- "First, I must say that the house is a beautiful, tastefully decorated, well-equipped cottage on the beach. The amazing views from the back covered porch extend for miles. The back porch was a great place to sit in the morning and evening, and there was also a sun deck overlooking the beach. We spent a great deal of time watching the wildlife in and along the water and did some fishing as well. Unfortunately during our visit, there were large construction trucks driving by during the day that are part of a major on-going beach rehabilitation project, working to save the beach which had been severely impacted by a hurricane. This went on from around 6:30 am to 4:30 pm, with huge dump trucks hauling loads of sand driving up and down the beach. It was so loud that it shook the house each time they drove by. The trucks made 3 foot deep ruts we had to climb over to get to the beach, and the trucks didn't slow down or stop for us. We contacted the management but did not receive a response regarding this. We felt that we should have been made aware of the situation prior to our making a reservation. The house was neat and relatively clean, with the exception of some soiled disposable cleaning rags on one of the bathroom floors, and the kitchen sink had some gritty, greasy deposit in it which I cleaned. An expert cleaner should not have overlooked these. All in all, we did enjoy our stay, the place is beautiful, but during the day we drove elsewhere for some peace and quiet."

The one block walk to the beach was easy and we parked our car for days and walked to breakfast at Friends Cafe, donuts at Swilllerbees and dinners at the Funky Pelican, Tortugas and The Golden Lion . All dinners and breakfasts were excellent. I enjoyed walking to the local shops and felt very safe in the town and walking about at night. We definitely will be returning."

At the 1/2 Nest you will enjoy being steps from the beach and all the downtown restaurants and shops. An early morning walk to the beach and you will see the most amazing sunrises over the ocean. A couple of blocks the other way and you can visit the library, local park.

We are nestled half way between Daytona Beach and St Augustine. Take a trip south to the Daytona International Speedway & drive on the famous Daytona Beach. Or drive north to see the historic city of St Augustine. There you can take a trolley tour and walk the shops on St George Street. You can go to Orlando for the day and experience one of the many amusement parks they have including Disney.

We offer a 1 or 2 bedroom cottage depending on your needs. We also have garage space available for an additional fee for motorcycles.

Our 1 bedroom cottage offers a king size bed and a relaxing living room with a writing desk and chair incase you have to catch up on emails while you are away. You will enjoy a fully equipped kitchenette with a stove top and microwave/convection oven.
There is an outside deck that is shared by both properties for outdoor dining.
