With the spectacular surrounding scenery, there's always something to do in this area during any season.

The beamed ceilings, retro furnishings, and mountain-friendly feel inside make this place feel like your private cabin! The living room is relaxed and welcoming with cozy furniture, soft carpeting, and a flatscreen TV where you can watch cable. There's even a gas fireplace to warm up next to after a day on the slopes. Winter access is 1 1/2 miles and 45-60 minutes of cross country skiing or snowshoeing from your car. In the winter, location is an absolute mecca for those who love cross country skiing and snowshoeing, with miles of trails right out the front door.

Outdoor adventure awaits with biking, hiking and swimming within minutes of the Marshall Cabin. Come home to a warm and cozy cabin with a fire in the woodstove and lots of games and puzzles. Cook out on the gas BBQ during the summer months overlooking the Mt Hood National Forest and spend time with your friends and family while you share stories of your day’s adventures.

The fully equipped kitchen is set up to cook a feast with all full-sized appliances including a range and oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, dishwasher and all of the pots, pans, utensils and serveware.

- "Great place great location" - "One of our favorite trips every year is snowshoeing into Trillium Lake for a few days. This was our first time staying at this house and we loved it. Nice to have 4 bedrooms to spread out. Kitchen / dining / living are on the smaller side but because they’re all open to one another, it worked fine for us. We loved the covered front porch and were delighted to have so much snow this year to play in. Also loved that this house is off the main trail so incredibly peaceful."

Great location. Adjacent to Ski Bowl West (there is a walkable trail connecting the property to Ski Bowl less than 1,000 ft away). Mt. Hood Brewery is across Highway 35 from the house. Great home base for snowshoeing, skiing, snowboarding, hiking, biking, alpine slides, kayaking on Trillium Lake or just hanging out on the back patio.

Both upstairs bedrooms have kings sized beds and en-suite bathrooms. Both downstairs bedrooms have queen beds and a shared full bathroom. Additionally, there is a special twin loft bed for wizarding fans, an extra twin mattress, crib mattress, and 2 pack n plays.

- "No issues" - "The house was in a great location to access both ends of the SkiBowl Adventure Park. It was quick access to all the attractions. Check in was quick and easy. We loved the spacious house; with all 10 of us and a dog we had plenty of room to visit and have space to ourselves if we wanted. The master suite was impressive with a great view of Mt Hood and the rest of the bedrooms were roomy and very comfortable. My 14yo, 6 ft, son took over the wizard nook as soon as he saw it and really enjoyed his own space. The kitchen was well stocked and had plenty of room to cook for the 10 of us. The table was kinda tight for 10 but we made it work. We BBQd both days also which was nice on the hotter day. The house stayed pretty cool on it's own too; without AC I wasn't sure what to expect on a 85 degree day. The small neighborhood was quite while we were there. It's a very nice area, secluded from the highway in the trees, even though you can hear some road noise and big trucks. Overall, would recommend to big groups and will probably try it out this winter too."

- "We were 3 families with teenagers + their friends. There was plenty of space for each group to have chill time. We all enjoyed the game room and large living room on the ground floor and had group dinners, games and movies down there. Easy walk to restaurants and the little grocery store. We all walked to Cosmic Tubing at Ski Bowl East and had a blast. Short drives to Meadows and Timberline (or shuttle) for skiing/snowboarding. Beautiful snowshoe and cross country trails from the Nordic center for us non-downhillers. All 5 units were super clean. Hot tubs too. Super organized throughout and great communication from John. Loved this place!"

The Trails Out Lodge is located in the heart of the alpine village at the base of the Glade Trail (hence the name). It was constructed in 1936 for the Fred Van Dyke family, one of the first operators of Timberline Lodge. The cabin features a knotty pine interior and a majestic stone fireplace reminiscent of the stonework at Timberline Lodge.

The main level contains the living room / dining area, kitchen, utility room, a bedroom, a half-bathroom, and the main entry foyer. The upstairs contains two more bedrooms and a bathroom with shower. Each upstairs bedroom has air-conditioning during the summer for better warm weather sleeping. There have been multiple improvements throughout the years to make the cabin more comfortable, convenient, and safe without sacrificing the work done by the skilled craftsman of the 1930's.

