THE LOCATION IS SUNNY AND BRIGHT on the southwest side of San Juan with distant views of the mountains and the sea. The cottage is in a quiet setting on a 6 &2/3 acre horse "ranch. This is a rural residential area. There are neighboring houses so you might expect to hear occasional landscaping maintenance.. The parcels in this area are from 5 to 10 acres. This property is NOT waterfront but water views. There is no immediate water access from this property, however, there is a lovely county beach within 20 minutes walking distance. The main house, where we live, is about 15 feet corner to corner from the cottage, however, there is privacy between with dense gardens and a decorative gate.. The guest cottage was here when we bought the property. We rarely use the cottage so we thought we would share it with others. Your privacy inside and near the cottage is assured; we will never intrude in your space, however, if you are seeking completed seclusion with absolutely no one nearby then this is NOT the place for you.
There are two outdoor patios. The one on the water side has a table & 2 chairs & a propane BBQ. The other smaller stone patio is on the opposite side in the garden with two chairs as well. The hot tub is in the garden between the main house and the cottage which is landscaped with dense foliage and fencing.

We are walking distance to secluded Eagle Cove with a sandy beach, great for relaxing & wading. Walk or drive the short distance to nearby American Camp National Park for hiking opportunities, more beaches and island history information at the ranger station. American Camp is about 2,000 acres of prairie, woods and miles of beaches.
You can expect to see us around the property tending to the garden and the horses.

The cottage is located on the "sunny" southwest side with views of the sea and the mountains. The cottage is situated on a 6 & 1/2 acre "horse ranch" in a quiet rural residential area with parcels ranging from 3 & 1/2 acres to 10 acres. The nearest neighbor is 250 ft. from the cottage and the next closest is about 350 ft. away. Though the main house is about 20 ft. from the guest cottage, it is private. There is no immediate access to the water, however, a 15 minute walk will take you to nearby Eagle Cove Beach and also to the entrance of American Camp National Park with more beaches & trails. Visitors can have beach fires at South Beach which is within the park boundary.
There are two patios adjacent to the cottage; one has a table & chairs and BBQ, The other patio on the opposite side is situated in a large perennial flower garden with chairs provided as well; a pleasant and shady spot to enjoy the hummingbirds and flowers. The hot tub is also in the garden.

The interior design is a mix of world motifs acquired during our travels featuring oriental rugs, and European accessories and has a French Provence influence. There is also a lovely gas fireplace for romantic evenings.

Foxglove cottage is a charming cottage surrounded by a lovely garden situated on 20 acres of majestic fir and cedar forest.There is a small swimming pond with a dock and my artists studio ..The house is completely remodeled and almost brand new. There are slate floors in the kitchen, dining room and entry way and bamboo floors thru out the rest of the house. The original structure was built with beach logs and field stones and lots of creativity . This is truly a craftsman's creation.
The master bedroom is large and spacious . The guest bedroom feels like a tree house. The upstairs bathroom has slate floors, a stone sink , tile shower and small Jacuzzi tub. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and flat screen HDTV. The guest bedroom also has a queen size bed. Both bedrooms have lots of windows viewing the surrounding garden.
The living room has a double door onto a small patio overlooking the pond. There is a large flat screen T.V. and DVD player. The house has access to Dish television.
The kitchen is completely equipped for you to do your own meals . There is a large window seat for lounging . Right outside the kitchen is a patio with table and chairs for outside dining.
The owners live on the property and will be available for any questions you may have. Interaction can be as much or as little as you like. Fresh fruit and veggies will often be available from the garden. Just ask me what might be ripe for the picking. The property is deer fenced so we ask our guests to please remember to close the gates. It is truly amazing how much one deer can eat in an evening stroll thru the garden.
We have a young cream retriever who may wander down for a visit. We try to keep her away from the guests but she is very friendly and loves people above all things. She tends to bark a bit on your arrival which is a greeting of hooray finally someone has come to see me. We are working on this. If you have an issue with dogs please let me know.
There are many wonderful and exciting places to visit on San Juan Island. There are numerous beaches and parks close by. You can hike , bike, swim, whale watch, kayak, or just relax. It is truly a vacationers paradise.

