Seamist Cottage was built in 2015 and is a modern, one bedroom house centrally located in Apollo Bay, one block back from the Great Ocean Road. It is a 2 minute walk to the supermarket, cafes and shops and one minute to the beach.

There is a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, cook top, oven, microwave and fridge. There is a north facing deck that captures all day sunshine and a BBQ and outdoor furniture.

The cottage has air-conditioning/heating, internet access, off-street parking, en-suite bathroom with double shower plus washing machine.

* Dogs are welcome to stay and can go inside. Garden is fully fenced. Please tell me about your dog in your enquiry. No extra charge. Cats not permitted to stay.

The bedroom is upstairs with a beautiful timber federation style queen bed. The large dormer window frames one of the most beautiful views of the valley looking out as far as Cape Paton. You don't even have to get out of bed to enjoy the view. Downstairs are all your amenities, bathroom with a spa-bath and separate shower. Full kitchen with all your cooking needs provided for including microwave. stove top and oven.
Wood fire,(all wood supplied) TV, DVD player, IPOD docking station. Spacious verandah with outdoor furniture and garden. We have a magnificent variety of bird life that will drop by now and again while your sitting on the deck taking in the views and listening to the sounds of the sea.
Only a 4 minute car drive back to shops, restuarants and beach. There is also a taxi service in Apollo Bay.

The main Hideaway Cottage spreads over two levels with an open plan kitchen dining and lounge filled with creature comforts and a wood burning stove that will be set ready for you to snuggle up to. Relax on the comfortable leather lounge and enjoy the north facing French doors that open up to the pergola covered terrace with magnificent views across the garden to the Otway Ranges.

Under the pergola the hammock swings lazily, beckoning guests to lay back and take in the relaxing atmosphere.

A Scandia Combustion stove and antler chandelier are strong features of the fully equipped kitchen. A staircase carved from Tasmanian oak leads you to the two bedrooms on the second floor with beautiful sunrises seen from the master and the feel of being nestled at the top of the gum trees from the second bedroom. The bedrooms are adjoined by a partition which is perfect for families with young children.

For those who need more space or bookings larger than 4 guests, for an extra charge of $80 (+ normal extra guest charges) you will have access to the Tuck-Away Cabin. Nestled within the ferns sleeps a further three to four guests. This rustic cosy wood cabin is perfect for the teenagers seeking their own space with friends, including heater, TV and a large selection of DVDs.
Located approximately 50m from the main cottage, this is NOT included in when booking the entire property. The Tuck-away Cabin is not ever booked separately to other guests- only as overflow from your booking.

I hope you're hungry! We have recently added a built-in outdoor Pizza oven, fire pit and BBQ. The garden boasts many fruit and ornamental trees, including apple, olive, hazelnut, avocado, walnut, nectarine, oak, bunya and woolamai pines, beech, flowering cherry and flowering gum. For young families, a tree fort, swing and plenty of areas of the garden await to be explored, including the glow worms just outside of the property.

From the property you can access via a short drive the beautiful beaches of Apollo Bay or continue along the Great Ocean Road and take in the grandeur of the Twelve Apostles.

The key safe is outside the front door, upon booking you will be sent the code for the key safe to allow access to the house.

Killala Road meanders it way high into the hills above Apollo Bay.
The views of rolling hills are amazing with a mix of lush forests and farmland.
The road is gravel and quite narrow but take your time and it's safe and accessible by all cars.

You will need your own car for getting to Hideaway Cottage and back into town.

The drive is approximately 15 minutes outside Apollo Bay, it is on a narrow unsealed road, so just be prepared to take your time and it is probably better to try and drive during daylight hours as then you will get to see the Koalas, kangaroos and rabbits.

Pets must be confirmed and paid for prior to arrival.

This house is perfect for a digital cleanse, there are some reception black spots but you can receive Telstra connection. Other carriers may have issues.

