- "Amazing location, with a small trail that led to a cafe and a bar so we could stumble back to our room at the end of the night. It is also right off of Going to the Sun Road. This is a very small gripe and I still rate them as excellent, but I wish they had bigger towels or robes and a bigger TV. I wasn't going for the robes or TV though so all and all this was a great stay. " - "Considering the cabins are in a large RV park, it was pretty quiet. And made our stay in the Glacier NP park wonderful! I would recommend to all! "

The staff were very helpful and we loved being able to fish right outside our door!" - "We stayed at a different location every night. Paddle Ridge was hands down the best accommodations of the week. We had a party of 13 and all of us were sad that we were only staying there one night. We booked 3 cabins and all were superb. We had a late check in and staff called us to give us check in instructions and it was exactly like they said. Our cabin was so nice we thought there had been a mistake on what they had given us. I may make another trip to Glacier JUST to stay there again. "

- "The property was located near glacier national park! It was peaceful, quiet property! However you had to drive to Columbia falls or whitefish for food/dining or grocery which was atleast 30mins from the property! But overall I loved my stay! The staff was friendly and the room/bathroom were clean! " - "This was a great property and the staff was friendly and helpful. It was an easy and comfortable stay." - "Nice" - "Overall, it was a very nice property. Since it was after Labor Day, the hot breakfast wasn't available. I wasn't too enthusiastic about the brown bag breakfasts as fruit sticks aren't my thing or the cinnamon loafs. I did like the granolas, though."

- "This was indeed a cozy cabin conveniently located to the main attractions in West Glacier, the west entrance to GTSR, and Apgar for the village and shuttle. It was also a quick on/off of Highway 2. The shower pressure was great and beds were comfortable after long days of hiking. WiFi also worked well—a commodity in the area even though powering down was much needed. Overall a great stay and the one time I had a question for the host she was easily accessible."

This new 1110 sq foot log cabin sits in a perfect location. Out the back door is the Glacier View Golf Course and out the front door the Middle Fork of the Flathead River which offers excellent trout fishing. We are in West Glacier which provides the best access to all of the corners of Glacier National Park; including the famous "Going to the Sun Highway", the Alaska-like North Fork Road, and the backcountry roads into the Bob Marshall Wilderness.
After a busy day hiking, rafting, fishing, or exploring the Park you will love coming back to this cozy home. The cabin is constructed with solid blue pine logs and post and beam craftsmanship. In the great room, there is a cathedral ceiling and wood stove. A loft adds space for kids to play or watch television on the flat-screen TV. Granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and cherry cabinets in the kitchen provide a great setting for baking a huckleberry pie!
The elegant yet rustic interior has hardwood floors and reclaimed wood stairway. There is a Queen bedroom upstairs with half bath and a loft area with a full futon to sleep two more. Downstairs is a Queen bedroom with a full bathroom. There are a washer and dryer on the main floor, as well.
Relax on the timber frame covered front porch with a beverage after a long day of hiking or barbecue in the back yard.
There are a ukulele and a classical guitar (if the strings are still intact :))
There are MANY different activities in this area and as parents, hikers, bikers, fishermen and river runners we are happy to share our knowledge! Don't hesitate to contact us if the calendar is booked--we may have blocked dates for ourselves or friends.
Note: please feel free to ask questions or give us suggestions!
- "Literally minutes from the entrance to going to the sun road. This rental was spotless and absolutely beautiful. Better then we could have even imaged and at an extremely reasonable rate. My only complaint was the Wi-Fi was extremely slow/ I wasn’t able to do some work items. But the cafe around the corner had strong Wi-Fi so I was able to complete urgent work items like that." - "WE LOVED THIS PLACE! It is cozy and comfortable and a great place to come back to after an exhausting day in GNP. It is literally the best location you could ask for as far as proximity to GNP but also the little town of West Glacier for mini golf, rafting outfitter and grocery. The gas station is also a camp/gift shop and all this is 3 minutes away, but you don't know it because you feel like you are in the country. Also, this cabin has every amenity you need as well as a well stocked kitchen. We had a glitch in our trip, that was completely our fault and Mona was so communicative and offered our crazy family a little grace as well. I cannot recommend this place enough. We are 100% coming back--maybe next time without the kids! Thank you Mona for your part in making this our favorite vacation yet!"

