- "The Shipyard is a ultra modern high tech hotel. We stayed in a suite complete with kitchen which was most useful. The room was large and airy. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. The served breakfast had a large selection to suite every need. The hotel was great but if i had to find fault, the location is a bit far - 10 to 15 minutes walk - from town. Also the hotel is located in a commercial area with some run-down buildings in the vicinity. This modern hotel seems out of place. Nevertheless, I would certainly recommend this property in spite of its location. "

The suite itself had a very spacious feel and a separate room for us to use to relax in once we had put the children to bed. Jeff, the owner was incredibly kind to our family and made us feel incredibly welcome here. A lovely home away from home feeling. But the truth is that there are a lot of people in the area coming in and out and thus there isn’t a lot of privacy. Moreover, the camping on the other side of the street was very noisy at night. The noise was made louder because we needed to keep the window open as the apartment gets super hot and there is no AC. Finally the extra fee of 30 euros in cash only and for which there is no receipt is a shame given the price."
