Low season meant it was not crowded and there are so many little spaces to hang out that it felt private. The design is gorgeous while feeling relaxed. Art, found objects, and hammocks line the walls, tons of candles illuminate the space in the evening, absolutely lovely. Breakfast was delicious and beautiful! - "Our stay at Mansion Giahn was a great start to our Mexican adventure. I was looking for a place close to the airport since our flight arrived late and we didn't want to drive far (we rented a car and were headed to Mahahual the next day). We had no problem finding the place using the map app on our phone. Parking isn't obvious - it's not the gate facing the main entrance but further down the street you'll see an alley-like road and you access parking through that. Joseph was there to greet us and show us around. Our room was clean and comfortable and worked well for our family of 6. We were provided with an extra bed which they set up for us. There was a woman cooking breakfast (additional cost) the next morning but we wanted to get on the road so we didn't eat there. I think I would describe the house as eclectic with a splash of quirkiness. My four kids (16+) thought it had some very cool features and enjoyed the uniqueness of the place. We were extremely grateful to Joseph for fronting us some pesos (we only had USD) to go grab a late dinner with the locals. The house is located in a neighborhood so you most likely need wheels to get around. Overall great place ... thanks Joseph!"

Cancun downtown may not be a historical or old interesting city but it is a very convenient place, specially where we are located, all services within walking distance, having a convenient store open 24 hours on the corner is wonderful, a very nice local market only 2 blocks, , a big supermarket only 4 blocks with quality products, so many local restaurants, a very fun park (las Palapas) with food stands, hippiesand local artists displaying the hand made ítems for sale, and small places to sit on the sidewalks, that offer drinks and food (regional snacks), local artists, every night 6 pm to 11 pm, a place where hundreds of locals gather for some entertainment, this park is only a 10 min walk from our place,

All transportation is around the corner, either to go to the nicest beaches in the world in a few minutes or Mayan sites or take a day trip and comeback, however downtown is mostly local,close and far at the same time form the touristy places,really easy Access to/from the Cancun airport by shuttle