You’ll pass through spectacular Moran State Park on the way, where you will likely want to return for hiking and swimming. Buck Bay Shellfish farm is a family run business that is within walking distance of the home where they have a wonderful array of seafood to purchase, as well as a Bistro cafe. Nearby is Catkins Cafe for breakfast or lunch to enjoy a meal or two.

The Captain's Cottage is in a truly wonderful location down a private road to Davison Head. It overlooks the beach at the Isthmus which is a popular spot to sit and enjoy some of the most spectacular sunsets you’ll ever see! The Cottage is situated on its own half acre lot with several old growth cedar trees and abundant wildlife. The privacy you will find here may be just what you’re looking for.

Built originally as a fishing shack, it has been totally remodeled into a cozy seaside cottage for two. The kitchen is well equipped including full sized stainless steel appliances and a gourmet range. The living room has large picture windows to bring in the light and view regardless of the season. The Cottage which has been newly remodeled and expanded (6/1/2020) is nestled hillside in Eastsound village. It is the perfect location affording a peaceful stay while still being within walking distance of all Eastsound village amenities! We are conducting additional cleaning and sanitizing between each guests stay along with leaving the Cottage vacant for at least 1 day (24 hours).

The Cottage is well appointed with modern accents and comfort in mind.

The Main living room has a cathedral ceiling providing an expansive sense of space and includes a high-end La-Z-Boy Queen Sleeper with Linens and several quilts, Built-In Queen Day Bed with a Pillow-top Mattress and Built In Drawers Below, Love Seat, Recliner, Fireplace, Heat/AC, Smart TV/Direct TV, WIFI, Books and an assortment of games.

The Main Kitchen is fully outfitted - from dishes, pots/pans, baking pans, serving items and even an assortment of cookbooks for your enjoyment. There is a built-in dinette which will comfortably fit six (6) people and the large kitchen island has an additional three (3) bar stools for seating. There are basic cooking supplies which you are welcome to use.

The Upper Master Bedroom Suite has a King Size Bed with a Pillow-top Mattress, luxurious linens and a Lovely Duvet Set. There are two Chaises for your relaxation and reading pleasure.

There is one Full Bathroom with Tub/Shower (Combo) upstairs on the Main Floor. We provide high quality plush towels and artisan soaps/bath salts provided. There is a Washer/Dryer as well.

The Lower Studio Suite is a cozy and intimate space while still affording all the comforts of home. There is a Queen Bed with a Pillowtop mattress and a Twin Day Bed which is located in the TV Nook Area where you can read, watch a movie, take a nap or provide an additional sleeping space if needed. There are two new Lazy-boy Swivel Rocking chairs to enjoy. We provide upscale bedding and additional cozy blankets to make your stay particularly enjoyable. The Lower Studio Suite has Heat/AC, Smart TV/Direct TV, WIFI, Books and an assortment of games.

The Kitchenette is fully outfitted. There is an island which can be used for food prep as well as seating for two indoors.

There is 1 Full Bathroom with a Walk-In Shower. We provide high quality plush towels, artisan soap and bath salts.

There is a Full-Size Washer/Dryer which is located at the top of the Stairwell.

The cottage has a Southerly facing deck and patio with an Ocean View where you can enjoy the lovely view and abundant wildlife.

On the Upper Deck there is a Picnic Table and Umbrella for outside dining and relaxing as well as a Propane BBQ. To fully relax and enjoy the view we have added a new (4) Person Hot Tub accessible from the Main Living Room. The Lower patio has additional seating and an additional Propane BBQ.

The newly installed Gardens are breathtaking and we have strategically created multiple relaxation spaces for our guests to enjoy this beautiful space.

In the evening enjoy the Fire Pit at the bottom of the property and we simply ask that you make sure the Fire is extinguished fully after each use.

Of any rental I've ever stayed in, I greatly appreciated all of the additional amenities, kitchen items, toiletries, etc. that the host included. The only few things I would recommend adding are a full length mirror and a pair of scissors, but that's being really picky :) Otherwise, the space for 2 people was perfect, bed was comfortable, and the view/scenery was just lovely, and it's a great location in town."