This peaceful cabin is truly wonderful year round. In the warmer months, hike in Glacier National Park or the Badger, bike the iconic Going-to-the-Sun road and more, kayak in Two Medicine or other nearby lakes, or sip a glass of wine and watch the sunset over the mountains. In the winter months, cook and bake in the kitchen, do puzzles, take naps in the extremely comfy beds, go snowshoeing or cross-country skiing on the nearby trails, backcountry ski, head over to Whitefish for resort skiing, and enjoy the aurora borealis and star gazing. Come use our speedy Starlink wifi to work remotely for the week in a beautiful wonderland.
The cabin is about 1/4 mile off of Highway 2, accessed via a gravel road, and only 2 miles to East Glacier Park!
Living Room:
You enter the cabin into an open space with the living room on your left and kitchen on your right. The living room is very cozy with a pull-out couch (full size) and two lounge chairs, the perfect spot to watch for wildlife, admire the surrounding mountains, work on a puzzle, play music through the JBL speaker or read a book. We also provide yoga mats and a foam roller for a good stretch after a long day in the mountains.

Outdoor Space:
The property has a gorgeous 40 foot waterfall on it, accessible for viewing from above, or with a very steep walk down to the pool at its base. The outdoor space is shared with other guests as well, but you do you have your own private seating area by your cabin.

All sorts of wildlife have been seen from the windows, wildflowers abound in spring, and serviceberries can be picked right outside the door in late summer. Bears (we provide bear spray!), deer, coyotes, moose, fox and a diverse array of birds are abundant, making this a hiking and wildlife lover's paradise. The cabin is only 2 miles from the park as a crow flies, and just 3 from the nearest trailhead, and one of our favorite hikes. We are about 1 mile from East Glacier Park and its shops, restaurants, Amtrak station, and lodge, the gateway to the gorgeous and quiet Two Medicine region of the park (~25 minutes to the two medicine entrance). Take a 45 minute drive to Saint Mary to check out the east entrance of the renowned Going-To-The-Sun road. Or continue on another 30 minutes to the Many Glacier Hotel. **For travels during October-April, please be mindful that you are booking for a time when the weather can be seasonally unpredictable. We love this area for the great cross-country/backcountry skiing, snowshoeing and aurora borealis viewing. Please be aware that the temperature can drop below 0 and there can be very strong wind gusts in the area. The roads are plowed and maintained, however, if there is weather in the forecast, you are encouraged to have proper snow tires/chains/4WD to ensure safe travels.
Notes on seasonal animals/insects:
Bears are frequent visitors to the property. They are most active in early spring and late summer/fall, but they are seen on the property throughout the summer. Please be alert, keep all food and food containers/coolers inside, and carry bear spray. There are also wolf, moose, coyote, cow, and other wild animals that roam.
As far as insects go, spring is a popular time for mosquitos. Bring layers and bug spray. They mostly choose to hang out around dusk/dawn, so we try to stay inside during those times. August-September is prime moth season around here. Bears can eat up to ~20,000 per day, so we try to live with them rather than against them. They can sneak into the cabin occasionally, but they are harmless. September-October is black fly season.
If you have any questions, you are always welcome to reach out!
PARK INFO: A reminder that the ticketed entry system affecting the West Glacier entrance to the Going to the Sun Road and the North Fork area begins to release tickets 120 days in advance, beginning 02/13/25. This first release of tickets is valid for 06/13/25. The Two Medicine Valley and the St. Mary entrance to the Going to the Sun Road do not require a special vehicle pass. - "Perfect place to stay" - "We loved staying at this cozy cabin for our honeymoon! We so enjoyed the amazing mountain views from the windows and the fantastic location with easy access to Glacier National Park!! The host was extremely accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed for our 10 day stay." - ""5" just doesn't cut it. A "5" means it was exactly as you expected, as was promised. Devin's cabin has something way more - perfect touches everywhere! Beautifully built and furnished! Everywhere we turned, we were charmed by the choices made. And - it is a great location, right at the road cup to the East entrance of the Park. Finally, Devin and Jackie were so generous and helpful when we needed to get on line at EXACTLY 7:00 for Park reservations. Thank you so much!"

