Escape to the romance of the mountains in one of our 4 secluded luxury cottages. All cottages have a private spa with wonderful views of the Blackall Range. Come and view the morning mist floating up from the valley or watch the sun sinking over the horizon and a night sky blazing with stars. Room rate includes full Breakfast provisions which you can cook in the comfort of your cottage. The hamper consists of bacon, eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, cereal, fresh seasonal fruit, yoghurt, milk, juice and fresh bread from the Maleny Bakery.

We love all animals but have made the cottage available to guests with DOGS ONLY. Sorry, no cats for the reasons stipulated below.
$55 pet fee applicable for first two nights and $5 per night thereafter which can be paid through the Resolution Centre.

Unknown to them, a friend had a guest stay with a cat. The cat used furniture as a scratching post, made pulls in rugs and blankets with its claws. To make it worse, she was allergic to cats, as are many people.

WHEN STAYING WITH YOUR DOG:
Please bring your your dog's bed and food bowl with you and don't let it on the bed and furniture in the cottage.

Some guests roll up the rugs, especially with long-haired dogs. We really appreciate it if you choose to do this.

Please also pick up your dog's poop from the garden and dispose of it in an appropriate place.

GARDEN:
Although we are keen gardeners you might not think it at the moment!! We are still trying to "tame" the garden without spoiling the "wildness."

We are currently working on a "quirky" area with unusual items and plants, which will hopefully bring a smile to your face while sitting looking out from the covered verandah.
DOG OWNERS:
We have made our cottage dog friendly as we are animal lovers and know it is difficult to find places to stay with your dog.
We do ask however that you bring your dog's bed with you and don't let it on the bed and furniture in the cottage. Please also pick up and your dog's poop from the garden and dispose of it.
Only one dog is allowed to stay without prior notice. A surcharge of $55 per trip is payable at time of reservation and $5 per night after two nights payable through the Resolution Centre.
Please abide by the above rules so as not to spoil it for others who wish their dogs to stay with them.

The Maleny hinterland was once covered in thick timber forests but when the timber was felled by the 1920s, Maleny became famous for its dairy and cattle production. In more recent years we have attracted many interesting artists and musicians as well as several excellent wedding venues and health retreats. On Sunday there is a great market for collectibles, fruit and vegetables at the Maleny RSL with other markets within an easy drive at Witta, Yandina and Eumundi.

Some great local foods to sample are Maleny milk from Guernesey cows, cheese from the Maleny cheese factory, delicious gelato, sorbet, coffee beans and ground coffee from the Maleny Food Company as well as wagyu beef and wild fowl from the Maleny Butchery. Top your gastronomic tour off with a visit to the Brouhaha Brewery for some excellent beers. All of these products consistently win awards for quality.

We are also just a short drive to popular attractions such as Gardner’s Falls, Maleny Wines, Maleny Cheese Factory, Maleny Dairies, Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve and Maleny Botanic Gardens.
Within five minutes there are a wide range of restaurants, coffee shops, art and antique shops. The Maleny area is home to numerous National Parks offering a huge choice of walking trails. There is also a stunning 18-hole golf course in Maleny for golfing enthusiasts. The famous Australia Zoo and the amazing Glasshouse Mountains are also less than a twenty minute drive away. For those who wish to travel further afield, we are only 30 minutes from the Sunshine Coast beaches, a similar distance to the world famous markets at Eumundi and Noosa is less than one hour away.

**Firewood can be supplied at cost price from our local IGA if ordered at least 2 days prior to check-in. Otherwise, firewood can be purchased during your stay from IGA Maleny. Firewood is approx. $20 per bag + $18 for a bag of kindling which should last approx. 2 nights**

The space
The beauty of this cottage and its setting will become apparent as soon as you look around to find a perfect spot to relax and read a book. The comfy lounge, window seat, outdoor seagrass couches or soft beds are just some of your options. Or lie back on the sun-lounges on your own front lawn, or wander over to the gazebo with views of Witta and the valley.

Choose from a large range of fiction and non-fiction books, board games, chess, badmington, bocce or art therapy colouring in books if you're in need of an activity. Or play the piano...it's yours to use. Alternatively, watch Netflix or livestream tv, choose one of literally hundreds of DVDs , or simply listen to the birds.

If work gets in the way, or you simply need a space to do some, there is a desk tucked away in the second bedroom. With our NBN wifi, Zoom meetings will be no problem at all.

The kitchen features a toaster, kettle, Nespresso machine, stove and oven and full sized fridge/freezer. The basics are all provided, including tea, coffee pods, sugar, olive oil, vinegar, spices, salt and pepper.

In wintertime, warm yourselves up and enjoy the comforting ambience of our new Lopi gas fireplace. Alternatively, sit around our firepit at the rear of the cottage and enjoy the uninterrupted view of stars. In summer, let the cool Hinterland breeze refresh you, or turn on our beautiful new timber fans.

WARNING: Our beautiful cottage is located in the country. Therefore, you may see and hear many different forms of wildlife during the day and night. Examples include; possums, wallabies, bandicoots, tawny frogmouths and black cockatoos just to name a few.

We welcome you to use the lawn in front of the cottage, as well as the gazebo. Please do not walk down the steps towards the dam, as this is our personal and private garden - attached to our own residence.

There is a laundry available for your use, and this contains a washing machine, heat-pump dryer, cleaning products, washing/drying line and iron/ironingboard. All of these items may be accessed at any time.

Other things to note
There are lovely breezes to take advantage of, so we recommend opening doors and windows during the day. Please close these in the early evening as we do not have flyscreens as we want to take advantage of unobstructed views. Our fans and air-conditioning are an excellent alternative to increase airflow and comfort during the night.

P E T S:

We love all animals and have tried to make the garden around our beautiful cottage a haven for the native wildlife and now enjoy a visit from a family of wallabies on most days, as well as many birds.

We have now made the cottage available to guests with DOGS under 10Kg ONLY. Sorry, no larger dogs or cats for the reasons stipulated below.

A $65 pet fee is applicable (maximum of 2 dogs each under 10kg).
