Lola's cottage is a well appointed two-bedroom cottage with neutral tones and country modern decor. Drenched in natural sunlight, this lovely cottage offers convenience, a timber deck and a grassy backyard. Situated in the northern side of Broken Hill, a stones throw from Shelly’s corner store or a leisurely stroll downtown. Lola's cottage provides a home away from home; as soon as you enter, you will feel so comfortable.

The sun-drenched easterly aspect of the timber deck makes it a lovely spot for breakfast or a newspaper read. It has a good street presence and a fragrant garden. If you are sharing accommodation for work, the cottage has separate spaces that allow you to spend time alone. The internal areas of the cottage are floorboards and tiles, with the bedrooms carpeted.

The kitchen is very practical, with a gas stove, new appliances, and fresh cutlery and crockery updated at all times. A pod coffee machine is also fitted for the coffee lovers.

Lola's cottage is situation on a main street, and while some trucks pass during the day in a country town, it’s not a bother at all and the nights are tranquil quiet. The cottage is about 1.7km away from centre of town, which will not interfere with your stay and centrally located to all the attractions such as the pool, parks, gyms and restaurants.

A grassed backyard, and an external laundry, and a private entrance with a remote roller door access that is lockable and a covered carport (for a small/ medium car) for one car will complete your stay. There is ample street parking as well right at the front of the property.

Lola's cottage offers extra comfort and technology with WI-FI, TV, as well as evaporated cooling throughout and fans in each bedroom. Gas heating in the main area which heats up the whole place, there are also heaters in the rooms. We can include sleeping blankets on request.

Gum Paddock Country Cottage is situated approximately 9 km from the GPO in the main shopping precinct of Broken Hill and features 1 x Double Bedroom, open Living room with an ornate Fireplace, fully equipped kitchenette and private bathroom.
The Cottage was originally The Silverton Tramway Billiard Hall and has many a story to tell. It was transported to Gum Paddock in 1996 providing a great getaway and is quaintly decorated by a "step back in time" feel but with all the modern conveniences to make your stay relaxing and comfortable.

The Cottage also has a double fold out lounge in the open plan living area so it can accommodate up to 4 people if needed.

Relax in the front cottage garden and enjoy our friendly native Sulphur Crested Cockies who like to visit us regularly or BBQ in your very own private creek.

Take a stroll through the beautiful dry creek bed and down to the Old Railway Bridge, you might be lucky enough to spot some wild Sturt Desert Peas or catch a glimpse of an emu or a kangaroo or two.

Fresh eggs are provided from our free-range chickens. Whilst you're there, your welcome to pick the oranges and lemons. You might even be in time for ripe quandongs.

Our main requirement for our cottages is a quiet location, our properties are chosen on that basis! We could have bought properties on the highway or on busy streets, but we wouldn’t be able to sleep there with all the noise and don’t expect you would either.
We offer 2 bedroom cottages/houses/flats at an affordable price without cutting comfort. If you want affordable comfortable accommodation without all the expensive gimmicks (such as shoe shine kits, data link, food, chocolates, wine at inflated cost etc) then please consider us.

The cottages are spacious and without clutter. The beds are suited to the size of the rooms and have plenty of space around them.
There are no bunks! Our single beds are single beds. So there is no climbing to get in bed. We want you to be able to spread out, be comfortable, and enjoy your stay – not be packed in like sardines. Our decors are easy on the eye, paint schemes are light and clean pastel colours.

The sitting room adjoins the kitchen and is perfect for those times enjoying a great coffee or just snoozing in the morning sun.
The BBQ area has a lovely intimate feeling with an electric BBQ, great for your 1st-morning gourmet breakfast - courtesy of Cummins Cottage. A continental breakfast is provided for the rest of your stay. Then enjoy the day sightseeing the many historical and beautiful landmarks around Broken Hill or browsing through the various quaint shops in town.
The Cottage has 3 queen size bedrooms, all with luxury linen, extra pillows, and cosy blankets. All with touch lamps.
The lounge room consists of 2 and 3-seater lounges with auto recliners at each end. A smart TV is available for use, and you can stream your apps to watch TV, movies, documentaries, etc.
The back deck, is delightful in the afternoons and evenings, overlooking the pool, and allows you to enjoy the ambiance and atmosphere with views of the famous Living Desert.

Enjoy a private master bedroom in our newly renovated and boho decorated 3 bedroom federation style cottage. This home offers a spacious master bedroom with new AC machine and king size bed, the shared bathroom has been updated there is a separate toilet. We provide breakfast supplies and have off street parking available if required. There is fast speed wifi and a fire stick with Netflix, Stan and You tube.

The space
The oversize master bedroom has been recently redecorated and opens onto the combined open plan living and dining areas. The new kitchen is well equipped and updated bathroom and laundry are all shared spaces with the owner.

Guest access
There is street parking in front of the house or we have off road secure parking in the back yard if required… via the lane.

During your stay
I will be mostly around if the guests have any questions or need help with anything during their stay.. when not at part time job

Other things to note
There will be breakfast supplies which include a range of tea, coffee, cereals, toast and crumpets with spreads for you to choose to make your own breakfast.

Our vintage miners cottage is located in the heart of Broken Hill.
Conveniently located in close proximity to the health precinct.
The cottage has two large bedrooms complete with queen beds and the option of a fold out bed for a fifth guest.
It has an open plan living area with a smart TV and NBN Wifi connection.
Nespresso coffee machine and pantry staples are provided for the convenience of our guests.

Other things to note
Fold out bed is available on request for a fifth guest. Fifth guest is $25 per night extra.
Please make sure you request the correct number of guests when booking as the bed will only be brought in for required bookings.