*** All rubbish and waste must be removed from the property by each guest by the end of their booking as there is no rubbish collection on Killala Road.
I suggest you take your daily rubbish into town with you so it doesn't accumulate.
If it is a large quantity you can take to the transfer station at 10-18 Arthur Court, Apollo Bay or you can use the public bins on the along the foreshore. We proviode plenty of bags for you.

The space

The master bedroom has crisp, quality linen and a TV, and the second bedroom sleeps five in a double and a tri bunk. The family bathroom has been stylishly designed, and is perfect for showering after long days on the beach. There is reverse cycle air conditioning/heating that heats or cools the house in minutes and the garden features mature trees bringing privacy and shade on hot days.

If you’re looking for a private and peaceful getaway, nestled among the rolling hills, whilst being just 3.5km from the township of Apollo Bay, welcome to Barham Hill Retreat.
Guests can explore the 40 acre conservation property walking along well-established tracks which winds through the property viewing the magnificent manna gums and stringybarks of the Otway foothills. You will have an opportunity to see an abundance of wildlife including koalas, wallabies and many birds.

The space
Barham Hill is a one-bedroom self-contained cottage set on the top of the hill, giving you expansive views of the foothills Forrest. It’s common for wallaby's and birds to visit you whilst you sit on your private balcony for a cuppa or cook dinner on the BBQ. We provide a selection of local teas and coffee and kitchen basics such as pepper, salt, sugar, olive oil are all provided.

Inside the cottage is a queen bed. There is also a fold out sofa bed suitable for family, friends or kids. Beds are supplied with quality linen and bedding. Towels are supplied. Codes for internet are in the cottage.

The Cottage is heated with a luxurious wood fireplace for you to use, with all firewood provided. We will set the fire for you in case you want to light it.

The property is only a 5-minute drive from Apollo Bay. It is a perfect spot to explore the Great Otway National Park, Great Ocean Walk, Twelve Apostles, cool temperate rainforests, waterfalls and the many other attractions in our region.

If you just wish to enjoy the nature around you and snuggle up with a good book, then the cottage is also perfect. In the Cottage you will find some and lots of books including reference guides to the flora and fauna you will find in the Otways. You will also find some binoculars, information about our conservation plans for the property and refences to the history of the Otways. For those who love birdwatching this property wont disappoint!

At the property we have a much-loved dog, Clarke who is super friendly adores a pat. Clarke may greet your arrival with a bark but otherwise is super friendly. We also have a resident Shetland Pony - Sammy who keeps the grass down behind the property to reduce our bushfire risk. You are welcome to fed Sammy, he likes chopped up carrots.

Behind the cottage is the chicken coup, fruit orchard and beehives. You may see the hens free ranging around the property.

Blackwood Cottage is one of three guest cottages found at Tall Trees Eco retreat. Set up amongst the trees this cottage has the perfect vantage point of the surrounding forest which is a haven for bird life and other native animals. Blackwood Cottage has two bedrooms, a balcony with views over the valley, a fully equipped kitchen, gas bbq and private spa bath.

The space
A great place to disconnect, no mobile phone reception and limited satellite internet from reception only. Great place to relax and unwind or use it as a base to explore the Great Ocean Road.

The property is 170 acres of forest, fern gullies and partially cleared grazing land. We have several walking tracks and glow worms that can be seen at night. We have a small herd of Alpacas that roam freely and can often be seen sitting outside the cottages

Guest access
Barham River Road is quite narrow and windy so please drive carefully.
Recent storms have left the road with some damage due to landslips. Just prior to our driveway the road has collapsed on the left hand side rendering it single lane only.

Other things to note
Tariffs are based around numbers of guests staying. The numbers of guests staying and or bedding requirements needed will determine whether the Queen or Single bedrooms are accessible or not. The Queen & Single bedrooms will be made accessible based on the number of extra adults or children selected. Singles wanting bedrooms / beds for a single sleeper will absorb a surcharge. Infants stay free when sleeping with parents in a Queen bed / bedroom.

