The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking essentials, glassware and dinnerware. A full size washer and dryer are located directly off the kitchen in an enclosed porch.

All your beach necessities are housed in a storage shed in the fully fenced backyard – bikes, beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards and beach toys. There is also a gas grill and pavered seating area.

You are within walking or biking distance to the heart of Jacksonville Beach – restaurants, shops, bars, festivals, Sea Walk Pavilion, life guard station and pier. Mayo Clinic is conveniently located 10 minutes away.

We purchased this very special and adorable cottage just steps from the beach and we spent tens of thousands of dollars renovating it back to it's former glory. We pride ourselves on providing an enjoyable relaxing vacation experience with nice furnishings and a beautiful setting and as a result we have many repeat customers that come back year after year.
This very rare and adorable 1934 beach cottage has been beautifully restored to its former glory days. It is located in the heart of Jacksonville Beach and only steps away from the ocean. It is easy walking distance to many shops, festivals, bars, clubs, and restaurants. Everything is right there.

And we are only 10 minutes away from the famous Mayo clinic and 15 minutes to the PGA Tour Headquarters and famous TPC Sawgrass Championship golf course with its new $80 million dollar club house and the annual PGA Tour Players Championship Tournament.

We are also just 30 minutes to beautiful St. Augustine, FL the Nations oldest city and a major tourist attraction in its own right.

Our cottage is suitable for just one couple, several couples, or a an entire family getaway or family reunion. For a smaller wedding, why not have your wedding on the beach and your reception at the Cottage. We have a huge private backyard, one of the largest at the beach where you can simply relax or even have your breakfast, lunch, or dinner in the privacy of your own backyard.

Check us out on Google Earth or Google Maps and you will see how close we are to the beach. We have a limited supply of beach chairs for the adults, and even beach toys for the kids.

We also have a beautiful fire pit for those chilly evenings or for a good old fashioned campfire like the old days. And of course don't forget our very own Tiki Hut / Bar in the backyard too. This is the perfect vacation getaway location.

Because we are in a residential neighborhood we simply ask you to respect the neighbors at night with common courtesy and the fact that they have to go to work in the mornings while you are on vacation.

We furnished this adorable cottage with nice furniture such as a rattan dining room set, and rattan living room furniture and we decorated the place like a home. You will feel it's your home away from home the moment you walk into this adorable cottage. The cottage still has original beautiful wood walls and wood floors almost throughout the entire house. The walls and floors are absolutely beautiful after our refinishing.

Our kitchen is stocked with cookware, dishes, utensils, glasses, and of course campaign glasses to start your vacation. The side-by-side fridge has ice and water in the door. You may just find yourself eating out in the terrific local restaurants within 5 or less than 5 minutes walking distance, or you'll appreciate the microwave and coffeemaker for your convenience too! Plus, you can also put something into crock pot and the food will be ready when you come back from beach. If not, you can throw chicken/steak/hamburger, etc. on the BBQ grill and enjoy your family picnic at the backyard. We recently added a cute surf board outdoor shower so that you can take a warm shower to rinse off all the sand.

A laundry room is equipped with washer, dryer to makes longer trips away from home easier.

Sheets, liens and towels will also be provided. The cottage is also furnished with HD TV , Blue Ray DVD player, and Roky, Sling, Netflex apps for your quiet time. W also provide WIFI internet service too, just in case you want to stay in touch with family/friends during your stay.

KJ Casita Del Mar is a very rare and adorable 1934 beach cottage which has been extensively renovated. It is located at the heart of Jacksonville Beach just steps from the ocean ( walk past one house ) and across from Ocean Park. Modern central air and heat, modern kitchen and bathrooms, but absolutely beautiful restored wood floors and walls throughout the cottage.

Our cottage is within easy walking distance to many shops, bars, night clubs, and restaurants. Everything it seems is within a few blocks of the cottage.

Since it is at the heart of Jax Beach, you can walk to all the events and festivals within a few minutes without worrying about finding or paying any parking.

