We were upgraded to a junior suite which was roomy and well laid out. The bathroom was the best hotel bathroom I've seen in decades -- enough counter space, 2 sinks, things arranged in sensible ways (I'm convinced that most hotel bathroom designers have never stayed in a hotel!). The breakfast buffet is excellent with something for everyone (except no chocolate sprinkes for the Dutch). Make sure your rate includes breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful. The towel system means availability of towels for the beach or the hot pools. The grounds are pleasant -- we saw the uniquely Azorean daylight bat flying out near the tennis court. The beach is very close. As others have commented, the location is isolated and you will need a car, but it is quite central on the island."