The roads to the cabin and parking at the cabin are plowed during winter. There is parking for three cars on site with nearby public parking available for additional vehicles.

The cabin has plenty of yard area for children to play and just up the road at the dead end is a great winter play area with a hill ideal for inner-tubing. Access to the trails along the north side of Government Camp are accessed through this area and lead to a large network of hiking/cross country skiing/snowshoeing trails. Trails to south side of the village can be access by walking over the Multorpor bridge. These trails give easy access all the way to Trillium Lake and beyond.

Village shops and restaurants are only a two-minute walk away, ideal for be able to leave the car at the cabin when doing culinary and retail exploring.

The cabin is stocked with board games and videos. The Govy General Store (200' away) rents DVD's and sells items to make your trip even more enjoyable.

While at the cabin don't forget to check out the Mt. Hood Museum and Cultural Center.

This cabin is vintage 1936 (Timberline Lodge era), this means it’s full of quirks and character and that’s why we adore it so much. If you are more comfortable in a sleek modern cabin, we gently suggest this cabin might not be the best fit for your getaway.

The stairs are steep, narrow, and partially open on one side. To prevent an accident young children need to be supervised by their parents when using the stairs.

IMPORTANT - Shortly after booking our cabin we will request payment for County Room Tax which VRBO is currently unable to capture at booking. These taxes are 6.85% of the amount you pay to VRBO. This situation is unwelcome for everyone, so we hope VRBO will update their software soon! All owners using VRBO for lodging on Mt. Hood are in the same situation. They used to collect this tax but tell us now their software is unable to do it. VRBO has told me they are working on a solution.

This cozy and cheerful cabin is a skiers dream and is ideally located for downhill and cross-country skiing in the winter, as you can ski from Timberline Lodge straight to the home's doorstep via the Glade Trail! This newly remodeled mountain cabin offers guests the use of a newly updated kitchen to cook delicious meals in plus a comfortable living area that is centered around a wood-burning fireplace insert that is the perfect spot to warm up by after a long day of skiing or snowshoeing! This adorable home can accommodate up to five guests, so bring the loved ones along and enjoy this amazing space!

What’s nearby:
The cabins neighborhood is great for walking. In a few minutes, you can stroll to Government Camp’s main drag where you’ll find a small grocery, several restaurants and bars, and places to rent or buy outdoor gear for all seasons. Without getting in the car, you can be cross-country skiing or hiking, depending on the season, on the Glade Trail, Crosstown Trail, or around Trillium Lake. A short drive will take you to Ski Bowl, Timberline Lodge, Mt. Hood Meadows, the Teacup Nordic Center or Cooper Spur Resort. Take advantage of Government Camp’s increasingly-vibrant commercial strip, where you’ll find a small grocery store, several restaurants and bars, and several places to rent or buy outdoor gear for all seasons. If you’re looking for lower prices on rental equipment, there are several rental stores in surrounding towns (e.g. Sandy, Rhododendron, Parkdale).

- "Been coming here since it was listed and never fails to disappoint. Great interior, has everything you need and awesome location. See you next year!" - "Thank you for this delightful space. Comfortable beds, and high quality bedding; a well equip kitchen and bathroom. We recommend bringing a Hot Water Bottle as upstairs gets cold at night. Location was great, a short walk to magnificent hiking paths. We caught the unusually hot weather in October, and visited local lakes Mirror and Tillicum for magical hikes and a surprise swim. One thing, as others have noted, the bright street light shines directly into the East facing bedroom all night, I brought an eye mask specifically, as I had read about this bright light in another review."

The Camp Creek Lodge is located in the heart of the alpine village at the base of the Glade Trail. It was constructed in 1938. The cabin features a knotty pine interior and a majestic stone fireplace.

