The toilet, tub, and floor looked clean but I kept smelling urine. There was a rug in the bathroom that didn’t have that fresh out of the dryer look, so I decided to wash it. Well, the urine smell was definitely coming from the rug! After washing it the urine smell was gone from the bathroom. I admit that I am one of those people that is going to clean a hotel or condo despite it supposedly being clean anyway. On the surface the condo was clean, but overall it definitely didn’t meet my cleanliness standards."

A unique, centrally located 1 bedroom rental with a pool and a yard full of flowering plants! Just 10 blocks from the beach in a wonderful neighborhood. Only a 3 block walk to a bakery, restaurants, brewery and such. 2 newly updated parks 8 blocks as well. Inside is a bedroom, spacious bathroom and extras that will help make your stay a memorable one. The only private pool in Jax Beach for less than $300/nt and also the only slide. The pavilion has comfy couches, just a few steps from your door. Plenty of shady places to chill in the back yard or grab a tan in the sun! Lawn games and pool floats as well. A stocked Kuerig with 12 coffee types to kick start the morning. For guests staying 3+ nights you can use the golf cart free for a few hours one day(or rent for cheap, info below). Lots of privacy, good times and relaxation to be had and… at the most inexpensive rental in town!

but, PLEASE continue to look at all the pics/description of the property in and out, to see if this is for you. We feel the space is great, but also realize it isn’t for everyone. So to make sure we ask to look thoroughly, so everyone is happy upon arrival. We feel the 2 room rental works great for 2 people, 3-4 if you have children. 4 adults are welcome if you are looking to save $, but may be tight while inside.

My biggest surprise: how many people chose to never leave the pool area for how relaxing and fun they found it! Also all of our repeat winter monthly renters!

A constant beach breeze thanks to being by the sports fields and so close to the ocean. Add in the pool’s slide cascading water into the pool and a tranquil afternoon is about to be had. Or grab the basketball for some hoops. Many people also like that 3 of my neighbors are police, so a very safe environment. We also do not charge for extra guests, laundry or have any hidden fees. We make sure to have the lowest($45) cleaning fee, since I do it myself and appreciate you staying here. You get a free parking spot in the pavemented driveway. Then only 20 easy steps past blooming plants to your door and backyard oasis. To enter the rental it’s only a 6” step up, so very accessible for kids and older folks. 10% off all rentals 28+ days. Only $25 for ALL fury friends if paid on the reservation($35 if late). So, please just remember to 1. add them to the reservation and 2. keep them off the bed/couch. All of these will save you quite a bit of $ to spend around town. Personalized lit up numeric keypad door lock making entrance easy and safe.

INSIDE: The queen bed has 4 pillows, the comfiest of sheets and 3 blankets to choose from. There are 2 Cimino 29.5” Sleepers(Wayfair) that double as a couch/ottoman. This is where guests 3 and 4 would sleep. All bedding and 4 extra pillows included. An AC-heater window unit to keep the room at your perfect temp and very quiet at just 55db. A large ceiling fan and there is also a standing fan in the closet to adjust to your comfort level. The 6’ mirror by the window is convenient for makeup and getting ready for the night out. Seven foot high windows, with shutter style blinds beautifully and easily adjust the very well lit area. After the sun sets gently thru the trees and bedroom blinds, 3 auto night lights make moving around the area simple. Also handy for when entering the rental at night, you can see very easily with all the lights off. 2 “touch” reading lamps are on each side of the bed, each with 3 brightness settings to not bother others sleeping. 4 folding tables for computer/eating. The area is also full of plants, often blooming.

The well lit bathroom has a large counter/mirror, beautiful plants and lots of storage. Stand alone shower and separate large soaking tub! Shampoo/conditioner/soap included. Lots of extras like Aloe and lotion(fresh Aloe plants outside to use as well:). Plug-ins keep the area smelling fresh.

2 Walk in closets : Large condiment stocked fridge, microwave, air fryer-pizza oven and Keurig. There also is a 2 burner plug in stovetop, pots, pans and silverware. 4 wine glasses. Spices. Large washing sink. Ironing board, iron and hair dryer. Even a back massager after a long day. Styrofoam cooler.

A washer/dryer are in the garage for those sandy clothes or drying water logged towels. We also have 2-3 bikes, backpack beach chairs and a set of Taylor Made golf clubs available upon request, no charge. 100’s of balls as well to choose from to use for a round. (Jax Beach Golf is only 1.5 miles away).

OUTSIDE: There is a year round pool that can be used anytime of day and night. With a slide! Plenty of seating, clean grill and plug in Edison lights at night. Lots blooming flowers border the the front and back yard. A 16’x8’ pavilion, with a constant breeze, is right outside your door for all seasons/weather with 5 seats. A hammock to also to relax on! 2 plastic patio loungers and 2 metal chairs as well. So plenty of comfy seating of all sorts and weather conditions. There are also yard games to play like ladder golf, bocce, lawn jarts and ring toss. A basketball hoop on the road and another in the pool. At night there are 4 solar lights on the sides/backyard of the house for safety. The rental also controls 2 pool side patio lights, one on each side of the keypad door. So if it is dark outside the back yard is always lit up. Ease, comfort and safety all night long. In the colder months we have a chiminea out back, stocked with wood for you to use. The back yard is also fenced for dogs/children and is grassy. Pool/beach towels and koozies are always under the pavilion. The keypad lock also lights up when pressed, no key needed. Got kids? While on the bed you can see the pool slide, front yard and a Netflix movie all at once. Kids: playing you: relaxing, worry free!

