- "The most wonderful place in all the Isles. " - "The property is huge and many options, cabins, glamping tents, rv, and tent camping. There is a general store, the rooms come furnished with dishes, pans, glassware and flatware. There is a stove/oven, refrig, micro and coffee maker." - "Great views from the picture windows and porch of our waterfront cabin. The included bundle of firewood was a plus. The only negative was not being able to use the hot tub right upon opening time at 9:30 am which cut enjoyment of that feature down a lot. My boyfriend is a huge hot tub lover and we had to hurry to check out by 11:00am. The beds, linens and pillows were all really nice! Overall the property is just what it reports and I would likely book here again. "

Escape to the San Juan Islands in this peaceful waterfront cabin on Orcas Island’s North Shore.
With an open layout and floor-to-ceiling windows, you’ll enjoy serene views of the Salish Sea and the mountains beyond whether you’re relaxing in the living room or soaking up the sun on the wrap-around deck.
Our relaxing getaway cabin features two bedrooms and a large loft, full kitchen and bath, boho-vintage touches, wood stove, electric heat, dining table for six, flat screen TV, and plenty of books and games. Outside, the large deck with BBQ is the perfect place to unwind and drink in one of our spectacular North Shore sunsets.
The two bedrooms feature queen sized beds and the high-ceilinged loft has a king sized bed. It was clean, updated, and in a beautiful location where you can see the ocean through the trees. The hosts provided a lot of great information about the island. We saw some deer grazing one morning which was awesome. We were vacationing in the PNW for 2 weeks and we both said we wished we had spent more of our vacation on Orcas in this great place. Stuga is Swedish for cottage and refers to the many summer cabins that dot Sweden's coastlines, forests and islands and serve as a holiday escape, often hosting their families for celebrations throughout the year.
The word stuga also conjures up lots of evocative feelings for Swedes. These are typically places of peace, comfort, and mysig-ness or coziness, much closer to nature than the city.
We hope our Little Stuga provides the comfort and peacefulness you seek on Orcas Island and in our small hamlet of Olga.
Due to the time needed to adequately clean the property, we are not able to offer early check-in or late check-out. Please book an extra night if you would like to guarantee an early check- in or a late check- out.

- "Perfect for overflow from The Stuga. Delightful little cottage with the sweetest window twin bed in the upstairs. Would not recommend the Little Stuga for anyone with steep stair aversions. Perfect hosts. Perfect weekend." - "The Stuga was a wonderful retreat just a short drive from downtown Orcas through Moran State Park. It's perfectly situated with views of gorgeous sunsets and natural light streaming in from each window (Which made for some fun pics!). We enjoyed the charm of the original features of the house paired with the modern touches. Overall the Stuga was a cozy home away from home for a girls weekend!"

Cedar Sunrise is a modern house that speaks to nature lovers with an appreciation for art and design. Created by award-winning architect Geoff Prentiss, Cedar Sunrise highlights the island’s distinct natural beauty while offering a modern, yet exceedingly comfortable, design.
Upon arrival, wind down the lighted, wooden steps to the secluded home. Open the door and absorb the warmth of the custom millwork and vaulted native fir ceilings. Appreciate the mosaic of artfully-designed windows scattered playfully throughout—each like its own picture postcard with views from every room, bringing the outside in. Enjoy the cozy, covered seating area on the large deck; which offers stunning views of the nearby sea and is the perfect place to soak up the dark, starlit San Juan night sky.
Take your perch in the Eagle’s Nest—this unique, private, loft queen bedroom boasts cathedral windows that offer the sense of being, like the birds, deep within the trees themselves, peering out to the sea. Open the room’s side windows to peek at the deer, take in the sounds of the forest and listen to the waves lapping on the pebble beach below. The main floor king bedroom is just what it needs to be—quaint, intimate and surrounded by windows and trees.
On the main floor a well-appointed cook’s kitchen awaits. Fire up the Viking range to prepare fresh clam linguini from Buck Bay Shellfish and toss a salad with island-grown produce from the Maple Rock Farm Stand. Enjoy your feast in the spacious dining room or open up the French doors to eat al fresco with a view to the water. An outdoor grill is also available.
Spend your time curled up on the couch while you relax with a book or listen to your favorite music on the Sonos sound system. Wander down the path to relax on the hammock overlooking the water and take a rejuvenating nap. Or, head upstairs to the comfy loft for TV viewing with access to DirectTV or log into one of your streaming services. And if you need to work during your stay, you can count on reliable WIFI throughout.
Cedar Sunrise invites adventure by day and cozy nights year-round. Located just 20 minutes from the ferry landing by car and a leisurely 4-mile walk or bike ride into town, the quiet home feels private and remote, yet it’s incredibly convenient. Head to the charming village of Eastsound to peruse local shops and cafes or visit the food co-op or well stocked supermarket. Foodies delight in the island’s farmsteads and farm-to-table dining options like The Inn at Ship Bay and Matia. Seafood lovers swoon at the oyster shucking and crab cracking options at Buck Bay. And no trip to Orcas is complete without a stop at Brown Bear Bakery, offering the best chocolate croissants outside of France.
Up for fresh air and exercise? Take a day trip by bicycle or car through pastoral Crow Valley to Deer Harbor. Enjoy hiking Turtleback Mountain with amazing island vistas or try Moran State Park’s Summit trail to the top of Mt. Constitution (the last mile is sure to burn off those chocolate croissants). Pack a picnic and head to Moran’s Cascade Lake for a day of swimming and paddle-boarding. Guided kayaking treks and whale watching trips are also available through local outfitters.
However you choose to spend your time, savor each day at Cedar Sunrise—where nature, art and modern design combine for an incredible memory-making experience.

- "Beautiful home with amazing views of the sound and only a 5-10 minutes from Eastsound. Great indoor and outdoor spaces to relax." - "My wife and I had a lovely stay at this gorgeous well appointed house in the beautiful setting overlooking the bay south of Eastsound. We loved watching and listening to the birds from the deck. We loved everything about this home including the kitchen, bathrooms, and unique architectural design with so many windows taking advantage of the great views. We also used this home as a place from which to explore the entire island. - "We visited in the Dec. off-season and found a very comfortable, clean & airy cabin. The photos were accurate as well as the description. Great view of the Sound just 20' away. Made a good base for hikes on the island. Cabin rentals are a little pricey but the hot tub and proximity of a well-stocked resort store are 2 of the justifications."
