Yuille Cottage is in the township of Buninyong, 11 km south of Ballarat.
We are walking distance to our local Hotel, or the many Cafes the town has to offer.
Close to the Supermarket, Chemist and Bakery, this cottage is in the perfect location.
Take in the many walks that the area has to offer or maybe some golf, tennis or bike riding; mountain biking or road cycling.
Buninyong has been home to the Australian Road Racing championships where you could take on the challenging 12 km circuit including the Mt Buninyong 'King of the Mountain'.
A 10-minute drive into Ballarat is a short distance to visit Sovereign Hill, Ballarat Wildlife park, Lake Wendouree and the many historic buildings and landscapes of Ballarat.
There is a bus stop just a short 5-minute walk away which takes you into Ballarat and there is off street parking available on site.

A welcoming cottage in the heart of Ballarat. Just minutes walk to the CBD with plenty of restaurants and shopping outlets, movies, bars, supermarkets, hospitals, train station, public transport and the historic architecture Ballarat has on offer. The cottage comfortably caters for six people but I can accommodate an extra two people with quality air beds and linen. The cottage is within a 10 minute walk to Lake Wendouree. There are plenty of family friendly activities within reach such as Kryal Castle, The Eureka Stockade Museum swimming pools, sovereign hill, city library, skate park, parks and more.

Unwind in the cosiness of this cottage style home with all the mod cons such as central heating, air conditioning, spa, cooking facilities and wi-fi. I have just included electric blankets on all beds to add extra comfort for my guests in winter.

- "We really enjoyed our stay. The house was comfortable, renovated and very clean. Central heating worked well and kept the house toasty warm. Beds were comfortable, enough pillows, blankets and lovely plush doonas. Kitchen well equipped, though knives a bit blunt. Large table easily seated 6. Backyard was beautiful, plenty of seating and grass. Note, small dogs could possibly get out on left hand side of container and under rear fence. We had to block off that side of the container for our small labradoodle. Still had heaps of space to run."

The bathroom boasts a luxurious claw foot bath tub - perfect for relaxing in while you enjoy your home away from home.

The house has a large open plan living/dining area and adjoining kitchen which is fully stocked for those inclined. There is an extensive library for those wanting to relax with a good book.

A short walk to the nearby cafes and shops of Golden Point, as well as the famous Sovereign Hill, Attunga is the perfect spot for your Ballarat getaway.

Ballarat is a very accessible city and there is plenty of parking available. We are located conveniently on a bus route so if you prefer to take public transport this is an easy option. The city also has access to e-scooters that can be rented to get around town and see the sites.

Maggie May is the cutest little 1850's miners cottage located in a quiet street and is close to Ballarat CBD, Sovereign hill and the Ballarat Wildlife Park...but did you know that during the gold rush miners cottages were constructed in sections so they can be easily picked up and moved about the goldfields, this was true for Maggie May as in her lifetime she has moved 3 times. A gorgeous two/three-bedroom pet friendly cottage in the heart of Newington. 1 lounge and bed/dining room. Bedrooms with built in robes. Kitchen with gas cooktop and electric wall oven. The house is a short walk into town and a stones throw away from vic park which has a large playground, off leash dog area and a great walking track.

We have partially renovated the property with the front two bedrooms having double glazed windows and are fully insulated. The kitchen and bathroom area is slighty dated but very clean and neat. The ducted heating does a good job at keeping the house super warm during the winters and the split system works well for summers.

This house offers cheap accommodation compared to other properties and has the added benefit of being pet friendly (no pets on furniture). We offer the full house which has a fully enclosed yard aswell for full privacy.

The photos that look newer are dated and that furniture has moved with us. I have left them at the end as they give a better idea of the room layouts as it was taken by a professional not a phone camera.

