The Cottage which has been newly remodeled and expanded (6/1/2020) is nestled hillside in Eastsound village. It is the perfect location affording a peaceful stay while still being within walking distance of all Eastsound village amenities! The village hosts a waterfront park, quaint shops, fantastic dining options, local bookstore, farmers market and many recreational opportunities from bicycle rentals to whale watching excursions. You will never be at a loss for things to do.

The gem of the San Juan Islands, Orcas Island awaits you! From beach combing, hiking, deep sea and fresh water fishing, sailing, kayaking, whale watching and more assure that this will be a trip of a lifetime!

We are conducting additional cleaning and sanitizing between each guests stay along with leaving the Cottage vacant for at least 1 day (24 hours).

The Main living room has a cathedral ceiling providing an expansive sense of space and includes a high-end La-Z-Boy Queen Sleeper with Linens and several quilts, Built-In Queen Day Bed with a Pillow-top Mattress and Built In Drawers Below, Love Seat, Recliner, Fireplace, Heat/AC, Smart TV/Direct TV, WIFI, Books and an assortment of games.

The Main Kitchen is fully outfitted - from dishes, pots/pans, baking pans, serving items and even an assortment of cookbooks for your enjoyment. There is a built-in dinette which will comfortably fit six (6) people and the large kitchen island has an additional three (3) bar stools for seating. There are basic cooking supplies which you are welcome to use.

The Upper Master Bedroom Suite has a King Size Bed with a Pillow-top Mattress, luxurious linens and a Lovely Duvet Set. There are two Chaises for your relaxation and reading pleasure.

There is one Full Bathroom with Tub/Shower (Combo) upstairs on the Main Floor. We provide high quality plush towels and artisan soaps/bath salts provided. There is a Washer/Dryer as well.

The Lower Studio Suite is a cozy and intimate space while still affording all the comforts of home. There is a Queen Bed with a Pillowtop mattress and a Twin Day Bed which is located in the TV Nook Area where you can read, watch a movie, take a nap or provide an additional sleeping space if needed. There are two new Lazy-boy Swivel Rocking chairs to enjoy. We provide upscale bedding and additional cozy blankets to make your stay particularly enjoyable. The Lower Studio Suite has Heat/AC, Smart TV/Direct TV, WIFI, Books and an assortment of games.

The Kitchenette is fully outfitted. There is an island which can be used for food prep as well as seating for two indoors.

There is 1 Full Bathroom with a Walk-In Shower. We provide high quality plush towels, artisan soap and bath salts.

There is a Full-Size Washer/Dryer which is located at the top of the Stairwell.

The cottage has a Southerly facing deck and patio with an Ocean View where you can enjoy the lovely view and abundant wildlife.

On the Upper Deck there is a Picnic Table and Umbrella for outside dining and relaxing as well as a Propane BBQ. To fully relax and enjoy the view we have added a new (4) Person Hot Tub accessible from the Main Living Room. The Lower patio has additional seating and an additional Propane BBQ.

The newly installed Gardens are breathtaking and we have strategically created multiple relaxation spaces for our guests to enjoy this beautiful space.

In the evening enjoy the Fire Pit at the bottom of the property and we simply ask that you make sure the Fire is extinguished fully after each use.

The Lower Studio Suite is well appointed with modern accents and comfort in mind.

The Lower Studio Suite is a cozy and intimate space while still affording all the comforts of home. There is a Queen Bed with a Pillowtop mattress and a Twin Day Bed which is located in the TV Nook Area where you can read, watch a movie, take a nap or provide an additional sleeping space if needed. There are two new Lazy-boy Swivel Rocking chairs to enjoy. We provide upscale bedding and additional cozy blankets to make your stay particularly enjoyable. The Lower Studio Suite has Heat/AC, Smart TV/Direct TV, WIFI, Books and an assortment of games.

The Kitchenette is fully outfitted. There is an island which can be used for food prep as well as seating for two indoors. You can take your meals outside on to the Patio which has additional seating and overlooks the newly installed terraced gardens and a water view of Fishing Bay! There are basic cooking supplies which you are welcome to use.

There is 1 Full Bathroom with Walk-In Shower. We provide high quality plush towels, artisan soap and bath salts. There is a (shared) Full-Size Washer/Dryer which is located at the top of the Stairwell.

The cottage has a Southerly facing Patio with an Ocean View where you can enjoy the lovely view and abundant wildlife. There is a patio set for outdoor dining and a Propane BBQ for your cooking pleasure.

The newly installed Gardens are breathtaking and we have strategically created multiple relaxation spaces for our guests to enjoy. In the evening enjoy the Fire-Pit at the bottom of the property and we simply ask that you make sure the Fire is extinguished fully after each use.

Of any rental I've ever stayed in, I greatly appreciated all of the additional amenities, kitchen items, toiletries, etc. that the host included. The only few things I would recommend adding are a full length mirror and a pair of scissors, but that's being really picky :) Otherwise, the space for 2 people was perfect, bed was comfortable, and the view/scenery was just lovely, and it's a great location in town."