Now recently available for all seasons! Located less than a mile from the town of West Glacier and 1.5 mi from the entrance of the majestic Glacier National Park, this property features two separate cabins (price includes both cabins). Our largest, Moose Cabin, is a one-bedroom cabin, featuring a loft & queen pull-out couch. This newly built, modern cabin features a breath-taking view set on the bank of the middle fork of the Flathead River, hosting a virtual picture show of wildlife, making it a quiet, peaceful retreat. Our second cabin, the Elk Cabin, is smaller and features a small private bathroom and drapes to shut off sleeping area from other guests. Cabins are a stone's throw away from each other. There are pull-out sleeper sofas in each cabin and lofts in both. Moose - full bed in loft. Elk - twin in loft. Must be agile to sleep in loft area. These cabins are so special in that they offer so much to enjoy the outdoors and an unbelievable convenience (exception in the winter of course). Enjoy the wildlife, paddleboard, hike, watch the rafters go by, or be a rafter! Enjoy walking to breakfast, lunch, or dinner at the great restaurants in West Glacier. Excellent fishing off the bank of the property! Conveniently located 15 mi to Columbia Falls, 25 mi to Whitefish & 40 mi to Big Fork; you can explore the beauty of many popular Montana towns and fabulous restaurants. Moose Cabin offers A/C, full kitchen, BBQ, W/D, river & mountain view. Elk Cabin has kitchen, (no stove/oven), BBQ. These cabins offer a perfect place to enjoy God's beautiful creation: hike, reflect, study, or enjoy your family. (*Price includes both cabins. So sorry but we do not rent cabins separately.)
- "This was truly our snip of heaven in Glacier. We came for our honeymoon and it did not disappoint. Jodi was truly the best manager and communicator. She went above and beyond the call of duty to make our stay perfect. We can’t thank her enough!" - "The cabins were stocked with everything we could possible want. We also had a nice fireplace for smores and weiners.. we would definitely stay there again." - "After long days of hiking we loved coming back to enjoy the river & Mountain View’s at the cabin. So convenient to the park no matter where you want to hike. Everything we needed for a stay was provided by Jodi. Owner was very responsive with communication. We enjoyed eating at the highland restaurant about a mile from the cabin. Belton restaurant also had great food but you need a reservation for sure. Can’t say enough about the 2 cabins as they were perfect for us and another couple. We hope to be back to beautiful Montana!!"

- "We absolutely loved staying here. Location was unbeatable! Clean, secure, and accommodating. Highly recommend staying here for your Glacier trips." - "Just outside of the park entrance this was an amazing base camp for all Glacier activities. We were lucky enough to snag a going to the sun road pass however without one you might be in for added inconvenience going thru the park and have to rely on shuttle service." - ""Steps Away" is the perfect name for this cabin. It was the perfect location and a VERY short walk to the stores in West Glacier Village. The house was clean and a great set up for those with kids as there is a separate game room and a sitting area that gives them their own space to watch TV, play games, and just have fun, while the adults play cards/relax after after a long day of hiking. My son, who just days before was worried about this trip limiting his video game time, was begging to stay and move in to this cabin as our new home. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for the perfect spot to stay for their trip to Glacier."

- "My family LOVED our stay in this cute & cozy cabin! Everything was so clean and well-thought-out. We just showed up with a few groceries, and everything else we needed was on-hand. It's super convenient to the Two Medicine entrance of Glacier NP, and not a bad drive up to the St. Mary and Many Clacier entrances. Our one regret is that we were having so much fun in the park that we didn't get to relax in this cabin quite as much as we wanted to!"

