THE LOCATION IS SUNNY AND BRIGHT on the southwest side of San Juan with distant views of the mountains and the sea. The cottage is in a quiet setting on a 6 &2/3 acre horse "ranch. This is a rural residential area. There are neighboring houses so you might expect to hear occasional landscaping maintenance.. The parcels in this area are from 5 to 10 acres. This property is NOT waterfront but water views. There is no immediate water access from this property, however, there is a lovely county beach within 20 minutes walking distance. The main house, where we live, is about 15 feet corner to corner from the cottage, however, there is privacy between with dense gardens and a decorative gate.. The guest cottage was here when we bought the property. We rarely use the cottage so we thought we would share it with others. Your privacy inside and near the cottage is assured; we will never intrude in your space, however, if you are seeking completed seclusion with absolutely no one nearby then this is NOT the place for you.
There are two outdoor patios. The one on the water side has a table & 2 chairs & a propane BBQ. The other smaller stone patio is on the opposite side in the garden with two chairs as well. The hot tub is in the garden between the main house and the cottage which is landscaped with dense foliage and fencing.

We are walking distance to secluded Eagle Cove with a sandy beach, great for relaxing & wading. Walk or drive the short distance to nearby American Camp National Park for hiking opportunities, more beaches and island history information at the ranger station. American Camp is about 2,000 acres of prairie, woods and miles of beaches.
You can expect to see us around the property tending to the garden and the horses.

The cottage is located on the "sunny" southwest side with views of the sea and the mountains. The cottage is situated on a 6 & 1/2 acre "horse ranch" in a quiet rural residential area with parcels ranging from 3 & 1/2 acres to 10 acres. The nearest neighbor is 250 ft. from the cottage and the next closest is about 350 ft. away. Though the main house is about 20 ft. from the guest cottage, it is private. There is no immediate access to the water, however, a 15 minute walk will take you to nearby Eagle Cove Beach and also to the entrance of American Camp National Park with more beaches & trails. Visitors can have beach fires at South Beach which is within the park boundary.
There are two patios adjacent to the cottage; one has a table & chairs and BBQ, The other patio on the opposite side is situated in a large perennial flower garden with chairs provided as well; a pleasant and shady spot to enjoy the hummingbirds and flowers. The hot tub is also in the garden.

The interior design is a mix of world motifs acquired during our travels featuring oriental rugs, and European accessories and has a French Provence influence. There is also a lovely gas fireplace for romantic evenings.

Wake up to a view of a nature garden from your bedroom with a comfortable queen size bed. The elegant deluxe bathroom has a claw foot tub and toilet and vanity, Italian tiles and marble, heated floors and heated towel rack. The second bathroom has a lovely tiled shower with heated floors. Foxglove cottage is a charming cottage surrounded by a lovely garden situated on 20 acres of majestic fir and cedar forest.There is a small swimming pond with a dock and my artists studio ..The house is completely remodeled and almost brand new. There are slate floors in the kitchen, dining room and entry way and bamboo floors thru out the rest of the house. The original structure was built with beach logs and field stones and lots of creativity . This is truly a craftsman's creation.
The master bedroom is large and spacious . The guest bedroom feels like a tree house. The upstairs bathroom has slate floors, a stone sink , tile shower and small Jacuzzi tub. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and flat screen HDTV. The guest bedroom also has a queen size bed. Both bedrooms have lots of windows viewing the surrounding garden.
The living room has a double door onto a small patio overlooking the pond. There is a large flat screen T.V. and DVD player. The house has access to Dish television.
The kitchen is completely equipped for you to do your own meals . There is a large window seat for lounging . Right outside the kitchen is a patio with table and chairs for outside dining.
The owners live on the property and will be available for any questions you may have. Interaction can be as much or as little as you like. Fresh fruit and veggies will often be available from the garden. Just ask me what might be ripe for the picking. The property is deer fenced so we ask our guests to please remember to close the gates. It is truly amazing how much one deer can eat in an evening stroll thru the garden.
We have a young cream retriever who may wander down for a visit. We try to keep her away from the guests but she is very friendly and loves people above all things. She tends to bark a bit on your arrival which is a greeting of hooray finally someone has come to see me. We are working on this. If you have an issue with dogs please let me know.
There are many wonderful and exciting places to visit on San Juan Island. There are numerous beaches and parks close by. You can hike , bike, swim, whale watch, kayak, or just relax. It is truly a vacationers paradise.

You’ll pass through spectacular Moran State Park on the way, where you will likely want to return for hiking and swimming. Buck Bay Shellfish farm is a family run business that is within walking distance of the home where they have a wonderful array of seafood to purchase, as well as a Bistro cafe. Nearby is Catkins Cafe for breakfast or lunch to enjoy a meal or two.