The home and location was very quiet which we appreciated having two little children. Our one year old managed to find a dog toy and some dog food and loved playing in the cupboards. The house does over some basic kitchen utensils (silverware, plates, bowls, pots, and pans (could use some measuring cups)) as well as some dry pantry items (spices, oil, coffee (whole bean and ground (nice touch!))) Fun amenities like the hot tube and fire pit were nice to have especially after the kids went down. Lack of signage made getting to the public beach access a little intimidating (felt like we were walking on someone’s driveway to get there)"

- "We loved staying here because it is adjacent to coffee shops, restaurants, shopping and grocery store. It is located at the north end of Eastsound in a group of identical cottages. Very quiet and relaxing. Only 10 minute drive to Moran State Park. Easy access to Eastsound water front and Crescent Beach and there is also a 1 mile walking path to North Beach. The cottage was perfect for a family of 3 to 4. Very clean and charming! Second bedroom has two beds in an upstairs loft. Kitchen has all amenities and there is also a washer and dryer for clothes. The only bathroom is accessed through the master bedroom. Overall, it worked great for us as we spent the days exploring the island and came back late afternoon to relax and walk around town. Would definitely stay here again."

Our cottage kitchen is the shining example of how to blend efficiency and functionality. Featuring a full-sized electric Avanti stovetop and oven with a microwave mounted above, and a large stainless steel, modern sink, you can effortlessly make any meal. We've hosted guests for Thanksgiving that boasted how they did a full course meal with ease!
You’ll find plenty of kitchen gadgets, including a blender, hand mixer, cookware, and bakeware to create your favorite meals. Enjoy our coffee bar stocked with Pete's coffee, teas, stevia, sugar, and creamer, along with both a drip coffeemaker and French press, and a coffee grinder. We even have spices and oil in the cabinets! Plus, there’s a full-sized refrigerator with a freezer, and a stackable Blomberg washer and dryer—just note that there’s no dishwasher, so hand washing is required.

In the living room, relax on the comfy loveseat or swivel chair while enjoying views through the French doors to the deck and water beyond. The Master Bathroom has a walk-in shower and soaking Tub. En-suite is a small dry sauna room, the perfect way to relax your muscles after a day of hiking or exploring.

The Master Bedroom features a queen bed, flanked by leather armchairs and ottomans. A small study off the master bedroom is the perfect place to curl up with a book or watch the wildlife in the pond. The study has a large sleeper chair that folds out into a single bed.

In front of the cottage, across Crescent Beach road is Orcas’ most notable walking beach – the long and gorgeous Crescent Beach: Wade in the tides, beachcomb, rent kayaks, build driftwood sculptures and wiggle your toes in the sand.

Behind the cottage, is a serene bird-watching paradise, with views across a large pond and wetland with all manner of waterbirds, including Blue Herons, Red-Winged Blackbirds, Kingfishers, ducks, and occasionally eagles. The rear patio provides a magical place to grill on the propane BBQ or sit and watch the teeming bird life around the pond.

This well-built bungalow-style cottage overlooks Cascade Bay, offer a light, bright retreat from which to view the marina and gaze down the sound. The living quarters are on the upper level, featuring high-end wood floors throughout, a well-stocked full kitchen, spacious living area, and master bedroom with king-size bed. Your hosts have attempted to stock the kitchen with whatever you need to eat-in if desired, and take advantage of the incredible covered deck overlooking the bay. Or take advantage of the plumbed-in Weber grill on the deck.

Underneath the deck, also looking over the bay is a small Hotspring Spa that is available to guests.

The home is outfitted with high speed internet, Smart Roku TVs (just plug in the streaming service of your choice), including a 55" high definition TV upstairs and a 65" big screen TV downstairs.

The lower level of the home is a finished/converted garage. It is carpeted, offers a queen-sized bed, couch and big screen 65" TV. There is also another 4-person dining table, full bathroom with shower, and a full-sized refrigerator for extra food/beverage storage. Please note: The downstairs is NOT heated. In the summer, this is rarely an issue, and it could theoretically be used in the winter as well, since it is always warmer than outside, but if you are renting in a cooler season, or have any questions about using the downstairs area, please contact us! It's a great extra space to utilize, but it can get a little chilly in the winter.

Our plan was to work from the cottage during the day and enjoy Eastsound and the rest of the Island during the evenings and weekends. Our worries coming in were whether the place would be big enough, and whether the internet service would support our meeting schedules. This place surpassed our expectations on both fronts. Moreover, it was extremely clean and had a great-sized kitchen that allowed us to mix in a few home-cooked meals with our visits to local restaurants. Also there's a nice big yard that we used for throwing a frisbee around. Would highly recommend for families!"

There are several rentals on the property but the cottages have complete privacy. It's a bit of a walk down to the beach but well worth the visit as there is an unobstructed view of Mt Baker and a gorgeous little cove. Orcas is a gem and has so much to offer: Mt Constitution views (best in the Northwest) and Moran State park, the Artist's Cooperative Gallery, Kayaking, great food and a winery. We are anxious to return and would recommend Cypress Cottage."

