The bathroom was fine with a decent shower and the room facilities quite adequate. We stayed in cabin 9 which had 2 beds - a small double and a single, fridge and microwave and air conditioning, which was very welcome, if a little noisy. The outside seating area was lovely and the ice cream shop across the road not to be missed! We stayed on a Monday so couldn't visit Beckies cafe sadly, as it is not open Mondays. There are many walking options from the site but it's only a short drive to Crater Lake and ideal to get an early start there."

Fishing, Swimming, Hiking - all available at our lovely mother-in-law cottage located on 6 acres along the Kalama River. Cottage has outdoor deck that spills our onto the river front. Site has multiple river access and walking path. The unit is nicely decorated with living area, dining, bedroom with queen bed and loft with double bed. Property is 4 miles from the town of Kalama where there are multiple restaurants and antique shops. Special events can be hosted at site.

The space
We are along a pristine fishing river with over 1500 lineal feet of river bank. In the summer there is swimming and great floats down this river. Fire pits, outdoor decks and river access makes this a wonderful spot to spend a few days to unwind and enjoy the outdoors. We can also provide fishing guide service along the river.

Guess will have access to two parking spaces. Site also has outdoor deck with seating, fire pit and bar-b-que.

Other things to note
This is a get away outdoor retreat, soooooo no cable tv, very little if any WiFi. So enjoy the river and scenery! This year our hens are fully grown so fresh eggs are available most days - check the refrigerator in stall labeled "Eggs". Also we will be starting our garden this year - so fresh veggies and herbs will be available for your stay during growing season. Let us know if you want a fishing guide or places to hike. St Helens is a wealth of hiking availability. Lastly we are on septic so only toilet paper down the toilet please. Enjoy unplugged!

Lounge on the deck and listen to the river echo off the canyon wall or drive 10 minutes to world class hiking, gorge sports, vineyards, breweries, restaurants. River trails right out the door for walking, fishing, kayaking. Great spot for foraging, wildlife sitings and star gazing. Furnished kitchen, BBQ on the deck, super comfy bed. Our well is spring fed and glacial. It gets dark and quiet at night. Come reconnect.

The space
Spacious deck and grilling area with BBQ, comfy window benches and deep chairs, couch with a view of the canyon. Wood stove. The whole place feels like a treehouse. Wildflowers and fishing holes in the yard. The fields below the house were, until recently, a lake formed by the Condit dam. The dam was removed in 2012, reestablishing the wild and scenic area of the white salmon river. The cabin is a 10 minute drive to White Salmon and a 15 minute drive to Hood River. Both towns have good grocery stores and great options for eating and drinking out.

Guest access
There are beautiful trails along the river accessible from the fields below the house. You can also walk up the gravel road and turn left before the mailboxes to explore epic views of the white salmon gorge. Experienced kayakers can put in or take out by the house, but please use only your own gear. Short drive to Post Canyon or Sincline for Mountain biking, or ride the Nester Peak trails in the neighborhood. We are 15 minutes from all the Hood River wind sports and less than 1 hour to Mount Hood Meadows.

This is a fairly large chalet. It can easily handle our family (Nick, Natasha, Nina and our labradoodle “Dekki”), plus up to 2 guests per room in the other rooms. It is a 3 story building — 2100 sqft. The doors squeak and the floors creak a little, lending to an authentic vintage chalet experience!

Peaceful log cabin on 1/2 acre across the river from the town of Skykomish. 2 BRs plus hideabed, 2 full baths, fully equipped kitchen, wood stove for ambiance. Cathedral windows look toward the Cascade mountains. 15 mins to skiing, hiking and swimming in the river. 2 Night Minimum. Bring your gear and food and voila!

The space
This is a true family log home where we have spent many wonderful ski and summer vacations. It is appointed with toys for youngsters, wood for the wood stove, and feels very euro inspired and cozy inside. Can sleep 6 comfortably as there are 2 bedrooms and a pull out couch in the main living room that turns into a full bed that can sleep 2. An air mattress is located in the downstairs bedroom closet for additional sleeping arrangements to accommodate 2 more if need be.

Guest access
There are lots of hikes, biking trails, rivers and lakes that are nearby. The town of Skykomish with it's new minature railroad is walking distance, and we are one lot away from the Skykomish River. Stevens Pass ski resort is 16 miles east of the cabin and has some of the best skiing in the NorthWest. The town of Leavenworth is also 55 minutes east.

If you want to enjoy the outdoors of the Cascade Mountains - this is your base. All four seasons are amazing. Our cabin is located at 900 feet in elevation, so there is always access in and out of the area. The views are to die for.

Hello and welcome to Shellrock Cabin, part of the Nelson Creek Cabin vacation rentals! Our property is nestled on 2 quiet acres with views of the Columbia River and surrounding Cascade mountains. Skamania Lodge, Bridge of the Gods, Mt. Hood, Dog Mountain, Multnomah Falls, White Salmon, Hood River and Portland are just a few close destinations. Plenty of parking for boats and RV's. Shellrock cabin is a comfortable place where you can escape, relax and unwind in this beautiful setting.