The Captain's Cottage is in a truly wonderful location down a private road to Davison Head. It overlooks the beach at the Isthmus which is a popular spot to sit and enjoy some of the most spectacular sunsets you’ll ever see! The Cottage is situated on its own half acre lot with several old growth cedar trees and abundant wildlife. The privacy you will find here may be just what you’re looking for.

Built originally as a fishing shack, it has been totally remodeled into a cozy seaside cottage for two. The kitchen is well equipped including full sized stainless steel appliances and a gourmet range. The living room has large picture windows to bring in the light and view regardless of the season. Of any rental I've ever stayed in, I greatly appreciated all of the additional amenities, kitchen items, toiletries, etc. that the host included. The only few things I would recommend adding are a full length mirror and a pair of scissors, but that's being really picky :) Otherwise, the space for 2 people was perfect, bed was comfortable, and the view/scenery was just lovely, and it's a great location in town."

The Cottage on Cedar Street is a cozy wood-sided house in a beach town (near the beach!). A small home loaded with coastal charm. A dwelling meant exclusively for guests (that's you!). Cozy comfort is an essential feature. Open floor plan, functions very efficiently; tis bright, cozy and welcoming! Every detail has been meticulously planned with you, our guest, in mind. If you are sensitive to traffic it was a little noisy when sitting outside but we didn’t notice it at all in side. Not a problem! We were four adults and found the set up (two bedrooms downstairs, shared large bathroom downstairs and powder room upstairs) to be spacious and comfortable. - "Home and property was well maintained. Owners were quick to respond and very helpful with any questions we had before and during our stay. The home and location was very quiet which we appreciated having two little children. Our one year old managed to find a dog toy and some dog food and loved playing in the cupboards. The house does over some basic kitchen utensils (silverware, plates, bowls, pots, and pans (could use some measuring cups)) as well as some dry pantry items (spices, oil, coffee (whole bean and ground (nice touch!))) Fun amenities like the hot tube and fire pit were nice to have especially after the kids went down. Lack of signage made getting to the public beach access a little intimidating (felt like we were walking on someone’s driveway to get there)"

San Juan Island located in the Pacific Northwest is one of five islands served by Washington State Ferries. The New York Times recently listed the San Juan Islands at #3 as one of the best islands to visit in North America. The island is blessed with two National Historical Parks for visitors to see, historical as they date back to a Pig War skirmish that ensued between the British and the Americans in the 1800’s. Roche Harbor Resort, a highly popular tourist destination as the hotel dates back to the time of the Roosevelts, attracts mega yachts, fishermen, sailors, and tourists that can browse the well-tended flower gardens or enjoy a four-star dinner at the MacMillan Restaurant. The Pelindaba Lavender farm, is within walking distance of the cottage only a half mile down the road. We are situated across from Alchemy Art Center for those of you interested in pottery, photography and printing classes which are offered throughout the year. If you are lucky enough to be staying here in late July and early August, Island Island Stage Left performs professional Shakespearian plays several evenings per week.
The home itself is an exercise in eclectic design and function. The stained-glass windows, tiffany style lamps, original paintings, beamed woodwork, cobblestone fireplace, and tiled counters lend themselves to a cozy, laidback retreat. The cottage is fully furnished home with stocked kitchen equipment, master bedroom with king bed, loft with queen bed and day bed with linens supplied, and an upstairs sitting area and desk. - "We can't say enough nice things about this place and our hosts Marcy and Ralph. The guest house itself was clean, spacious, and luxurious. We felt at home from the moment we stepped in the door. The property is in the middle of the woods, so it was wonderfully quiet. I enjoyed cooking in the well-equipped kitchen, and my husband and I enjoyed eating outside on the deck overlooking the woods and peek-a-boo views of the ocean. The guest house is only a couple of miles from Friday Harbor, so it was easy to drive into town and dine at a restaurant or get on a whale watching tour. The island is small enough that we could drive anywhere in less than half an hour. Our hosts Marcy and Ralph were respectful of our privacy, but, by the time we left, we felt like they had become wonderful friends. We found out that the guest house was decorated with furniture and furnishings from Marcy's mother, which gave the home an especially warm, personal feel. My husband and I did not want to leave when the week was over, and we are already dreaming of taking another vacation here!"

