The 900 sq foot rustic cabin is bright and airy, with water views from every room (except the bathroom), cedar ceilings, and new lighting and a ceiling fan in the living room that keep it cheery year-round, even on stormy days.

NEW! AC for 2025. Two efficient AC window units now added during peak months to each bedroom (total count of #2) for those few warm summer days, though usually opening the windows to capture the ocean breeze are enough to cool off.

The new updated kitchen packs in all the creature comforts of home with stainless appliances and even a small dishwasher.

Heating has been updated with baseboard electric heat and is cozy year-round.

Outside you'll enjoy our expansive deck, private fire pit with plenty of firewood, and seasonal outdoor grill and steps to the beach (available March through October).

Each day brings beautiful views of ships, birds and sometimes seals and otters, and occasionally whales playing in the water, and of the snowy peaks of the Olympic Mountains rising in the distance across the waters of Admiralty Inlet. To the east, watch the sun rise over the Swantown Lake Wildlife Refuge. Every window has a view of the water, but the Living Room is west facing to capture the warmth of the afternoon sun on a large private deck in fair weather, or inspire romance watching storm-churned waves while comfortably seated inside.

Evenings can be spent curled up with a book on super comfy new living furniture, playing games and doing puzzles with friends and family, or watching a movie. Use the grill on the deck (available seasonally) and end the evening with a camp fire in our outdoor fire pit (wood is usually available.) Or, you may prefer an evening out with great dining options in Coupeville, Oak Harbor and beyond.

The house sleeps up to 4 comfortably, with up to 5 by approval (and an extra fee). There is a pillow-top Queen Bed in the Master, and two twins in the second bedroom. The twins can be pushed together with added bedding to "make a king bed". There is a sleeper sofa is in the Living Room with added foam topper. We even provide a portable crib and bedding for infants.

Action seekers may launch their own kayaks and paddle boards to test their skills on the exposed beaches of Whidbey Island's west shore, or make the ten minute trip to launch in world famous Penn Cove for a quieter, more relaxing experience. Take the opportunity to explore the hiking at Ebey's Landing, and bike the trails of "The Kettles" exploring a landscape scoured by glaciers thousands of years ago.

Sunset Beach Haven has been updated since 2012 with new finishes, appliances, dishes, cookware, and furnishings. Wiring, and plumbing have also been updated and insulation has been added as well. New radiant heaters keep the house comfortable, even in the winter storms. New ceiling fan in the LR adds comfort along with NEW seasonal window AC units in the bedrooms.

The historic waterfront town of Coupeville, can be reached in about ten minutes by car. Enjoy a "Practical Magic" walking tour, wine tasting, or try fresh Penn Cove mussels at any of several great restaurants.

Oak Harbor, to the east, is even closer for major shopping amenities and restaurants. Deception Pass Bridge and State Park are about 15 minutes north. To the south lies Fort Ebey, Fort Casey, Ebey's Landing and the nearby Coupeville Ferry with service to historic Port Townsend. Greenbank Winery, antiques shops, galleries, and the town of Langley are further afield.

Located on Holmes Harbor just 12 miles from the Mukilteo/Clinton ferry, this well appointed and charming cottage is comfortable for short or long stays and features beautiful views, a cozy wood burning fireplace, hammock for enjoying the view and napping, easy to use gas firepit on the deck with expansive water and mountain view, nestled between the bluff overlooking the water, our small orchard and peaceful woods.

Reliable, high speed internet with WiFi is included. The cottage is perfect for those who want to vacation while working remotely and need a change of scenery getaway, where they can continue to work virtually, while being surrounded by beautiful views and natures refreshing peace and quiet.

The compact kitchen, although small, has a full size refrigerator with freezer and all cooking implements, pots and pans etc needed to prepare meals. The kitchen is outfitted with an induction cooktop built into the counter, Keurig coffee maker with K-Cup pods included, electric skillet, waffle iron and large toaster oven. During the colder months the old fashioned wood burning cook stove can be used for cooking and makes the cottage really cozy warm, so best only used during winter. In addition there is an outdoor Weber charcoal grill available for BBQ and Roasting any time of the year.

Upon arrival, drive down the wooded lane past the serene pond and lush orchard populated by our friendly geese. Enjoy the sweeping water and mountain views from inside and outside from the full length deck. A privacy fence and "scenic view point" Gazebo for guest use occupy the space between the cottage and the owners home.