Permit #02PROV004 -Plum Tree Cottage is a welcoming Cape Cod style home. It has three bedrooms, three baths (a total of about 2000 square feet), and easy access to our private beach. The house is furnished with comfort in mind.
The downstairs has a full kitchen, a large living/dining room with hardwood floors and a gas fireplace. The first floor bedroom has a queen bed and an adjoining bath. The two upstairs bedrooms have king beds, dormered alcoves, and each has a private full bath.
There are outside decks on three sides of the house with provisions for outside dining. There is TV, DVD and radio, as well as a washer/dryer and dishwasher. The Plum Tree Cottage is ideal for family groups or 2 couples to share (maximum occupancy seven people).

West Beach Cottage is a storybook tale of island living when the telephone line was shared by all island residents and boating to town was common. Yet with the extensive updating of all the rooms and house amenities, you can enjoy the ambiance of old island living with the comforts of todays technology.

Living Room
Our home offers a wood fireplace, plus the efficiency of a heat pump for both heating and air conditioning throughout the home. With the hand-built rock and doug fir mantle, you can imagine the stories told around the fireplace for the past 85 years. One family owned this beachfront farm from 1940 until 2017, when the current owners lovingly took on the care of this amazing home. Its now blessed with both modern amenities like a Smart TV and WIFI, plus a piano and full library of books to enjoy.

Dining
There are two new William-Sonoma dining tables to choose from. In the kitchen, there is seating for eight for breakfast and meal prep time. In the dining room, there is seating for eight to ten guests. Both rooms enjoy oversized windows with views to the water and old-growth trees. Outside there is a dining table for meals alfresco. The simple, white china and table cloth options create a refined yet casual table setting for any occasion.

Kitchen
New stainless steel appliances and a fully equipped kitchen makes cooking at home a pleasure. The large country kitchen has vintage cabinets refinished with a beautiful selection of dinnerware, serve ware, and glasssware for every day and happy hour. Our large William-Sonoma table and chairs add to the charm with contemporary touches throughout. Our dedicated coffee bar proves to be popular each morning with a selection of teas, beans and sweeteners.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms
The primary bedroom, The Waterview, provides a peaceful sanctuary for rest and relaxation, while the additional bedrooms offer plenty of space for family and guests. Each room offers a reading chair, luxury linens and throws, and amazing views. The upstairs bedrooms share an extraordinary bathroom with a custom walk-in shower, double vanity and separate soaker tub.
Need to shower quickly? Head downstairs for the second full bathroom with a custom-tiled shower, towels and amenities for extra space. We have two large water heaters to keep up with all your water use!
The downstairs fourth bedroom, The Green Room, has an ensuite bathroom with a shower and vanity, walk-in closet and writers desk. With easy accessibility, this bedroom is a guest favorite!

Outdoor Living
The custom cedar deck expands your living space to include a comfy lounge and firepit, a dining area and BBQ. Plus there is an infinity deck with chaise lounges for cooling down after soaking in the hot tub. With privacy and towering trees above, you'll hear the eagles whistling in the trees and be able to spot seal bobbing in the waters below. The deck is an amazing extension that is just outside the cottage yet brings you directly in touch with the natural world around you. With outdoor lighting in the hot tub area and dining space, you'll be able to enjoy your time well into the evening.

The Beach
One of the greatest features of this property is the sandy, private beach below. You have a section of beach for your exclusive use. Head down the trail, and you'll find a remote paradise for strolling, shell collecting, and watercraft. Bring your paddleboard and kayak to explore the shoreline. We provide beach chairs that can be tied up below for your convenience, and beach towels for your use. Though its hard to see, there are neighbors up and down the beach that also stroll by. Say hi, and please respect their section of beach and privacy. You can linger and play all you want on your piece of this sandy heaven.

Buckhorn Farm Bungalow is located on ten-acres near the north shore of Orcas Island. This family vacation cottage enjoys a wonderful country-farm atmosphere but is only a 5 minute drive from the village of Eastsound, our island's version of “downtown.”

Guests can easily walk or ride bicycles along level roads to restaurants, shops or to the nearby semi-private beach to enjoy beach strolls, tide-pooling and spectacular views from Mt. Baker to Vancouver Island.

The little town of Eastsound offers lots of gift shopping and restaurants and the outer areas offer trails for hiking, kayaks, whale watching tours, bike riding, and music in the park on Sunday evenings. The host has two friendly dogs who generally stay away but are open for a visit if asked.

The Garden House is a lovely living space located above an artist studio on 6 waterfront acres. Light-filled, with cathedral ceilings and dormers, the Garden House has a combined kitchen and sitting room with hide-a-bed, a private bedroom, and a bathroom with shower.