Welcome to Cottage on Bison Pond located 3 1/2 miles from the picturesque town of Friday Harbor on San Juan Island. The cottage, set amongst beautiful confers and deciduous trees & overlooking Bison Pond, a natural habitat for birds, herons, deer (even foxes, raccoons & eagles have been sited occasionally), has been completely remodeled and accessorized with every amenity we could think of, described below & in our amenity list, to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The location of our cottage is perfect for getting to and from town as well as driving to some of the most gorgeous destinations on the south side of the island. We are located only approximately 8 minutes to and from the heart of Friday Harbor. so really close to get to shopping and restaurants, and only 3 miles south to gorgeous walking beaches and trails along "South Beach" , "American Camp" and Mt. Finlaysen, some of the most explored destinations on the island. There is also a very scenic walking trail leading to "American Camp" directly from our property for those of you who love to commune with nature by foot. And for you golf addicts, the deck on the cottage looks directly onto San Juan Valley Golf Course which may cause you to be lured to play a round of golf during your vacation or at least want to take a leisurely walk around the links which many of our residents routinely do. And alternatively, for those who want to just hunker down and relax, you can simply nestle into our cottage deck or on the garden furniture facing our Pond and do absolutely nothing while experiencing the quiet and tranquility of our property.
The cottage downstairs bedroom has a queen bed, clothes closet, storage space for luggage and good reading lamps on each side of the bed. It has an attached bathroom with luxurious absorbent towels and complimentary soaps and shampoos. The upstairs living room and utility kitchen has wonderful natural light coming through lots of windows and French doors leading on to two separate decks, both of which have patio furniture upon which to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or evening glass of wine, while gazing on the rising sun or setting sunsets. The kitchen is equipped with a convection oven, microwave and toaster oven , countertop skillet for making pancakes, (however no stove) and plenty of dishes, silverware, serving utensils, a French press coffee maker, electric water heater and blender as well as glassware, napkins, salt, pepper, sugar, tea, coffee and bottled waters. Propane BBQ is ready for you use. The living room also has really comfy sofa and chair, reading lights and a Wall TV with cable channels. We think we've thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and we do hope we will meet all of your expectations.
We do have a parking area for your vehicle and an area right outside the cottage to store your bicycles if you are biking on our island. We also have an enclosed shop which is insulated and has electricity, located adjacent to the parking area. You are welcome to store the bikes there as well. The door is unlocked but our property is so private and secure, that no worries about the security of your bikes overnight.

- "We loved staying here because it is adjacent to coffee shops, restaurants, shopping and grocery store. It is located at the north end of Eastsound in a group of identical cottages. Very quiet and relaxing. Only 10 minute drive to Moran State Park. Easy access to Eastsound water front and Crescent Beach and there is also a 1 mile walking path to North Beach. The cottage was perfect for a family of 3 to 4. Very clean and charming! Second bedroom has two beds in an upstairs loft. Kitchen has all amenities and there is also a washer and dryer for clothes. The only bathroom is accessed through the master bedroom. Overall, it worked great for us as we spent the days exploring the island and came back late afternoon to relax and walk around town. Would definitely stay here again."

Our cottage kitchen is the shining example of how to blend efficiency and functionality. Featuring a full-sized electric Avanti stovetop and oven with a microwave mounted above, and a large stainless steel, modern sink, you can effortlessly make any meal. We've hosted guests for Thanksgiving that boasted how they did a full course meal with ease!
You’ll find plenty of kitchen gadgets, including a blender, hand mixer, cookware, and bakeware to create your favorite meals. Enjoy our coffee bar stocked with Pete's coffee, teas, stevia, sugar, and creamer, along with both a drip coffeemaker and French press, and a coffee grinder. We even have spices and oil in the cabinets! Plus, there’s a full-sized refrigerator with a freezer, and a stackable Blomberg washer and dryer—just note that there’s no dishwasher, so hand washing is required.

In the living room, relax on the comfy loveseat or swivel chair while enjoying views through the French doors to the deck and water beyond. Curl up with a throw blanket to stream your favorite movies on the Smart TV or play some board games. The sofa also has a pull-out twin bed with linens for an extra guest.

The queen bed is tucked into its own private nook, featuring a sturdy Captain's bed frame for extra storage and a small closet for hanging clothes. We even provide a small iron and board!

This well-built bungalow-style cottage overlooks Cascade Bay, offer a light, bright retreat from which to view the marina and gaze down the sound. The living quarters are on the upper level, featuring high-end wood floors throughout, a well-stocked full kitchen, spacious living area, and master bedroom with king-size bed. Your hosts have attempted to stock the kitchen with whatever you need to eat-in if desired, and take advantage of the incredible covered deck overlooking the bay. Or take advantage of the plumbed-in Weber grill on the deck.

Underneath the deck, also looking over the bay is a small Hotspring Spa that is available to guests.

The home is outfitted with high speed internet, Smart Roku TVs (just plug in the streaming service of your choice), including a 55" high definition TV upstairs and a 65" big screen TV downstairs.