- "Rising Wolf Ranch is not your average vacation destination. It is even better for those of us who like to stay off the beaten track yet close to a national Park and Montana wilderness. The property is exactly as billed . It is very simple as is the wonderful home-cooked food. We liked it so much that we rebooked in two years. It was a great family adventure. The hosts were very accommodating and opened their beautiful ranch and hearts to our family."

Step into a luxury barn-wood and turquoise-aspen paneled caboose named for James Jerome Hill, the empire builder behind the Great Northern Railway. These luxury accommodations echo the theme of Great Northern's sleeping cars while taking your comfort to another level. Sleeps up to 4 with queen size beds in the master bedroom and cupola. Appointed kitchen with lotus granite countertop, 4 burner gas stove, oven, refrigerator and microwave. Private bathroom with shower and heated floor.
The JJ caboose creatively blends wood, leather and stone to reflect Montana’s rich flora, fauna and landscape. Walls of turquoise aspen and rustic barn wood, accented with recycled chocolate leather, warmly envelope the soothing leather furnishings.
The bedroom is walled in spalted birch and barn wood, accented with recycled leather. The queen size bed has a denim duvet adorned with a Glacier Park Pendleton and Hudson Bay pillow shams, echoing the theme of Great Northern’s sleeping cars.
The kitchen boasts a full refrigerator, gas range, microwave and copper sink. Lotus granite countertops, glazed hickory cabinetry, and the blue pine eating bar compliment the rich wood interior.
The bathroom and shower are framed by walls of travertine stone accented with green rainforest marble tiles.
J.J.’s cupola has been converted to an upper bunk with a "full" bed, complete with a view of the railroad mainline. It's accessible by a built-in ladder with handrails. It’s finished in blue pine with the same walnut flooring as the rest of the caboose. A Pendleton blanket tops the full size bed. The kids will love sleeping on top of the world!
The barn wood throughout J.J. displays 12 different pieces of antique barbed wire from the late 1800s, when Montana became a state.
- "The caboose was very charming and clean. Too bad construction was still going on for the main Inn. " - "We very much enjoyed our stay in this cool and unique lodging. We were not aware until we arrived that this is part of a new resort—Loge—that is currently being renovated. This place will be even better once that is complete. The trains run close by, which is fun and romantic, but not overly noisy. The west entrance to Glacier is about 30 minutes from here, with it also being a good place to stay if you also want to visit the east side of Glacier. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and the kitchen was adequately set up for the basics. The host went above and beyond to help us with getting a memory card for our camera after we realized we forgot it, allowing us to still enjoy our day in the park instead of running errands."

The West entrance is 55 minutes away. Plus, we are only 75 minutes from the Glacier Intl Airport. The Canadian border is just shy of an hour away, making this a great place to stop on your way up to Banff or Calgary!

General Information:
We have very spotty cell phone reception on the property but we do have Starlink internet. Calls and texts can be made while connected to wifi. There is no TV in our cabin, we have found that our guests love to unplug and have an adventure! Fishing in the local area is tremendous, access to Glacier, the Lewis and Clark National Forest, and tribal lands is unparalleled from here- it is our ideal location.
We also have two other cabins on the property for rent that have terrific mountain views in case you have a larger party or event and are looking for a bit more space- ask us about booking more than one cabin!
I have been teaching yoga for about 10 years and love to offer private yoga classes or cacao ceremonies upon request. Please message me if you are interested and we can talk through details. Public yoga classes are held every Monday night at the Community Center from 5:15-6:15pm.
In-cabin massages can be arranged with enough heads up. Reach out for more information.
We offer different packages for special occasions (birthdays, anniversaries, elopements, holidays, etc). If you are interested, please reach out and we can chat more!

