Cleanliness well, things were wiped down but not cleaned. New construction, maybe a couple of years ago. Areas nice but you'll have to climb up a steep hill to reach the stores and restaurants. Can't believe that all the reviews I saw were 5 stars and the one 4 star review was the only one that mentioned the loft bed. Definitely a major safety concern unless you're in good overall condition. Owners were on site and helpful with the one interaction I had with them. Also no storage area for personal items except for 5 hangers in a open closet. There is a bed under the couch in the living space if you can't make the climb but opening it up will take up the entire living area. Frankly, just didn't get the whole thing. Compared to other options, take them not this. Regretfully submitted."

For sounds only the occasional screech of an eagle as it soars high over head or perhaps the soothing rustle of the wind through the cedars. Relax around a cozy gas fireplace and recharge. The space
The view from your cottage is a 250 acre park. You are in a totally private and serene space. Your beautifully appointed cottage has heated floors, an antique clawfoot tub and a private patio with a gas firepit. Note: Pets are allowed but there is a pet fee.

Your cottage is part of Lily Point Park Lodges. Five hand-crafted cottages, designed and built by your host. Each one totally unique. We have recently added a new space for our guests that we call the 'Spirit Lodge' (see the pictures). With the Spirit Lodge we have tried to create an indoor / outdoor space that you can use to relax and entertain in. It also features a infrared sauna where you can melt away any aches and pains.

Our cottages are located at a very special place on the planet. Point Roberts Wa. USA. is five square miles, one zip code, a park on each corner. The absolute Northwestern tip of the United States. (and we have the Monument to prove it). Point Roberts is cut off from the rest of the continental United States by Canada. You have to drive through Canada (about 30 minutes) to get here.

If you're thinking of working remotely, Point Roberts could be the best choice. Point Roberts has some unique advantages. First and foremost you are in the United States AND you are only a few minutes away from one of the great international cites, Vancouver Canada. We are closer to downtown Vancouver BC than most of the suburbs of Vancouver. Where else can you find a world class nature experience virtually next door to an exciting foreign metropolis. And remember that the Canadian dollar is at an all time low against the US dollar. So you have all the excitement of Vancouver and also Whistler mountain with its amazing 36 gondolas and chairs (only 2.5 hours) away. And don’t forget Seattle, also only 2.5 hours away.

Our Canadian neighbor Tsawwassen (7 minutes drive) has over 50 good restaurants. Your cottage has its own internet high speed access point. We have had many guests working remotely over the last few years.

We are fortunately only about 40 minutes from the downtown of one of the most celebrated cities of this millennium, Vancouver BC Canada. A day trip into Vancouver is a wonderful experience. We are about 30 minutes from Vancouver International Airport. We are also twenty minutes from one the terminals of the largest ferry system in the world at Tsawwassen BC. From there you can venture all the way up the northern pacific coast to Haida Gwaii, the legendary Island home of the Haida first nation, over 500 miles by water.

When you have that little slice of free time you want to make it as satisfying as possible. But more than that, our cottages are at Lily Point. We are connected to the Lily Point Marine Reserve on our eastern boundary. Lily Point Park is 250 acres of trails and over a mile of pristine secluded Pacific beach and tidelands.

Other things to note
The location is world class. The first thing you notice when arrive is the sound. You know right away that you are someplace special. You can just totally relax with hot baths, saunas and hikes in the park or you can use the cottage as your base to explore exciting Vancouver BC or even the nearby islands (the gulf islands ferry terminal is only a few minutes away).

2BR Cottonwood Cottage is a step back in time to simple comforts and farmhouse/cabin décor, with a few modern luxuries to make your stay in Washington State's heartland even more enjoyable. Regional attractions are easy day trips - less than 2 hours each way. Wineries, ghost towns, rodeos, antique stores, beaches, back roads - explore them all, or curl up with a good book. Small well-behaved pet okay. Not suitable for children or the physically challenged. Great for two couples!

The space
Cottonwood is the largest of my Kokanee Cottages, with two small but charming bedrooms and everything you need for a great night's sleep – vintage and antique double beds (note: shorter than modern queen and king beds) with cotton sheets and patchwork quilts, lots of pillows, thick memory foam mattresses. The living room is a great place to lounge and visit with friends and family, read books from the great selection in the bookcase, or watch the widescreen HD Smart TV. DVDs, jigsaw puzzles and board games are in the suitcases under the basket made from used lassos. The kitchen has everything you need to whip up a fabulous meal with local produce, and a killer vintage egg beater collection. Make fresh pasta, jam, espresso, cocktails. There's only one bathroom, but the new toilet does what it's supposed to do very well. The computer desk shares space with the washer and dryer. (Note: washing machine currently on the fritz.) Check out all the fabulous vintage light fixtures (and one crazy modern one). Vintage and limited edition art prints showcase nature’s finest. You'll love the retro look and relaxed ambiance of Cottonwood Cottage, and want to "come home" again and again.

You have access to Cottonwood Cottage (unit 3) and the shed where the deck chairs, BBQ grills, and camping/sporting equipment are stored. (Camping/sporting equipment can be borrowed at your own risk, and must be returned clean and in good condition.) The yards between the cottages are shared spaces. There may or may not be guests (or me!) in the other Kokanee Cottages - Tamarack and Pine Cone (units 1 and 2 duplex), Nootka Rose (unit 4), and 2BR small pet-friendly Saskatoon (Unit 5). Lots of parking space in the gravel lot that fronts the cottages.