The space
The Garden House is maintained with an intention to minimize toxicity in operations: it is kept dander free, laundry soaps are organic and odor-free, sheets are 100% cotton (mostly flannel). Seasonal flowers in the garden are available for guest-picked bouquets. The pottery studio is available for tours, conversation and hands-on clay exploration. There is an extensive and eclectic library. The intentional absence of a flat screen encourages guests to explore non-digital experiences. Please read the house manual and "the neighborhood" (see below) for helpful information.

Guest access
A short scenic stroll brings guests to a private secluded rocky beach. The Garden House is located near the Hot Ice Studio, which produces unique crystal glazed pottery (noise or interference won't be a problem, we promise!) We are a short walk from a little-used, yet very lovely, part of Moran State Park and its east Boundary Trail.

The Garden House on Orcas has been operational since 1992; you can easily find more information online if you are curious. See photos for a small sample of guest comments. The Garden House has earned continuous super host status since it began working with airbnb in 2015.

Other things to note
The Garden House has one private bedroom; for parties that need an additional sleeping space, there is a hide-a-bed in the combined kitchen/living room. A small futon is also available. If your party composition requires more than one bed, please ensure that the bedding options are acceptable for all your guests.

Reservation requests that are received by text or email after 8pm Pacific Time will likely be responded the next day.

Freshness and high quality are values honored at the Garden House. We encourage you to bring, along with your food, your favorite coffee, tea or other beverages in order to ensure that you savor your personally curated preferences. If you arrive without coffee or tea, and want/need these, please ask!

A 220v EV charging station is located in the Garden House parking area. A converter to allow Tesla vehicle charging is available. Seventy plus year old house right on beach with magnificent view from house and decks over layered islands. Come when the moon is full and fall in love all over again.

The space
This old beach cottage has had a lot of improvements, but has plenty of funk left.

You drive around the island seventeen beautiful miles to get here and find a fully equipped kitchen and dining room (no dishwasher), two beds (one queen in the common room for the view and one in a small bedroom. You'll have a wood stove with a glass door (as well as electric heat) for winter coziness. There is a (shower only) bath that you can enter from the bedroom or the front hall. Big, beautiful decks for eating or just hanging out, low bank beach just steps away where you can launch your kayak or canoe. Quiet neighborhood and all that Orcas Island has to offer: parks, restaurants, cultural events, sailing, hiking, bicycling, swimming, fishing, whale watching.

Two night minimum in winter, three night minimum in summer. We have a three night minimum for summer months and for holidays and three day week ends. In 2019, we will have a four night minimum for a booking that includes July 4 week. Returnees get a discounted rate.

We've been using this house as a vacation rental for almost twenty years, staying here ourselves only occasionally for a week or three, but each time there is a full moon, we get a little envious of our guests. It's just a lovely spot to stay in for a while.

The home is a 7 minute drive from Olga proper, where you can dine at Catkin Cafe or have an adventure at the state park. There are plenty of beaches along the island at Doe Bay or Obstruction Pass Trailhead. There is a free dock and boat launch a mile away from this home.

This Short Term Rental Agreement (the “Agreement”) is made by and between Alexa and Charles Meissner (“Homeowner”) and ________________________________ (“Guest”) as of the date last set forth on the signature page of this Agreement. For good and valuable consideration, the sufficiency of which is acknowledged, the parties hereby agree as follows:
1. Property: This property is located at: 661 Buckhorn Rd., Eastsound, Wa. 98245.
The property is furnished and includes: kitchen pantry items, kettle, microwave/convection oven, toaster, cook- and bakeware, blender, iron, dishes, glassware, flatware, hammock, bath towels, spa towels, bed linens, hair dryer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, BBQ, indoor propane stove, kayaks, smart tv, Wi-Fi, hot tub.
The property has central heat throughout the home.
2. Rental Party: The rental party shall consist of Guest and the following persons, (We require at least 2 cell phone numbers of guests in case of emergency. If fewer than 7 guests, type “N/A” into the additional fields):

3. Maximum Occupancy: The maximum number of guests is limited to 7 persons (excluding children under 3 years old) and is strictly enforced. If a violation of this rule occurs, an additional charge of $500 per extra person per night will be assessed and all guests will be asked to vacate premises and will forfeit any rental fees and deposits.
4. Terms of the Lease: The lease begins at 4pm on _______________________ (the “Check-in date”) and ends at 11am_____________ _____ (the “Check-out date”).
a. The house is located in a rural area. In such a setting, one may find local wildlife. Please keep doors (screen, wood, or glass) closed when you are not in the house to keep wildlife outside.
b. Guest acknowledges and understands that the property also has neighbors. Guest agrees not to disturb the peace and enjoyment of neighbors and their guests. Quiet hours should be observed between 10pm and 8:00 am. This includes but is not limited to excessive noise and/or music, as well as offensive language and/or behavior.
c. Driveway speed limit is 5 mph.
d. Outdoor Amplified sound is prohibited at all times.
e. Smoking of any kind is NOT allowed in the house or on the property.
f. There is a propane BBQ and firepit that may be used. There are no campfires allowed on the property due to the high fire danger.