The lower level of the home is a finished/converted garage. It is carpeted, offers a queen-sized bed, couch and big screen 65" TV. There is also another 4-person dining table, full bathroom with shower, and a full-sized refrigerator for extra food/beverage storage. Please note: The downstairs is NOT heated. In the summer, this is rarely an issue, and it could theoretically be used in the winter as well, since it is always warmer than outside, but if you are renting in a cooler season, or have any questions about using the downstairs area, please contact us! It's a bit of a walk down to the beach but well worth the visit as there is an unobstructed view of Mt Baker and a gorgeous little cove. Orcas is a gem and has so much to offer: Mt Constitution views (best in the Northwest) and Moran State park, the Artist's Cooperative Gallery, Kayaking, great food and a winery. Stay at a real log cabin on Tigercello Farm. We are located on 12 beautiful acres with a 2 acre pond just 1.5 miles from Friday Harbor and the ferry dock. The log cabin has a cozy open layout with a lofted ceiling and curtains for some privacy for the main bedroom and bathroom. 2 queen beds (1 in bedroom, one in living area), queen sleeper sofa and 2 sleeping bags on mats in the loft. A fully stocked kitchen with gas range, large refridgerator, microwave allow you to create your culinary creations. Buckhorn Farm Bungalow is located on ten-acres near the north shore of Orcas Island. This family vacation cottage enjoys a wonderful country-farm atmosphere but is only a 5 minute drive from the village of Eastsound, our island's version of “downtown.”

Guests can easily walk or ride bicycles along level roads to restaurants, shops or to the nearby semi-private beach to enjoy beach strolls, tide-pooling and spectacular views from Mt. Baker to Vancouver Island.

Perfect for a solo getaway, or a romantic retreat. Sleeps up to 3 people. This unit is located a stone's throw from the water, and features a small kitchen, bathroom with a shower, a queen and twin bed, and a fireplace. Well-behaved pets (two maximum) are welcome for an additional fee.

The cottage is simply but comfortably furnished. (Note: furnishings may not be exactly as pictured, as we sometimes replace or update items for improved guest comfort!)

From the cottage, you can look out over the beach and enjoy sweeping ocean views to the north. The fireplace gives a cozy ambience on a chilly day, although electric wall heaters are the primary heat source. We are intentional about not having wifi and TV and hope their absence will foster a peaceful and relaxing "unplugged" getaway. Cell coverage is usually adequate in the cabin but may be spotty.

The kitchen has a compact stove, fridge, microwave, coffee maker (with reusable filter) and electric kettle. It is stocked with basic cookware and dishes but has no food nor condiments. A well supplied grocery store is only 2 miles away.

There is one full bathroom with a shower. We provide liquid castile soap for body and hair, tissues and toilet paper. Please bring your own toiletries, hair dryer, etc.

All linens needed for your stay are provided. Extra towels, etc. are available on request at the office. Thank you for not using your house towels on the beach; please bring your own beach towels.

A Weber charcoal BBQ is provided; you'll need to bring lighter fluid and briquettes. Free firewood is available on a "help yourself" basis from the woodshed. Please enjoy beach fires; just make sure you build them on the beach gravel, below the high tide mark, and never burn driftwood. There are beach chairs and a picnic table in front of your cottage designated for your use.

This old beach cottage has had a lot of improvements, but has plenty of funk left.

You drive around the island seventeen beautiful miles to get here and find a fully equipped kitchen and dining room (no dishwasher), two beds (one queen in the common room for the view and one in a small bedroom. You'll have a wood stove with a glass door (as well as electric heat) for winter coziness. There is a (shower only) bath that you can enter from the bedroom or the front hall. Big, beautiful decks for eating or just hanging out, low bank beach just steps away where you can launch your kayak or canoe. Quiet neighborhood and all that Orcas Island has to offer: parks, restaurants, cultural events, sailing, hiking, bicycling, swimming, fishing, whale watching.

Two night minimum in winter, three night minimum in summer. We have a three night minimum for summer months and for holidays and three day week ends. In 2019, we will have a four night minimum for a booking that includes July 4 week. Returnees get a discounted rate.

The cottage:
The cottage features partial ocean views in it’s fully fenced front yard. The large picnic table is great for family dinners al fresco or lunches in the shade of the umbrella.

The floor plan is particularly wonderful for multiple couples or two small families. Both floors provide the privacy of separate spaces while also seamlessly flowing together, each featuring comfortable living areas (with smart TVs), kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. Air conditioning and high speed internet make the cottage a great space to escape the heat of the summer or the doldrums of work-from-home life.

Inside, the kitchen is fully equipped for preparing meals. Want to move dinner plans outdoors? BBQ on the deck with s’mores around the propane fire pit for dessert. Other outdoor amenities include hot tub, kayaks, badminton and an oversized hammock.

We provide a pack-n-play, twin hide-a-bed, high chair and baby gate for young families, along with an extra large dog crate for the fur babies.