So simply a beautiful, safe and relaxed feeling with thoughtful touches around. We are so proud of it and we think it would make your trip to Jax Beach even more memorable!

We live on the property as well, but between school, working and camping we are gone a lot of the time. You will seldom see us and if so, you will notice us giving you your complete privacy at all times. The back yard pool area is yours the whole stay. While you are back there you will have it all to yourselves. When you are away from the rental we sometimes do use the pool area as well. We also share a 20’ wall(kinda like a condo), none of which is the bedroom and has been fully soundproofed with 3” foam. Zero noise.

*4pm check-in helps me with school pick up/cleaning the rental, but can usually be moved up. Same with 11am checkout, is usually lenient if we can! Just inquire. We would rather you sleep in or enjoy the pool before departing…

GOLF CART rental!! Take it to the beach, dinner or to see the area in such a fun way for the day. 2 comfy seats up front, 2 in the back for all ages(2 back seat belts). Covered in festive stickers from all our travels. Rent the VRBO for 3+ days and you can use the cart for free for a few hours one day. Monthly renters can use it once weekly for free for a few hours. $100/day or $50 for 3 hours to rent it after that.

!!!LOCALS!!! rent if for company coming in town and use the pool. Get the in-laws out of your hair every night, into a clean, chill and safe place that has a pool you can use with them!!

-or- Rent this property along with a larger one(a few are in walking distance). Nobody needs to sleep on the old couch everyone just sat on all night. Cheap nightly rental to split and pool to use for all.

Safe Neighborhood - Jax Police Sheriff lives directly across the street in case of emergency, but no jurisdiction to impede your fun. There is an outside outlet by your door for chargers and cooking outside. Very comfy outside furniture that is lightweight(5lbs) to easily move around for your sun/shade/yard preference.

Our interaction is solely based on your preference. You won’t see or hear much of me while you are here. Either way, much less than a hotel of constant foot traffic and noise. I feel you deserve the P&Q you paid for and deserve. But, if you feel more comfortable meeting me, please let me know. Easy to slide "almost blackout" curtains along your wall of oceanfront glass.
There are 2 private bedrooms in a split layout for privacy – large, primary bedroom with king bed and 2nd bedroom with queen bed. New mattresses and super-comfortable (I am often asked what the king mattress is!). Minimum 4 bed pillows per room, 2 firm and 2 softer. Remote controlled Hunter ceiling fans in both bedrooms and living room. Ceiling fan in the kitchen too.

There are TWO reserved parking spaces with one in the gated, under-building garage and the other outside. Gate remote is provided for your car. Locked gates on all entrances to the building. There are Video cameras on the exterior of the building and a Ring video on the unit's entrance door for your security (checked only at arrival to assure correct number of guests staying in unit. I am not interested in surveillance!).

There is a large deck box attached to your parking space that holds much of the beach stuff.

ALL LINENS are washed after EVERY guest, including bath rugs, throw blankets etc.

Sunshine Cottage has the character and appeal that only a historic home can offer - original heart pine wood floors, fireplace, windows, doors and knobs, and built-in cabinets. While historic, the cottage has lovingly been renovated and includes all the modern amenities to keep you comfortable, without losing that vintage coastal charm.

Sunshine Cottage offers two quaint bedrooms. Perfect for a couple or small family and comfortably sleeps four. The first bedroom features a queen sized bed and TV. The second bedroom features twin beds.

The dining room table seats six and allows plenty of space for gathering for meals. Original built-in cabinets provide extra storage space for guests and showcase the craftsmanship from years ago. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking essentials, glassware and dinnerware. A full size washer and dryer are located directly off the kitchen in an enclosed porch.

All your beach necessities are housed in a storage shed in the fully fenced backyard – bikes, beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards and beach toys. There is also a gas grill and pavered seating area.

You are within walking or biking distance to the heart of Jacksonville Beach – restaurants, shops, bars, festivals, Sea Walk Pavilion, life guard station and pier. Mayo Clinic is conveniently located 10 minutes away.

Monthly basis only! Please contact host! Master Suite w/private bathroom only! The other two rooms are occupied by two professional women, a banker and a nurse in their 50's. The condo is 5 minutes to beach by car and 15min by bike. Bike is available upom request! This place is ideal for anyone who is planning to move to Jax Beach or is building their home nearby! Or wants to get to know the area before committing to a rental lease!

The space
The 3 bedroom/2 bathroom condo is located on the top level (2nd floor) of 10 attached Townhouses. There are 20 buildings, each having 10 attached townhouses in the Villas of Marsh Landing Community.. This community has a 24/7 access to a gym and pool which is in walking distance. There are many restaurants and grocery stores 5 mins by car and you can even walk to some.

This is a great space as you have a living room and bedroom that can be closed off from each other.

The space
This is a large two room apartment attached to a house. Each area is separate which works well with a couple with a child or friend to sleep on the sofa.

We are on property most of the time to take care of any of your needs in a short space of time. We appreciate our guests and your stay is very important to us. If you have any problems or concerns, please give us the opportunity to address them.

We are in Florida, so once in a while an uninvited guest appears. We have pest control that comes every month. We can always call them if something needs addressing. Have a great stay and welcome to our little house.

We may never meet, as we, as well as you, are busy with our lives, but we are always available if you need us.
