The circa 1900 single story Captain's Cottage (SVR-00096) is an exquisitely decorated 2 bedroom 2 bath cottage situated just 2 houses from Washington Square, perhaps Savannah's most beautiful square. From the front porch you can look across the street to see the famous, Pirate's House Restaurant & Tavern. The Cottage is decorated with a wonderful collection of period antiques as well as comfortable Southern style furnishings. One of the most striking features are the sparkling chandeliers scattered throughout the home.

The home features 2 bedrooms with queen beds; one with en-suite bath, comfortably sleeps 4. Each bed is covered with high quality linens, quilt coverlets and comfy pillows. The second full bath also features a new large capacity front load washer and dryer. Both baths are stocked thirsty towels.

The living room features 2 armchairs, comfy sofa and large television. There are 4 decorative fireplaces throughout the Cottage to add wonderful ambiance & charm.

The kitchen was renovated with granite countertops and all new stainless steel appliances including a full size refrigerator, range, microwave and dishwasher. The cabinets are fully stocked with all your cooking and dining needs; glassware and dinnerware for 8 as well a set of cookware, generous supply of bowls, utensil's and accessories. Also there is a coffee maker & toaster. The kitchen is complimented with a breakfast nook and crystal chandeliers.

The dining room hosts a 4 seat dining table with glass top which beautifully reflects the light of the chandelier above. Across the room is a lovely Victorian double framed mirror.

Just outside the side door, sits a petite stone courtyard and is perfect for enjoying that morning coffee, reading or an evening nightcap.

The Cottage is PET FRIENDLY so that you may bring your best friends on your perfect vacation. The petite courtyard is perfect for them to enjoy, as well as having Washington Square nearby. Our community is very dog friendly; the neighbors with their dogs gather in the Square in the afternoons and welcome our visitors join. It is also great fun to take them down to the dog park just a few blocks down. Many restaurants have outside dining and allow you to dine with your pups. Most will offer them a water bowl and a treat.

Ms. Opal's Cottage is an adorable two bedroom, two full bath vintage Tybee bead board cottage. It is located on the south end of the island near the back river and only a couple of blocks walk to the beach, pier, restaurants, and shops. Both bedrooms have a queen bed and each bedroom has a flat screen TV. One bathroom has a clawfoot tub/shower combo; 2nd bathroom has a walk-in shower (no tub). Kitchen has been beautifully updated with stainless steel appliances. With windows on three sides and southwestern exposure, the home has an abundance of natural light but also blackout shades for nightime. Private entrance with easy street parking nearby. Walk to all the best Savannah restaurants and stroll through Forsyth Park located 2 blocks away. Kroger's supermaket is 3 blocks away and our favorite coffee and sandwich shop, The Mate Factor is 2 blocks away. We have a full kitchen including a dishwasher and Moccamaster coffee maker, laundry facilities, a 60" TV, etc. You'll fall asleep to the lulling sounds of the courtyard fountain, relax in the interior designed by 1chicretreat.com, and will want to move to Savannah soon enough! We live on the other side of the courtyard and what we love about the neighborhood, aside from our neighbors, is that we can walk to all our favorite restaurants like Cotton and Rye, Husk, The Savoy, Common Thread, Elizabeth's on 37th St...the list goes on, but still sleep with the windows open because of how quiet it is.

We are located on Wilmington Island between Downtown Savannah and Tybee Island Beach. The max occupancy is for 2 people only. It is a beautifully decorated 410 sq ft renovation. Self check in. Private nook inside fenced area on a cute little creek with own parking(one car only), fire pit (one fire log upon request) , & patio with lounge chairs & misting fan & your own pool entrance. The pool is a sand filter, not chlorine. You will likely see sand debris on the bottom but it's mostly from the beach. The deck on the creek has a grill (charcoal for one meal upon request) & a dining table. The unit has a 56" TV (Wifi/Roku)and work desk. There are a couple of games along with a full size Wilmington Island checker board. We have super soft towels and sheets, comfy queen bed with an extra pillow & blanket. The ac/ heat is self controlled, please no lower than 72 & keep doors & windows closed to keep it from freezing up. The washer & dryer can only hold a 4 jeans load size. There is a bluetooth sound system via bathroom light. The kitchenette has a full apt size fridge, convection cook top(cast iron provided for it) microwave, large toaster oven, Keurig & coffee, toaster, with all the appropriate cookware, mixing bowls, etc. supplied. There's also an extra stored rolling countertop & extra storage in the kitchen cabinets. For your pleasure there is an under the sink water purifier filter system installed, no water bottles needed. There are beach chairs, beach umbrella & beach towels, all provided upon request. Please return to avoid fees. Anything that is needed, we live on the property and are usually always here, just ask/text. Absolutely no smoking in apt; there is a designated smoking area on the deck. Sorry, but this property is NOT kid friendly, and it is definitely NOT stroller or wheelchair friendly. Pet limit is 2 under 25lbs $100 per pet for staying longer than one week. $75 under one week. Shedding extra fee. Refundable deposit is $500 due to previous guests taking advantage. These are not adhered to you will be asked to leave the property.