Rental Agreement
This Short Term Rental Agreement (the “Agreement”) is made by and between Alexa and Charles Meissner (“Homeowner”) and ________________________________ (“Guest”) as of the date last set forth on the signature page of this Agreement. For good and valuable consideration, the sufficiency of which is acknowledged, the parties hereby agree as follows:
1. Property: This property is located at: 661 Buckhorn Rd., Eastsound, Wa. 98245.
The property is furnished and includes: kitchen pantry items, kettle, microwave/convection oven, toaster, cook- and bakeware, blender, iron, dishes, glassware, flatware, hammock, bath towels, spa towels, bed linens, hair dryer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, BBQ, indoor propane stove, kayaks, smart tv, Wi-Fi, hot tub.
The property has central heat throughout the home.
2. Rental Party: The rental party shall consist of Guest and the following persons, (We require at least 2 cell phone numbers of guests in case of emergency. If fewer than 7 guests, type “N/A” into the additional fields):

3. Maximum Occupancy: The maximum number of guests is limited to 7 persons (excluding children under 3 years old) and is strictly enforced. If a violation of this rule occurs, an additional charge of $500 per extra person per night will be assessed and all guests will be asked to vacate premises and will forfeit any rental fees and deposits.
4. Terms of the Lease: The lease begins at 4pm on _______________________ (the “Check-in date”) and ends at 11am_____________ _____ (the “Check-out date”).
a. The house is located in a rural area. In such a setting, one may find local wildlife. Please keep doors (screen, wood, or glass) closed when you are not in the house to keep wildlife outside.
b. Guest acknowledges and understands that the property also has neighbors. Guest agrees not to disturb the peace and enjoyment of neighbors and their guests. Quiet hours should be observed between 10pm and 8:00 am. This includes but is not limited to excessive noise and/or music, as well as offensive language and/or behavior.
c. Driveway speed limit is 5 mph.
d. Outdoor Amplified sound is prohibited at all times.
e. Smoking of any kind is NOT allowed in the house or on the property.
f. There is a propane BBQ and firepit that may be used. There are no campfires allowed on the property due to the high fire danger.

g. People other than those in the Guest party set forth above may not stay overnight on the property. Any other person on the property is the sole responsibility of the Guest. If additional people visit during day and evening hours, there must not be more than 7 people.


h. The Homeowners and Property Manager are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illnesses that occur while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners and Property Managers are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises and equipment or others whom they invite to use the premises.
a. Keep the property and all furnishings in good order.
b. A maximum of 3 vehicles are permitted at the property.


m. Drinking Water: the water inside is monitored and tested by Washington Water Service Company and meets requirements set by Washington State.
m. Events/Parties: Property use is not permitted for special events. This includes but is not limited to special events, outdoor events, lawn parties, weddings or similar activities. Furthermore, it is strictly prohibited to host any type of event or party of any size at the property. If a violation of this rule occurs, an additional charge of $1,000 will be assessed and all guests will be asked to vacate premises and will forfeit any rental fees or deposits.
n. Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We do not permit any bath towels or linens to be taken from the premises.
6. Access: Guest shall allow Homeowner or owners’ agents or employees property access for yard and orchard maintenance. Workers may enter the property between 9am and 5pm daily for yard work or hot tub maintenance (Workers will not enter the dwelling unit.
7. Trash collection: Collected by San Juan Sanitation. Please place all trash in receptables by the car port.
8. Rental Rate and Fees
All rental fees including tax, cleaning fee, insurance fee and/or security deposit, pet fee, and nightly rental fee are due prior to check-in according to the payment requirements of the rental platform on which the reservation was made.
9. Pets. Pets are allowed with prior notice. If guests bring a pet without permission, a fee of $500.00 will be billed to the guest. A non-refundable pet fee of $100 is charged for a single pet, $50 for a second pet. 2 pets maximum.
10. Damage Deposit: If a damage deposit is made, it will be refunded in accordance with the service through which the reservation was made, provided no deductions are made due to:
i. Damage to the property or furnishings
ii. Dirt or other mess than requires excessive cleaning
iii. Any other cost incurred by the Homeowners due to the Guest’s stay beyond normal wear and tear.
If the premises appear dirty or damaged upon check-in, Guest shall inform the Property Manager immediately. If Guest fails to inform the Property Manager within 24 hours or check-in, Guest will be responsible for any damages and excessive cleaning charges left from prior to their stay.
11.Hot Tub Rules: Hot tub hours are from 8am – 10pm. No glass in or around the hot tub. Plastic cups are provided. The hot tub is cleaned and chemicals adjusted after each guest departs.
12 Cancellation Policy: If Guest wishes to cancel his/her reservation, all fees collected will be refunded as follows:
a) The host, Airbnb, and VRBO modify their cancellation policies from time to time. The policy in force at the time of the reservation will be the policy that will be honored if a guest should choose to cancel. If a guest has purchased trip insurance and can show proof of such purchase, and if the policy does NOT cover the entire cost of the reservation, then the host agrees to cover up to 100% of the uncovered portion of the nightly rate, but no more than 25% of the total nightly rate. If no trip insurance was purchased, no additional refund from the host will be paid.
b) If Airbnb applies its “Extenuating Circumstances” policy to the reservation, then neither a) nor b) will apply as the “Extenuating Circumstances” policy overrides all other cancellation policies.
c) We encourage all guests to purchase CFAR (cancel for any reason) trip insurance to protect the cost of their trip should they have to cancel. Generally, the most CFAR coverage available to purchase is 75% of the trip cost. The offer of a 25% refund of the nightly fee under the conditions specified above, gives the guest 100% coverage of the nightly fees for their reservation.
The parties agree to the terms of this Short Term Rental Agreement as evidenced by acknowledgement on the VRBO website or the Airbnb website and the signatures set forth below. All of the foregoing representations and agreements are made by Guest on behalf of himself or herself, and his or her party, and guests.