g. People other than those in the Guest party set forth above may not stay overnight on the property. Any other person on the property is the sole responsibility of the Guest. If additional people visit during day and evening hours, there must not be more than 7 people.


h. The Homeowners and Property Manager are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illnesses that occur while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners and Property Managers are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises and equipment or others whom they invite to use the premises.
a. Keep the property and all furnishings in good order.
b. A maximum of 3 vehicles are permitted at the property.


m. Drinking Water: the water inside is monitored and tested by Washington Water Service Company and meets requirements set by Washington State.
m. Events/Parties: Property use is not permitted for special events. This includes but is not limited to special events, outdoor events, lawn parties, weddings or similar activities. Furthermore, it is strictly prohibited to host any type of event or party of any size at the property. If a violation of this rule occurs, an additional charge of $1,000 will be assessed and all guests will be asked to vacate premises and will forfeit any rental fees or deposits.
n. Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We do not permit any bath towels or linens to be taken from the premises.
6. Access: Guest shall allow Homeowner or owners’ agents or employees property access for yard and orchard maintenance. Workers may enter the property between 9am and 5pm daily for yard work or hot tub maintenance (Workers will not enter the dwelling unit.
7. Trash collection: Collected by San Juan Sanitation. Please place all trash in receptables by the car port.
8. Rental Rate and Fees
All rental fees including tax, cleaning fee, insurance fee and/or security deposit, pet fee, and nightly rental fee are due prior to check-in according to the payment requirements of the rental platform on which the reservation was made.
9. Pets. Pets are allowed with prior notice. If guests bring a pet without permission, a fee of $500.00 will be billed to the guest. A non-refundable pet fee of $100 is charged for a single pet, $50 for a second pet. 2 pets maximum.
10. Damage Deposit: If a damage deposit is made, it will be refunded in accordance with the service through which the reservation was made, provided no deductions are made due to:
i. Damage to the property or furnishings
ii. Dirt or other mess than requires excessive cleaning
iii. Any other cost incurred by the Homeowners due to the Guest’s stay beyond normal wear and tear.
If the premises appear dirty or damaged upon check-in, Guest shall inform the Property Manager immediately. If Guest fails to inform the Property Manager within 24 hours or check-in, Guest will be responsible for any damages and excessive cleaning charges left from prior to their stay.
11.Hot Tub Rules: Hot tub hours are from 8am – 10pm. No glass in or around the hot tub. Plastic cups are provided. The hot tub is cleaned and chemicals adjusted after each guest departs.
12 Cancellation Policy: If Guest wishes to cancel his/her reservation, all fees collected will be refunded as follows:
a) The host, Airbnb, and VRBO modify their cancellation policies from time to time. The policy in force at the time of the reservation will be the policy that will be honored if a guest should choose to cancel. If a guest has purchased trip insurance and can show proof of such purchase, and if the policy does NOT cover the entire cost of the reservation, then the host agrees to cover up to 100% of the uncovered portion of the nightly rate, but no more than 25% of the total nightly rate. If no trip insurance was purchased, no additional refund from the host will be paid.
b) If Airbnb applies its “Extenuating Circumstances” policy to the reservation, then neither a) nor b) will apply as the “Extenuating Circumstances” policy overrides all other cancellation policies.
c) We encourage all guests to purchase CFAR (cancel for any reason) trip insurance to protect the cost of their trip should they have to cancel. Generally, the most CFAR coverage available to purchase is 75% of the trip cost. The offer of a 25% refund of the nightly fee under the conditions specified above, gives the guest 100% coverage of the nightly fees for their reservation.
The parties agree to the terms of this Short Term Rental Agreement as evidenced by acknowledgement on the VRBO website or the Airbnb website and the signatures set forth below. Tenant acknowledges the inherent risks present at the property and in the use of all equipment, including the propane BBQ, firepit, hot tub, and other household devices.

Tenant assumes, and releases Alexa and Charles Meissner, (Homeowner) and Kristin Nimmo, Lawrence Bearg, Orcas 24-7, and the Lawrence P. Bearg Revocable Trust dated October 20, 2015, and any amendments thereto, Property Manager, from, all liability and responsibility of every kind, nature and description resulting from the use or misuse of the premises and any associated equipment, including the hot tub, or the rural area surrounding the premises.

Tenant holds Homeowners and Property Manager(s) harmless and releases Homeowners and Property Manager(s) from all liability in the event of any injury or death to any person arising from the Tenant’s use of the premises, the property, the dwelling, outdoor structures, its recreational equipment, (including outdoor recreational equipment such as the Kayaks, BBQ grill, hot tub, etc.).

The space
The cottage is simply but comfortably furnished. (Note: furnishings may not be exactly as pictured, as we sometimes replace or update items for improved guest comfort!). Fraser has three bedrooms: one with a queen bed, the other two feature two twin beds. A small, uncovered deck faces the ocean.

