My wife got out the car to check us in. The door was locked(8pm) so she rang the Ring Doorbell, no answer. I rang the phone number no answer. She began checking us in and explained about the parking at £5 per night(no problem with this) She was helpful and polite. We got the key and headed to the room. It was pretty clear this hotel was old and needed serious investment. We got to the room and I must admit I was relieved as the room was clean as were the beds. Yes the room needs an upgrade but at least it was clean. I didn’t need to find somewhere else to stay. For £270 for the two nights, I did expect better than what we got. Decided not to eat Breakfast(which was an extra charge) in the hotel due to the overall cleanliness. We walked round the corner to a B&B the rest of our family stayed in and ate with them. On check out we had to wait for around ten mins for the same lady to come running over the street again. By this time there were 3 or 4 other rooms trying to check out, a few of these people were making complaints. Overall it’s a pretty poor hotel for the money we paid, would have been better paying for two rooms in the same hotel as the rest of the family (£70 per night including breakfast) "