Tenant assumes, and releases Alexa and Charles Meissner, (Homeowner) and Kristin Nimmo, Lawrence Bearg, Orcas 24-7, and the Lawrence P. Bearg Revocable Trust dated October 20, 2015, and any amendments thereto, Property Manager, from, all liability and responsibility of every kind, nature and description resulting from the use or misuse of the premises and any associated equipment, including the hot tub, or the rural area surrounding the premises.

Tenant holds Homeowners and Property Manager(s) harmless and releases Homeowners and Property Manager(s) from all liability in the event of any injury or death to any person arising from the Tenant’s use of the premises, the property, the dwelling, outdoor structures, its recreational equipment, (including outdoor recreational equipment such as the Kayaks, BBQ grill, hot tub, etc.).

Tenant agrees to the foregoing and acknowledges receipt of a copy of this addendum.

Westcott Woods is heated primarily by two wood stoves. This comfortable rustic 2-bedroom plus loft cabin is part of a quiet, historic, family-owned beach resort. The 100-acre property encompasses woods, pasture & private beach. Perfect for a family holiday, friends' getaway, or romantic retreat. Sleeps up to 7 people. Located on the water & features a full-sized kitchen, woodstove, bathroom with a tub/shower. Cabin has two bedrooms & a sleeping loft. Well-behaved pets (two max) are welcome for an additional fee.

The space
The cottage is simply but comfortably furnished. (Note: furnishings may not be exactly as pictured, as we sometimes replace or update items for improved guest comfort!). The front bedroom and back bedroom both have queen beds. The loft, accessible by stairs, has three twin beds; great fun for children, but may be difficult for adults to stand upright! A large uncovered deck faces the ocean.

From the cottage, you can look out over the beach and enjoy sweeping ocean views to the north. The woodstove gives a cozy ambience on a chilly day, although electric baseboard heat is the primary heat source. We are intentional about not having wifi and TV and hope their absence will foster a peaceful and relaxing "unplugged" getaway. Cell coverage is usually adequate in the cabin but may be spotty.

The kitchen has a stove, fridge, microwave, coffee maker (with reusable filter) and electric kettle. It is stocked with basic cookware and dishes but has no food nor condiments. A well supplied grocery store is only 2 miles away.

There is one full bathroom with a shower. We provide liquid castile soap for body and hair, tissues and toilet paper. Please bring your own toiletries, hair dryer, etc.

All linens needed for your stay are provided. Extra towels, etc. are available on request at the office. Thank you for not using your house towels on the beach; please bring your own beach towels.

A Weber charcoal BBQ is provided; you'll need to bring or buy lighter fluid and briquettes. Free firewood is available on a "help yourself" basis from the woodshed. Please enjoy beach fires; just make sure you build them on the beach gravel, below the high tide mark, and never burn driftwood. There are beach chairs and a picnic table in front of your cottage designated for your use.

The kitchen has all the necessary cooking utensils, dishes, a microwave oven, electric stove, coffee maker and refrigerator. There is a wood stove (as well as electric heat) in the living area as well as a TV, DVD player, and a radio with iPod port. It is perfect for a couple on a romantic getaway or a small family. Maximum occupancy is three people if the 3rd person is a small child or a guest who can sleep on a single day bed.