From the cottage, you can look out over the beach and enjoy sweeping ocean views to the north. The woodstove gives a cozy ambience on a chilly day, although electric baseboard heat is the primary heat source. We are intentional about not having wifi and TV and hope their absence will foster a peaceful and relaxing "unplugged" getaway. Cell coverage is usually adequate in the cabin but may be spotty.

The kitchen has a stove, fridge, microwave, coffee maker (with reusable filter) and electric kettle. It is stocked with basic cookware and dishes but has no food nor condiments. A well supplied grocery store is only 2 miles away.

There is one full bathroom with a shower. We provide liquid castile soap for body and hair, tissues and toilet paper. Please bring your own toiletries, hair dryer, etc.

All linens needed for your stay are provided. Extra towels, etc. are available on request at the office. Thank you for not using your house towels on the beach; please bring your own beach towels.

A Weber charcoal BBQ is provided; you'll need to bring or buy lighter fluid and briquettes. Free firewood is available on a "help yourself" basis from the woodshed. Please enjoy beach fires; just make sure you build them on the beach gravel, below the high tide mark, and never burn driftwood. This is an updated, two story, family size cottage with tons of character. It is timber framed so it has the warm feeling of a log home. It has the perfect mix of new and semi-rustic features which makes it very unique. A true ONE OF A KIND, ISLAND HOME!

The 1st floor boasts a beautiful gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances, original rustic farmhouse pine plank floors in the kitchen, nice big dining room table with built-in bench, travertine tiled bath w/ shower, very large bedroom with California King bed and sitting area, living room with sectional sofa and 55in. flat screen Amazon fire smart TV (recently added),freestanding propane stoves (living room and dining room), washer and dryer.

The 2nd floor boasts, 1 large bedroom with a queen size bed, 1 large bedroom with 1- Queen bed and 1- twin bed with trundle that can pop up and make a king bed. Tiled bathroom with full bath.

While staying here you'll enjoy all the modern amenities like, high speed WiFi internet, satellite dish network TV...but without the hustle and bustle of the city. The Cottage looks across Driftwood Ranch, Mt Constitution, Mt Woolard, Sunset Mountain. Spend a lazy morning watching the sun peek over Constitution. Listen for song birds, Canadian geese, wild ducks, eagles and sounds of grazing cattle. The valley is home for a Leucistic Red Tailed Hawk seen perched in tree line of field. If you're lucky to visit during calving, you will welcome a new calf to the valley. A collection of eclectic finds, cozy furniture create space to forget the mainland pace.

The space
The kitchen is located in the original log cabin. It’s vibe created with the care and artistry of a few local craftsman and Teri’s love of cooking and entertaining. The patina of local Island Douglas Fir shows up in the flooring, cabinetry and trim finishes showcasing this local renewable resource.

Both bathrooms have been finished with detail in mind. Heated floors, organic bath towels, stacked washer/dryer, hand and bath soaps from local artisans. Here you will also see a new life for up-cycled rebar, dresser, mirror frame, Doug fir trim and the love from the local tile setter, whose skill can be seen in the entryway as well.

Private Deck and Fire Pit- Enjoy your morning watching the sunrise over Mount Constitution light up the valley. The birds will welcome the day and the cows will begin to munch away the dew on the field. If you are lucky to have a visit during calving time, you will witness one of mother nature’s farm experiences and welcome a new calf to the valley. A place for dining on the deck, or rocking away the hours with a good book or a pair of binoculars. The valley has been the home for a Leucistic Red Tailed Hawk, who may do a fly-by or can be seen perched along the tree line on the east side of the field. The fire pit was constructed with recycled materials and sits at the fields edge. Many a story have been shared around this circle.

"Hillcrest" is a charming and very private light filled cottage ideally located on a hill above the Orcas Ferry Landing.The grounds include a large organic garden and orchard and plenty of grassy strolling areas and woods of fir and madrone to enjoy .After a fun day exploring, watch sunsets on the southwest facing deck that feels like you are up in the treetops or relax inside with a good book or your favorite Netflix program. There are also books, games, puzzles ,DVD's and CD's provided.

The space
Our cottage sets the scene for a very private and peaceful island experience in a natural setting. It is very well suited for couples or a small family. The parking area and guest studio are at ground level and the main living space is on the second floor up two short flights of stairs. There you will find a master bedroom with a queen size bed and ensuite bathroom with shower. A door opens from the master bedroom directly onto the expansive southwest facing deck. There is also a full kitchen, living room and dining area with an open floor plan and plenty of comfy places to sit. There is a wood stove (wood provided) and a door that opens onto the deck from the living room as well as a second 3/4 bathroom with shower off the main hallway.
The ground floor has a guest studio with a separate entrance and boasts a full bathroom with tub/shower combo as well as a queen sized bed, kitchenette, comfy chair, wood stove and a small dining area.
Our cottage is a San Juan County permitted vacation rental.
If you plan on visiting Orcas in a vehicle on the Washington State Ferries we strongly recommend making reservations for arriving and returning as soon as you can after booking. This is very easy and convenient to do online or by phone. The Washington State Ferry reservation page online explains the system. You can email me if you still have questions.