"Stone Cottage" was built in 1862 from local bluestone and was lovingly restored in 2014. We are adjacent to Woowookarung Regional Park, popular for bush walking and mountain bike riding. Stone Cottage offers old world charm with modern amenities. You will not be sharing with any others. The main bedroom has a queen size bed & the main sitting area has a single bed. . A fully equipped kitchen allows for longer stays. (Ballarat CBD 10 mins; Shops-5 mins)

The space
Our cottage is unique in the Ballarat area, as it is constructed from free-stone rock and mud. It was built in 1862 and lay derelict for 60 years. We renovated it in 2014 and won two Heritage awards for our work. The cottage overlooks Canadian Creek, which runs through the Woowookarung Regional Park. Our property is adjacent to native bush with grass trees, native flowers and gold mining remains. Bush tracks allow for walks or bike rides. For those that want a more relaxed stay, you can just sit on the back deck and enjoy the vista of gum trees along the creek. You may be lucky enough to see visiting kangaroos, wallabies or the occasional koala.

The house has a fenced off backyard, so your furry friends are welcome! There is a large timber deck from which you have views of the Ballarat City skyline.

There are 3 bedrooms that sleeps up to 6 people - 1 queen bed, 1 double bed and 2 single beds and desk, set up as a work from home space.

There is a bath with a shower overhead and a laundry with a washing machine and dryer.

Features of the home include an updated kitchen and meals area, separate central lounge room with gas heating, air-conditioning and gorgeous period details throughout.

The laundry is accessed from outside the kitchen door.

There are no fly screens on the front windows, however there are 2 portable ones that you can sit under an open.

THE COOPERAGE was built in 1896 for one of the Ballarat Bertie Brewery's finest coopers - John Nice. This 4-bedroom Victorian Cottage is situated on a corner block with beautifully manicured gardens. Over the years, Ballarat's highly sought-after builders extended this house and added an amazing lantern style roof to bring an abundance of natural light in this beautiful home. THE COOPERARE is a short walk to CBD, cafes and specialty shops or a short drive to most of the Ballarat attractions.

The space
The Cooperage is a single level, Spacious 4-bedroom historic cottage with modern meals and kitchen areas. It has a bathroom with shower and spa bath and a separate toilet.

Guests can use all the rooms of the house and the surrounding garden. All the antique fireplaces in the house have been painstakingly restored but cannot be lighted for safety reasons. Garage is not accessible for the guests but there is a long driveway at the back of the property for private parking.

Free off street parking is also available on either side of the house at Eddy Street and James Street

Malakai Farm stay in situated just 10 Minutes from Ballarat on the Sunraysia Hwy. We have been farming Miniature Donkeys for the past 15 years. We welcome you to come and meet our animals and enjoy the relaxing country atmosphere.

The space
Our fully self contained cottage has loads of appeal. Situated in its own area on the farm, you will enjoy the privacy to sit and enjoy the quite ambience of the farm. Set above Burrumbeet creek and looking over the entire farm a great photo opportunity awaits. The cottage itself has two bedrooms, kitchen and Dining, a lounge area and a front porch over looking the garden, as well as it own laundry area. All of this is situated just 2 Minutes from Miners Rest which has an IGA, General Store and great little pub.

Other things to note
Malakai Farm Stay is only a 15 minute drive to Ballarat, 30 Minutes to Daylesford and 1.5 hours from Melbourne. If you are heading to Adelaide and need a stop over, we are only a 2 minute drive off the western freeway.

Other points of interest, gateway to the Pyrenees wineries, Grampians National park and Ballarat’s Sovereign Hill.

A historic miners cottage in Ballarat’s oldest neighbourhood. Alder House is a 10 minute walk to Sovereign Hill and a few minutes drive to the heart of Ballarat.

The cottage is self contained with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, laundry, well equipped kitchen, outdoor patio, and a gorgeous garden with plenty of blooms and herbs to pick.

The bedrooms have plush, queen sized beds with luxurious linens, fluffy doonas and there are plenty of pillows to choose from.

The kitchen is perfectly equipped to cook a feast or to whip up a cheese board. It includes an electric oven and gas stove; full sized fridge, kettle and toaster; microwave and a wide range of utensils, pots and pans. Also supplied are a large range of pantry staples, teas, chai, hot chocolate, breakfast spreads, milk of your preference and quality ground coffee to make on the coffee machine.

The bathroom has a shower and separate bath to soak in after a day of exploring with body wash supplied from Leif.

In the sitting room, enjoy a game of cards, flip through the magazines, or simply enjoy a film.

The French doors open to the gorgeous patio with a dining table surrounded by roses, forget-me-nots and a lush green wall.

