for the 2 units to share. It was super quiet; there were other guests in the rear unit but we did not hear a peep, or any noise from outside. Location very nice. Walk (or drive since there is plenty of parking) to Mala Compra beach access. The beach has interesting rock formations and is a wonderful place to walk. Probably wouldn't do much swimming there because of the submerged rocks; BUT, there is another beach park very close (Bay Drive) that is a better swimming beach. Very close to Washington Oaks Gardens State Park as well. The county provides good signage on the main road for the beach parks. I liked this location better than staying in Flagler Beach itself because of the quality of the beaches. Still close enough for us to drive into Flagler for dinner at our favorite restaurant (shout out to Flagler Fish Company!) and visit the nature preserve there. We look forward to returning in cooler weather and exploring the hiking trails at Mala Compra. "

The Space:
Tropical oasis nestled in the Daytona/ Ormond beach area directly on the canal that connects with Tomoka River and Intracoastal. Excellent for kayaking and fishing. We currently have 3 single kayaks and 1 tandem kayak available for rent. We supply the life jackets, the paddles and invested in a super easy kayak launch from the floating dock located at the property. This devise is called KayasArm and detailed information about it can be found on YouTube. Cute beach house style decor with tropical wallpaper throughout. Bar top area and soft chairs in the living room with high speed internet was designed as a work friendly space. Remodeled bathrooms are decorated with beach theme artwork and include white towels and toiletries such as soap, shampoo and conditioner. Guest bathroom includes a tub and master bathroom includes a newly remodeled shower.

Master bedroom includes a queen size bed and a huge closet as well as hand painted dresser and night stands and a separate seating/ reading area and overlooks lush tropical landscape.

Another large closet is located in the hallway. Second bedroom, includes two velvet tufted single beds and more tropical decor and another huge closet.

Laundry room includes a full size washer and dryer available for guests’ use.

There is a picturesque seating area directly by the water with cushions stored at the cute little boat house. Seating area includes heavy chairs and a small glass table to enjoy your morning coffee provided by the host. On the right, you’ll find a boat lift. You are welcome to bring your boat, your jet ski or kayak and park it along the dock directly at the property.

There is an additional floating dock with KayaArm system to make it super easy to launch kayaks from the floating dock. I highly recommend kayaking if not directly through us then at the Tomoka Outpost park located minutes from the house. Please see my guidebook for more information about the park and its exact location. We have seen dolphins, manatees and a myriad of different species of birds when kayaking and boating and enjoy collecting shells and driftwood. Also, there is a public boat ramp located two minutes from the house as a alternate way to launch a kayak or a boat.
The backyard includes a fire pit and a two burner grill with grilling utensils stored inside. A seating area with a large dining table and chairs and a lounging area. Beach lounge chairs, table umbrella and basic fishing rods are stored at the adorable boat house by the water.

Lush greenery outside with palm trees and blooming shrubbery complete this tropical oasis designed for our guest to relax, escape from the ordinary and enjoy!

Guest Access:
There is an additional fee of $50 per guest per night in excess of 4 and up to 6 guests. There is also a pet fee of $150.00 for each pet brought to the property up to two under 30 lbs. Bring your boat, jet ski or kayak or rent one from us. Entire house and boat house, beautiful multilevel outside deck. Boat docking for a boat/jet ski available as well.