One of the highlights of the cottage is the spectacular view from the cozy window seat or comfy queen size bed. The huge picture windows look directly out to the mountains, water, sunset and the bright stars at night. A sun shade on the outside of the bedroom picture window can be pulled down for privacy and for shade to block the hot sun in the afternoons or tone down the morning light if you want to sleep in.

Bring your own smart device for streaming content to the large screen TV in the bedroom via HDMI cable or Google Chromecast once you've logged into the cottage high speed internet WiFi. There's also a DVD and VHS player attached to the TV with a nice selection of movies provided.

Langley, "The Village by the Sea", the entertainment center of South Whidbey is a quick 10 minute drive or the perfect scenic bike ride away! And, the cottage is only 3 miles from Payless Foods, a fabulous full service Grocery store in Freeland, the nearest town, has an excellent selection of fresh seafood, including the best fresh salmon and dungeness crab you can get anywhere.

The guest house is clean and tidy and nicely decorated with lovely little nooks for a quiet glass of wine or a good read and also equipped with a small office area. There is a patio for sitting outside on a summer evening.

Wildlife and nature abound on this property. Watch the deer, rabbits, eagles and native birds and listen to the sounds of seals, and the frogs in the nearby pond as you fall asleep...... or just close the window for silence.

Whidbey Island is just a 15 minute ferry-ride from the mainland in Mukilteo. It is close to the city of Seattle and Vancouver but very rural and quiet. Nearby you will find beaches, biking and hiking trails, golf courses and pleasant seaside towns. Most of all you will find peaceful tranquility.

We are located just 8 miles from Langley with its shops, restaurants, theaters, music and public beaches. Langley has a pleasant downtown with great walking streets for strolling.

We are just 6 miles from Freeland where you will find a more-than-adequate shopping center for all your daily needs and also Double Bluff beach, a lovely and seemingly endless, dog friendly beach.

Bayview is also just 6 miles away with restaurants, a bicycle shop and a garden nursery as well as a summer-long Saturday farmers market.

To the North is Greenbank farm with café, wine shop, and cheese shop in a beautiful wetlands setting. And, Coupeville is another lovely seaside town shops, restaurants and is the home of the famous Penn Cove mussels. Near Coupeville is the historic Ebeys Landing and the Keystone ferry where you can access Port Townsend and the Olympic Peninsula.

Deception Pass is on the north end of the Island and a truly spectacular place to visit with camping, beaches and state park. If you travel over the bridge at Deception Pass which connects Whidbey and Fidalgo Islands you are just 10 minutes from Anacortes: a quaint seaside town with a busy and attractive harbor, antique stores and restaurants.

The “Seastar” is a great open beam view home with two bedrooms and one full bath. In the second bedroom, you have your choice of two twin beds or a queen! Whatever you would like! Super comfortable living room with rustic table made from recycled wood off the beach below!
There is a wraparound deck facing the water, along with a large yard with fruit trees. There are great views of the snow capped Olympic Mountains, shipping lanes, ferries crossing, Port Townsend and of course gorgeous sunsets! Did you want eagles, hummingbirds, sea lions and whales? Just to name a few of our friends!

Driftwood Way is a very quiet street that ends down on our Bon Air community private beach so simply walk down the Driftwood Way road and experience Whidbey Island beaches and start making memories... some of my favorite Vacationers could not make it in their normal time slot… But that opens it up for you!

Sharon's Cottage is a privately owned, cozy, bright & cheery property, that is located about a half mile from the charming seaside village of downtown Langley. The home has a floor to ceiling wall of north facing windows in the dining/living room area, which allows for good lighting, even on those northwest cloudy days. Double French doors lead to a spacious deck to relax on and enjoy the abundant wildlife all around.

The open floor plan allows for good flow from the well equipped kitchen with eating bar, dining room & living room. There is a great freestanding propane fireplace to unwind and read a good book by.

The cottage is decorated in cheery colors reminiscent of a French country cottage, complete with hand painted décor. The pine plank floors from New Hampshire add warmth and charm. There is a peekaboo view from the front porch or side yard area.

There is one bedroom on the main level with a king-size pillow top bed, ceiling fan and skylight. The second bedroom is an upstairs open area loft, which overlooks the living room. There is a king-size bed in the loft with double skylights that lead to views of the stars & towering cedars above.

