- "The building is beautifully decorated in a traditional style and is truly outstanding. However, what really sets this place apart is the wonderful landlady. She is extremely helpful, welcoming, warm, and always willing to provide all kinds of support and help. During our stay, she assisted us greatly with currency exchanges, ordering taxis, and even took care of our children's meals when we were too busy to do so ourselves. We had traveled to Havana for an urgent matter at the Canadian embassy, and staying at this safe, nice, and beautiful place with such kind people at the top made a difficult situation much easier. I cannot express enough gratitude to the kind landlady. I highly recommend this place to anyone ."

- "I arrived to the Hostel and was met by Laritza and Magalis. They were welcoming and so kind. They gave me information about the area, and gave me advice about where to go and what to see. I had booked dance lessons, but wasn't sure how to get to the location. Laritza called and got directions for me, and made sure I knew how to get there and back. The breakfast was delicious. A real luxury in Cuba, with an egg, fruit, good strong coffee and freshly squeezed juice. I ate on the patio overlooking the city. It was the perfect way to start my day The hostel was great! It was clean, had good air conditioning, hot water for the showers, a shower head, a flush toilet, and the bed was comfortable. It's in a good location. a short walk from any of the main sites. I was able to walk to Parque Cespedes in less than 10 mins at a slow pace as well as the main shopping areas. It's a little far to walk from the bus station, just have them arrange a taxi for you. It's $5.00.USD The WiFi worked well in the main living areas, there is a laundry service available, and a safe in the room. I can't say enough good things about the staff. They were kind, considerate, warm and caring. lovely people! I"ll definitely stay there next time I'm in town! "

- "This is one of my absolute favourite places to stay in the whole world! Julio is the nicest host you could possibly ask for! A really nice and very helpful guy! If atmosphere is important then look no further, his house is as atmospheric as they come! Big room with high ceiling, a fantastic living room with an awesome atmosphere and a beautiful courtyard withlotsof greenery! A very quiet and peaceful slice of heaven on earth! You will share the house with Julio, the very friendly dog Guadeloupe and two equally friendly cats! The house is more than 100 years old and super clean with nice hot shower, aircon and the best of all, no tv to ruin the amazing atmosphere of times gone by! This is the perfect place to relax and recharge before strolling over to my favourite café in Cuba, Café de la Ciudad on my favourite plaza in Cuba, Parque Agramonte for an afternoon Café Americano! I cannot recommend Hostal La Fuente highly enough, a fantastic place to stay while in relaxed and charming Camagüey! Don't miss it!"

We didn’t have to go beyond 4 blocks for shopping, restaurants, music, a park with local vendors and of course the beautiful beach of Varadero. We had many wonderful conversations and moments with the community. Bexy made the best breakfast we had in Cuba for the 9 days we were there. She was also so helpful with everything we needed. Usimi (next door neighbor) braided my hair along with my daughter’s. Miguel and Anna (owners) are very warm and friendly. Overall, it was a very memorable experience. "

They charge you more for everything. The transportation is very bad, it is better to ask for a taxi (you can get it MUCH cheaper in the area where El Cristo is than with them). DO NOT exchange money with them, you are better off exchanging it on the street, as they are going to steal your money. The service is terrible, they treat you well only on the first day. The staff is HORRIBLE. If you want to enjoy Havana at night you won't be able to with them. They don't let you leave after 10 pm and they close the doors. The food is very bad, it is better to eat outside. If you want to enjoy your trip, don't stay here, I say this from experience. Son estafadores. Te cobran todo más caro. La transportación es muy mala, es mejor pedir un taxi (el área donde esta El Cristo lo puedes conseguir MUCHO más económico que con ellos). NO cambien dinero con ellos, sales mejor cambiandolo en la calle, ellos te van a robar el dinero.El servicio es pésimo, te tratan bien solo el primer día.Si quieres disfrutar de la Habana por la noche no podrás con ellos. No te dejan salir luego de las 10 pm y te cierran las puertas. La comida es muy mala, es mejor comer afuera. Si quieres disfrutad tu viaje, no te quedas aqui, lo digo por experiencia."

Very warm and caring lady ran the property.