Featuring a full-sized electric Avanti stovetop and oven with a microwave mounted above, and a large stainless steel, modern sink, you can effortlessly make any meal. We've hosted guests for Thanksgiving that boasted how they did a full course meal with ease!
You’ll find plenty of kitchen gadgets, including a blender, hand mixer, cookware, and bakeware to create your favorite meals. Enjoy our coffee bar stocked with Pete's coffee, teas, stevia, sugar, and creamer, along with both a drip coffeemaker and French press, and a coffee grinder. We even have spices and oil in the cabinets! Plus, there’s a full-sized refrigerator with a freezer, and a stackable Blomberg washer and dryer—just note that there’s no dishwasher, so hand washing is required.

In the living room, relax on the comfy loveseat or swivel chair while enjoying views through the French doors to the deck and water beyond. FoxGlove Cottage is nestled into the shoreline of Deer Harbor on Orcas Island. You will enjoy coffee or wine on the back deck with one of the most epic views this island offers. We are pet friendly with pre approval. You are able to fly into Deer Harbor on Kenmore Air or use the Washington State Ferry System.

The space
This lovely small cottage sits right above the water. The deck provides viewing of Deer Harbor. In the backyard you will find the ocean and beach steps away from the deck. The steps lead directly to our private beach that’s ever changing with the tides.

Both beds at Foxglove have queen size hybrid mattresses made of high density memory foam and independent spring support. They are very comfy mattresses that absorb noise and vibration caused by turning over during sleep as well as enhanced air circulation that prevents trapped heat for a cool and comfortable sleep.

Guests have access to Foxglove Cottage, two dedicated parking spaces, the backyard, and private beach. We are walking distance to Deer Harbor Marina, whale watching charter boats and kyack tours.

Other things to note
There is a small laundromat (we provide a tokens for one load) at deer harbor within walking distance. The marina also has ice, snacks, wine, and some ready to eat options as well. There are two restaurants in Deer Harbor. Island Pie and Matthew’s Smokehouse both have GF options and great food.

The space
With a National Wildlife Refuge less than a mile offshore, sea life is abundant. Watch seals, sea lions, otters, shorebirds, bald eagles and even whales from the attached, private deck and outdoor spa.

Mount Constitution is just a short 15-minute drive, and offers many different hiking trails to a variety of lakes, waterfalls and scenic overlooks, or the opportunity to take a relaxed drive to the mountaintop to take in the breathtaking scenery.

Just a bit farther down the road is the quaint town of Eastsound, populated with island arts and crafts stores, unique dining opportunities, movies and more. Visits to neighboring San Juan islands are accommodated by the island ferry boats, which can be accessed via a picturesque 40-minute drive around this horseshoe-shaped island.

Two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and one with a full size bed, plus an extra-long window seat in the living room mean that Seacliff Cottage can comfortably accommodate up to five people. Each bedroom (including the window seat) is wrapped in windows, allowing guests to ‘breathe in’ the awe-inspiring surroundings from dawn to dusk.

We recently installed a very simple to use, great sounding Sonos music system serving every room of the house including the deck! Simply download the Sonos S1 app to your phone and choose “connect to an existing system”.

We have also added two GermGuardian UV sterilization air filters, one in the Master Bedroom and one in the Kitchen/Dining Room.

Guests have access to the entire of the house with the exception of the locked storage/mechanical room in the lower level closet.

Other things to note
Seacliff is an ideal place for an intimate, tranquil escape for a couple or perhaps 3-4 close friends. It is not suitable for larger groups, even for a brief visit; the cottage is simply too small. As the cottage is perched on a very steep cliff, children are NOT allowed and we strongly advise our guests exercise extreme caution. The private/community beach is perfect for putting in your kayak or just relaxing by the water. We do not participate in the dock maintenance and, accordingly, do not have access to the dock.

This home lies at the northernmost edge of Orcas Island, less than 1 mile from the shops, parks, tennis courts and pickleball courts, and restaurants of downtown Eastsound as well as Island Hoppin' brewery and Orcas Island winery. Brandt's Landing marina, whale watching tours, Cascade Lake, Moran State Park are also nearby!

Although there is no beach access directly at the house due to winter storm erosion, easy beach access for everyone (adults and kids) is a quick stroll down the street. Plus, it's an ideal place to launch your kayak.

If you'd prefer to spend some time at home, don't worry - this Orcas Beach Cottage has everything you need for an amazing time. Whether you're outside by the grill, lounging on a beach chair by the outdoor gas firepit, or simply gazing out from a window, you'll be greeted with breathtaking views of the sea.

Inside, you'll love the home's rustic atmosphere while you catch up on a good mystery novel or watch a good movie on the flatscreen TV. Savor a nice glass of wine out on the furnished deck with bay views to Canada, then come inside to warm up next to the wood-burning fireplace. The group chef will find everything they need to create tonight's home-cooked masterpiece in the full kitchen. After a long and rejuvenating hike, enjoy a good soak in the private covered hot tub.