Other things to note
COVID 19 PROTOCOL: At Kokanee Cottages, we clean to AirBnB's Covid 19 standards and have a 48-hour buffer between bookings. (If you want to book sooner you can do so at your own risk - send a request.) The cottages provide much better isolation than a large hotel with many guests and staff. No physical contact with host necessary (key are in a coded lockbox). Close to grocery store and (worst case) hospital. Wifi for teleworking. STAY SAFER IN A CUTE COUNTRY COTTAGE.

- There are is no bathroom (or kitchen) fan, so please use the dehumidifier in the bathroom if there is a lot of shower activity (or a lot of moist cookery).
- Please poop scoop your dog on the property and fronting sidewalk.
- Garbage pickup is Thursday morning.
WINTER ALERT: As is typical in very old houses with unheated crawl spaces, if the weather gets below 27 degrees, all the water faucets need to dribble to prevent pipes freezing, breaking, and flooding (and very costly repairs); thank you for making sure there is a minute but steady flow. There are also little portable heaters to set up in the kitchen and bathroom to help with keeping the pipes warm.
SUMMER ALERT: Removing shoes when going inside will prevent nasty goathead burrs from embedding themselves in the carpet and then in your feet.
EXTENDED-STAY GUESTS:
- For stays longer than one week, there is a mandatory weekly cleaning (and fee) factored into the discounted rate to keep the bed linens changed and the bath and kitchen areas up to snuff. The cottage must be tidied and dishes done before the scheduled weekly cleaning.
- There is no mail service to the cottages, but the post office is just 6 blocks north and you can set up a General Delivery address for one month.

The Primrose Cottage at The Brick House Nursery (2023) offers a charming and unique space to unwind. With two large, private outdoor spaces, a unique design, and tranquil views the Primrose Cottage transports you back in time.

This renovated cottage is located on a stunning, 5-acre family farm near Maple Beach. The 1000 sqft cottage features two bedrooms, one bathroom, a gourmet kitchen, washer/dryer, WiFi, large windows throughout, as well as a large, sunny deck.

The space
This renovated cottage is located on a stunning, 5-acre family farm in Point Roberts, WA. The farm was established by one of Point Roberts' pioneer families, and has been lovingly maintained and improved by the current owners. Large windows and an expansive, sunny deck offer views of an orchard of heritage apple, pear, plum and peach trees, as well as a picturesque, antique barn.

The open-concept cottage features 1000 square feet of living area, including two bedrooms, one bathroom, a gourmet kitchen, and large windows throughout. The spacious master bedroom has one queen bed and a walk-in closet. The guest bedroom will sleep up to 3 people in a bunk bed with a twin mattress on top and a double mattress below, and has ample closet space. The kitchen features Silestone counters, walnut cabinets, and stainless steel appliances, including a gas range, dishwasher, large refrigerator, and microwave. The fully upgraded bathroom features a floating vanity with double sinks, a “shower for two” complete with a rain-shower head, and a full-size washer and dryer. Guests will be comfortable in any season with both air conditioning and an efficient wood-burning stove. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans and in-wall heaters. Enjoy the sunshine and serene views from the 500 square foot deck. Amenities include WiFi, a 50” smart T.V., on-demand water heater, beach chairs and beach towels.

Enjoy peace and quiet at the Cottage at Useful Bear Farm. Great for families, couples, friends. Vashon has lots to offer year-round: hiking, biking, beaches, bird-watching, or just relax and unwind. Conveniently located near the north-end ferry and close to town with great shops and restaurants.
Full kitchen, bathroom and living/dining room on the first floor. Upstairs is a large sleeping loft with a queen bed, trundle bed, and sofa bed.
A portion of proceeds go to local housing programs.

Eagle Cliff Cottage is a fully equipped waterfront cottage perched on a high bluff above Juniper Beach on peaceful Camano Island, with sweeping views of Mount Rainier and Puget Sound. Easy drive-on access just 56 miles / 1 hour north of downtown Seattle - no ferry needed!
Though you will probably be drawn outside to nature and the local parks, the cottage also has a desk and fast wifi powered by Wave, so you can effectively work "from home" and stream video while you stay!

Adventure and rejuvenate at the Wayfarer on Vine, located in the heart of Port Angeles, gateway to Olympic National Park. The cozy cottage is situated in a peaceful neighborhood walking distance from downtown Port Angeles and the waterfront, and 30 minutes from Lake Crescent and Hurricane Ridge. Whether you are exploring the reaches of the Olympics, ferrying to/from Canada, or finding your inner peace in the peninsula, let us play host to your travels!

The space
The cottage is a 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom space with newly updated interior. Kitchen is fully equipped with appliances, with complimentary coffee and tea for guests. Each bedroom has a queen size bed and heater. Extra towels and bedding in the main closet.

Guest access
The access door code will be sent a few days before guest arrival. Check in will start at 4pm day of arrival, and check out is at 11am. We politely request that guests stay in the living area, and abide by house rules. Please review our guest manual for tips and recommendations.

Other things to note
We welcome people of all backgrounds with authentic hospitality and open minds. Please be respectful of neighbors. We hope your stay in Port Angeles is memorable!