The Cottage looks across Driftwood Ranch, Mt Constitution, Mt Woolard, Sunset Mountain. Spend a lazy morning watching the sun peek over Constitution. Listen for song birds, Canadian geese, wild ducks, eagles and sounds of grazing cattle. The valley is home for a Leucistic Red Tailed Hawk seen perched in tree line of field. If you're lucky to visit during calving, you will welcome a new calf to the valley. A collection of eclectic finds, cozy furniture create space to forget the mainland pace.

The space
The kitchen is located in the original log cabin. It’s vibe created with the care and artistry of a few local craftsman and Teri’s love of cooking and entertaining. The patina of local Island Douglas Fir shows up in the flooring, cabinetry and trim finishes showcasing this local renewable resource.

Both bathrooms have been finished with detail in mind. Heated floors, organic bath towels, stacked washer/dryer, hand and bath soaps from local artisans. Here you will also see a new life for up-cycled rebar, dresser, mirror frame, Doug fir trim and the love from the local tile setter, whose skill can be seen in the entryway as well.

Private Deck and Fire Pit- Enjoy your morning watching the sunrise over Mount Constitution light up the valley. The birds will welcome the day and the cows will begin to munch away the dew on the field. If you are lucky to have a visit during calving time, you will witness one of mother nature’s farm experiences and welcome a new calf to the valley. A place for dining on the deck, or rocking away the hours with a good book or a pair of binoculars. The valley has been the home for a Leucistic Red Tailed Hawk, who may do a fly-by or can be seen perched along the tree line on the east side of the field. The fire pit was constructed with recycled materials and sits at the fields edge. Many a story have been shared around this circle.

We offer two separate cottages, 60 feet apart, both with decks overlooking the bay, both sleeping up to 4 guests comfortably and 5 cozily (we will consider 6 for families with children on a case-by-case basis).
Cottage #1 has 700 sq. ft. of light-filled living space. The primary bedroom offers a queen bed, work nook, and views of Massacre Bay, and there is a semi-private loft with two twin beds. In the high-ceilinged, open layout living area there is a futon couch and ample additional seating to kick back and watch a 42", Roku-equipped TV after a satisfying day of water play and hiking.
Both of our cottages include powerful WIFI, electric heat, a fully-stocked woodstove, and a private full bath with shower.
COMING IN SPRING OF 2024 - FULL, COVERED, OUTDOOR KITCHENS! There is also a fully-stocked indoor dining area and kitchenette in both cottages, that includes dishware, utensils, cookware, etc - everything you'll need to whip up your own meals (see amenities). You'll have a full fridge with top freezer. The renovated outdoor sitting area features a view of the bay with a gas BBQ and side-burner, a picnic table, and plenty of comfy seating, just right for kicking back with morning coffee or evening wine, and looking up from a good book or meal to watch killer sunsets as boats pass by and seals play in the bay, and herons and kingfishers hunt off the dock. Twin Coves offers serene seclusion with 400 feet of private shell beaches on West Sound. Two seaside firepits. Free use for registered guests: five kayaks seating six + toddler, two stand up paddleboards, and life vests in every size.

The space
Serene, spectacular waterfront property with 5+ acres of grass and woods with towering evergreens, Garry Oaks, and Madronas to enjoy. We offer two separate cottages, 60 feet apart, both with decks overlooking the bay, both sleeping up to 4 guests comfortably and 5 cozily (we will consider 6 for families with children on a case-by-case basis).
Cottage #2 has 840 sq. ft. of living space offering one private bedroom with bunkbeds – a twin over a full bed - plus a trundle bed, and a work nook. There is a king bed to the side of the main room (with privacy wraparound curtains).
In the high-ceilinged, open layout living area there is a leather couch and ample additional seating to kick back and watch a 42", Roku-equipped TV after a satisfying day of water play and hiking.
Both of our cottages include powerful WIFI, electric heat, a fully-stocked woodstove, and a private full bath with shower.
COMING IN SPRING OF 2024 - FULL, COVERED, OUTDOOR KITCHENS! There is also a fully-stocked indoor dining area and kitchenette in both cottages, that includes dishware, utensils, cookware, etc - everything you'll need to whip up your own meals (see amenities). You'll have a full fridge with top freezer. The renovated outdoor sitting area features a view of the bay with a gas BBQ and side-burner, a picnic table, and plenty of comfy seating, just right for kicking back with morning coffee or evening wine, and looking up from a good book or meal to watch killer sunsets as boats pass by and seals play in the bay, and herons and kingfishers hunt off the dock. Perfect for making lifelong memories with family and friends.
Cottage #2 is pet-friendly so those with one well-behaved dog may make arrangements with hosts on a case by case basis to register it prior to booking. Contingent upon approval and agreement to follow pet rules.
There is a clean laundromat in Eastsound, a 15 minute drive from your cottage.

