The space
This small rural downtown is safe, and our property is clean, quiet, and secure. There are two shared entrances to the building to a hallway that provides private access to your room. All doors require keycode for entry, and entrances are monitored for your safety.

Your private bathroom is located across the hall a few steps away. It is private, not shared with anyone else.

Rooms have a vanity sink, medicine cabinet, fan, dresser, and a mini fridge. There is a clothing rack on the wall with hangers.

The room is serviced by a heat pump which provides heat and AC, with temperatures around 70 degrees. For those who like things a bit warmer, there is a Cadet heater for additional heat.

No keys to lose or to return! This property provides secure, keyless entry with an August Smart Lock. You can lock and unlock the door with your personal entry code issued to you for the duration of your stay.

The Panama Hotel was built in 1910 and is rich in history. Through the years it has served as a home for generations of immigrants, fisherman and travelers. The building houses the only remaining Japanese bathhouse left in the US. The hotel is centrally located in Seattle's International District, close to downtown and is featured in the novel, "Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet." The Blue Room is on the second floor and is appointed with calming blue-themed decor throughout.

The space
The hotel has remained true to its early century decor and feel and is a designated National Historic Landmark. The original brick outer facade opens up into a grand central stairway flanked by bright brass handrails and illuminated by recessed lighting reflecting off of smooth subway tile, reminiscent of classic Hollywood. The rooms are compact with full-size beds, personal sinks, and white linens. There are separated men and women’s bathrooms for each floor that are shared among approximately five rooms. Residents of the hotel are serviced with daily maid service and a shared central lounge with refrigerator. The Panama Cafe is conveniently located in the building where you can get coffee, tea, and bites to eat. The hotel serves as a historic place to stay while visiting Seattle and porthole view into Seattle’s past and present. Experience the romance of a simpler time!

The Panama is true to its historical roots as a turn-of-the-century workers hotel with amenities from the era - so shared bathrooms and no air conditioning, elevator, TV, or mini-fridge. Check-in is from 3pm-10pm, however it may be possible for later check-in from Thursday to Sunday (when there is a doorman at the entrance) - if this is necessary please notify in advance to arrange. The space
This modern studio suite is tastefully designed, simplistic, and cozy. Custom crafted fir cabinets and built-in furniture combined with concrete counters and slate flooring maintain an organic atmosphere. Crisp and comfortable textiles embrace you like the comforts of home. A useful kitchenette provides a sink, fridge/freezer, microwave, and toaster oven for simple meals. Your room is furnished with a queen-sized bed and sitting area with a comfortable sleeper sofa. Enjoy the sounds of the river through the trees and views of Icicle Ridge from your private balcony. This guest suite is located on the entry level floor of the building. The natural daylight in this southwest facing space is bright and airy. You will enjoy the views off of the balcony from this corner unit in the direction of Icicle Ridge and the Wenatchee River.

Guests will have access to their reserved suite and private balcony, one designated parking space on the property, and access to the shared ski/bike storage room located on the lower level of the building.

Other things to note
This building is shared with 6 other rental units and is not suitable for noisy gatherings of any kind. We do not welcome bachelor/bachelorette parties. We respect quiet hours out of courtesy for all of our guests. Please book according to this request.

Snow, Fire, & Smoke:
Leavenworth has seasonal weather which may disrupt travel plans.
We are not responsible for natural disasters which might affect your stay such as snow storms, fires, smoke, floods, etc. As such, we do not refund outside of our cancellation policy if you decide to forgo your trip due to such circumstances, unless an official closure notice has been issued and guests are literally unable to come – which is a very rare occurrence. If you are concerned about losing your deposit in this sort of event, we highly recommend purchasing Travel Insurance. Please do not expect us to be your insurance policy. We also encourage folks who may have respiratory issues to not plan your stay during the typical fire/smoke season (generally the month of August has a higher potential for fires in the surrounding area.)

Guests also have access to a fully outfitted outdoor grilling area, fire pit, and six-person hot tub all overlooking the water.
The Inn view deck is available for open-air enjoyment and safe social distancing. (The Inn Gathering Space indoor area is staff-only except during group booking of all guesthouses.)

Sunrise Suite is dog-friendly for friendly dogs; other animals cannot be accommodated in this guesthouse. There is a $95 dog fee with a maximum of 2 dogs per unit.

$100 deposit is required on arrival. This deposit will be fully refunded 7 days after check-out, as long as there isn't any damage to the property.

No show Policy:
100% of first night will be charged in case of a No-show.

Cancellation Policy:
Guest can cancel reservation for free with more than 24 hours prior notice. If guest cancel within 24 hours of their check-in day, they will be charged for one night stay no matter the number of stay days.