We were able to spread out on the floor and each have a separate surface for sewing. Despite the usual PNW weather there was a ton of light that streamed in all day from the floor to second story windows. We slept very comfortably asked for a late check out to keep sewing and had a luxurious slow exit to the property. I would definitely stay here again."

You will have a refreshing view of Holmes Harbor and are only a few minutes from the Harbor itself, to the NE, or 1/2 mile from Mutiny Bay Beach to the W, with a fabulous sandy beach and a gorgeous west side view of the Olympics and sunsets. So many great beaches and views and hiking places on Whidbey and many nearby!
Enjoy 1/2 dozen fresh eggs from our chickens located near the cottage. You can sign up to use our 2 seater kayak. Great central location to explore Whidbey, close to several fabulous restaurants and our local grocery store. Or do your own barbeque on the front deck as you view Holmes Harbor and enjoy the soft afternoon wind we typically have here.

Villa Margot, our "butterfly" cottage, is a comfy retreat that sits on six beautiful acres of fir, spruce and cedar forest above our vineyard, five minutes from downtown Langley, our Village by the Sea, a ten minute walk. Quiet, peaceful, the villa has a cozy sleeping room with double bed, comfy seating area, upscale bathroom with large shower, and a galley kitchenette/eating area overlooking the vineyard to the south. A pleasant deck offers south and west sun, complete with chairs, table, umbrella and gas BBQ grill. A common firepit is available, nestled into the forest. The cottage is accessed by a country gravel drive through the forest and up the ridge. We are located in a quiet community just above Sunlight Beach on Useless Bay. It is just a short stroll (1/3 mile) to the community beach & picnic area and a mile or so to Bayview, heart of the Island's south end.

Location/Map Note: We are located on the west side of Bayview Road which is on the beach side. Some map programs incorrectly place the cottage on the other side of Bayview road. You do not have to walk across Bayview Road to get to the beach & community picnic area. Please just ask if you have any questions.

Witch normally the closest we get is Coupeville but that's about 45 mins away. So we got tired of that an tried this out for our first vacation home. It was amazing it's very cute all the stuff in the kitchen worked very well. they provided lots of pots an pans an silverware an so on cups wine glasses etc etc an the beds were pretty comfy too. All around best place we've stayed and I highly recommend it."

This shingled 1-bedroom cottage perches just steps above the water, with easy beach access. The living room has a water view, and the kitchen is fully equipped, with a dining table that seats four. Off the living room is a deck that offers space for lounging and enjoying the views of the beach and water. A half bath and washer/dryer are adjacent to the kitchen.

Upstairs, the loft bedroom overlooks the living room and the water, and offers a comfortable king bed. Up a steep ladder is a small sleeping cubby, with a narrow sleeping pad for an older child or agile adult. The adjacent bathroom features both a shower and a bathtub with a large window looking down at the water. A large walk-in closet completes the upper level.

Wifi and cable are provided; cell phone reception is adequate but not ideal in all areas of the house. Enjoy the convenience of a washer/dryer, new dishwasher, and gas range.

This property is perfect for a couple or small family, but is not recommended for toddlers or very young children.

Just steps down from the cottage is the beach and sandbar. Fishing and swimming (especially when the tide has come in over a sunny sandbar) - make for wonderful memories. Miles of walking trails extend through the woods across the road. The charming village of Langley is a mile and a half away - a five minute drive or a walk along the beach - with shops, galleries, restaurants, and more.

The cottage is adjacent to the Log Castle vacation home (vrbo.com/1015151) and can be rented by itself or with the Log Castle, to provide additional sleeping and living quarters. This property is new on the market and has no reviews yet, but the property manager is an experienced Premier Host.

There is an owner occupied apartment on the property, so we can answer any questions or address any issues you may have either in person or by text. A 10:00 pm quiet time is requested.

- "The cabin was clean and well-appointed. We enjoyed the little extras, like candles next to the bathtub and copies of hiking trails that were close by. This cabin is so close to the water that we felt we were on a boat when the tide was in. And when the tide was out, there was a little beach to explore. We saw plenty of birds and seals, but no orcas on this trip.It should be noted that there are rustic stairs down to this cabin. I'm two months out from a knee surgery, so found them a little difficult to maneuver. That being said, the view was well worth it, and I hope to return soon."