"Hillcrest" is a charming and very private light filled cottage ideally located on a hill above the Orcas Ferry Landing.The grounds include a large organic garden and orchard and plenty of grassy strolling areas and woods of fir and madrone to enjoy .After a fun day exploring, watch sunsets on the southwest facing deck that feels like you are up in the treetops or relax inside with a good book or your favorite Netflix program. There are also books, games, puzzles ,DVD's and CD's provided.

The space
Our cottage sets the scene for a very private and peaceful island experience in a natural setting. It is very well suited for couples or a small family. The parking area and guest studio are at ground level and the main living space is on the second floor up two short flights of stairs. There you will find a master bedroom with a queen size bed and ensuite bathroom with shower. A door opens from the master bedroom directly onto the expansive southwest facing deck. There is also a full kitchen, living room and dining area with an open floor plan and plenty of comfy places to sit. There is a wood stove (wood provided) and a door that opens onto the deck from the living room as well as a second 3/4 bathroom with shower off the main hallway.
The ground floor has a guest studio with a separate entrance and boasts a full bathroom with tub/shower combo as well as a queen sized bed, kitchenette, comfy chair, wood stove and a small dining area.
Our cottage is a San Juan County permitted vacation rental.
If you plan on visiting Orcas in a vehicle on the Washington State Ferries we strongly recommend making reservations for arriving and returning as soon as you can after booking. This is very easy and convenient to do online or by phone. The Washington State Ferry reservation page online explains the system. You can email me if you still have questions.

Guest access
Attached garage will not be accessible to guests. Due to persistent deer and rabbits the gates to the garden and orchard are locked. Otherwise you will have the entire cottage and grounds to yourself.

FoxGlove Cottage is nestled into the shoreline of Deer Harbor on Orcas Island. You will enjoy coffee or wine on the back deck with one of the most epic views this island offers. Walk out your back door to the beach, the marina or for local fare. This cottage newly updated. It is charming and quaint and ready to make memories for your family. We are pet friendly with pre approval. You are able to fly into Deer Harbor on Kenmore Air or use the Washington State Ferry System.

The space
This lovely small cottage sits right above the water. The deck provides viewing of Deer Harbor. In the backyard you will find the ocean and beach steps away from the deck. The steps lead directly to our private beach that’s ever changing with the tides.

Both beds at Foxglove have queen size hybrid mattresses made of high density memory foam and independent spring support. They are very comfy mattresses that absorb noise and vibration caused by turning over during sleep as well as enhanced air circulation that prevents trapped heat for a cool and comfortable sleep.

Guests have access to Foxglove Cottage, two dedicated parking spaces, the backyard, and private beach. We are walking distance to Deer Harbor Marina, whale watching charter boats and kyack tours.

Other things to note
There is a small laundromat (we provide a tokens for one load) at deer harbor within walking distance. The marina also has ice, snacks, wine, and some ready to eat options as well. There are two restaurants in Deer Harbor. Island Pie and Matthew’s Smokehouse both have GF options and great food.

Seacliff Cottage is a beautifully decorated and comfortably furnished arts and crafts style home on Orcas Island in the scenic San Juan Islands of Washington State.

The space
With a National Wildlife Refuge less than a mile offshore, sea life is abundant. Watch seals, sea lions, otters, shorebirds, bald eagles and even whales from the attached, private deck and outdoor spa.

Mount Constitution is just a short 15-minute drive, and offers many different hiking trails to a variety of lakes, waterfalls and scenic overlooks, or the opportunity to take a relaxed drive to the mountaintop to take in the breathtaking scenery.

Just a bit farther down the road is the quaint town of Eastsound, populated with island arts and crafts stores, unique dining opportunities, movies and more. Visits to neighboring San Juan islands are accommodated by the island ferry boats, which can be accessed via a picturesque 40-minute drive around this horseshoe-shaped island.

Two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and one with a full size bed, plus an extra-long window seat in the living room mean that Seacliff Cottage can comfortably accommodate up to five people. Each bedroom (including the window seat) is wrapped in windows, allowing guests to ‘breathe in’ the awe-inspiring surroundings from dawn to dusk.

We recently installed a very simple to use, great sounding Sonos music system serving every room of the house including the deck! Simply download the Sonos S1 app to your phone and choose “connect to an existing system”.

We have also added two GermGuardian UV sterilization air filters, one in the Master Bedroom and one in the Kitchen/Dining Room.

Seacliff is an ideal place for an intimate, tranquil escape for a couple or perhaps 3-4 close friends. It is not suitable for larger groups, even for a brief visit; the cottage is simply too small. As the cottage is perched on a very steep cliff, children are NOT allowed and we strongly advise our guests exercise extreme caution. The private/community beach is perfect for putting in your kayak or just relaxing by the water. We do not participate in the dock maintenance and, accordingly, do not have access to the dock.