The main level contains the entry foyer, living room / dining area, kitchen, utility room, a full-bathroom, a half-bathroom, and the main entry foyer. The upstairs contains two bedrooms, and a sleeping area at the top of the stairs. Each upstairs bedroom has air-conditioning during summer for better warm weather sleeping. There have been multiple improvements throughout the years to make the cabin more comfortable, convenient, and safe without sacrificing the work done by the skilled craftsman of the 1930's.

The roads to the cabin and parking at the cabin are plowed during winter. There is parking for two cars on site with nearby public parking available for additional vehicles.

The cabin has plenty of yard area for children to play and just up the road at the dead end is a great winter play area with a hill ideal for inner-tubing. Access to the trails along the north side of Government Camp are accessed through this area and lead to a large network of hiking/cross country skiing/snowshoeing trails. Trails to south side of the village can be access by walking over the Multorpor bridge. These trails give easy access all the way to Trillium Lake and beyond.

Village shops and restaurants are only a two minute walk away, ideal for be able to leave the car at the cabin when doing culinary and retail exploring.

The cabin is stocked with board games and videos. The Govy General Store (200' away) rents DVD's and sells items to make your trip even more enjoyable.

While at the cabin don't forget to check out the Mt. Hood Museum and Cultural Center.

This cabin is vintage 1938 (Timberline Lodge era) with a 1974 addition, this means it’s full of quirks and character and that’s why we adore it so much. If you are more comfortable in a sleek modern cabin, we gently suggest this cabin might not be the best fit for your getaway.

IMPORTANT - Shortly after booking our cabin we will request payment for County Room Tax which VRBO is currently unable to capture at booking. These taxes are 6.35% of the amount you pay to VRBO. This situation is unwelcome for everyone, so we hope VRBO will update their software soon! All owners using VRBO for lodging on Mt. Hood are in the same situation. They used to collect this tax but tell us now their software is unable to do it. VRBO has told me they are working on a solution.

Located between Mt Hood and Hood River. This large and secluded property has expansive views, cherry trees, open pastures, cedar groves and a glacier-fueled creek. It's paradise.

The cabin is spacious and bright and opens up to a large deck with a Mt. Hood view. High vaulted ceilings and a gallery of windows open up to nature all around you. Sleeps 7 with 4 bedrooms (1 King, 1 Queen, 2 Twins and 1 Twin) and 2 large full bathrooms. The kitchen has just been remodeled and is equipped with all you'll need! Relax by the wood burning stove or the fireplace downstairs.

This is a split level cabin, with the kitchen, eating area, master bedroom and bathroom upstairs and the living room, 3 bedrooms, the 2nd bathroom, utility room downstairs. It is very interconnected and open, yet offers privacy for everyone.

It is also a perfect setting to for a ski vacation. 30 minutes from Meadows (HRM parking lot), 30 mins from Teacup Nordic Skiing. We're at 2200 ft elevation. Plenty of snow falls in Parkdale, 4x4 vehicle with snow tires are required.

In the fall: Take part of the Fruit Loop! Apples and Pears at all the local orchards, Wine harvest throughout the Valley's many wineries.

- "This was the perfect place to stay to attend a wedding at The Orchard. The view of Mt. Hood from the deck was a fabulous place to drink coffee. The property is quiet and peaceful. Parkdale restaurants and the coffee shop are great. Will stay again." - "Perfect location! Quiet and very well appointed - fantastic fireplace that was super easy to use. Plenty of space and beautiful updated kitchen. We would definitely stay again." - "We came to watch the meteor shower from a dark and quiet location, and this lovely home did not disappoint. The house was immaculate, with a marvelous array of old photos, art, and literature (including wonderful plant guides and cookbooks). The property sits on a grassy hillside, with a well-placed firepit at one end. The rest of the property is densely wooded. Although there is a creek at the bottom of the property (which makes a delightful sound), the trail to get there is overgrown in spots and can be a bit tricky to navigate. That said, we loved all the birdlife, the raspberry and veggie garden, and the gorgeous flowers and lavender. The owner, Marketa, was a joy to work with. Our only real criticism, and this is a matter of taste, is that the beds were a little on the soft side, but overall this place is a real winner. The breathtaking local views of Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams are truly unbeatable."