Or simply relax enjoy your own very large private backyard with built in Charcoal Grill, or warm yourself next to the large stone firepit and also enjoy our completely detached Tiki Hut and 14' Tiki Bar located inside which can be locked and secured depending on family preference. We walked barefoot across the brick street into the grassy park and across the boardwalk directly to the beach. The house has great charm and gave us 1 week with our adult kiddos. It was so nice being under 1 roof again. I’m so grateful!! You will be pleased if you choose to book this home." - "Toaster does not work. The entire place could use a good dusting, i.e. blinds, objects hanging on walls, underneath beds, etc. The carpet in the master bed room was turned up and very easy to trip on. A serious liability issue. Duck tape for a couple of weeks may fix the problem. If not double side the tape so it adheres to the carpet and the floor. The stove and countertops were not clean. The toilet paper supply was inadequate for two people. The hot water for the shower was totally inadequate. The best result was warm water. This is very poor accommodations. Shower bars to hold on to would be welcomed for the 60+ age group. I am 79 and in great health BUT I need something to keep me stable in the shower."

The Space:
When you walk in the front door, you will immediately get the “beach living” vibes among the spacious layout tucked inside this 930 sq. ft. cottage.

Enter into the open living & kitchen area, complete with vaulted ceilings and ample sunlight to enjoy your morning coffee.

As you continue through, you will find the newly-renovated bathroom with neutral tones and walk-in shower.

You will find a King-size bed to your left, with a Smart TV— roomy enough to unpack and unwind with a double closet and ample storage.

To the right is a double Twin Bed Room, which can double as your private remote workspace with a desk.

The property includes a newly-installed washer/dryer in the laundry area off the kitchen. Here, you can access the private, enclosed outdoor area tucked away to the side of the property. You will find your complimentary beach cruisers here, which are the favorite mode of transportation for Jax Beach locals.

While the property is a townhome (identical unit to the rear), you’ll barely notice the neighbors: they are Jax Beach natives and always happy to recommend their favorite local eats and happening spots!

The Neighborhood:
After calling this cottage “home” for the last 6 years, I am excited to welcome you to my cute home and the neighborhood I’ve grown to love.

I most appreciate the easy-living of the area. Just 1 block away, or a 2-min walk, you’ll find almost everything you could need with a dozen retailers. Some of my favorites include: a local coffee shop (Roundbirds), a hair salon (Cortello), health & wellness (F45 Gym, Pilates on 3rd), local clothing boutique (Gypset & Pearl), and of course the famous Salt Life Restaurant (just to name a few!).

You can enjoy the heart of Jax Beach, also walkable, which includes the newly opened and renovated Jacksonville Beach Pier. Here, you will also find local nightlife hangs— dubbed “the beach bars”, like Lynch’s Irish Pub, Surfer The Bar, and Mangos.

If you’re bringing your pup, you’ll find many dog-friendly establishments and pet-friendly neighborhood with sidewalks. Don’t forget to checkout Brewhound only 3-miles away (your doggo will never want to leave, nor will you!).

The BEST part of the cottage on the proximity to the beach: it’s just 5 blocks to the sand, or you can bike there within minutes!

Getting Around:
Jacksonville Beach and the greater “Beaches” area (Neptune Beach, Atlantic Beach) is very bicycle friendly.

The property is within a 1-blocks radius of many local shops, restaurants and other conveniences.

Uber and Lyft are the fastest ways to get around. Or, you can get a ride for FREE to most areas within Jax Beach, Neptune Beach and Atlantic Beach with our transportation service— Beach Buggies (cash tips encouraged).

Park your car and bike or walk everywhere! We provide 2 bicycles, a bike pump, beach towels, beach chairs, kitchen (mini-fridge) washer & dryer. We've provided menus from our favorite restaurants within walking distance (there's so many!), and extra info for ideas of things to do nearby. We love this town, and we know you will too!

Other things to note
AC is provided by 3 window units. They work well and keep the place cool. Heat is provided by space heaters and one wall unit. There is no dishwasher. The refrigerator is a mini fridge and not full size. The shower works great, but it is old funky beach tile. The interior space is open, so the beds are not private. We have parking available for 1-2 vehicles, accessible via private alleyway, and additional off-street parking if needed for additional vehicles 1/2 block away on 5th St. NO pets, NO smoking inside, NO parties. Outdoor quiet time begins at 10:00 p.m.