The only negative was that the matress in the master bedroom sunk toward the middle making it difficult for 2 people to sleep. Since we weren't using the spare bedroom, my husband and I ended up sleeping on the two twin beds in that room for the last few nights. Check in and out was super easy. Overall a great experience."

Nestled on a preserved 1/4 acre of native land, our cottage is surrounded by lush trees, palm trees, and other indigenous vegetation.

Built in 2024, this cottage stands out as the coolest and most unique house on the street, if not in the entire county.

Despite its size of just under 900 square feet, it boasts a spacious look and feel that belies its actual dimensions. We've incorporated thoughtful details that we believe are important for our guests' comfort, such as outlets with smart charging capabilities, a light-up bathroom mirror with a defogger, floating nightstands, a smart TV, an electric fireplace, a 12-foot sloped ceiling, an EV charger, and more.

Located halfway between the charming Historic Downtown Savannah and the lively beaches of Tybee Island, both about 7 miles away, our cottage offers a convenient base. Nearby, you'll find grocery stores, pharmacies, bars, and restaurants for added convenience, although none are within walking distance, as this is strictly a residential neighborhood.

The 65” TV is a smart TV with a variety of apps that you can easily access using your own accounts.

Our tranquil neighborhood island is perfect for bike rides or leisurely strolls, providing a safe and secure environment away from major traffic.

There are 2 exterior cameras on the property. These cameras are in operation and record continuously. One camera, the Video Doorbell, is located at the front door, and the other camera, monitors the driveway. The presence of these cameras is to ensure safety and security. It records the entire time of your stay. We have it because some guests try to bring more people onto the property. This is not a home for parties or events of any kind. Only the number of people listed in the reservation are permitted on the property or in the house. Failure to comply will result in your reservation being cancelled. We do not allow guests to bring guests or visitors. And we do not it allow anyone who resides within 45 miles of Savannah to reserve our place.

Guests will need a vehicle as there are no businesses or major attractions within walking distance (2 miles.).

With 400 sq feet of space, this place is great for a corporate rental, SCAD student or someone who is working nearby and needs a flexible lease. Outdoor cameras for security. Minimum stay is 30 days plus and has many amenities, including all of your utilities, high speed internet, so that you do not have to worry about things like deposits for electricity etc. Has on site washer and dryer and private entrance. Must see! This diverse neighborhood is being renovated although is pretty quiet. Many homes still have the old charm they had but are being updated in various stages.

The space
This is a two bedroom, one bath cottage located in Richmond Hill, Georgia (we are approximately 30 miles from downtown Savannah, 48 miles from Tybee Island Beach, 62 miles from Hilton Head and 83 miles from Jeykll Island, Georgia. Richmond Hill is a small bedroom community and the cottage is located on our lot which consists of the main house and the little cottage. We are on the Tivoli River on a two acre lot. The setting is rural and away from hustle and bustle of city life which is why we located to this wonderful community. There is a Publix grocery store about five miles from the cottage and more shopping and restaurants approximately ten miles from the cottage. The cottage has two full size sofas and a chair in the living room, the kitchen is fully equipped and has a breakfast bar to seat four. There is directv in the living room and each bedroom has smart tv’s which will enable you to connect to your devices. The two bedrooms offer queen sized beds with large closet space. There is a large shared bath which features double sinks and a walk in shower. Fully handicapped accessible inside. No house phone. There are two small steps to get onto the porch of the cottage. Ceiling fans on the porches and inside. Ample parking for your vehicles. We do not offer breakfast with the booking. Please feel free to bring bicycles to ride around the neighborhood. Also there are two walking trails nearby that are wonderful - one is around a lake and the other is a paved path 3 or 4 miles long through a nature area.
Although we do offer internet it does drop occasionally but does reconnect fairly quickly. Cell phone service is great in the area so if you can use your phone or hotspot then you are all set. Due to summertime storms it has been known to take out our router/modem so if this booking is internet dependent this may not be the place for you. NO PETS ALLOWED - Although we love pets dearly we have had guests with severe allergies so we have chosen to be “pet free”.

The cottage is located on our property where we have our home. The cottage is a ample distance away but should you wish to explore the marsh please feel free to do so.

Other things to note
Our neighbors next door own one labrador, Abraham and two rescues, Thor and Koda. Both are very friendly and sweet and tend to visit if they discover you welcome them. We DO NOT allow any pets. As much as we love them, we have discovered that too many of our guests have allergies.

Our cottage features 3 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, & a modern kitchen. As a special treat, all guests receive a sample of Mermaid Morning Bliss coffee! We offer off-street parking up to 3 cars. A Pet Fee applies for furry friends, & we ask that you clean up after them. Please bring your own beach towels & gear, as they are not provided. There is NO DISHWASHER.

Guest access is a breeze with our lockbox system. Upon arrival, you’ll use the lockbox to access the home, and inside, you’ll find two additional keys for your convenience.

All rental properties are designated for residential use consistent with the City Of Tybee code. Prom groups, large groups, events, receptions, or like-kind events are not allowed.

Cars parked on premises shall not exceed the published parking capacity of the property. Cars must be parked in the driveway of the rental property. Parking in neighboring yards or driveways is prohibited.