Grab your binoculars for a whale sighting and pick up some burgers to cook on the propane grill to fully enjoy your Eastsound vacation.

This cabin is steps from the water and just a short walk to Point Thompson. Downtown Eastsound is a short drive, where you can find great local fare at Wild Island Restaurant. There are plenty of beaches to explore on the island, with lots of wildlife to check out at Moran State Park.

Welcome to your dream island retreat! 🌲 Located on West Beach, our cottage offers an enchanting blend of comfort, vintage and natural beauty on picturesque Orcas Island.

Thoughtfully designed and renovated, our 1940's historic home features four bedrooms and three full bathrooms. The open living area invites the outdoors in with large windows, wood fireplace, piano and games for unplugged experiences. The outdoor deck includes a firepit lounge, hot tub and trail to the amazing beach below.

The space
West Beach Cottage is a storybook tale of island living when the telephone line was shared by all island residents and boating to town was common. Yet with the extensive updating of all the rooms and house amenities, you can enjoy the ambiance of old island living with the comforts of todays technology.

Living Room
Our home offers a wood fireplace, plus the efficiency of a heat pump for both heating and air conditioning throughout the home. With the hand-built rock and doug fir mantle, you can imagine the stories told around the fireplace for the past 85 years. One family owned this beachfront farm from 1940 until 2017, when the current owners lovingly took on the care of this amazing home. Its now blessed with both modern amenities like a Smart TV and WIFI, plus a piano and full library of books to enjoy.

Dining
There are two new William-Sonoma dining tables to choose from. In the kitchen, there is seating for eight for breakfast and meal prep time. In the dining room, there is seating for eight to ten guests. Both rooms enjoy oversized windows with views to the water and old-growth trees. Outside there is a dining table for meals alfresco. The simple, white china and table cloth options create a refined yet casual table setting for any occasion.

Kitchen
New stainless steel appliances and a fully equipped kitchen makes cooking at home a pleasure. The large country kitchen has vintage cabinets refinished with a beautiful selection of dinnerware, serve ware, and glasssware for every day and happy hour. Our large William-Sonoma table and chairs add to the charm with contemporary touches throughout. Our dedicated coffee bar proves to be popular each morning with a selection of teas, beans and sweeteners.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms
The primary bedroom, The Waterview, provides a peaceful sanctuary for rest and relaxation, while the additional bedrooms offer plenty of space for family and guests. Each room offers a reading chair, luxury linens and throws, and amazing views. The upstairs bedrooms share an extraordinary bathroom with a custom walk-in shower, double vanity and separate soaker tub.
Need to shower quickly? Head downstairs for the second full bathroom with a custom-tiled shower, towels and amenities for extra space. We have two large water heaters to keep up with all your water use!
The downstairs fourth bedroom, The Green Room, has an ensuite bathroom with a shower and vanity, walk-in closet and writers desk. With easy accessibility, this bedroom is a guest favorite!

Outdoor Living
The custom cedar deck expands your living space to include a comfy lounge and firepit, a dining area and BBQ. Plus there is an infinity deck with chaise lounges for cooling down after soaking in the hot tub. With privacy and towering trees above, you'll hear the eagles whistling in the trees and be able to spot seal bobbing in the waters below. The deck is an amazing extension that is just outside the cottage yet brings you directly in touch with the natural world around you. With outdoor lighting in the hot tub area and dining space, you'll be able to enjoy your time well into the evening.

The Beach
One of the greatest features of this property is the sandy, private beach below. You have a section of beach for your exclusive use. Head down the trail, and you'll find a remote paradise for strolling, shell collecting, and watercraft. Bring your paddleboard and kayak to explore the shoreline. We provide beach chairs that can be tied up below for your convenience, and beach towels for your use. Though its hard to see, there are neighbors up and down the beach that also stroll by. Say hi, and please respect their section of beach and privacy. You can linger and play all you want on your piece of this sandy heaven.

*We allow one or two pets only. Ple ase do not request to bring more than two dogs.

*All dogs must be on a leash when on the beach and walking in the neighborhood
*Guests must pickup and dispose of "dog bombs" in the yard
*No dogs are allowed on the furniture, including the bedrooms, throw blankets and bed linens!
*No dogs are allowed in the Green Bedroom with white rug, or any of the bathrooms.
*Never leave your dog(s) alone in the house or dog kennel. You must bring your dog along with you when exploring the island and dining out.
*Please teach your dog to use the dog door and kennel for night time use, or please crate your dog overnight and as needed.
*Please bring your dogs blankets and bed, and toys so he/she feels more relaxed. We have dog bowls, extra towels for feet cleaning, and some toys.
*Please use the water hose out by the hot tub to wash off sandy feet, including your dog

You'll find many books throughout the house, plus games. We are happy to share the many books, and ask that you please do not take any of them with you. This is not a "trading" collection, but the personal books of the owners. Please enjoy and put back after you're done. Thanks!