There is plenty of street parking and one secure garage attached to the house. A lockable shed is also available if you need to secure larger valuables such as bikes.

Please note: this is a 120+ year old home and comes with the beauty of age! You can expect modern day luxuries with some old age imperfections.

Maggie May is the cutest little 1850's miners cottage located in a quiet Street and is close to Ballarat CBD, Sovereign hill and the Ballarat Wildlife Park. She is newly renovated, whilst retaining her traditional and charming authentic self she has been thoughtfully and beautifully decorated. By day enjoy in friends, couples or family fun time in a game of backyard finska, by night chats and giggles by the fire pit or watch your favourite Netflix series and then cozy up in a comfortable bed.

The space
Maggie May is a wee little thing!!!

Master bedroom: there is room for storing clothes in a chest of drawers. If you wish to hang clothes there is a hanging rack in the laundry. There is also a TV mounted in the corner if guests wish to watch tv. The bed is queen size, the is super comfy and is made up with quality adairs bedding and a quality quilt/doona.

2nd bedroom: there is room to store clothes in our very funky ‘mustard’ brand locker. Once again if you wish to hang clothes you can use the hanging rack in the laundry. The bed is double size and has the same high quality mattress and adairs (different style of course) bedding as the master bedroom. The fire place should not be lit as the chimney is blocked at the top.

Lounge room: the lounge room has the reverse cycle heating/cooling controller attached to the wall for easy access. The TV runs Netflix. Inside the tv unit you can find games and toys - we ask that they are packed away after use please.

Kitchen: we have a pretty good supply in the pantry for guests to help themselves to during their stay. We provide a basic breakfast and teas and coffee including a coffee pods machine.

Laundry: we have a washing machine and supplies for guests. There is also an air drying rack and a clothes rack for hanging shirts etc.

Bathroom: towels etc are provided as are shampoo, body wash, etc. Some people could find the toilet to be a tight squeeze as Maggie May is little!

Outdoors: there is a deck with coffee table and chairs and a fire pit. We provide some fire wood.

Infants: provided for guests is a baby gate, portacot and bedding, travel change mat for floor, high chair and baby bath.

Guests can access the entire property. We do keep a couple locked cupboards in our laundry for supplies.

Other things to note
We have a baby gate available for guests to set up for the stairs down to the office. We are child friendly but we do have some decor around that could be within reach but leave it to guests discretion on whether they think they need to move items out of reach to avoid breakages.

Please note due to other animals on nearby properties, we are a pet free accommodation so cannot accept any pets during your stay. Any service animals must be accompanied by the required paperwork.

Also please note that even though the cottage has been renovated, the home is still a historic miners cottage so it won't be perfectly level, creak free or super modern like new homes, it has its own charm and character :)

Offers stunning views in a peaceful setting. The adaptable floor plan is suitable for couples, families or small groups. The space
The cottage is suitable for up to four persons (two couples) if complete privacy is wanted - Upstairs master bedroom (Bedroom 1) and downstairs bedroom (Bedroom 2).

Alternatively the cottage can accommodate up to 7 - 8 guests for families with children or close knit groups as upstairs living (depicted on floor plan in photos) has been converted to (bedroom 3) with permanent Queen bed. This bedroom is separated from the Master bedroom (bedroom 1) with bi fold doors. Bedroom 3 also has sofa bed that can be made up on request adjacent to Queen bed. (Suitable for children or persons happy to share a bedroom).

There is also provision for a fifth bed (fixed pull down queen bed housed in cupboard) in downstairs living/kitchen. This bed is really only suitable for use if guests are happy to sacrifice space/privacy as it does intrude into room and designed to be made up at bedtime (all linen and donnas supplied)

The cottage has one Master bathroom with toilet and shower and second shower room with basin.

Access to the second toilet with hand basin is external but under the cottage roof line.

The cottage has two 7 kw reverse cycle heating/cooling units. (one upstairs and one downstairs) and portable heater in bathroom.

The property grounds are for guests enjoyment. (In winter guests should bring suitable footwear as lower parts of the property can get wet) The private lake is stocked with Rainbow, Brown and Tiger Trout. (BYO rods or available on prior request). BBQ facilities are available at rotunda.

The property also houses a private cricket pitch/cricket ground suitable for families in warmer months (Late spring to early autumn)