The space
Whitehawks is a modern newly constructed one bedroom cottage. This beautifully laid out space offers open plan living, lounge and dining with wood burning fire place. Smart TV with streaming platforms. The large bedroom boasts a super comfy king size Sleeping Duck Mach II bed, there is a separate bathroom with shower and heated towel rails. All linen and towels are supplied. The galley kitchen has everything you'll need to cook up a storm, Induction stove top, Neff oven, Bosch dishwasher, Delonghi coffee machine. Extra fast satellite star link Wifi. Private deck with BBQ and outdoor bath, so you can soak up some nature while soaking yourself overlooking the Otway forest.
Please also note the water supply is tank water which is perfectly safe to drink (actually tastes better than town water!).
The hosts residence is situated on the hill behind the cottage. Far enough away from the cottage to ensure privacy. There is only need for interaction with guests if assistance is required with exploring the property or any problems should arise.

The large front windows of the cottage do not have blinds so the view is constant!

The cottage is surrounded by stunning Otway forest with your own private walk down to the Elliot river. The walk down to the river is quite steep in some sections but well worth the effort. The lush ferny rainforest at the bottom is like another world so you wont mind huffing and puffing back up the hill for that well deserved drink!
There is 21 acres to explore with an abundance of bird and wildlife.

Other things to note
Guests are welcome to bring well behaved pets. There is fencing but not potentially escape proof. Please note in the warmer months the presence of snakes is something to be aware of.

Our renovated cottage is the perfect place for an adult weekend away; ideal for a couple or a couple of couples and just 800m walk to the beach!

The updated kitchen has given the cottage new life; enjoy a coffee or wine at the new island bench or cook up a storm with a fully equipped kitchen or the BBQ on he back deck. The dining table extends out to comfortably seat 6.

The new bathroom is light and bright, with shower, toilet and floor heating (perfect for winter nights!), a second toilet is located in the laundry plus there's an outdoor shower to enjoy (with hot water!) after your beach days.

If you're staying longer there's a front load washing machine and dryer on site as well as iron and ironing board.
Dogs are very welcome to stay as long as this is communicated at the time of booking. We ask that pets don't climb on the furniture.

Guest access
The Bay House is all yours while you stay. Park in the carport with extra space in the driveway and on the nature strip out the front.

Other things to note
You'll find everything you need to enjoy your time away including linen (bedding, towels, beach towels), kitchen basics (including coffee pods, tea, sugar etc) and bathroom essentials (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash).

Apple Tree Cottage is a free-standing cottage situated in the Barham River Valley, a mere 8–10-minute drive from central Apollo Bay.

The space
Nestled in the heart of the serene landscapes of Willowshire Cottages, Apple Tree Cottage stands as a perfect haven for couples yearning for a peaceful and tranquil escape. This charming Storybook Cottage is one of three accommodations, located in the rainforest valley of Barham River Road, is a mere eight to ten minutes’ drive from Apollo Bay. Be enchanted by the views of the private lake and grounds and connect with nature in an area of natural beauty known as ‘Paradise’; with its wildlife and pebbled streams, whilst still being able to enjoy all that the Great Ocean Road and its beaches has to offer.

The cottage is equipped with everything that you should need to make your stay a magical one. Enjoy a wine in front of the fire, relax in the spa bath for two before retiring to your bed made comfortable with crisp white linens. Alternatively, you may wish to cook yourself a barbecue and enjoy it sitting on Adirondack chairs overlooking the ornamental lake. A kitchen, smart television, sound bar and Wifi offers you all the comforts of home. You may see ducks, king parrots, echidnas, koalas, wallabies and, if you are lucky, glow worms.