Courtyard Cottage is a charmingly restored 1940's fisherman's cottage, which includes an adjacent studio. The Main Cottage contains a bed for 2, bathroom, and kitchen, and the Studio functions as a spacious living room with TV, game table, and sectional. The buildings are surrounded by a fenced courtyard and patio which makes for a relaxing and private getaway. The community beach is just a short walk downhill. The Clinton Ferry is 3 miles away and Langley is a 15-minute drive.

The space
The main Cottage features a newly remodeled kitchen with a dishwasher and seating for two with a queen bed and bath. The kitchen is well equipped for a serious cook.

The Studio is located across the courtyard from the main Cottage and has a sectional for lounging and relaxing with a widescreen TV and wood-burning fireplace. A table and chairs are set up for games and puzzles. The studio can also be used for overflow sleeping accommodations (it has an airbed and sectional), but there is no restroom in the studio so this situation is ideal for a couple or small family. Both buildings have in-wall heaters and wi-fi. The studio has a SmartTV with free content or use your own streaming service by logging in to one of its apps.

The private courtyard has a variety of seasonal plantings and a large shade tree. There is lounge seating around a fire pit and cafe seating with a barbeque and patio string lights.

Guest parking is limited to 2 car parking spots out front.

Dogs are welcome however please keep your dog on a leash and do not leave them unattended.

Guests are welcome to walk around the property and can even pick blackberries in July and August. Fenced areas are prohibited due to an aging pet suffering vision loss and fear of unknown people.

Whidbey Bluff Cottage is a great launching pad to explore Whidbey Island. There are many parks and sites including a new Possession Sound Reserve beach trail one mile south on Humphrey rd.

For decades, ELF House has been a musical sanctuary by the edge of Race Lagoon - we welcome you to this magical home of good vibes. Looking out to the east, Mt. Baker and the Cascades are visible on clear days, and there's an endless fiesta of bird activity on the protected lagoon. Sunrises dazzle, as does the occasional east-facing sunset. Kayaks, sauna, deck, fully equipped kitchen, a loft and two firestoves on three levels.
We enthusiastically welcome people of all backgrounds in our home.

The space
Sleeping areas are: the downstairs private bedroom with queen bed and en suite bathroom; the loft, with a double bed and a single futon, on opposite sides of the stairwell; and the downstairs common room with fullsize futon by the cozy stove. For parties that wish to have separate sleeping places, there's a sofa and two single futons that could be used on the floor.
There are open wooden staircases so kids would need to be cautioned not to play next to them.
We cherish our Yamaha grand piano and encourage you to enjoy playing it! Please be sure that all of your guests are aware that we use this instrument for house concerts, composer residencies and recording sessions and we request that everyone who plays it does so with love and care, and be very certain not to place anything on it.
We've just remodeled the upstairs bathroom and it now has a beautiful new tub and shower with a cobalt blue tile surround!

PLEASE NOTE IF YOU ARE BOOKING ON A WEEKDAY: there is the possibility of nearby OLF naval jet runs: the navy practices takeoff and landing runs from Coupeville's Outlying Field sometimes. The E-18Gs can be LOUD and they publish a schedule usually a week before their training runs, but they NEVER PRACTICE ON WEEKENDS. Some people find watching the jets fascinating, but they are pretty loud during the few hours when they're up there. We do not control the US Navy, and we are not in a position to issue refunds to guests who might have their weekday stay disrupted by (occasional but unavoidable-when-it-happens) jet noise. If you have concerns about the possibility of encountering the Growlers, please book a Friday-Monday stay or Friday-Sunday or Saturday- Monday visit.

Beachcomber Cottage is part of the Garden Isle Cottages that are nestled in the heart of the charming, historic 1853 town of Coupeville, Washington, located on Whidbey Island. Walking distance to fabulous restaurants and shops. Your cottage is furnished with a comfortable Queen Bed, Bathroom with Walkin shower. Kitchen offers coffee pot and coffee, cooktop and a Built in Microwave Convection Oven. Small refrigerator, WI-FI and TV are also provided for your stay.

The Main room of the cottage is large and has French doors that open to a back deck. There is a Kitchenette with a table and chairs. Nice large Bathroom with a walk in Shower.

This home is located on the upper floor of a multi use carriage house in Ebey's Historic Reserve. We have sweeping views on two sides across farm lands to the Olympic Mtns & the Port Townsend Ferry. Behind us we have a 10 acres wood that is connected to the Whidbey Camano Land Trust Walking trail and an active Eagle's nest There are bike trails and state parks close by. There is a lot of wild life around us to enjoy.