The space
Within a few miles, you will find golf courses, brew pubs, restaurants, farmer's markets, shops, waterfalls, wineries, kite boarding, wind surfing, sailing, kayaking, hiking, fishing, and numerous other recreational adventures. Portland and its airport is a easy 45 minute drive. Enjoy the Columbia Gorge Interpretative Center, Maple Leaf Events, Blues and Bluegrass weekend festivals, Skamania County Fair, local parks, Beacon RockState Park, Maryhill, White Salmon, and Hood River Wineries.

Guests will have access to the full house and parking lot. Boats and RV's are permitted.

3. Animals and/or pets: The health of all our guests is very important to us. We have been informed by guests and our housekeeper, they can suffer serious allergic reactions to animal hair and/or dander. Therefore, we do not allow animals and/or pets in our cabin.

There are dishes & utensils for 2, microwave, pots & pans, Kuerig coffee pot, full size fridge and stove and a 50 inch Smart TV.

No smoking of any kind. No fire or fireworks of any kind on the property. Absolutely no hunting on this property!

This cabin is remote and is tucked in the woods. There are 3 lodges close by with great restaurants. Harriman' s is the closest.

The cabin sleeps six comfortably.
King bed, queen bed and two twin beds. Walking distance or short drive to crater lake zip line, lots of beautiful hiking trails, miles of lake to canoe or kayak. Only 45 miles to crater lake. Fully stocked kitchen. Quiet and peaceful. Fire pit outside for campfire. BBQ grill

Other things to note
Odessa market and the 140 Country Store are small convenience stores located approx 1.5 miles from the cabin on hwy 140 with limited items to buy 8am-8pm.

Groceries can be purchased in Klamath falls which is about a 30 minute drive.

Splendid views of Mt Adams can be enjoyed directly from this cabin. This cabin features floor to ceiling windows for great views and a lot of natural light, lofted bedroom with a comfortable queen-sized bed, pull-down Murphy Bed downstairs (queen-size), futon (can be a converted to a twin bed), large bathroom with Jacuzzi tub and retractable shower head. This cabin has a partial kitchen with a place setting for 4 guests. A propane fireplace will keep you warm and comfortable in cozy ambiance.

The space
We have 5 beautiful cabins that reside on our property and range in and amenities. The property is partially forested with lush green lawns and gardens intermixed throughout. Gorgeous views of Mt. Adams can be enjoyed from various spots on the property. Each cabin has its own BBQ and picnic table area to enjoy your meal outdoors. The property features a couple hammocks for guests to relax and take in the fresh air as well as a community firepit that anyone is welcome to enjoy (unless the county burn ban is in effect). On the other side of the property from the cabins is the one and only Mt. Adams Pizza where guests can enjoy delicious pizza, salads, ice cream, beer, wine, and other treats.

Our property is located just a short jaunt to the Gifford Pinchot and Mount Adams Wilderness where recreation, beauty, and adventure abound. Come to our cabins to getaway, seek adventure, take in the beauty and nature, or just relax & rejuvenate away from it all…..you deserve it!

Guest access
The key to your cabin (Cabin #2, 2nd cabin from the left) will actually be left right in the front door. Please feel free to walk right in and make yourself at home :) Easy peasy! Pet Policy: Pets require acknowledgment of financial responsibility for any damages and added $25+tax cleaning charge per pet. Maximum weight is 75 lbs.

* Some dates may require a two-night minimum stay. In general, Memorial Day through New Years and other major holidays will require a minimum two-night stay.

The space

The Elk Trax is the perfect fit for a couple or small family with an upstairs sleeping loft and a downstairs bedroom complete with bunk beds. Our rustic 1963 A-Frame is located in the High Valley neighborhood community and completely furnished with everything you need for your getaway: a fully stocked (and newly remodeled) kitchen, wood stove, smart TV, DVD/Blu-ray, and high speed Wifi. The bathroom boasts an on-demand hot water heater, a heated floor, as well as soap, shampoo and towels. The adjacent empty lot provides open space for outdoor games and a fire pit for roasting s'mores and campfire fun (during summer months please check on burn ban information). The outdoor deck is perfect for happy-hour gatherings, and there is an assortment of movies, games, books and puzzles for cozy nights on the couch by the fireplace.

Enjoy the entire cabin, as well as the adjoining empty lot, which includes an open fire pit* and available firewood (RV's possible, please inquire for more information). *Please check with Lewis County burn ban information regarding fires in the summer before lighting a fire.

Check in time is 4 p.m. or after and check out time is 11 a.m. There is a 2-3 night minimum for all requests, 3 night minimum for holidays. Once reservations are confirmed we will send you more detailed check-in instructions along with the lock-box information once your stay is confirmed.