The space
Old Tuxion Cottage offers 4 bedrooms plus a small spare room/games room with a fold down sofa bed. It comfortably sleeps 8-10 people (3 queen beds, 1 set of bunks, all with electric blankets, and 1 double sofa bed) and is ideal for large families, more than one family, large groups of friends or couples sharing. Please note it is a renovated old style cottage, dating back to when the Great Ocean Road was being constructed.
There are two (2) bathrooms, one with old style deep bath and shower over the bath, and the other with a double shower. Both bathrooms include toilets within. The house is child friendly and accessible by wheelchair, although please note that it is not equipped with hand rails in bathrooms etc, and bathroom door widths are too narrow to accommodate wheelchairs.
For meals and entertaining there is an expansive deck (partly covered) with an outdoor table setting for 8 people – take your pick: the coastal outlook or the garden. There is also a meals area adjacent to the “cottage kitchen" and a gas BBQ.
The living room is also spacious and has large windows/sliding doors opening onto the deck. There is a fireplace for winter comfort and a large TV, as well as a VCR/DVD player and an iphone dock. A difficult choice: sit back and watch the weather roll in, the coastal views and action, the fire burning, or the TV – all within 180'!

The fully self-contained kitchen combines old and new. There are modern appliances such as a large electric hotplate and oven, microwave and sandwich maker, as well as an old wood burner stove that is terrific in the colder months for heating, and for cooking homemade bread, roasts or pizzas! There is a dishwasher and a large fridge/freezer, as well as a separate drinks fridge.

The main Hideaway Cottage spreads over two levels with an open plan kitchen dining and lounge filled with creature comforts and a wood burning stove that will be set ready for you to snuggle up to. Relax on the comfortable leather lounge and enjoy the north facing French doors that open up to the pergola covered terrace with magnificent views across the garden to the Otway Ranges.

Under the pergola the hammock swings lazily, beckoning guests to lay back and take in the relaxing atmosphere.

A Scandia Combustion stove and antler chandelier are strong features of the fully equipped kitchen. A staircase carved from Tasmanian oak leads you to the two bedrooms on the second floor with beautiful sunrises seen from the master and the feel of being nestled at the top of the gum trees from the second bedroom. The bedrooms are adjoined by a partition which is perfect for families with young children.

For those who need more space or bookings larger than 4 guests, for an extra charge of $80 (+ normal extra guest charges) you will have access to the Tuck-Away Cabin. Nestled within the ferns sleeps a further three to four guests. This rustic cosy wood cabin is perfect for the teenagers seeking their own space with friends, including heater, TV and a large selection of DVDs.
Located approximately 50m from the main cottage, this is NOT included in when booking the entire property. The Tuck-away Cabin is not ever booked separately to other guests- only as overflow from your booking.

I hope you're hungry! We have recently added a built-in outdoor Pizza oven, fire pit and BBQ. The garden boasts many fruit and ornamental trees, including apple, olive, hazelnut, avocado, walnut, nectarine, oak, bunya and woolamai pines, beech, flowering cherry and flowering gum. For young families, a tree fort, swing and plenty of areas of the garden await to be explored, including the glow worms just outside of the property.

From the property you can access via a short drive the beautiful beaches of Apollo Bay or continue along the Great Ocean Road and take in the grandeur of the Twelve Apostles.

The key safe is outside the front door, upon booking you will be sent the code for the key safe to allow access to the house.

Other things to note
The drive is approximately 15 minutes outside Apollo Bay, it is on a narrow unsealed road, so just be prepared to take your time and it is probably better to try and drive during daylight hours as then you will get to see the Koalas, kangaroos and rabbits.

Pets must be confirmed and paid for prior to arrival.

This house is perfect for a digital cleanse, there are some reception black spots but you can receive Telstra connection. Other carriers may have issues.

*** All rubbish and waste must be removed from the property by each guest by the end of their booking as there is no rubbish collection on Killala Road.
I suggest you take your daily rubbish into town with you so it doesn't accumulate.
If it is a large quantity you can take to the transfer station at 10-18 Arthur Court, Apollo Bay or you can use the public bins on the along the foreshore. We proviode plenty of bags for you.