✔ Packages for special occasions
*Please note: although the listing states a maximum of four guests, the cabin can feel crowded with 4 adults.
Renovated and cozy little 60's cabin right across the river from Glacier National Park only a 24 miles to West Glacier and 35 miles to East Glacier Park. Perfect base camp for exploring either side of the park or just taking some time to relax in nature and away from it all.
The Issac Walton Hotel is just down the Highway and there are plenty of great hiking trails with scenic views nearby and away from the crowds.
Fast Wi Fi so you can make phone calls and work remotely if you need.
The space
We spent 3 months renovating the cabin in the fall of 2021 and turned it inside out. New floors throughout, new drywall, kitchen countertop/ sink/ faucet, new interior paint, upgraded electrical and tons of other odds and ends. Its such a great space to hang out in now. Board games are encouraged!
We have a large bedroom with a queen bed and a few pieces of furniture for storing all of your clothes.
The living room is cozy with a comfy couch that pulls out into a queen sleeper.
Kitchen is right off of the living room and completely new. Full size electric stove and full size fridge in the pantry. No dishwasher.
We have a screened in front porch where you are definitely going to want to enjoy your coffee. Its such a great spot and keeps the bugs away.
The only things which we did not renovate were the bathroom and the windows.
The bathroom is this cool little retro blast from the past - wallpaper and all - that is super clean so we left it for the time being.
The windows are these awesome 60's single pane windows but a handful of them have small hairline fractures in them with some clear tape to stabilize them. It's nothing structural, just a slight eye sore that is hardly noticeable.
Guest access
We do have pull down stairs to access the attic but we ask that you do not use them. Its just storage up there. The ground floor is all yours.
The shed on the property is locked and not accessible.

There will also be a small number of tickets released again, 24 hours prior.

Looking for a log cabin near Glacier? How about one on a lake in the forest? The Hike House was originally built as a lakeside refuge in the mountains of Glacier National Park. Three generations of love have expanded the one room cabin with bathrooms, bunkhouse, laundry room, gravel beach, and a complete kitchen. Lake Five offers boating, fishing, swimming; not to mention the sound of water lapping on the shore and the distant calling of the loons.
The lake and mountains are calling YOU!
The space
Our cabin is not a for-profit tourist accomodation. My dad fixed up this old Cabin 50 years ago as a private, family retreat. It is full of old furniture, books, curiosities, cookware, and some memorabilia. I am making it available to you on open weekends to share this wonderful refuge.
There are two buildings on the property. A newer, two storey bunkhouse has been built and serves as a comfortable place to sleep.
CONS:
1. The Amtrak Empire Builder as well as occasional freight runs along the north shore of Lake Five and will interupt your sleep on the screened porch. (Some find the whistle a haunting call of wilder times in the North Country)
2. House plumbing uses fresh lake water for the kitchen sink and bathrooms. It should not be used for cooking or drinking. Fresh bottled water is supplied.
3. We keep the cabin as clean as possible but it is an old Cabin after all.
4. The old rowboat leaks. Take a bailing bucket.
5. Cleaning and laundry costs a lot of money and isn't getting cheaper. We include this in the rental price. There will be no surprises.
6. The bunkhouse presently has a toilet, but the room is unfinished and without a shower or sink.
7. There is no internet or phone line. We have found the cell signal adequate for YouTube and Netflix.
PROS:
1. The back room has new laundry machines, both washer and dryer.
2. The cabin has a finished bathroom with sink, shower, towels, toilet, and lots of hot water.
3. The Wood stove! With wood.
4. Wild animals live nearby but few people. On one side is undeveloped, wooded shoreline; and on the other is an abandoned cabin.
5. It is an easy 8 minute drive to Glacier National Park

Notes on seasonal animals/insects:
Bears are frequent visitors to the property. They are most active in early spring and late summer/fall, but they are seen on the property throughout the summer. Please be alert, keep all food and food containers inside, and carry bear spray.
There will also be a small number of tickets released again, 24 hours prior.
The Many Glacier Valley will be under serious construction, and access will be limited in a different way than the rest of the park.