The space
This is a multi use building. This is a 3+ bedroom home. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed, walk in closet and private door to the bathroom. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed, closet and dresser. The third sleeping space has a full bed with a TV and DVD player. It also has a loft with full and single beds up a ship ladder. This is off the laundry room. There is just a curtain that divides it from the laundry room. SEE PICTURES.

Additionally, we run a small plant nursery and sometimes there will be gardeners staying in the studio, also located in the building. The home is brand new. We use it ourselves quite a bit, so it is fully equipped with all necessary amenities. The phone service is spotty. We have good Wifi. The home is very spacious with high ceilings, a huge deck and porch. The long vistas and sounds of nature are very relaxing. Our property is 5.6 acres. We are surrounded by 200 acres of farm fields on two sides of us and behind us is a 10 acres wood that has the Ebey walking trail running through it and down our driveway. We only have 1 neighbor on our lane. It is pretty secluded.

There is a west side studio apartment that is private. We have a very large deck that is shared with the studio on the west end of the building. There is a chance that we, or our nursery staff, might be staying in the studio when you are there.

There is a glamping tent on the east end of the 5.6 acre property that we also rent out through hip camp. They will have access to our key coded bathroom on the ground floor, and outdoor shower on the west side of the building. Please be courteous if others are also staying on the property.

You are free to walk the gardens and land, with the exception of the nursery which is in the deer fenced area.

You are welcome to shut the main gate when you are there to close yourself in.

Other things to note
The Navy has a practice field nearby our home. Once in a while they fly the jets here to practice aircraft carrier landings. We don't have any control over when or how long they fly. They publish their schedule. It can be found online if you look up OLF Coupeville flight schedule, but they often do not adhere to their own schedule. We have a few sets of noise canceling headphones and ear plugs in the front hall closet for you to use if needed. The TV and DVD in bedroom 3 have dual headphones if you want to watch a movie during this time. We apologize upfront if they fly during your stay. Sadly we cannot guarantee they won't fly during your stay but in the years we have been there they have never flown on a Saturday or Sunday.

Beach access is just a short 150 foot walk. Low bank sandy beach and expansive tide flats at low tides (See on-line tide charts for Hansville). This waterfront home is located in the tranquil community of Baby Island Heights on the east side of Whidbey Island, on a high bluff with approximately 75 feet of frontage. It's an area of the island - seven miles northwest of downtown Langley - known for its black-tailed deer population. To access the private beach, you need only walk up the road and down the hill to the right; once you're there, you'll likely catch a glimpse of the harbor seals that are known to frequent the area. Please keep your distance from the beautiful wildlife both on and off the beach, admiring the seal, deer, and eagle population from afar.

The Trails End House is a 2 Bed 2 Bath 1950's high bank waterfront cottage.
This is a getaway for those who wish to reset and relax while enjoying all that Whidbey Island has to offer. Sip on local drip coffee while gazing at 180 degree views of Mt Baker, the Cascades Mountain Range and Holmes Harbor frequented by Grey Whales. Walk to the Farm. Private beach access via a lush green trail. New mini split heat and AC just installed!

The space
The cottage offers wifi and a smart TV preloaded with Netflix, hulu etc.. Feel free to use the washer and dryer as needed. Other amenities include a cooks kitchen featuring a microwave, coffee maker, blender, fridge icemaker and filtered water, stove, and dishwasher.
Waterfront is accessed using a trail at the bottom of the property which leads to a ladder to the beach (used by the more adventurous guests) No other homes have beach access for hundreds of yards in either direction. (I do permit both of my lovely neighbors to use the trail as well.)

*This is a High Bank beach front property, which means it is located on a bluff or cliff. Although our cliff is blocked by heavy amounts of vegetation, do not venture pass the vegetation line at the base of the property.
*The path to the beach is magical and a must see. The ladder at the bottom of the path down to the beach is strictly use at your own risk and is not suitable for all guests. There is a boat launch and public beach access 1/2 mile down the road as well.

*PLEASE NOTE* During weekdays, the Navy jets do fly at a low altitude close to the cottage while conducting test flights on this portion of the island. The frequency and duration of these flights can vary, but are generally more active during summer months due to weather and daylight hours. They do at times also fly in the evening into night hours. PLEASE check the Jet practice schedule before booking. While some folks like to see the jets others can be more sensitive to the noise.
